You didn't normally argue with Oscar, you mostly had the same thoughts on a thing as you did. But when you did fight, it was normally over absolutely nothing.

Oscar had been gone for several weeks, and you had just had enough already. You wanted a boyfriend who sees you almost every day. Oscar was traveling country after county for the races.

"I'll be back before you know it, Y/N" you had tears in your eyes.

"I can't do it, Oscar! I can't do it anymore! You never have time for me anymore! You're always away! Do you not care about me anymore? I will keep floating around like a ghost. It's totally fine, let's pretend I just don't exist. You come back for like 2 days, and then you're gone again! I want someone to be with me as much as possible! I want someone to hug!"

You stopped yelling for a minute and looked at Oscar's expression. You ran out of the room balling your eyes out, realizing you weren't meant to say that. Furthermore, you ran into the bathroom and slammed the door shut.

You sat on the toilet seat and sulked into your hands. You couldn't help but cry loudly. Not on purpose, obviously. But minutes later you walked out of the bathroom into your guest, room.

As it had been already late, you decided to sleep there. You didn't want to go back to him and apologize, even tho you knew that the words you used were harsh.

You made everything ready for bed and laid on it. Not only that, but you tried to go to sleep, but the argument was stuck in your head. And you couldn't sleep that well without Oscar.

When Oscar was with you, he held you, or you held him. Cuddled until you both fell into a deep slumber. Even when he wasn't with you, he called you, so you could fall asleep while you were facetiming.

But now that the season was getting stressful, Oscar didn't have time for you anymore. He rarely called or texted you. You knew that he was busy, but it still made you upset.

You understood, you always did.

At the beginning of your relationship, you knew what you were getting into, but now it was very hard for you. You wanted a boyfriend that you saw every or every two days. But with Oscar that couldn't be the case.

You were lying in the guest bed and couldn't sleep. You had turned and moved to other positions, but nothing had worked. Oscar was what you needed. His comfort.

But then Oscar knocked on the door and walked in.

"Y/N, can we please talk about this? We need to talk".

You looked up at him and slightly nodded. He sat on the bed and looked at you with guilt and worry.

"I know I'm traveling a lot. I'm sorry babe. But If you leave me, I won't have anything to love, cuddle and look forward to when I'm coming close to the end of the season. I know this is hard, and I'm sorry I try to fly you out as much as I can, and you know that"

"I'm so sorry, Oscar. It wasn't supposed to come out like that, I mean, it's how I feel but the way I said it wasn't really all that good. I feel horrible, and I do appreciate everything you do for me. I love you, Oscar"

"I love you too, baby. But, can you please come back to bed. I can't sleep without you, and as I see you can't either."

You nodded at him and stepped on the floor. He took your hand in his and walked with you to your shared bedroom, so you could cuddle and talk about what else was on your mind.

But one thing was clear. Neither of you could sleep without the other one for very long. You were each other's safe place.

Now, Peter would appreciate how protective you could be, but it got a little overbearing at times, especially after you got impaled by an abnormal doc ock. Hed make you have a sit down with him about how dangerous it is, and how he feels protective of you too, so he doesn’t wanna lose you.

He can only imagine the insane amount of trauma youd have after losing your universe, especially if it was cause on accident by yourself. He would always make sure you have someone to talk too, and somewhere to go if you need it.

He would open his home to you, even after he got back with MJ and had Mayday, and you end up being a common sight in their home, to the point where MJ starts calling you their spiderson, and Pete ruffles your hair and calls you his kid.

Mayday absolutely loves you, even though Peter fears how protective you’ll be of her. If you were protective of Peter, with Mayday it’s a million times worse. He’s pretty sure he’s caught you hissing at other spiderpeople who get too close sometimes.

He still loves you very much, as he’s come to see you as his kid one way or another, you two just have a lot of things you need to work through, and Peter and the rest of his family is with you the entire way.

Miguel O’Hara

Miguel would be annoyed by how protective you were, because deep down he would feel he doesn’t deserve it. Especially after you get hurt protecting him, taking the stinger of an abnormal Scorpion for him.

He wouldn’t know how to feel about you till this point, or why you got attached to him of all people. But as you lay there feverish and hallucinating thanks to the poison from the Scorpion, he sits and holds you in his arms until you fall unconscious.

Miguel understands what it feels like to lose everything, so he’s actually great to come too if you need to talk. He doesn’t say much, but Miguel makes a great listener, especially after he starts caring for you in return.

Would end up calling you his kid on accident, specifically after you got hurt once again on a mission, and he yells at you that he cant lose another one of his kids. After that you two have to sit down and come to an understanding about your shared self-sacrificial nature.

You both have gone through a lot, and lost even more, but together you are able to build a tiny family with just two members, and that is more than enough, as long as you have each other.

hello! my cat was recently diagnosed with asthma, and her vet says her treatment will be steroids indefinitely (shes currently taking 1ml twice a day, but the goal is to get down to 0.5ml 1/day, as long as that dose is still effective). overall im lucky shes fairly docile, i know my other cats would be a lot more difficult to medicate, but im still struggling with getting the medicine in her mouth. she jerks her head away quickly, and a lot of the time the medicine either misses and gets everywhere, or she'll open her mouth and dump some of it back out. i cant seem to be quick enough with the syringe to get all the liquid in her mouth and have her swallow it.

do you have any advice to make this easier for the both of us? i know itll never be Easy easy, since i cant explain to her that its for her own good, but im stressing that shes not actually getting the medicine since its hard to tell how much got in her mouth and got swallowed. thank you so much for your time, i really really appreciate it even if you dont have any tips.

Hello! I'm sorry to hear your kitty is ill--- asthma is tricky to handle, so it's good that you've got a treatment plan already in progress.

so, it really depends on what kind of medication she's taking. 'Steroids' is a pretty broad group and there are several steroids commonly used for asthma in cats that can be compounded into a tastier form, like small tabs that are much easier to crush and hide in food. Some steroids can even be made into a transdermal paste that just goes on their ear. Personally, I find that transdermal medications don't work as well as oral, but it's something to talk to your vet about.

I strongly encourage you to discuss other options with your vet to see if this is a possibility. Absolutely keep those lines of communication open and explain that you've been having problems dosing your cat.

Another alternative is to try hiding the liquid medication in an especially tasty treat, like a churu or baby food. A LOT of cats absolutely love chicken or ham baby food and it's perfectly safe as long as the baby food doesn't have onions or garlic in it. I know it's VERY controversial but I've also hidden particularly bitter medications in whipped cream--- some cats have very violent stomach upsets from dairy, so it's a VERY calculated risk!

Roomba is pretty difficult to medicate. Due to her various food sensitivities, it's not really an option to compound her medication with flavors. She's also very difficult to burrito, she's too tiny for my typical cat restraint methods, and she won't eat her food if her meds are mixed in. I typically just load up her syringe with SLIGHTLY more medication than is called for and administer it quickly, hoping that most of it stays in her mouth; since pred is very cheap, I'm willing to risk losing some. It's also important to aim for the upper mouth, towards the back, without actually getting it IN her throat directly, because that's a choking risk.

Picking her up quickly by her armpits encourages her to swallow. I don't let her feet leave the floor when i do this, because it's uncomfortable for cats to dangle like that. Just the quick pick-up seems to do it. Gently blowing air in her face also seems to work.

your biggest hype man!! never wastes a chance to tell you how amazing and talented and awesome and charismatic and energizing you are. genuinely feels so much ease when he's with you - and you feel such with him as well!

loves loves loves to call you while he's away!! especially before you go to bed or once you wake up in the morning - sometimes when he's on tour, the time differences can line up just right.

when tours end, it almost became a habit to have him spend the next day with you in its entirety, making sure an extra set of his pajamas are at your place for his return.

an extra phone charger in his car in case you left yours at your place, another pair of earbuds straight from the package just for you, making sure to have your favorite morning beverage in the dorm at all times or having duplicates of whatever toiletries you have in his own bathroom for when you visit. shows just how much he really pays attention to you through more indirect practices, funnily enough.

but that isn't to say he wont be very direct at times!

he'll often ask you what it is exactly you want or need. want some space to study? got it. need some company while you run some errands? he'll offer to drive you around.

again, very much wants you to know you can depend on him, even if his work is demanding. he'll always be sure you know that he's there for you to rely on.

consider lawbepo body worship...once a month law has a routine where he spends like a whole day aggressively and intensely appreciating bepo (its his stress relief/cuteness aggression venting) and it happens every month and yet bepo is fucked up and fucked silly every time the poor thing

i love this thought so much because poor bepo..he is so insecure...he fights it when it comes to law because law asked to believe him that he loves him? and being worried means he is disrespecting the captain BUT....its hard for him still. better than it used to be because he is so loved and supported but its just his psychology..he is weak and vulnerable by nature he cant help it

rationally bepo understands that he is law's both treasured friend and a lover but its still!!! his captain is so important!!! he is so important and larger than life! so law spending time and paying him his full attention is overwhelming always, especially cuz when bepo accidentally slips and says something that implies he may be undeserving- law is SO firm on rejecting that idea that it makes bepo want to cry how is he allowed to be so happy!

Hello! I want to start this post by telling you guys something really interesting...

Tl;dr: I'm taking a break for a month due to severe stress and performance anxiety, plus college and work is kicking me in the arse, but do send requests and prompts in because I need to write them FLUFF to get rid of the stress. Love ya!

So a month ago I stumbled upon a really amazing writer here on tumblr dearest, and I immediately fell in love with their work. It was so well written, and I couldn't comprehend the fact that it was the first ever story they've ever written and they wrote it under such circumstances that if I were to be put in their position, I can guarantee I wouldn't even be able to string a coherent sentence.

Anyway, that really got me thinking.

It's been two months since I first started writing, and revisiting old works of mine reveals something along the lines of "I'm not improving," and "I'm not creative."

It's been a problem I seem to notice, is that I struggle a lot with characterization (ESPECIALLY this) and pacing, among other things that makes me view my works mostly as blegh.

I know comparing is probably not the best way to develop, and I wouldn't say I'm envious of people's talents (because it's obvious some people are just so great at stuff lmao) but it's more like I'm disappointed in myself I guess(?)

In the collective 20 works that I've published over the two months, I still can't fully grasp what works and what doesn't with the Fandom, and I can't quite identify nor fix the problems in my writings. Combined with the burn out, this makes writing a very painful process for me even though I really want to enjoy it.

I rely very heavily on external validations and to see that in the midst of the dead Fandom (when compared to when it's at its peak), people can still garner almost 1k notes in the span of a week (and I can see why it's very well loved), posting here just makes me so stressed when I shouldn't even be.

It got so bad to the point I have trouble breathing every time I think about writing, and although now it doesn't happen as often, the performance anxiety is pretty much there.

Work, as well as college too has been a pretty great contributor for my stress and to put writing on top of that is just excruciating for me.

And that's why I'm taking a break!

It'll probably a month break like how I've stated in previous post, because it's become apparent I need rest LMAO

Thank you so much for the support you guys have shown and sent my way, I want to say that I really appreciate it! Honestly I wouldn't get this far without you guys, I love you so much!

I've set some reblogs for other creator's works while I'm gone, because I've been meaning to read but I just haven't found the opportunity for it. People here make such great works <3

If you guys have any requests, PLEASE DON'T HESITATE TO SEND THEM IN. I know this might feel contradictory but as I pointed out, I'm not really imaginative or creative, and I really want to write things, but most of the time I cant come up with anything or what I think is good isn't what you guys want (I know I still have a bunch of requests sitting around, but like I said I write when inspiration struck me).

So yes, send requests in so that I can do some writing during the break, and hopefully come back with a bunch of requests already done and ready to post!

Also, if you guys make it this far, I've got a surprise for you which is I'm finally trying to work on the series I've been planning to do since January HAHA! We'll have to see where it takes me but right now I have so much ideas running around in my brain and not enough waking hour in the day to develop and write it.

How do you guys feel about lord crime v.s. master detective trope BECAUSE I AM CRAZY ABOUT IT.

hello!

i am really excited for the streamer! i cant wait to see the creative freedom it brings you, and im excited by the tease of travel show and ghost files! they look like a fun and exciting adventure i cant wait to get into.

you all have inspired me so much creatively, its hard to express. im working on leading the biggest project ive ever done, and making watcher has been very helpful and reassuring that i'm doing a good job. Anything you guys put out talking about the creative process is so exciting to me because i love hearing other peoples creative paths and how they are similar and different to mine.

not to mention how endlessly entertaining the series are! it feels like watcher was made for me, weirdness, travel, exploration, food, education, stupid jokes, commiting to bits, deep lore, catchy songs about death, bad bartending, etc. this has kept me company in my darkest hours while im dealing with chronic pain, and there isnt enough words to thank you for that.

also!! ive met SO many weirdo friends that i love! ive met friends for life because of you, and we cant be more then greatful. ive been able to set up watcher watch parties, have a bunch of inside jokes vaugely relating to watcher, theres been lots of chaos and good fun happening over here and its just been so fun. it really is a great stress reliver after working all day.

i met shane and ryan in chicago for the recent ghost files tour, i was really nervous and just fumbling around, and yall were so kind and graceful about it! i appreciate it so much, you made my experience 100 times better. and thank you for being extra careful while writing out my tattoo, that was so kind. its something i'll remember for a long time. and seeing my big ol pile of bracelets on the ww+ set (and jarnathans on his wrist) just makes me so happy.

hiiii i love ur works so much! it is sooo difficult to find good zoro fic writers here on tumblr. if it's fine, i really want to see u write an angsty jealousy fic inspired by zoro and tashigi's massive amount of scenes in punk hazard 😭 smth like the reader seeing zoro refuse to put tashigi down, seeing him get friendly and praise her despite having a "relationship" with the reader and bc its too much for her and sanji seems to be the only one unhappy abt zoro being so close to tashigi, she ended up depending on him and zoro gets jealous too but he cant verbalize his feelings and he doesnt know what he did wrong so they kinda fight then SOMETHING LIKE THAT OMF I SUCK AT DESCRIBING BUT PLEEEAAAASEEE IF ITS OKAY I LITERALLY BREATHE AND LIVE FOR U FICS 😭

1.3k words, fem reader, sfw-ish (a little suggestive but nothing wild), lots of angst bc i love it, zoro is dumb, sanji is just trying to help

you know, you know, you fucking know. there’s no need to worry, to let insecurities and negativity fester into something wholly unrecognizable, but it’s hard. too hard, in fact. if you were the sort to give up easily, this wouldn’t be much of a problem — but you’re not. you’re stubborn to a fault, a trait that zoro both admires and dislikes, and don’t see things clearly until you cool off. not necessarily a hot head, you’re more of a passionate person whose imagination gets the best of them when left alone for too long.

on one such occasion, you remind yourself that it’s not what you think, that your mind is being unkind to you again, that the situation is stressful enough that it’s making you unreasonable. but in the pit of your stomach, your fear gets the best of you; it makes you irritable, severe, and possibly a little impulsive. if the situation wasn’t so perilous, you wouldn’t even entertain the idea with working side-by-side with marines, but since luffy doesn’t have a problem, you suppose you shouldn’t either.

but you do. you really fucking do. and why? because of a clumsy, absolutely useless swordswoman who also happens to be a captain. you scoff at that, the navy’s standards are truly declining as the years go on. and there she goes, proving her uselessness by not being able to walk on her own two feet. if you were in a better mood, you would admire zoro’s initiative, his chivalry; but you’re not, so you don’t — nor do you feel you should; tashigi is a marine, after all. a poor excuse for a marine, but a marine nonetheless.

you watch the two of them for so long, you almost forget that you’re also trying to evacuate with the others; you curse at yourself, at your silliness, at your weak-willed heart, and at zoro’s inability to read your mind. because he’s not quite adept at properly expressing himself, especially as it relates to his feelings for you, you constantly wonder. and while he more or less does demonstrate that affection through his actions, you still feel your blood boil at the sight of him being so gentle with her. a bile shoots to the back of your throat, but you refuse to let him — or anyone else, for that matter — see how affected you are.

so, you keep moving; keep fighting to prevent yourself from thinking about him — with her — besides, there are children to save.

one of the unique attributes of your crew, is that you’re all more or less on a similar wavelength, so when one person’s off, it’s noticeable. no matter how hard you try to keep it hidden, sanji sees right through you. as one of your closer friends, it’s almost impossible for him to not do that. you appreciate his candor after he saves you from a stray bullet, his hands gripping your shoulders as he shakes you repeatedly.

you’re aware that you need to be more focused, you know that one wrong move can not only lead to your downfall, but can also lead to the others being affected even more. you refuse to be that sort of burden on your crew mates. you frown, feeling a little foolish, shame making it nearly impossible to look zoro’s way. sensing your emotional distress, sanji sighs softly and puts out his cigarette. when he pulls you in for a hug, you let out a shaky breath, a few tears sliding down your flushed cheeks, lips pressed firmly together as you refuse to let your feelings overwhelm you.

once zoro was absolutely certain that tashigi wouldn’t fall over again, he looks for you. he saw how you watched him earlier, saw the way you refrained from yanking tashigi out of his arms, saw the way you retreated within yourself and doing that thing you like to do when you’re scared: shut him out.

not that he can talk, he’s quite the hypocrite in that regard.

if anyone else were hugging you, he’d be fine; but it isn’t just anyone else, now, is it? no, certainly not. confusion tinged with annoyance pushes him to pull sanji off of you roughly. startled by zoro’s sudden appearance, you watch, silent shock etched onto your face, as he mouths off at the cook. sanji eyes him critically and reminds zoro that he had his hands all over tashigi — the accusation is what makes zoro shove the other man out of his way.

“you don’t know what you’re talking about, so shut it,” he says gruffly, large hand wrapped around your bicep and tugging you along with him — to go somewhere, to not be in that shitty cook’s presence.

“zoro, wait, damn it,” you pinch his arm, which isn’t enough to stop him, but he does slow down.

dark brow twitching, the corners of his mouth turn downwards, “what?”

you almost laugh at that, but refrain. he is so incredibly…thick-headed. which you tell him from time to time and you decide that this is the perfect moment to remind him of that. for some reason, those words set him off; you have so many rules and stipulations, that he can’t keep up with them all. in the midst of the argument, where you’ve finally reached the point of no return, you mention, blithely, that tashigi seemed fine once everything was over. your arms are crossed against your chest, your mouth pursed as you wait for whatever excuse he’s going to concoct — even though you know he’s an honest person through and through.

your words floor him; he barely tolerates the sight of tashigi, let alone finding enjoyment for touching her for that long? you must have lost your mind. that’s the only conclusion he’s come to.

“what the hell would i see in her anyway? she’s so damn annoying, i can’t stand her.” and while you should accept his words as truth, you can’t; you can’t, you can’t, you can’t.

“don’t lie to me, i know what i saw.”

it’s childish, you know that; you know that you should let up, that you should listen to him and keep your mouth shut, but your body is on fire, you have to get that energy out somehow.

because you’re being impossibly you right now, all zoro can do is close his eye, inhale deeply through his nose, and remind himself that he needs to stay calm somehow. your mind berates you as you chew on your bottom lip, waiting for him to say something; the longer you sit with those words, the worse you feel. you shouldn’t have said them. you know he’s telling the truth, but it’s too late, you’re unable to take it back.

you have to see it through, now, no matter how complicated things get afterward.

before you’re able to verbalize that, before you’re able to just ask him for a chance to sort of pause, he opens his eye, an unreadable look briefly crossing his face before he grabs the back of your neck to hold you still.

“how many damn times,” he says while leaning forward, lips brushing against yours, leaving behind a bruising kiss, one that makes you look at him wildly. “do i need to say it?” you know what he’s referring to, but since you’re feeling difficult, you just kiss him again. not wanting to hear about it or speak about it anymore. your kisses are hard and messy, but it suits you — suits the situation you’ve found yourself in.

you know this isn’t exactly the best place for this sort of behavior, but whenever you’re around him, you don’t quite think as logically as you should. it’s another trait of yours that he admires and is actively annoyed by, although if anyone were to ask your opinion, you’ll say that he’s never been annoyed by it at all. that he covertly likes it and can’t bring himself to admit it. it’s the only thing that makes sense to you.

AND WELL LOL that would be because most of wizard au currently isn’t published! the best place to know more stuff about the au is either in my #wizard au tag, or just asking me! i love to talk about it, and right now it’s a lot easier for me to answer asks in my spare moments. i occasionally post screenshots from my doc files on here, but the fics are taking a backseat while I work on my Job Project.

The Pnat At Wizard School AU I Made When I Was 16 Is Still Fun Unfortunately JKR DNI - This was my first attempt at publishing the writing I’d done, before I got embarrassed and orphaned it, back in 2020. It’s a little outdated but most of it holds up. Boggart fic is one of my favorites.

Pnat Hogwarts AU by Twilighteve. I made wizard AU way back in 2015 with a friend, and twilighteve wrote SEVEN FICS as fanwork. The story now is different and follows Isabel rather than Max, but these are still great fics and I’m very lucky to have had someone enjoy my au enough to write so much for them. Throughout the Tournament is a really fun read.

i cant believe i’ve had this story for like 8 years at this point. i think it’s almost more fun to have as an au on my blog than an actual fic series? looking back whenever i start thinking about The Fics i just get stressed out. i’ve had it as an au since 2015 and i’ve had writing wips since 2018. its nice to have something with me for that long, i think thats why i keep coming back to it? even though thinking about it in terms of Fic Output and Writing Order makes me so stressed. at the end of the day it’s mine. and it’s there for be an outlet for me. if i want to be lazy about it, i can. if i want to put a lot of hard work into it, i can. i get to cozy up before bed and imagine wizjo scenarios.

and seeing how the characters have developed over the years has been weird- like, i wrote a lot of this in 2015. what do you MEAN codys a vampire. what do you MEAN theres whole new areas of the paranormal. its funny but when put next to current pnat you can REALLY see how its dated lol. so much is built on top of the 2015-2016 era headcanons like cody & lisa being twins, or not knowing what the spirit in isabels umbrella was like. we didnt know flipflop yet!!!! hes just not in there!!!!! we didnt know what the BERG was so max isnt a catboy!!! davy doesnt exist!!!!!!!

and there are in-comic background characters that we would talk about and gave names who show up in the au. these two are chasers on the gryffindor quidditch team with isabel & johnny:

& we named them sarah and logan. that might canonically be their names too????? but i cant remember.

Here are some very practical Wizard AU facts:

Story spans from 2nd year when Isabel loses Eightfold to 7th(?) year when they graduate

The biggest reason so much isn’t on AO3 is because theres so much I have no idea how to organize it. For example:

At my current pace, I have ~5 fics based on central emotional beats. In order to keep things interesting for non-izjo readers, I tried adding a little overarching plot

Said plot now vastly overshadows the initial series purpose of a Dorky 6 Year Long Izjo Slowburn

‘Wait I don’t care about this i just want my dorky 6 year long izjo slowburn. but wait, this has lived in my head since 2015, is it even legible to anyone who would just be coming into it?’

~5 central plot fics, each with around 5 chapters at maybe 10k per chapter give or take. is roughly 250k total. even if i do publish this it’s going to take years

What else is there…………. Isabel is really good at offensive magic. She becomes quidditch team captain in their 5th year. Max hates flying on brooms.

Wizjos arc means so much to me.

Their friendship vaguely starts in 2nd year. theyre the quidditch beaters but work horribly together- they argue a lot and dont get along at all, it almost gets them kicked off the team. theyre forced into a situation that pairs them to work together sometime mid semester, and at the end of it they’re still… tense, but have a better understanding of each other? like ‘you annoy me but we had a moment that i would feel bad betraying. i think were more similar than i thought and i dont know how to feel about it yet’. Johnny develops his crush and it’s very strangled because he’s 12.

By 3rd year they’re more cooperative. Getting towards friendly. Theyre teammates AND housemates, so even though theyre in separate friend groups they spend a lot of time together. Still bickering but there’s slowly more and more fun behind it. Less ‘i’ll shove you off your broom’ and more ‘hey maybe if we do x we can shove x off their broom together’. Isabel begins having fun hanging out with johnny because he bites back. It’s stopped being annoying and become ‘oh hes just as conscious (whether he knows it or not) about his image as i am. it’s nice to put that down around someone. and also blast him with wizard lasers sometimes. and get blasted by wizard lasers.’

By 4th year they’re friends and Johnny’s still sitting with his feelings. It’s just a part of daily life. Wake up. Brush teeth. Shut Up Guerra (Hey Guerra). Lunch. Pick on a 2nd year. Meet up with Guerra before practice. Tell that one joke cause it always makes her laugh. Don’t make it obvious how you feel. Don’t let it slip how you feel. Don’t jeopardize this. Don’t do anything that’d make her feel weird. You’re her friend and he likes being her friend so it’s not a big deal. Isabel has slowly been getting more pressure from her grandpa, and every time shes stressed and cant go to her AC friends she goes to Johnny. So by 4th year they’re more or less best friends.

By 5th year they’re a capital T Team. Isabel’s gryffindor captain now and Johnny’s essentially her right hand. He’s there to hold new member tryouts with her, they study in the commonroom late at night, hes so gleeful about her uppity new position that he permanently cements calling her Captain into their teasing nicknames and Isabel hates it. In return Isabel makes him do extra laps, because she can do that now. And then Johnny gets in a non-serious accident and is in the infirmary for a week and suddenly Isabel is confronted with Oh. Oh I Don’t Like This. Oh This Is Bad. He’s fine he just gets like a concussion or something but Isabel doesn’t KNOW that right away and all of a sudden she’s faced with ‘i didnt realize how much of my life you’ve become and i miss you now that youre not there’ ‘…….why do i miss you now that youre not there.’ ‘we have a quidditch match coming up and i dont know if youll be healthy enough to play’ ‘i dont care about the game. id cancel in an instant if it means you wont have to play injured’ ‘………………why did i-’ etc. And afterwards Johnnys FINE but isabel is left with this weird hole in her gut and the reality that In That Situation That Was My Reaction And Those Were My Feelings. She’s confronted with the fact that somewhere along the line, Johnny became someone important to her. And that him getting hurt worried her. Because she cares about his wellbeing. Because she likes spending time with him. Because he’s her quidditch partner. Because she doesn’t think she could see herself playing with anyone else. Because she doesn’t think she’d want to play with anyone else. And then shes in trouble.

By 6th year is when things start kicking into gear. For starters the Triwizard Tournament because I can’t do a wizard au without some wizard deathsports. None of it is directly involved, that’s actually MAX’S B-plot, but a lot of what goes on because of it directly influences the wizjo A-plot.

Now we’re dealing with Johnnys time-tempered feelings that he’s accepted nothing would happen with but are still very alive, and ISABEL, who has JUST realized and has been stewing in her feelings all summer. With no outlet or real processing. Cant even go to johnny about it because well he Is johnny. He’s johnny and he gets under her skin and helps her with her transmutation homework and when she blasts him in dueling class he gets back up with a bigger grin than when she knocked him down. And she’s going to explode, she thinks.

And I’ve talked about this but when Headmaster Boss Leader (lmfao) says the forest is off limits during the tournament, of course they bet who can sneak out and last longer. And of course both friend groups scatter and get lost in the woods and of course who finds each other but. each other. and of course theyre both angry and worried about their friends and on guard bc theyre in the fucking forbidden forest at like 1am. Isabels ashamed that she didnt think more and johnnys grumpy and theyre so so blaming it on each other. Don’t deal with your feelings when you can express them through what you both know best: bickering and riling each other up to get the energy out. Isabels doing all this while trying Not to think about her crush. Johnnys long accepted his crush and that it’s not going to happen. So they are both very very surprised when Isabel kisses him mid argument, much to her horror. She apologizes and they get back to looking for their friends, who find them first. Later that night Isabel decides to apologize properly, because in her mind she let her emotions get out of control and seriously took advantage of him and she feels horrible about it. He’s someone she cares about, even though he probably doesn’t feel the same way, and it was wrong (She’s beating herself up and saying see? heres what happens if you let yourself have nice things. youd be lucky if he even speaks to you after what you did. you cant do this again.). Johnny however hears ‘that meant nothing to me i’m embarrassed and dont read into it’. Which is. Fine. He knew that. He’s known that. Hes big and scary and doesn’t let something like rejection get to him. Especially cause it wasn’t even rejection because she was never interested in the first place! Which he knows! So it doesn’t matter! And he can handle it really well! Yeah sure thing Guerra no big deal why’d she ever WANT to kiss him right theyre not like that! See her at practice ! they both walk away like Glad that was cleared up! [screaming]

This keeps happening. 6th year is when everything thats been boiling starts bubbling over.

isabel kisses johnny and everything gets wobbly. they’re trying to focus on their studies, and quidditch, and maintain that comfortable friendship theyve had since 3rd year, and not think about how nice it would be to try it just one more time. everyone, including the guest students from other schools that are here for the tournament, can see that theyve got something going on, even if they cant. johnny makes an excuse to drape his legs over isabels lap. isabel finds an excuse to grab johnnys wrist, or nudge him on the shoulder. they’re trying to deal with how things used to be and how they are now and how they want them to be and how they feel.

they ALMOST kiss again during wizard prom, which they don’t attend together. but they dont.

and then they have exams in spring. and isabels sooooo confident that she’ll knock out that stupid dog boggart just like she did third year. so she’s pretty shaken up when her grandpa shows up instead and says hes pulling her out of school early. shes too much trouble and hes through putting up with this time-wasting education, its time for her to quit being an embarrassment to him and finish learning the family magic. theres a lot more insults thrown in but thats the jist. and she goes running to the commonroom because not only did all that happen and she’s freaking out, but it happened and she freaked out in front of the entire class. and johnny goes after her because hes worried like crazy and they have a moment and he goes a bit overboard on the whole ‘if thats what your real grandpas like then i dont care who he is hes a jackass. cant he see what an annoyingly massive brain youve got on your shoulders or how youre cracked at strategy or’ and he does that for like 10 minutes while gently rubbing her back and isabel is having another crisis on top of her grandpa crisis. because what she tried so hard to kill is still very much alive. and hes being weirdly soft and comforting and she feels better with him here and its a lot to deal with. And she feels horrible and guilty and she doesn’t want him to stop.

Johnny is trying desperately to break tension and make sure she knows its bullshit. She’s HIS friend! Nobody talks like that about one of HIS friends and gets away with it! Even if it was a creature disguised as her grandpa and not actually her grandpa! SHE deserves to know that it’s not true and HES not gonna stand by it! But shes resisting and hes frustrated and there’s got to be SOMETHING thatll get through her head there’s got to be SOMETHING he can do to show her what he thinks but shes being DIFFICULT and hes BAD AT WORDSTHINKING and- oh okay thats a kiss. To get through her big smart wonderful dense skull. And it’s very soft and very determined to say ‘you’re wonderful. this is how wonderful i think you are. you dont need me to tell you it but please listen please please please if you need to hear it from someone else ill tell you. i dont really know how to in the way you deserve but youre worth learning’. All in front of the couch they spent hours on studying and planning matches on and napping and its warm and isabel is. well. Isabel Is In Trouble.

And then oh. Well. Um. Hello Maxwell. Who Came To Check On Us Because We Were Taking So Long .

frankly i’m still not sure how they sort that one out. johnny awkwardly excuses himself. and sometime before the school year ends they Actually Talk About It

By 7th year theyre together and very happy and very much the school menaces. Turns out avoiding your feelings gets you nowhere when instead you could face them and put your head together and cause all your separate rabblerousery with each other. And also hold hands with your best friend who you meet for breakfast and fall asleep on and spar against and get excited over the upcoming quidditch season with and kiss and sneak out to the astronomy tower with a blanket. isabel doesn’t want to take over franciscos legacy and johnnys like ‘i mean youve been pretty busy buildin your own, cap’. and she thinks. yeah. but itd be um. kind of empty with just me, dont you think?

Because she likes spending time with him. Because he’s her quidditch partner. Because she doesn’t think she could see herself playing with anyone else. Because she doesn’t think she could see herself wanting to play with anyone else. And then shes in trouble. Because neither does he.

She thinks the little rivlary between him and Richtofen is hilarious

Takeo Masaki

Elena and Takeo have a mutual respect for eachother!

They actually connected a lot after Takeo having to kill his Ultimis counterpart

She appreciates his absolute loyalty and dedication but honestly felt horrible knowing that loyalty was for the wrong person

She actually really wants to learn how to use a katana properly. She thinks its super cool and really wants to ask Takeo to mentor her but doesn't want to add any unnecassary stress and burden so she wants to wait till they have the have the proper time IF they ever do

Takeo and her often meditate when they arent being overthrown by the undead :)

Elena and Nikolai actually have a close emotional connection despite it being hard for Elena to make such connections

Elena didn't really like how much he was putting Richtofen down but she cant blame him for not being able to trust him

They often have a sibling bond being able to share certain interests and be there for eachother whether it be when one just needs to let out some emotion and talk or from a zombie sneaking up on the other, they got eachothers backs

They actually do become a thing in the canon story but in the modern au they get married and eventually have a family (WHICH IM GOING TO EVENTUALLY DRAW AHH)

But anywho! Yes! They have such a strong relationship thats heavy on trust

They've had quite similar upbringings so they're able to understand eachother and why they are the way they are, or atleast give some reason why

They're able to lean on eachother and trust eachother fully which both of them rarely had anyone like that in their lives so its really special having this type of relationship between them

Elena loves when Richtofen rambles and talks abt whatever is on his mind whether it be something silly or something hes concerned abt, she loves that hes able to feel comfortable and express himself to her she truly cherishes that

Elena also loves seeing him work and be in his own element, just seeing him be his intelligent self amazes her.

They comfort eachother through everything and anything, they both have different ways of comforting eachother but just them being able to be together is always enough

It’s Koi’s birthday today!

April 10th :) I have a special birthday piece for Koi so I hope you enjoy <3

Koi slowly and sluggishly got out of bed, threw on a large T-shirt and made his way into the kitchen, where Yingue was waiting for him. She had made coffee, and Koi could smell the mouthwatering shakshuka in the frying pan. He gave her a hug and she handed him a cup of coffee.

“Happy birthday, Koi,” she said lovingly, giving him a warm smile. “I hope you like the food, I tried my best but I’ve never cooked Egyptian food before - i had to get Fab’s advice…”

“It looks amazing,” Koi cut her off. He was so impressed by the effort Yingue had gone to, to make his favourite breakfast. “I’m so hungry!! Can we start eating?”

They sat down at the table and both dove into the shakshuka. Yingue had overheard Koi talking about how much he missed eating it back in Egypt, so she wanted to surprise him. After Koi’s third helping of the food, she gave him his birthday gifts: a fashionable new outfit, some sunglasses to match, and a new set of golden piercings to top it off.

Koi hugged Yingue again, she knew his fashion taste so well, and he couldn’t wait to try it on. But first, he walked over to his small balcony, and sure enough, Foshi and Dakota were opposite, on their balcony, finishing their breakfast out there like they did every morning.

Koi gave them a big, excited wave, but they both just nodded back at him before going back into their apartment. Disappointedly, Koi sauntered back into the kitchen, a confused look settling over his face. Koi expected that from Dakota, but not from Foshi. Did they forget it was his birthday? That was impossible - they couldn’t forget Koi’s birthday!

“Everything okay?” Yingue asked worriedly, concerned at why Koi looked so sullen all of a sudden.

“Uh… yeah? Dakota and Foshi were being strange but it’s probably just me.” Koi replied, still confused.

Koi pulled out his phone and tried to call Guido. It went to voicemail, so he tried again, and, to Koi’s relief, Guido answered the phone.

“Hellooo! Do you want to hang out today? I was thinking we could go out for drinks?” Koi asked enthusiastically - he always hung out with Guido on his birthday.

“Koi, I’m really busy with work today, and you know I only drink on special occasions - can we do it another day?” Guido replied dryly.

“But it is a special occasion!” Koi hinted, but he only heard a sigh from Guido in response.

“Look, I’m at work, I have too much to do - and it’s not even an important day. I’ll call you back later.” Guido promptly hung up before Koi could reply.

Koi forcefully put his phone down, heaving a loud sigh. How could everyone forget his birthday?

“This is so frustrating!! I cant keep this secret from Koi!” Foshi complained to Dakota. She was excited about the plan, but felt bad for Koi in making him believe everyone forgot about him.

“Don’t worry, Foshi. The party is at 6, you just have to get through this afternoon and help me set up. Anyway, it will be good for him to be humbled, even if its only for a few hours,” Dakota replied, he was annoyed to have to host the party at his apartment - Koi was always so messy, especially if he was drunk. But Foshi had insisted on hosting - she wanted to show Koi how much they appreciated him. They had arranged for Yingue to keep Koi distracted until the party, so they could get the apartment ready.

“Koi, try to calm down. Maybe they forgot because they’ve all had stressful weeks at work, you have too. Let’s take your mind off it.” Yingue suggested to a very miserable Koi, who felt extremely abandoned - but he was grateful for Yingue, she would never forget something so important to Koi.

Koi hadn’t even received any birthday messages - he felt so forgotten. Koi loved his birthday - it was the one day a year where people had to pay attention to him. Koi, being the youngest of 5 kids, was usually shunned to the side, so he always looked forward to his birthday, it made him feel appreciated. But for all his friends to forget?! Koi felt like a child again, overlooked and the lowest priority.

Yingue could tell Koi was devastated, but she couldn’t tell him anything - it would be worth it for the look on his face this evening.

“Let’s go out and watch a movie! How about the new John Wick film? You’ve been waiting ages for that,” she proposed, hoping he wouldn’t ask too many questions - in order to not ruin the surprise.

Koi sighed again, “Sure. Thank you for remembering, Yingue”

Koi and Yingue happily left the theatre - the film was very entertaining, and they made their way to a shawarma restaurant for lunch - another one of Koi’s favourite foods. Koi was wearing his new outfit, and he looked stunning. The clothes fit his body shape perfectly, and the jewellery complimented his skin tone beautifully.

They sat down for lunch, and Koi checked his phone again. Still nothing.

“What if none of them really like me?” Koi wondered out loud, expressing his concern to Yingue.

“Why would you think that?” She replied, if she let him do the talking, she would be less likely to spoil the surprise.

“It’s just… Dakota’s always hated me, and what if the others actually start to agree with him? I get it, I can be annoying, and maybe rude, too. But maybe this is their way of cutting me off? What’s worse, they don’t even know about my old job in Argentina… but maybe they found out?? And now they hate me?!” Koi leaned back in his chair, he looked genuinely heartbroken. Yingue’s heart dropped to see Koi feel like this.

“Koi. Your friends appreciate you so much! I’m sure there’s a reasonable explanation for this, give them a chance,” she comforted, her eyes soft and endearing as they met Koi’s.

“You’re right,” he smiled back at her, “let’s just enjoy our food. And you can appreciate how AMAZING I look in these sunglasses!” Koi put his sunglasses on and showed them off, pulling stupid faces at Yingue.

They spent the rest of the afternoon shopping and walking through the city - it was a peaceful time, even if the city was extremely busy. Koi thrived in cities, so he felt like he was at home, finally.

Just before 6pm, Yingue took Koi’s hand and led him back towards their apartment.

Koi got suspicious when they entered Foshi’s building and not their own.

“Let’s just say hello to them, maybe they’ll remember when they see you!” Yingue lied, excited with the anticipation of seeing Koi’s face when he noticed the surprise.

“Ughh, fine. But let’s be quick - it’s embarrassing for me that they don’t remember,” koi groaned as they got to Foshi’s door.

Koi opened it quickly - Foshi usually left the door unlocked during the day. The lights were off, so Koi turned around to leave, but Yingue motioned him further inside. Koi wandered through the apartment and went into the living room. He flicked the lights on and….

“SURPRISE!!!” everyone yelled, Koi was taken aback.

The whole gang was in the living room, holding party poppers and the entire room was decorated with birthday banners and balloons. Everyone wore a party hat, even Dakota, who was clearly forced into it by Foshi, who was at the front, grinning and laughing at Koi’s bewildered face. Suzie threw balloons at him, and Guido was helping her. Fab was covering his ears from the commotion, but he still smiled enthusiastically at Koi.

Koi stood there in shock, before a large smile covered his face and he shouted in excitement. He hugged everyone, and then he hugged Yingue, who was so happy to finally reveal the secret. Koi felt like he could cry, he was so amazed that his friends arranged this just for him, and he couldn’t be more grateful for them all.

The party went on for hours, all of them drinking and laughing, and playing ridiculous party games.

“I almost forgot!! You need to open your presents!” Foshi jumped up from her seat, and ran to get a few small boxes, and an envelope.

Koi opened the boxes first - they consisted of figurines of his favourite action characters, eyeliner and some Egyptian trinkets. Koi thanked them all eagerly, before moving onto the envelope.

When he opened it, he froze, and the gang all watched as tears welled in his eyes. Guido spoke up: “we all contributed some money to buy you the tickets. We know how much you wanted to go back to Egypt, and since Sham El-Nassim is coming up, we thought you’d want to celebrate it back home.”

Koi couldn’t believe his eyes. He had been short of money for a while, and was devastated when he realised he couldn’t get to Egypt for Sham El-Nassim. He couldn’t believe his friends had given him plane tickets to go back. He was allowed to take one other person with him. Koi decided to take Guido. He apologised to Yingue, who was perfectly fine with it. It had been Koi’s dream to take Ciro and Guido to Egypt, but since Ciro couldn’t go, Koi still wanted to take Guido and fulfill the promise they had made to each other all those years ago.

Koi thanked his friends endlessly, and they all got back to partying, singing drunk karaoke and listening to Koi’s favourite songs.

It was the best birthday ever, Koi hoped nothing ever changed. He loved them all so much.

Even though he’s not real I am grateful I created him because I don’t know, but I’m sure you all get how important OCs can be. * Sham El-Nassim is an Egyptian national holiday which celebrates the arrival of spring, it dates back to around 2700 BC, so before Christianity and Islam. Koi loves to celebrate Sham El-Nassim and it’s one of his favourite holidays :) :p

Dear Ahmad,

Its taken me a long time to decide whether I should respond to anything you’ve said. In truth, i know my silence was louder and that’s why I didnt say anything. At first, however, i thought that night that i should just give it time. Then literally the next morning, less than 12 hrs from when it happened, you decide to cut me off? Because what? You’re overstimulated? You’re stressed? I didn’t even get enough time to process what happened. You cant force anyone to work on your schedule. Then you message again asking if we’re ever going to talk about it like you didnt just end the friendship? Like i was nothing? Just completely hurt me again and again. And you’re right, there is some responsibility of my own to that, and that is to stop letting you treat me this way. It’s not okay. You constantly treat me so ugly when ive done nothing but love you authentically and purely. I’m not your scapegoat. You dont just lash out on me to feel better. Being your friend doesnt give you a pass to treat me like shit. And instead of apologizing, change your behavior because it’s happened multiple times. Oh and my apologies that apparently mean less because i do it so often? It’s because you’re unpredictable and you lash out at me. The apologies happen because I’m trying to not step on your toes and upset you. And it only happens with you. Because I don’t feel safe with you. Its why i couldn’t climax with you. My body doesn’t feel safe.

I loved you so fucking much for you to break me this way. I don’t understand why. Like honestly why. The first night i was next to you, you were upset I wasn’t kissing you with passion. And how tf are you going to tell me that you were feeling something with me and then youre over there in love with her? Make it make sense. You never felt anything. Just lust. You didn’t care about me or how i felt. All i did for you genuinely out of love, it was to your benefit and my expense.

I hope you hear the loudness of the void where my presence used to be. And i hope you consume yourself in it and reflect that you fucked up deeply because you lost the best damn thing that happened to you. A love that cuts deeper than a knife, it was too good to be true. I am disgusted that I let someone like you touch me this way. You’re narcissistic, manipulative and a liar. You said i wasnt in your cycle and its all bullshit, because i wasnt the only girl you reeled in, fucked and then tried to be friends with like nothing happened. You keep these women around for your convenience and congratulations, because it’s so fucking believable that you care. Looking at me, kissing me, touching me the way you did. I really believed you loved me in some way. But how fucking stupid do you think i am? You lost me. But its okay because you didnt truly care about me, you cared what I provided for you, which was a safe space for you. And you took advantage of that by thinking it was okay to lash out at me, even when it wasnt i who you were mad at. Oh and the fun part? When i actually had problems? Its was nice to hear you just throw it back in my face. I truly appreciate it.

I knew you deeper than you knew yourself and i knew you were afraid of me because youve never experienced someone like me. Your eyes cant lie. I see through you. And that’s what scares you. You didn’t know the impact i was making on you until it was taken right under you. You took me for granted, thought I was going to be there for you at your beck and call. No, sir. I’m much more clever than that. And im worth so much more than that.

Youve taken enough of me. Youve hurt me enough and because of it all, you lost me. And i will be the one that got away. And youll try to get over me, ask yourself who tf I am. And that’s when youll realize I am the woman who loved you more than anyone else. It must be really embarrassing to be you right now. I can only imagine how stupid you feel. But that sounds like a YOU problem. I hope you heal from your bullshit and not rationalize your actions. Bon journée, mon chéri.
