i am thinking about.if i want to post some of my school work on here or not..,giant ramble in tags feel free to skip
#hhahaha sheridan animation ::::)))#so far its been like.ill put more effort and energy into like half of the assignments weve had#whats making me hesitate mostly tho is that.for pretty much all of them ive done basically just enough to meet the criteria#like im not doing especially bad ik but ive been doing very sturdy technical things and not caring that much for presentation and design#and like i see ppl doing cleanup and full coloured layouts and i?dont understand how they have the energy#and i have my personal instagram and discord and things where i am mutuals w a lot of classmates a#and im generally pretty like.yay about sharing work there bc ppl have the same work and understand whatever random thing it is#especially since im just first yr its basic things like model sheets and walk cycles and lip syncs and generally just basic technical skill#but since rn our schoolwork is heavily focused on basics#i feel like i dont yet have enough.practical knowledge? to expand on assignment work more than needed or do any rlly ambitious personal art#which is also like.i dont have the energy or motivation to spend the extra time#so to come back to what i was saying.my work done for school in the past few months have been very barebones in terms of.final appearance#so its not so much pretty and eyecatching things so im thinking that for people not that interested in animation things it wont be as#understandable yknow what i mean#the thing tho is that i do feel like ive learned and improved a lot.but very little polished finished things to show it#like definitely graphic design is not my passion but i love inbetweening and posing.my life is nothing but hardship and anguish

#ill admit the gig career of church musician wasnt what i thought id be doing at this point in my life#but im glad to be gigging at the churches that i am bc there has been a surprising amount of support from everyone i work with#which i wouldnt have anticipated from the catholic and episcopal establishments#tho i never talk w the catholic parishioners 😅 so idk how they would take it. but the music staff is all very nice#and everyone at the episcopal church- music staff and congregation members alike- are all very respectful and kind#sometimes they mess up but genuinely i care about some of these old people so much and i know theres a genuine mutual care and respect#that it never bothers me anyways.#for someone who isnt religious at all. working at the church really has been a warm community of people.#all gripes aside bahaha#bas.txt#idk its also lovely that the episcopal church has been so flexible w it bc theyd already known me for a year when i changed my name socially#but i do think having leadership that is very openly embracing me and adjusting their language when speaking to the ensemble has#a significant impact on the mentality of the group as a whole#i didnt anticipate these tags being so rambly 🧍♂️🧍♂️🧍♂️#could have just made this a whole ass text post. oh well 🧍♂️

truth be told my thoughts on gamzee are....... complicated. I am very glad u asked this actually because I love rambling about The Hyperfixation :D
I hate gamzee but I love gamzee but I hate him. his character is fundamentally tragic to me and he makes me so so sad but also I think he was really poorly written. we're given so much conflicting information in the comic abt his characterization, like Hussie suggesting that he's being manipulated/possessed but then in the next sentence going like "he's ACTUALLY always been evil and fucked up" and it drives me up the wall!!!! Gamzee has excellent potential in my eyes but I feel like it wasn't really. utilized.
also DONT GET ME STARTED ON THE RACISM goooodd. if u didn't know this already Gamzee uses AAVE and is a coded to be a negative black stereotype. like hes angry and violent has an absent father & does drugs and genuinely it's so. awful. and unnecessary.
I hate him for his writing I love him for his potential. just basically he's been done so dirty in the comic and ESPECIALLY in the epilogues :( let him be a silly goofy guy!!!! justice for my boy!!!!! I guess my final answer is that he deserves better.
