"I don’t know who you think you are, but let me tell you who I am: I am the granddaughter of a hero and a child of a villain. I am a citizen of a fallen Kingdom and an heir to nothing. I will not be defined by my name because I will be the one to define it!"
Yeah because I’ve seen actual people in this fandom think Keegan could join TF 141, think Riley is Ghost’s dog and not Hesh’s dog, think König is in the campaigns, and think Simon Riley used to be a part of Ghosts. All while claiming they’re Call of Duty fans without blinking an eye. Mind you, half the characters I mentioned don’t exist within the same universe.
Like, yes I am: you guys don’t know anything about the source material.
Sometimes, gatekeeping is good. It keeps y’all in check.
Brennan is hinting pretty heavily that Lucy Frostblade was attempting to transfer to worshipping Bakur, but my immediate thought was that she was transferring to worship Cassandra, cause how fucking crazy would that be.
If thrawn thought Ahsoka coming after him was a problem bc she was Anakin's apprentice, wait till he finds out about Luke and Leia being Anakin's literal children and the reasons for the Empire's demise
bit of a niigo rin redesign (hairstyle by bestie @suyamashouji)
more notes under the cut
the mafuena heterochromia part was my contribution. basically i had a thought that the niigoloids were the representations of the relationship/conflict between each of the main four members of n25. therefore, each of the vocaloids should get eye colors from the members whose dynamic they personify.
miku: her personality, externally stoic and solitary while internally kind and seeking companionship, to me represents a combination of kanade's gentle kindness and desire to turn emotion into action with her music (to "save people") plus mafuyu's default deadpan and desire to find her true feelings through her relationships with others (to "name that warm feeling").
rin: she's curt and blunt, but means well with her words and doesn't reject people's companionship even if she can't bring herself to just ask for it. to me, those are all traits that mafuyu and ena share, and their desires to "be seen/recognized" by others are essentially the same. ena's influence is probably a little stronger in the directness of rin's personality, which is the difference between her and meiko.
meiko: her aloof nature and deliberate rejection of companionship out of a misguided sense of "not wanting to mess things up" definitely is rooted more in mizuki's struggles than ena's. however, the fact that she doesn't try to pretend she's not being distant is a lot more emotionally honest than mizuki would be; that part of meiko's personality is ena's trademark "why don't you just say what you feel" stance.
you'll notice luka and len aren't assigned yet, even though they've appeared in empty sekai already. that's because i didn't want to assign the vocaloids based necessarily on when they debuted/who was in their featured banner. for now, i wanna wait until i've read more event stories and when kaito appears in a month before i try to assign the other three.
