From Alpharius: Head of the Hydra - Alpharius explains the “I am Alpharius” thing and gets snarky about Horus Aximand.
**
“My name is not special. It is not some unique, valuable commodity, to be hoarded: we are not the Luna Wolves, where Horus Aximand must be known as ‘Little Horus’ to ensure that his position below Horus Lupercal is known to all. My name can be used by any of my Legion. An Alpha Legionnaire calling themselves ‘Alpharius’ means one thing, and one thing only:
‘My identity is unimportant. Only my function matters.’”

The unseen
The unsung
The pair of kill teams assigned to the 5th harrow. Both extremely deadly in their own ways. Both extremely effective at what they do.
(If this post gets a lot of likes I’ll do a series of pictures with all their name plates on)

"Well, so much for the 'great' Warlord Skorandis Cravenbound."
"I am Alpharius."
"What do you mean it's my fault it happened?"
"I am Alpharius."
"The fact he attacked a Hive City and they so managed to get a warning message off before their choir was massacred, and there was a contingent of loyalists only three systems away had nothing to do with me."
"I am Alpharius."
"Skorandis just should've minded his own words a while back. That's all I'm saying. So what should we do next?"
"I am Alpharius."
"Oh no, I'm not going to paint myself Black and White and call myself Adelbert or Reinhart again. Those guys give me the creeps."
"I am Alpharius."
"Yes I'm aware of the irony! Bah, I'm sure the Red Corsairs are looking for more people."
****
If you thought I painted one of them as an Alpha Legion just so I could make him talk like Groot you are very much correct.
Not much else to say, it's the marines from Blackstone Fortress I got a couple of years back and decided to get done so I can clear out my "Xenos & Heretics" backlog box.
The Nightlord got a weapon swap just distinguish himself from his buddy, and then Alpharius got a helmet swap for the same reason as I had some Chaos Marine bits lying around.
Was also a great excuse to use the Night Lord transfers I bought for this same reason.

“Behind every great leader, there is a company sized unit of legionnaires engaging in hidden activities without said leaders consent, or knowledge and no records of such activities or even the existence of such a force exist to corroborate any potential engagements with the legionnaires.”
-Alpharius, Primarch of the Alpha Legion
