Your point about the silence on social media from his team is so interesting. Harry L posted it today, but with no commentary, just listing who worked on it (which I would assume is standard in today’s social media/PR game) but I don’t believe anyone else has posted. The Rolling Stone post was tagged with the official DWD and WB instagrams, not HSHQ or Harry. Who and what this article was promoting is very clear.

Because I have a lot of time on my hands I decided to do some research into the word count of certain things in the article. Here’s what I found:

Article: 5,690 words

Harry Quotes: 1,401 words 24%

Parts talking about OW or DWD: 951 words 16%

Harry actually saying her name or directly referencing DWD: 0 0%

Which means that 60% of the article was observation and interpretation. A lot of the quotes from Harry are one sentence that are framed around a paragraph of subjective context.

“Interview” is a very loose term when the person being interviewed accounts for less than a quarter of the words. “Cover story” is more accurate and the fact that so much of it is dedicated to OW’s story she’s telling herself about how great this film is going to be bleeds more into “advertorial” since it’s one big ad for some story that no one’s buying.

I mean I get OW has to talk about it since no one else will aside from posting bare minimum IG reels of the trailer. I checked another stat to compare him talking about My Policeman and that was 116 words, so 8% of what he talked about was that film which is 8% more than he spoke directly about her or DWD.

In no way am I trying to make it seem like Brittany Spanos was trying to create a story about herself, in fact I would imagine this would’ve been a frustrating piece to write and that she would’ve happily filled the pages with nothing but him talking. However (and this is purely speculation) there seems to have been a very clear objective from a PR standpoint and that was to push his relationship and DWD. Which sucks I’m sure as a self proclaimed long time 1D and Harry fan. I know if I were in her place I’d want to paint a bigger picture of Harry and his music and not waste space quoting someone who’s putting words into his mouth. But maybe that’s just me.

thank you eve, evy and j for maintaining hshq for so many years. words cannot express how thankful, grateful and appreciative we are! couldn’t have imagined better admins and couldn’t have imagined better friends. to the members, i’ve never seen such dedicated writers before and have never seen this level of characterization and plot development. yes, this is just roleplay, but it’s still a hobby and through this hobby i had the pleasure of reading many great stories and meeting such great people. for many of us, roleplaying is a shared secret we have. we wouldn’t really dare to tell our real life friends about this aspect of our lives and i think that created an unspoken bond between us. and because of the unspoken bond, i think it hurts that much more that this will be the last time we will really talk to each other or be this present on the dash again. many of you, including myself, have been here during major transitional moments in our personal lives — but what remained a constant for us was hshq. these silly little plots created great distractions for us and allowed us to have a creative release through talking about our muses, the tasks, the threads and the edits. we created our own fictional world which could respectfully be a show and a series in itself. we have all challenged each other, learned from each other and we’ve all grown quite fond of each other. now that it’s time to officially say goodbye, it’s becoming harder to let this go. i wish nothing but the best for everyone. i hope you excel or continue excelling in life. you will all be greatly missed and i can’t thank you guys enough for everything.  with love, serre

Jokes aside, do you really think their teams cooperate? They don’t seem to follow a joint plan

Yeah I do. I think covid fucked up a lot of their plans but their very first set of tour dates lined up scarily well to have them take breaks around the same time. And there’s been a history of LTHQ and HSHQ or Louis and Harry tweeting within minutes of each other. So it’s very possible at least one of their social media managers is shared.

And even though I made it into a joke the way the push and pull of “Harry does something stunty and then Louis goes on a free for all stunt free q&a” isn’t just isolated to yesterday. It can be a coincidence except we have 10 years of this consistently happening. It’s a pattern.

And this isn’t even touching the fact that only Louis and Harry have LTHQ and HSHQ (a play off of fandom calling it 1DHQ) which were made within I think a week of each other? While Zayn, Liam, and Niall haven’t referred to their management as that, even though Zayn does have an official update account iirc.

So while in this immediate moment the coordination doesn’t look as clear there have been a lot of signs that their teams talk because you HAVE to talk with your client’s significant others management to properly do your job.

do you think it’s possible that we get Holivia at all, apart from the director / actor roles? I don’t see them walking the red carpet together? I also don’t really seen them being spotted having ice cream or anything. I pray we won’t see him other than being professional at the bare minimum official outings, but we obviously don’t know what he can get out of or what even is negotiable at this point or what HSHQ already negotiated? Her missing from the shows was good already. But yeah who knows😓

If they know what's good for them and Harry in particular, then they'll stay entirely professional. Harry with Flo on the carpet, then Gemma and Chris for the rest. Olivia to the side and with the group for pics.

Putting their "personal relationship" on such a big platform would be the same as H siding with Olivia and everything she's said and shown herself to be, and that would be extremely detrimental to his image - more so than how much it's already hurt him.

They don't have time for ice cream. He's there to do press for a movie, pose for paps and press, answer movie-related questions, then immediately fly back to NY and get on stage again.

If they really knew what's good for them and Harry, then they'd end the stunt and announce after the movie drops at the end of this month. He needs to leave this PR fiasco asap, bc it's gonna get MUCH worse once the film is shown to critics and later the public. And worse yet when Olivia inevitably says one of her idiotic women-vaginal power-sex-feminist-pussy-oral sex-environmentalist-spread your legs for empowerment - shallow cheap ass fake feminist slogans.

I don’t think he/his team thinks he needs an image rehab otherwise we would never have gotten fishkiss in Japan or Oliv** tattoo purposefully showed off for the paps. They are desperate and want his name to stay relevant, he wasn’t even properly mia for a week or two since the tour ended. I think they really want to make this relationship look more believable. They didn’t get paped yet (only in the aftershow but tabloids say how private it was 🙄) Every time he saw JC they were papped, I think it was done on purpose to show on the contrast how much H cares about his new relationships and cherishes their privacy; plus every time someone asks for a photo (and he is with TR) he refuses, but he is ok with it if he is alone or with JC. And it works cause I saw so many hetharries in awe saying how protective H is of his gf. I fully expect them to be on the red carpet together to officially launch their relationships and fishkiss after the show somewhere in the streets of Paris cause that what HSTM does nowadays. And probably in November we’ll get BV couple shoot.

I think people believe this is low key because holivia was so in our face at all times. It's low key in comparison to that, but still not really low key. They are out in public, in places that they know they'll be recognised. The sightings and daily mail articles are too frequent and not spaced out for that. It's too rushed to be low key. Maybe they are rushing it to launch it as a serious relationship at paris fashion week as you suggest, idk.

Yeah, he's staying relevant, but at what cost. If your target audience is tired of you, embarrased on your behalf or not really buying what you are selling (stunt or brand deals) at some point you should take a break or change strategy. Save your energy for when you have something to promote that you really need people buying. Like an album or concert tickets. Make people miss you and get their enthusiastiasm back. Or show us your good side to make people remember why they're a fan.

It makes sense for him to keep the house because everyone knows about it. If he officially “moved” there would be press and fans looking to try and find his “new place”. It’s a decoy as well as being a workspace/a physical HSHQ if you like. I do however hope he doesn’t spend any time there alone.

That makes sense on one hand. But because he does spend time there, he now has to have a full-time security (even when he's not there). It just seems dangerous. Anyway, he can take care of himself. It just is weird to me.
