alternative to the cursed child plotline:

Scorpius, Albus and Rose fight eldritch horrors that muggles inadvertently brought to life.

and it starts as like some dumb dumb that just wanted to mess with magic and ended up going mad

and then they find out that like shitty wizards were trying to corrupt muggles into mad creatures that they could either control or unleash on the wizarding world

insert Albus having to combat his negative self image to combat becoming draw into dark magic shit

Scorpius having to restrain himself from becoming inveloped in universal knowledge and rurning mad

and Rose having to learn the difference between being brave for the sake of it and brav for the right cause

includes but not restricted to Slytherins being cunning af. Utilising connection, privlages, politics and using not so moral spells and potions to get there way. Albus and Scorpius being gay; Albus and Scorpius trying to keep eachother sane. Rose also being gay and falling for a muggle that didn't know she was a witch/squib and them finding out that actually having a lower level of magic can still be quite powerful if used sparingly

but also including emotional blow outs and them being teens that still haven't figured out how to control their magic. and Albus being very powerful but needing to overcome his insecurites and anxieties in order to hone his skills. insert his family (scorp included) offering the hard but healthy way and the villan (possibly dephi minus uknowho) a quick and dangerous, darker option. That Al will take but only for a short time until he sorts his shit out

also featuring Draco's extended collection of weird shit hes collected and being way to excited to help his son out on his adventures

Cthulhu inhabiting fish monsters just to fuck with Scorpius, who is absolutely disgusted by everything sea related. Beasts for Albus and birds for Rose

Request : I saw Cursed Child in London last night and my lil heart nEEDS Scorpius fan fiction because he’s just so precious and sweet 😫 could I possibly request a fic where the reader is a hufflepuff, friends with Albus and Scorpius and she comforts Scorpius when Albus is shunning him?? A/N : Oh wow!!! I am so jealous - that means you saw Joe Idris Roberts and Jonathan Case right?? I LOVE!! okay so I haven’t seen jonathan’s portrayal but I did this the best I could and I totally understand the feels so I wrote this as quickly as possible and I hope it reaches you in time!! I thought this was so cute and the beginning is a little angsty but I promise the rest is pure fluff!! xx

The staircase hums beneath your feet as it moves upwards into the air, gliding and swiveling. You walk further and further up the steps, stopping only when you see him. When you see Scorpius.

His head is held in his hands, his knees curled up to his chest. And you can see him shaking, you can see him trembling. You have only seen him like this once before. The night his mother died.

He seems to sense someone standing before him, and his head snaps up. It is a quick jarring motion, one that suggests he is merely a puppet being controlled by unseen forces above a stage curtain. And as soon as he sees you, recognition washing away the grief in his eyes, his head lolls back down, the string slacking.

There are tears in his eyes. His lashes are wet with translucent glassy drops with pupils that are hazy like the sky on a foggy mid-morning. You can feel the pain that is bottling inside him and splintering at his ribs, taking a toll on his fragile heart.

You don’t say anything, you simply sit besides him. Your arm comes up to wrap around his shoulders, your hand rubbing comfortingly up and down his back.

For a while he doesn’t move. He simply stays curled up, his head in his hands, his body trembling quietly.

Three,

two,

one.

And like glass, he breaks. He shatters. He leans into you, his head falling onto your shoulder. You can feel him crying, his tears sopping into the wool of your sweater.

“I don’t know what I did.” His voice is small, soft in hysterics.

You can feel your own heart stretching and pulling, and it hurts. Your arms are wrapping around him fully now, squeezing him tightly. “It’s not you. You did nothing wrong. Nothing, Scorpius.” You shut your eyes, biting your lip. “It’s not your fault.”

He is nodding now, still trembling. The tears have stopped, but he is still shaking.

It is a while before he begins to still. “Thank you,” he says at last, tilting his head to look up at you.

The next day, the two of you are walking through the castle. You are in the middle of explaining how your cat is now the color pink, when Scorpius freezes, his eyes widening with hope.

Albus is standing across from the two of you, his own eyes reflecting Scorpius’ expression. Albus steps forward, his mouth opening as if he wants to say something, but he stops. His mouth closes, he drops his eyes and his shoulders sag. He wheels and turns the other way, practically running from the two of you.

Scorpius is still staring at where Albus has stood, his eyes beginning to wrinkle in hurt. His back is stiffening, you watch as his jaw begins to clench. And then all the tension leaves his body in a loud sigh, and he brings a hand to run through his hair. “This is the worst,” he says, crestfallen.

You look at him with a pained grimace. “I know, but it’s not Albus.” You reach for his hand and squeeze it once. “Albus wouldn’t do this to us.”

Scorpius looks up at you quickly, his eyes wide. “So - it’s Albus, but it’s not Albus.”

You nod. “Right.” You pursue your lips, tilting your head to the side. “It’s like, it’s like he’s under the imperious curse. You know. Like he’s being controlled!”

Scorpius seems to cheer up a little, yet you can still see an unresolved look in his eyes. “Well,” he shuffles in his stance, looking up at you shyly, “even if Albus isn’t, I’m just glad you’re with me.”

You suddenly realize you are still grasping his hand. You relax your grip, but he is still holding on.

“Thank you, for that.” He is rambling, his voice soft and melodic in you ears. “I know you’re Albus’ friend too, so thank you for staying with me. It means, it means a lot. Really!”

This last part is said so earnestly it is like the two of you have suddenly flipped roles.

You blush, looking down at your feet. “I’m always going to be your friend, Scorpius.” You finally allow your gaze to travel up to meet his. “Always, you hear me?”

He smiles now, he smiles so largely that his eyes wrinkle and he is grinning and it is so infectious that you find yourself smiling as well.

“Okay,” he swings his hand, the one that is holding onto yours. And he pulls you back into conversation, suddenly expressing keen interest into how exactly you managed to turn your cat pink.

And as the two of you are talking, you are fondly aware of the warmth that is wrapped around your fingertips. You aren’t sure if he’s forgotten, or if he perhaps maybe likes you, but you don’t say anything, and neither does he, and you smile, simply enjoying the gesture that sends butterflies tumbling around and around in your heart.
