Translators Note: Gonna have to explain about the "Michael/Mikaela/Michaela" fuckery earlier in the script. If you've read the Michaela Light Novel, then you know that there's a type of human called "Michaela" with some kind of special Michaela trait. So far people who have been called a Michaela are Hyakuya Mikaela (by Ferid), Ferid Bathory (by Saitou), Crowley Eusford (by Ferid). It's also the NAME OF AN ANGEL from the Michaela LN prologue. :) The (fallen) angel Michaela that is related to how vampires came to being. When I transliterated Michael and Mikaela, it seemed those romaji are more specific given names for people and it alludes to Mika's given name. It's impossible to know their English romanization until the official Viz version since they're ミカエル (which can be Michael, Mikael, Mickael) and ミカエラ (Mikaela - Mika's given name or Michaela, the type of person with the special trait). The Japanese obfuscates the true spelling but it also creates the double meaning. There are 2 ways you can read it: 1) Michael and Mikaela: connecting to the previous sentence of there being an angel-like name, Ferid is asking Mika to think about who gave him the MIKAELA name, which is a derivative of Michaela and Michael, which are angel names. 2) Michael and Michaela: If it's Michaela, then the question is more general and broad, asking who gave Michaela this name? This would be alluding to God and the angel Michaela. This would thematically connect with Michael too because that's also an angel's name. Ferid definitely wants Mika to think about who named him. All roads lead to the (fallen) angel Michaela anyway. :D Now when Ferid is talking about ミカエラ in his story about himself, he's thinking about Michaela that Saitou used to call him. So I went with the specific particle of "the Michaela". - The other significant line from this chapter is "a different King of Salt will be born" FFFFFU Is this why there are people with the Seraph gene???????? Was the 6th Trumpeter originally a human who turned into the angel on Christmas Day to punish humanity??? Is that what it means that the 7 Trumpeters are hidden in humans and only activated if the Seraph of the End ritual is activated?
