Have you ever asked yourself what a book for tourist traveling to Westeros would look like ? Well, my intrusive thoughts and lack of sleep helped me come up with this idea. It's just the first part of 9 I'll do one for each region of the land of Westeros, but I already have plan to do it to the region's of Westeros too. I based myself not just on the cultures of the real world but also Westeros, and what they would look like in a modern setting, so yeah enjoy my crazy shit because I sure did when I woke up today and decided to do this.
NORTH. VALE. RIVERLANDS. WESTERLANDS. REACH. CROWNLANDS. DORNE. IRON ISLANDS.

Years after meeting the Demigoddess and trying and failing to find her, the Targaryen siblings hear word that their beloved has been taken by the wretched Harren the Black and is now trapped in Harrenhal against her will.
Aegon was already getting ready to mobilize his forces to rescue the demigoddess when the letter from the Storm King arrived, He offered Aegon lands and the hand of his own daughter if Aegon would help him fight against House Hoare and also to help the Durrandons reclaim the goddess that had once been theirs for a time.
Aegon, of course, rejects this proposal. He makes a counteroffer of agreeing to help him in a future war against Harren on the condition the goddess comes to stay with them in Dragonstone and also offers his half-brother's hand to Princess Argella instead.
Argilac also rejects Aegon's proposal and cuts off the hands of the envoy who delivered the message and sent them straight back to the Targaryens.
Thus Aegon is given the final push to begin his conquest...
Ok, instead, let's try to use this idea with the previous one (Aegon and his family took the reader when she was seeking sea shells)
Imagine that after he took the poor girl. the tremendous chaos that the seas are causing made the other houses alerted of what could have happened.
->
This happened before, everyone knew what could have happened when this catastrophic event started.
The little goddess was once again out of waters and someone took her, now her father was mad.
Many stories about the girl were told, how many men fought for her and how powerful she could make someone.
One of the people who heard about the tales was Harren Hoare, whose family was devoted to the Drowned god. But he didn't cared for those beliefs, she belonged to him, to his house.
So when Aegon and his sister were distracted, Harren sent men to take the girl away. The discovery of her (2nd) kidnapping made Aegon even more furious.
Argilac Durrandon, in fear of Harren and being descendant of the Last house to possess the goddess, tried to make a deal with Aegon, but the valyrian refused to give his darling away.
He would have to find a way to destroy Harren and take the girl back unharmed.
While this was happening, the Ironborn screamed at the God's fury, lands were consumed by seas and storms.
As the Storm God decided to join their party.

New Legendary Ladies of The World of Ice & Fire series. First, Elenei :
"The songs said that Storm’s End had been raised in ancient days by Durran, the first Storm King, who had won the love of the fair Elenei, daughter of the sea god and the goddess of the wind. On the night of their wedding, Elenei had yielded her maidenhood to a mortal’s love and thus doomed herself to a mortal’s death, and her grieving parents had unleashed their wrath and sent the winds and waters to batter down Durran’s hold. His friends and brothers and wedding guests were crushed beneath collapsing walls or blown out to sea, but Elenei sheltered Durran within her arms so he took no harm, and when the dawn came at last he declared war upon the gods and vowed to rebuild."
Tumblr media
"Five more castles he built, each larger and stronger than the last, only to see them smashed asunder when the gale winds came howling up Shipbreaker Bay, driving great walls of water before them. His lords pleaded with him to build inland; his priests told him he must placate the gods by giving Elenei back to the sea; even his smallfolk begged him to relent. Durran would have none of it. A seventh castle he raised, most massive of all. Some said the children of the forest helped him build it, shaping the stones with magic; others claimed that a small boy told him what he must do, a boy who would grow to be Bran the Builder. No matter how the tale was told, the end was the same. Though the angry gods threw storm after storm against it, the seventh castle stood defiant, and Durran Godsgrief and fair Elenei dwelt there together until the end of their days."

Posthumous Characters GIF Sets → Argilac “the Arrogant” Durrandon
King Argilac, last of the Durrandon, had arrested this decline for a time, turning back a Dornish invasion whilst still a boy, crossing the narrow sea to join the great alliance against the imperialist “tigers” of Volantis, and slaying Garse VII Gardener, King of the Reach, in the Battle of Summerfield twenty years later. But Argilac had grown older; his famous mane of black hair had gone grey, and his prowess at arms had faded.

Hidden History of the Stormlands: Lost Letter XLIX
Letter #73: When the Pauper’s Plot was foiled by an Andali spy within the ranks of the conspirators, Ormund II gave his word that the women of the Weeping Town could leave unmolested with whatever they carried on their backs. To the Storm King’s amusement, the women walked out the town gates carrying their men on their shoulders. Nonetheless, Ormund II did not go back on his word (though his army did strip every manor and guildhall within the town walls of its finery).

HOUSE BARATHEON
The youngest of the Great Houses, born during the Wars of Conquest.
Its founder, Orys Baratheon, was rumored to be Aegon the Dragon’s bastard brother. Orys rose through the ranks to become one of Aegon’s fiercest commanders.
When he defeated and slew Argilac the Arrogant, the last Storm King, Aegon rewarded him with Argilac’s castle, lands, and daughter. Orys took the girl to bride, and adopted the banner, honors, and words of her line.
The Baratheon sigil is a crowned stag, black, on a golden field.
Their words are Ours is the Fury.

Baratheon Ladies Face claims
I think Baratheon OCs are interesting, and I chose to do moodboards and face claims for possible Baratheon OCs you may need
Face claim:
1. Elizabeth Gillies
2. Delfina Chaves
3. Juliana Kelling
4. Lea van Acken
It took me a while to choose who had more Baratheon energy but I'm satisfied and happy with the results.
Names that I think that fit the Baratheon women:
1. Elettra + Emma= Elettrema
2. Mirabella + Hanna= Miranna
3. Carla + Amalia= Carmalia
4. Caterina + Viktoria= Vitterina
5. Daniela + Lotte= Dalotte

Do you think there’s a reason why Durrandon/Baratheon arguably the most warlike/famous warrior(s) house in the setting never had a Valyrian Steel weapon/Also why do you think that a Baratheon (except for Rhaenys) never tamed or tried to tame a dragon? They are much more closely related to the Targaryens than others who did.
I don't know why they didn't have a Valyrian steel weapon, no reason is given.
I think the reason the Baratheons never had dragons is because the Iron Throne kept strict control of who got to ride one and who didn't, to avoid losing a monopoly on draconic power and a potential rival faction.
Thanks for the question, Gator.

The World Of Ice & Fire/Fire & Blood: Argilac’s Downfall
Warning, Spoilers Ahead…
Aegon Targaryen and Balerion have destroyed House Hoare and Harrenhal. One problem child down, one to go.
King Argilac “the Arrogant” Durrandon’s bannermen have gathered at Storm’s End, a famed fortress with even thicker walls than Harrenhal. However, Argilac had no intention of being cooked inside his castle.
Argilac and his bannermen left Storm’s End to meet his foes in battle.
Orys Baratheon and his forces dug in south of Bronzegate and waited for the arrival of the Stormlanders.
The battle, known as the “Last Storm” was set to begin. A storm started during the battle, turning it into a chaotic mess: the warhorses struggled, archers were rendered useless, etc. Argilac and his bannermen broke through the Baratheon center only to encounter Rhaenys Targaryen and a grounded Meraxes.
The commanders of the Stormlanders vanguard, Dickon Morrigen and the Bastard of Blackhaven, along with King Argilac’s personal guard, were engulfed in flames.
The presence of Meraxes on the battlefield caused the warhorses to flee in terror, throwing many knights to the ground.
Orys Baratheon tracked Argilac on the battlefield and offered him one last chance to surrender. Argilac refused. The two dueled and Orys won.
Argilac’s death broke the Stormlanders, who threw down their swords and fled.
Argella, Argilac’s daughter, barred the gates of Storm’s End, declared herself the Storm’s Queen, and promised: “You may take my castle, but you will only win bones and blood and ashes”. Argella continued her defiance even as Queen Rhaenys flew Meraxes into the castle.
Sadly for Argella, the other residents of Storm’s End didn’t want to participate in Harrenhal, round two. Her soldiers delivered Lady Argella “gagged, chained, and naked” to the camp of Orys Baratheon.
Naked, really? The soldiers couldn’t let her wear a simple shift? Not cool, guys.
Fortunately for Argella, Orys is a gentleman: He “unchained her with his own hands, wrapped his cloak around her, poured her wine, and spoke to her gently, telling her of her father’s courage and the manner of his death. And afterward, to honor the fallen king, he took the arms and words of the Durrandon for his own. The crowned stag became his sigil, Storm’s End became his seat, and Lady Argella his wife.”
Did Aegon arrange the Orys/Argella union as a political arrangement or did Orys fall in love with Argella? I feel it could go either way as the details mentioned in the above paragraph would be ways to smooth the ruffled feathers of the conquered Stormlanders or it could be moves a smitten Orys uses to honor his new love?
Up next, the Field of Fire.
