He held the foremost authority over your heart.

He occupied each higher and lesser position in its pantheon.

Acceptance of and respect for every scintilla of difference between you and the society in which you inhabited, propositioned no consequence. Heroics suited him well - experience protecting you from the ever-anticipated onslaught of comments and confrontations had significantly developed his character. Though, it was hardly a reason to gloat. The fact of the matter remained that, in spite of your position at UA, circumventing such horror was a tricky endeavour. But love's transcendent strength granted Hitoshi both the means and the motive.

And upon drawing the curtain, he always shared that one jumper, ridiculously-comfortable and oversized. It was akin to an invitation into his embrace, but of course that too could be requested. He couldn't profess to be....yours, without first conceding to something so simple, so rewarding.

He appreciated each individual piece of your soul - even the misshapen ones. He understood himself as the binding-glue, holding them all together. Still, the intricacies of your relationship were often ignored in favour of relishing in the moment...in a type of wedlock bliss. It was strange, without the labels of 'lover' or 'partner'. You established neither boundary nor creed, yet somehow...somehow he always knew. Could he read your mind, or were your wishes twinkling like a thousand constellations amid your eyes? Either way, you presumed such fortune undeserved. Would he ever grasp the true extent of your gratitude? Could your heart's rhythm reach his? Could he feel it when he humoured your silent demands for snuggles?

Well...those demands were his lifeline.

And while he danced with his memories, a melody so raw and unrehearsed clambered on to your tongue with an elephant's grace.

"Hey...Hitoshi?"

What am I doing? I know I can ask him anything, but...how do I ask him this? Am I just supposed to say 'Are you really okay with me...with my Asexuality, with my reluctance to date, with...my non-conformity?' And what answer am I supposed to expect? 'Absolutely not, and now that you've asked all the questions I thought you'd never ask, I feel that now's the right time to leave you...to break your heart.'

"Yeah, (Y/n)?" Breaking him from the chains of fantasy had only ever failed once - in all fairness, the involvement of cats and Mr Aizawa played a key role.

'Eraserhead supremacy', as Hitoshi always joked. He lived (and would surely die) by that doctrine. "Um, do you really not care about my...orientations? That sounds dumb, uh...what I mean is...I won't ever feel comfortable with that level of intimacy. Is that really...okay with you? Don't most people take that kinda stuff as a given? It's holding hands, kissing, then...further, right? But I...I don't wanna do that stuff. I don't need to. I never will. You...you're different. You're normal. I've been thinking, and it...it just isn't fair to tie you down like that..."

"That really how you feel?" Hitoshi's eyes maintained their heavenward gaze, missing the tears that began to pool within your own. "I'm no more normal than you. We're the same amount of weird, same amount of crazy...we'd have to be, or this wouldn't have worked for so long. That stuff doesn't interest me, but if it did, I'd push it aside for you. I'd push everything aside, to put you first. Thought you'd know that. Guess not, huh? Sorry for making you worry."

"Huh? What are you apologising for? I'm the one who got all worked up over...over nothing. Well, it's not nothing, but...I guess I just...assumed." Guilt laced your voice.

Hitoshi turned, hand outstretched to caress away your crystalline sorrow. "I'm apologising because you were nervous to talk to me. You shouldn't ever feel different. Not around me, not around anyone. No-one has the right to say anything, unless you give it to them. And it's fine...we've only ever held hands anyway."

In the pale moonglow, his humanity seemed to slip...as if it were a mask, from which a god would spring forth. The wind caught his soft, indigo tresses, pulling them in every direction. You might have laughed, if not for the lingering tone of austerity. As you nuzzled into his hand, you remembered the carollers, in all their merriment, who only hours prior, had recited a flurry of songs from 'Jingle Bells' to 'All I want for Christmas is You'. During the latter, Hitoshi's propinquity and warmth had kindled something deep within your heart. The word had evaded you, until now.

Love.

Before, its infinitesimal spark reflected the stars above - bright, yet...so very distant.

Now, it had blossomed. It was here...it was real.

"What are we, Hitoshi?" You dared to whisper, trembling not from the frigid weather, but the fear of his response.

"Whatever you want us to be." He whispered back, paying no heed to the canvas of glitter and twilight.

I want us to be...so much more than we already are. I want those labels everyone else has. I want to be with you, forever and ever, though that sounds so childish. I want you to stay by my side, keep protecting me, keep giving me your jumpers when it gets cold, keep sneaking out at night, to watch the stars with me. I want to hug you, to hold your hand in public...I want to kiss you. I want to tell you exactly how much you mean to me. But I can't say any of that. You know I can't.

Both life and love echoed ephemerality, but it was a sentiment you staunchly refused. The labyrinthine nature of this love couldn't pry your lips apart - the instant they connected, the butterflies fluttering in your stomach exploded into fireworks so dangerous and charming.

It was a kiss imbued with feelings finally realised.

It was a kiss...your very first.

You had been meaning to really talk to Shinsou since last night. Nothing awful happened, just a simple accident. You and Shinsou were making out when he got a little too handsy. He stopped when you told him and didn’t ask for an explanation, but you were worried he was going to hate you for not being what he expected.

You were asexual. The idea of sex was... not ideal to say the least. You hadn’t told a lot of people this. Really, only a few of your friends knew. It’s not like it was something you had to do either since not many people openly talked about their sex life anyway.

However, with relationships sex usually comes. You and Shinsou had been getting more seriously lately and you figured he would want to take it to the next step. In your heart, you worried that he would break up with you. Shinsou was a pretty chill guy, but what if this was the straw that broke the camel’s back?

To ease the blow, you decided to invite him to your place for dinner. He never turned up free food, and you used this to your full advantage. Tonight you made his favorite meal and had picked up his favorite dessert from a bakery close to your place. You wanted to make sure it was nice.

You anxiously watched the clock as it neared 6:30pm. The smell from the kitchen was delicious, and you vaguely thought about stress eating it before he came. That would only upset him, though. That’s the last thing you wanted.

The sound of the door unlocking pulled you away from stress eating thoughts. You turned to see your tired boyfriend enter your home. He smiled at you once he saw you. You returned it, temporarily forgetting what you were about to do.

“Hey, (Y/N). ‘smells good.” He said, walking over to you. He embraced you before giving you a kiss on the forehead.

“I’m glad.” You pulled away, the good triggering your memory. “Could we talk though before dinner?” Shinsou nodded.

“Sure.” He said, an eyebrow raised. You felt your heart beat wildly in your chest. You lead him to the living room, sitting down next to him on the couch. His eyes were on you. You didn’t know if that was better for worse. His hand was still clasped in yours.

“So about last night. The reason I pulled away was... Well... Hell, there’s no easy way to say this. Shinsou. I’m asexual.” You said. Shinsou nodded before squeezing your hands.

“Okay, cool.” He said. Your eyes bugged out.

“Cool?? You don’t think it’s weird??” You said. Shinsou shrugged.

“Not really. It’s not like it’s something you can control so I wouldn’t call it weird. If you’re worried about our relationship, don’t be. I didn’t ask you out because I wanted to sleep with you. I love you for who you are. If that means you’re asexual, that’s fine. I still love you and that won’t change. Let me know your boundaries and I promise to never cross them.” Shinsou said. He raised your hand to give it a gentle kiss. “Anything else?” You smiled at him, the uneasy feeling leaving you. You knew there was a reason you loved him.

“Thank you.” You said.

“For what? Treating you like a decent human being? That’s what you deserve, my love.” Shinsou said. You leaned forward and wrapped your arms around him.

“That and for being the best boyfriend in the world.” You said. He chuckled, wrapping his arms around you.

“It helps that I have the best significant other in the world.”

Hiya! This is just going to be some basic rules in case anyone actually finds this blog and wants to request something!

NO NSFW! Sorry to disappoint but I'm asexual and writing/reading that just makes me uncomfortable. I aim to make everything I write able to be read by my fellow asexuals without having to change it in their minds to actually be able able fit them (Idk if that makes sense pretend it does) so that means nothing with any innuendo or implied nsfw either.

Also no pregnancy or children, as someone who feels very strongly about not wanting kids I feel like it would either just be too difficult or uncomfortable to write.

Everything I write will be x reader, I won't be doing any character x character but feel free to include background character x character ships in requests!

No gender specific readers, everything will be written with a gender neutral reader using they/them pronouns!

No physical characteristic specific readers either, just because it's likely that I have no clue what it's like to have that specific characteristic and I wouldn't want to write it wrong or I just wouldn't know what to write.

For headcanons you can request 1-3 characters (but you can always put more in a separate ask, I just only want up to 3 per post and it gives me more time)

Which characters do you write for?

This is a good way to finally make me write this list cause I’ve really been needing to.

It’s hard as a grey-asexual writer. Because I’m very picky about my character preferences.

Partially, some characters I view as paternal figures and it feels wrong, and also characters I don’t feel any attraction towards, personally, or I don’t know much about. Either way, it’s hard to write for someone that I can’t get into a certain mindset for. Like All Might, or Aizawa. I can’t write them in a romantic or nsfw way. All Might is too much of a dad for me to write about. And Aizawa is crawling into parental territory.

Maybe it’s because I have parental issues, that it makes much older characters parent like to me.

Just like Allura, or Coran. I can’t write for them because I’m not attracted to them in anyway. Coran is a dad/weird uncle. And Allura is space mom.

Also, it’s hard for me to write female character x reader. Not saying I won’t do it. It’s just I’ve never written any type of material like that. Anything I’ve ever written has been so far, male character x reader.

MAybe it’s because I’m too intimidated by how hot the girls are idk or that I’ve only ever been in one gay relationship and it was extremely unhealthy and scarred me. I’m a useless gay/

ANYWAYS LETS JUST JUMP INTO IT (going down the list of shows I’ll write for, that’s on my rules post) Now, these characters I’m putting down, are ones I’m the most comfortable and confident writing for. That doesn’t mean you can’t request others. But, on the other hand, just know you could be asking for a character that I never thought anyone would want a certain scenario/headcanon/prompt for and I’ll mentally cringe and ignore it.
