So basically I have this neighbor who my mom is friends with and she has a 16 year old grandson who apparently saw me one time when he was over at his grandmas and thought I was cute, so he asked his grandma to ask my mom for my number and if I’m single etc and then I gave him my insta and we started talking and he asked if I wanted to hang out with him and just like walk around the neighborhood. I said yes ofc but my friend was gonna be there too so I was worried it was gonna be awkward but it WASNT and it was super chill and he was super sweet and funny and afterwards he messaged me and said he had fun and asked if I wanted to go out with him sometime this weekend!!!!!!!

And this is Pumpkin, because he's orange. He has cerebellar hypoplasia (wobbly kitten syndrome) so he walks funny and is a little bit clumsy.

well... starting to develop yet another celebrity crush on mr Alex turner himself.

my prof just explained on the syllabus that he’s included more points in the class than we needed to pass, so we could skip up like?? 20 small assignments/quizzes/participation!! and still get a very high grade!!

the idea was that we could focus on assignments that played to our strengths - only do the participation stuff if we like to talk out loud - only do the quizzes/readings if we want to do the class remotely - only do online discussions if we like to talk and share opinions but struggle with anxiety in class ect.

and that’s cool enough but then he pulled up DnD character sheets with drawings he’d done of these hypothetical student player classes and how our various accessibility needs could be gamified to ‘max out’ different aspects of the class to get high grades and like!!!!!

hell yeah!!!! let’s treat accessibility in higher education not just as a necessity but as the fun, engaging, and creative aspect of learning that it is!!! I love this!!

i love spock with cats just like everyone and i don’t know how much y’all know about cat body language but i felt this would be important to share

this cat is extremely happy (understandable), she’s slow blinking (sign that she’s content/comfortable) and even making biscuits a little bit (the way she clenched her paws like she’s kneading, another sign of comfort/that she trusts the person she’s with)
