THEORY I WANT TO SHARE THAT I HAVE HAD IN MIND FOR AWHILE!
(Genos, Drive Knight, Metal Knight, Mad Cyborg related)
I had a theory awhile ago about Metal Knight and Drive Knight working together secretly, but now something tells me that is not the case whatsoever.
I think it’s strange on how Drive Knight tells Genos to not trust Bofoi off the bat in the beginning from the end of season 1.
Like he’s trying to turn on the possibility of a traitor in the HA in the mind of Genos (so he becomes worked up about it, which works and favors DK later on). Like he needs someone else to do his dirty work for him, due to DK already being seen as suspicious by MK.
(ik ik im stretching here and there but, let me cook)
But I feel like it’s strange on how Drive Knight tries to pin point it all at Metal Knight particularly because of his absence throughout the Hero Association. Like he’s trying to make it out as HE is the one Genos needs to target particularly. Especially because he’s the only other robot besides the 2 of them being part cyborg.
Does Drive Knight tell this information to anyone else, BESIDES GENOS?
No, not at all (at least that’s just from what I know and see, as he’s a very secretive person).
And I think it’s really strange when Drive Knight starts to mention about ‘knowing’ something evil about MK. It’s like he’s inserting himself, or with the people he might work with in secret. Like a new hidden organization yet to be announced in the storyline.
Especially on the first panel below this, when he tells Genos why he’s telling him this. It all seems so manipulative, stalker kind of vibe, trying to share common ground/change his persona to be likable/trust worthy. He’s suspiciously trying a little to hard to gain his trust, he’s trying to be a victim like him, I guess gain sympathy in a way?
It’s like Metal Knight KNOWS he’s in a mentally unstable condition, that Genos seems desperate enough to find out about his ‘mad cyborg’ killer sooner or later.
If someone very important to him happened to die, Genos would whole heartily (maybe with a grain of salt) follow Drive Knights information. (Wanna know what happened? KUSENO DIED, HIS FATHER FIGURE, SOMEONE WHO WAS THERE FOR HIM IN THE BEGINNING. And wanna know what he did after? He used that information from Drive Knight to go after Metal Knight.)
Also-
HOW DOES DRIVE KNIGHT KNOW THAT GENOS’ES VILLAGE AS BEEN DESTROYED BY A ‘mad cyborg’ AS WELL???
NO ONE TOLD HIM??
SO HOW DOES HE EXACTLY KNOW!???
(It’s like out of the blue.)
This only furthers my suspicions on Drive Knight.
Especially on the after math of Kuseno’s death and when robots invade nearby cities. In which Genos automatically assumes it’s the work of Metal Knight.
And now with new evidence from the newest webcomic chapter shows Metal Knights base, with no robots forming out of the base itself.
As all of his robots are by the HA HQ fighting the new other robots.
(Although the chapter isn’t fully translated yet, you can see DK, which proves my previous point up above in the third section.)
I actually think Drive Knight might be working with the association that destroyed Genos’es village. It would explain on why he’s trying to pin the blame on Metal Knight and to not become suspicious from Genos POV, giving him a good alibi for the most part.
And if anything that ‘mad cyborg’ killer could be Drive Knight himself, but that’s a bit of stretch if anything.

A little bit more evidence mentions: (from the top of my head)
-Metal Knight tells Child Emperor to not trust anyone as his final message to him. We are shown a text of both of them used to being friends.
It’s like Metal Knight had to cut his connection towards CE for his safety as he MK already felt he was being watched himself. (But that might change due to the recent chapter that has yet to be translated, can’t fully confirm until then but just putting it out there.)
-Saitama tells Genos to just talk to Metal Knight and ask. But Genos pays no head to that, which might become his biggest mistake.
I feel like this is foreshadowing that once Genos gets close to Bofoi, and Bofoi tells him that he doesn’t know what he’s talking about/tells him straight up he had no relation to the event he speaks of. I feel like Genos might lose it completely even if Saitama is next to him and tries to calm him down.
Like I feel like Genos might almost kill Bofoi but Saitama stops Genos in time. And both start to argue and it’s starts to become sad from there.
-It’s strange how after Genos talked to DK for a bit, then Kuseno dies.
Coincidence? I think not.
It’s like Kuseno was on DK’s hit list for him and the people that he works with/the association that killed Genos’es village. And they had to get rid of him one way or another, it would explain why there was random strong robots there. They were being tracked and targeted, mainly Dr.Kuseno (as if he was getting close to the truth).
Like they to manipulate Genos just so DK could earn his trust and lose a lot of suspicion in his eyes. Even after Kusenos death.
-THE 2 MF ROBOTS FROM SEASON 1 THE SOUND O SONIC EP! (I think)
They appeared after taking back the suit of the big strong bald head guy.
It’s like very early foreshadowing of members for another association, yet to still appear out of thin air. (IMO)

my dummy headcanons for the yee yee ass haircut man, that I want to get off my chest:
✩ his real name is Ido - created this from his hero name pronunciation "Nīdorusutā".
✩ before joining and getting kicked out of the Blizzard Group, and becoming a professional hero on his own, he definitely was involved in some gang (the delinquent vibes?). Inevitably did a 180 and became a hero... because our man is good deep down inside🖤
✩ maybe worked in security? or like a chauffeur for a gang boss at some point? Anyways, any job he did was cut short because of "disciplinary issues" a.k.a. him not being able to take orders and listen to his superiors if he thinks it's not the right thing.
✩ chews bubblegum when he feels like smoking (wants to quit smoking). Get's lowkey annoyed when working with other heroes who smoke right in front of him (lmao Zombieman pls it's not healthy for you, sweetheart!).
✩ kept the suit he got from the Blizzard Group. Had to return it after being kicked out, but didn't because he's a little shit lol.
✩ wears safety pins as earrings to show solidarity with those who are marginalized, believes in "all lives are equally valuable". So I think most of his attitude/arguments with others stem from seeing people treated badly (e.g. probably wasn't a fan of newbie-crushing that the Blizzard Group did).
✩ thinks he's a smartass, but probably barely finished school lol. Maybe has street smarts? A little bit of physics knowledge, because he has to estimate the trajectory of his mace?
✩ idk but I think he has like... a million tattoos under that suit. Overall, he's very into the punk look, looking alternative and having a "no rules" style. Wears a lot of dark clothing, ripped clothing, boots, maybe has a few t-shirts in 'weirder' colors (e.g. hot pink? lol). Likes studded and spiked jewelry, has a few killer leather jackets. But only wears everything casually, tones it down for hero work.
✩ I think that his good guy side stems from either: 1) growing up on the streets and witnessing poor, weaker people being treated badly (maybe similar mindset to Garou, reacting to the injustice of the world, but choosing to be better); 2) not growing up on the streets, having a good support system and family that helped him form his values (maybe a good, but strict mom? a younger sibling he kinda wants to be a role models for?); 3) no big reasoning behind that, just him being a decent human being.
✩ pierced his own ears with safety pins when he was a teen to impress his delinquent friends. Pierced his ears unevenly though lmao.
✩ is a total tsundere about it, but secretly enjoys working in/belonging to a team. I wanna believe that him and the others (Mizuki, One Shotter, Gearsper) form some sort of a friendship after the MA raid, maybe go out for drinks or something. I love them all so much... I just want them to interact again in the manga 🖤
✩ maybe has some resentment towards the Blizzard Group, but is mainly focused on his own path as a hero. Not the one to badmouth the group or Fubuki behind their backs.
✩ is a regular in one barber shop and goes like once a week lmao like a lot. Keeping his zig zag haircut looking fresh is his top priority. Probably dyed his hair at some point too. Wishing we got a colored version of him in the manga.
✩ keeps his mace and chain next to his bed when sleeping. Curses a lot (says "damn" and "holy crap" in the manga), will call you a dumbass.
✩ and a super dumb last one: sings while driving. Like he's a decent driver, but a horrible singer (thinks he's good though lmao). Telling him to stop will just make him sing louder. Maybe that's the reason he lost his chauffeuring job lmao.

Dm rambles Ch40
When Iryo came to save them all my heart was SWELLING with excitement and joy. He is so badass. Of course he felt it the moment the killer made an appearance, and he comes running right away.
And the way he just LOOKS at the killer first. It’s so chilling. In moments like these you’re acutely reminded of just how absolutely deadly Iryo is. He has complete confidence in his abilities, and he will use them.
Bitch just WALKS up to the killer like it’s nothing, cuz he knows for a fact he’s stronger.
This fight showcases just how much more capable and experienced he is compared to Boros, further highlighting how Boros was just fighting with his purely instinctive powers alone, not of his fault, but because of their difference in rank back in Xaria Vecta. (And their age. Boros is literally just a bby).
This whole Horizon’s refuge arc actually, is a great highlight of that. Like that scene where Iryo teaches Boros how to detect the killer’s energy. It reminded me of this lmao
Anyway, the fight. HOW IS THAT KILLER SO STRONG WTF
To go against IRYO, that is no small feat. Just who is he. And he somehow possesses the power to affect another’s aura. One that isn’t shown on either Iryo or Einaros, as mentioned. (Kinda reminds me of an esper? Or the Mindtaker. Messing with people’s aura. Idk why since none are mentioned to do so)
But Iryo seems to be unaffected by it- or rather, has experience repelling them off? Though he still has to give effort with the sheer power it exudes. And the way it’s described is just- so fucking cool. I have to geek over whenever there’s a fight scene in this fic- it’s just so good. The way Iryo’s red energy flares up. So potent and dangerous but somehow, at the same time, cold and calm like his demeanor. This killer might be deadly, but he’s got nothing on Iryo. This criminal may be a cold blooded killer, but surprise surprise- Iryo is also. Only difference is that Iryo’s been trained for years and years by the strongest in the Universe. Your days are numbered murderer.
But still- to go against THAT. That is very impressive. I can’t wait to see who or what this guy turns out to be. And if they are a robot- though with the mentioned charred flesh it may be a cyborg?- that in itself would be so damn interesting cuz all the powerful beings, including in opm, are organic ones. So to imply that a robotic being can have such an energy- adds so much to this Universe as a whole. (For obvious reasons my mind goes straight to the bald hero’s beloved disciple.)
Oh right and did i mention how Iryo snarling is the most sexiest thing ever. Like. Dude. You’d think he’d be this cold headed soldier that simply follows orders to fight- but no, in this instant you can SEE his Xar instincts- to fight and WIN. He was angry that he was even gave an inch, he was angry that this enemy was able to go against him. That animalistic urge to win in a fight- for him to have shown it- I love this so much you have no idea.
Now- Iryo’s interaction with Boros.
Im not kidding when i say i get giddy when Iryo even mentions Boros. So him calling Boros ‘deserter’ when addressing the others that maybe he could face the killer, and Caleb saying that he could just call him by his name got me smiling crazily like a maniac.
You can imagine my reaction when they eXCHANGED NODS- i was dead that instant. I died.
Iryo was probably just doing it to acknowledge that yea- ur going patrolling, i’ll be here on lookout. Not thinking much of it- and Boros is like- ????????and nODS BACK not knowing what else to do i fucking love this idiot so much. God why is he so cute.
As of now Lumi and Iryo is my favorite duo on the team but if Boros and Iryo keep this up.. and they somehow grow more closer.. i MAY die. That’s a warning.
Anyways, speaking of Lumi.
What Iryo has with her is so SWEET OH GOD IT MAKES ME FORGET ALL ABOUT THE ANGST OF HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH ZAEL which was exactly what Iryo was thinking too. How different it is. And now he’s admitting that it was very dark and twisted. And he’s realizing that now, admitting to even, (though i’m pretty sure he already knew it was bad even back before everything when to shits) because he has a friend that genuinely cares about him. He can make the comparison now. And it hits all the harder. The way he softens to tell Lumi not to worry- fills my heart with joy and warmth and LOVE I love them so much and I will keep saying that until i die.
And his convo with Draas.
The two antisocial fools coming together with the power of Lumi- is perfect. They agree on one thing, that Lumi is a precious lil bean that they will protect at all costs. As it should be. Draas opening up is always so nice to see, especially to someone he had doubts about at first. And Iryo.
God this fucking albino.
‘,,You mean that I haven’t been useful already?” Iryo retorts, allowing himself a small smirk.
,,Do I get on your nerves?”’
Are you KIDDING ME calm the fuck down diva oh my GOD LMAOOOOO i love this twink so much.
I love that Iryo’s growing more and more comfortable around the pirates- not just for this moment alone, but the way he speaks a lot more with them now, even if it;s mostly case related. He’s a part of the quirky funky crew now and has to accept that.
But still despite all that- his signature professionalism and indifference when they’re in a stressful situation is *chef’s kiss* such a good contrast. The way he looked at Boros with no emotion after the fight. Offering(?) his own energy field for Boros to get back up quickly. All business. I love it.
And lastly-
AERON
first of all the whole robot thing Horizon;s refuge’s got going on is so cool. Like, in any other sci fi universe with robots, star wars for example- they’re treated like seconds to organic beings, no questions asked. But here it’s not- as seen with Aeron, and that in itself was interesting but actually, no. Here in Horizon’s refuge it different. Like the moment you see a robot here you go- huh. That’s just a robot. That;s weird. Cuz we’re so used to Aeron and he’s just a dude. A person.
Anyway, thought it was a very cool background for the robotics in this Universe.
And with this chapter, im now almost certain the killer’s got to do something with Aeron. Maybe it was just his weird field affecting the nearest robot the worst, but maybe something more. Im sure it has connections with his headaches, Valenterra, and his past.

The fact that there are vile criminals in the OPM universe (organ traders, perverted serial killers, scums who run an extensive drug business, bank robbers) who have been given a chance to live in the smelly lid prison (otherwise killed by flash) indicates that there is a justice system which accordingly dole out the punishment to vermin like these. Then who the hell do the heroes think they are? Arrogating themselves to the position of deciding which human being deserves to live or not (throwin
(throwing shade at all those heroes who tried to kill Garou before and during the MA arc here) If they are heroes, then isn’t it their job is to protect “everyone”; literally every single person?
(Your last sentence is precisely the message bnha has been repeatedly selling, over and over, more on the nose than in opm, so...I understand how strongly - as a moral imperative even, this should feel for a hero's ideal conduct.)
But this is also one of the nuanced messages Garou's character has brought to the story - where even the accountability of heroes is called into question. Cause some can get away with assassinations (Flash) or [redacted] (PPP), or any other type of corruption behind the scenes (like in the wc's Neo Heroes arc) while easily getting a slap on the wrist or given the benefit of the doubt...simply because they're labeled 'good' as heroes. Which you know, Garou could perceive as morally wrong as a child when those like 'Tacchan' called the shots on who gets beaten. It's that appeal to the 'popular' authority, or abuse of power (injustice) in the name of false 'justice' that he couldn't stand. You see it often when they prematurely label/dehumanize him as their excuse or 'justification' for wanting to exterminate him. (When it's 'ok' to enact violence on a certain outgroup, because you see them as non-human scum, which you know, is a common thing people do in RL. Garou called it 'when you throw away your kindness' vs Darkshine for ex.) Along with the many heroes who were actively trying to kill Garou the moment they fought him - like Blue Fire, TTM's group, and Death Gatling's mob at the shed scene (many ganging up on him in the name of their position or pride at stake, which....Garou also found disappointingly unheroic.) But then in cases where other heroes like Mumen and Saitama for ex, could still see he's human - it made their 'judgment' of him then feel more appropriately heroic in contrast to the ones that didn't.
.....But now, all that tasty nuance feels like it's been thrown out of the window with god's involvement. ;o; (But where also again, Garou is trapped in the cycle under god's unfair injustice.....) Where the heroes are seen as purely 'good' and the corrupted 'Garou' is judged as pure Evil. (When in actuality, he's a victim to god too.) Hoooboy. Saitama's heroic conduct is briefly called into question, but all the grievances and nuances from Garou's (wc) speech about such issues have been essentially stripped or literally robbed from him. (That we know of....because it's unknown if there will ever still be a 'talk' scene about such things later in the fallout or not.)

Okay so the implication I feel is one of four things
1) He still cares for Bang, the simplest explanation but not bad. I’m always a sucker for sentimental fools being sentimental fools. This is also sadly the shabbiest explanation though.
2) He hates the monster association cause it’s just another way for the popular to gang up on the unpopular, just replacing monsters with heroes as the popular people. (Still it’s 1 on 3 in this particular fight so i can’t imagine that’s the case)
3) He doesn’t like being cared after or having people finish his fights. This seems to be the most surface level explanation but it feels…shallow? I dunno, he seemed fine with picking off injured prey, so it’s not as though he isn’t alright with finishing other people’s fights…
4) The realization that Centichuro is going to kill them for REAL. This is the explanation I find most personally compelling. For one, this change in behavior only comes on after he’s told he has to start killing his prey and that another will ‘finish’ it. This lines up with his childishness-the flashbacks and the fact that he doesn’t actually kill any of his enemies despite saying he’ll have a kill count of 100 after he’s done with the heroes that went after him. To him, ‘killing’ someone is just another word for beating them. In his head, he’s still playing pretend with monsters and heroes and the idea that this would go beyond that, lead to another’s death, it may very well be a complete mood-killer for him, which is why he starts getting so aggressive at it. Anyways, interested to see how his ‘no killing’ thing will mesh with his becoming a monster. (Unless he doesn’t become one? Which I could easily believe but also I do think opm struggles with not letting its characters die when they aren’t one off villains so hopefully that’s not the case? Not that I want garo to die, I find him more compelling than ever now but y’know. It would help with one of opm’s biggest flaws in terms of stakes imo)

⚔️ ; APPEARANCE — Imagine as if a bunny got turned into a human being, yeah that's quite literally me. I got the chubby rosy cheeks, small nose that has a pinkish tone to it, i also have the bunny teeth and big round eyes. People often compare me to one and i just kinda accepted it. I also have glasses, and am a completely blind shit without them. I have red circles under my eyes (they're just there I'm fine) and i have curly jet black hair that's really fluffy. I am about like 198 cm tall
⚔️ ; PERSONALITY — My personality is basically just Arataki Itto if he was more of a crackhead, I'm very loud and chaotic. I'm also very oblivious and blunt, you'll have to explain something to me at least 10 times again, if i don't understand; i also like make jokes a lot, and puns sometimes! In general i just adore making jokes and getting a good laugh. Speaking of laugh my humor is extremely broken, I'll laugh at anything ranging from the most chaotic thing (examples: a goddamn picture of an m&m, a horse with high heels, a piece of bread falling, the word balls, someone flying, literally an image of a tree with music) honestly anything ranging from just that will make me wheeze like my lungs just exploded, or I'll laugh like a crazed fox. I am seen as pretty chill, I'm honestly a happy-go-lucky person and I can socialize with everyone! i have a habit of cursing and invent the most absurd sounding curse words my favorite ones are “you blithering feculent shithole” “What in the name of sweet dong tickling horse fuck?!” “bunch of putrid douchesquatting cretins” “you bullshitting shitbagging fuckass” and finally “how can you be such a fucksquatting pain in the waste chute” i also act like a knight despite my use of constant profanity. 'Tis but the truest way of the knight! Any chance i get to act like a knight, I'll take it. I probably pay more attention to animals then humans, if I'm in the presence of an animal and you're talking to me? I'll pay more attention to the animal. I usually miss major signs due to me being an oblivious asswhiffer and usually misunderstand situations a lot. I’m also really vengeful, my way of thinking is similar to that of Garou from OPM or even The Hero Killer Stain Himself. (how the hero demographic gets ALL the benefits and praise. Even in play fighting. I believe a villain is a living being and could become so much more if they weren’t labelled so bad though obviously there's real bad people, it's just not the villains they have their own motives and it's usually pretty innocent. I overly detest the over-egotistical nature of the heroes and just how easy life can be for them. I label it as injustice. The inequality is crystal clear, If i could i would bring justice to the villains. MHA Heroes are kinda on thin ice with me, i see them as the same with all heroes.)
⚔️ ; HOBBIES — drawing,reading, writing, dancing, i have a habit of cracking my bones- like how people crack their fists, i do that except with every bone in my body. Acting like a knight, or just whatever randomness my dumb fuckass of a brain can come up with
★ What i look for in a date: A date that's basically just us going to see a movie, somewhere in winter or just in a generally cold area (i hate the heat 💀) eating delicious food like: lasagna though i honestly prefer it to be cold as well (don't judge me) and we come back home and cuddle, i of course, am the little spoon despite being tall. I'm not the type of person to give orders i prefer my friendfriend [QPP] to do it for me, I'd love it if the person gave me headpats, i would literally hold them up and hug them tightly.

I’m a shitty writer, and I need to show this to anyone who’s interested
A preview of that new dream-based Garou/fem!Reader I vranted (vented/ranted) about the other day and am currently working on hahaha

I really can’t stop myself from posting this holy fuck

He watched as you took a step forward and leaped towards the monster in the blink of an eye. Garou’s golden gaze widened as you lifted one of your legs and brought it down on the monster’s head with unparalleled force, crushing its huge head and body on the process. You then somersaulted away as what recognizable remains of the beast crashed, the mysterious being dead before it could hit the ground.
Garou remained where he stood on your porch as you turned around and marched back to your house, still wearing that expressionless look. What surprised him the most when you reached him was the minute quirk that appeared on your lips when you turned your dull gaze on him.
The self-proclaimed Hero Hunter’s only reason for taking interest on the strong was because of their – well – strength and fighting capabilities. You have them, you definitely do when you were in this state where something (your fighting instincts, maybe?) seemed to take a hold of you to fight and defend yourself on the process. But there was something hot arousing appealing on seeing a small and delicate cowardly woman go “instant kill” mode and thrash monsters regardless of their size and strength with just one hit.
Now this was the reason why Garou kept on coming to your humble abode unannounced and incessantly teased the hell out of you. He wanted to see more of this side of yours, and maybe gear up a mock fight or two?
But, nah. There’s no appeal in losing to you a third time if that was possible.
His rational side agreed with that kind of reasoning.
Teenage hormones, the one he successfully kept locked for the whole duration of his puberty, thought otherwise.
Garou grinned widely at the warring sides of his brain as you snapped out of your trance and squealed pathetically at the green blood of the monster that had splattered on you.
Maybe losing to you again wouldn’t be so bad as long as he gets his head crushed between those killer thighs of yours.
