If you use arab.org like I do please consider taking the extra 30-60 seconds to click on ALL of their causes. Palestine is important but so are the environment, refugees, children, women, and the impoverished across the middle east and it doesn't take away from Palestine to click for multiple causes. The arab world faces a lot of problems and they only get worsened by how western nations have oppressed and attacked them. Clicking is small but it generates something and overtime it does benefit the greater good. It takes all of us clicking as often as possible but we can do it! It's really easy and safe and they have proofs on their site on how they do make an impact and are donating your click money

I think we should sometimes all just sit back and think to ourselves,
is this something Arthur would do?
or worse,
Is this something chapter 6 Dutch would do?
Be loyal to what matters, be like Arthur

No place like Home
Tumblr media
A home is a primary need for ANY human life.
No matter what place you call home, the very word itself strikes a chord deep inside each of us. Home means sanctuary, the place we can rest, relax, enjoy time with friends, learn, grow … and just be. Our homes say a lot about who we are and what we think is important in life. Across cultures and over the centuries people of varied means have made homes for themselves and for those they care about. Humans have clearly evolved to be home builders, homemakers, and home-nesters.
But unfortunately due to various reasons (i will be discussing in another post), over half a million people in America are currently experiencing homelessness. Most are individuals but there are also families with children, this includes people from every gender, race, ethnic group, age, social status, etc. This isn't only an American issue, it is worldwide but for now, we're only referring to America specifically.
The consequences of not having a home
Being without a home can negatively affect all aspects of life including your mental health. Being without a house also means a lack of social security, lack of health insurance, social isolation, health issues, malnutrition, lower life expectancy, unemployment, vulnerability to substance use and/or abuse, loss of self-esteem, exposure to high levels of pollution (depending on your location), lack of basic necessities, high vulnerability to crime and violence, Unsanitary living conditions, Severe weather, depression, anxiety, and it goes on...
In conclusion, living in the streets is very stressful
Imagine not knowing where your next meal will come from, or even if you’ll survive the freezing temperatures tonight? What would your life look like if the next 24 hours were filled with uncertainty, fear, and the lack of basic living essentials?
These kinds of situations can make a human go into survival mode which is an overactive stress response that drives people to obsessively think about painful things: things past, things to come, endlessly analyzing and solving for “what if?”. In other words – the worst version of brain overdrive you can imagine, all the time. It’s anxiety so powerful that it takes over your life –
So next time you come across a person living in the streets think twice about ignoring them or even going as far as being disrespectful to them, you truly have no idea of what they're currently experiencing.
I am not saying it is your or our responsibility to pull them out of the streets but I am saying it is human decency to feel at least a little bit of empathy toward them. It truly amazes me how cruel people can be to take advantage of their situation and treat them as if they're less.
Remember unless you are a millionaire you are one paycheck away (or one argument with your parents before they kick you out depending) from being in their shoes.

“Ladies and gentlemen, make some noise for the richest man in the world,” Chappelle tells the audience. A number of audience members cheered — though there was also a loud chorus of boos, too.
“You weren’t expecting this, were you?” Musk tells Chappelle following the boos.
Chappelle responds: “It sounds like some of those people you fired are in the audience.”

To be fair at the start, this is a drunk post as an atheist thinking of the Christian religion. If you are offended, your religion is not the reason.
That said, I think that while Christ's sacrifice upon the cross absolving our sins is fantastic, I think that within that sacrifice was His will to push helping the less fortunate, not stealing from them.
Can't wait to see the outcry... go ahead and tell me what you think...

"From Crisis to Solution: Unveiling the Blueprint for Ending Homelessness"
To effectively address homelessness, a multifaceted and collaborative approach is crucial. Here are some key strategies that can help in solving homelessness:
Tumblr media
Housing First Approach: Adopt a "Housing First" model that prioritizes providing stable and affordable housing as the primary solution to homelessness. This approach recognizes that housing is a fundamental human right and acknowledges that addressing other underlying issues, such as mental health and substance abuse, is more effective when individuals have a safe and stable place to live.
Tumblr media
Supportive Services: Combine housing with comprehensive support services tailored to the needs of individuals experiencing homelessness. These services may include mental health and addiction treatment, employment assistance, life skills training, and access to healthcare. By addressing the root causes of homelessness, individuals can regain stability and self-sufficiency.
Tumblr media
Prevention and Early Intervention: Focus on preventive measures to stop homelessness before it occurs. This involves identifying individuals and families at risk of homelessness and providing targeted assistance such as rent subsidies, eviction prevention programs, and financial counseling to help them maintain housing stability.
Tumblr media
Collaboration and Partnerships: Foster collaboration among government agencies, non-profit organizations, community groups, and businesses to pool resources, expertise, and funding. By working together, stakeholders can develop integrated approaches, coordinate services, and maximize the impact of interventions.
Tumblr media
Affordable Housing Initiatives: Increase the availability of affordable housing options through the construction and preservation of low-income housing units. Implement policies that promote mixed-income neighborhoods and prevent gentrification, ensuring that affordable housing remains accessible to vulnerable populations.
Tumblr media
Education and Employment Opportunities: Enhance education and job training programs to empower individuals experiencing homelessness to secure stable employment and achieve financial independence. This includes creating partnerships with local businesses to provide employment opportunities and support for job placement.
Tumblr media
Public Awareness and Advocacy: Raise public awareness about the causes and consequences of homelessness, challenging stigmas, and misconceptions. Advocate for policy changes and increased funding for homelessness prevention, affordable housing, and support services.
By implementing a comprehensive approach that combines housing, support services, prevention, collaboration, and advocacy, society can make significant progress in solving homelessness and providing a path to stability and dignity for those in need.
