There's just something I really dig about horror that takes place in the Arctic/Antarctic Circle. The isolation in harsh environs really up the stakes.

Cody: General, why are you staring at our medic?
Obi-Wan, not blinking: I'm asserting dominance, it's an important step in breaking in any new medical staff
Cody: ...as you say, sir
Cody, turning to Helix: and why are you staring back at the General?
Helix, squinting: it's an important step in breaking in any new patient sir
Cody: ...right

Who is Near's roommate at Wammy's, and how does he organize his desk and living space?
Sorry for the long wait, Anon!!
Here's Near and his roommate Helix!
Helix is a biology kid, with a special interest in bugs and insects. Maybe he even preserves flowers. Has steady hands and is generally low-conflict and calm. Has a terrarium with african giant snails in their room.
Nears space is very tidy, more like a lawyers office than a kids room. I think of him as having a thing for space and astrophysics. He has a DIY orrery on his shelf. One way for him to help him process is crafting paper miniatures and making little dioramas of things that happened during the day.
Near and Helix are not friends per se but they get along. Which is all Near can manage at his time at Wammy's regarding relationships. Getting along. They're vibin in their own spaces in peaceful coexistence.
I gotta draw more of those two, I actually like them a lot together, not gonna lie!
