Just read this little poetic nugget in a Covinsky (Lara Jean Song-Covey x Peter Kavinsky; from To All The Boys I've Loved Before) fanfiction.
With all that I've been contemplating, this just resonated with me.
For everyone out there who's struggling - with mental health, trauma, physical illness, anything really... Maybe this will resonate with you too.
And, thank you to the author (@amillionsmiles on AO3) for this.

4 year old Ahmad Shabat - an israeli airstrike hit him, his parents & 4 siblings; he survived, they didn't - then they hit him & his father's relatives; he survived, they didn't - then they hit him & his uncle; he survived, his uncle didn't - both of Ahmed's legs have been amputated because of injuries. He survives.
i hope Ahmad gets to live. i hope he has a beautiful and fulfilling life. i hope he finds love and safety and comfort and success. i hope he finds happiness. i hope he heals. i hope he continues to survive. in spite of the violence, in spite of the trauma, in spite of the horror. in spite of the world.

The perfect big sister! <3
Ft. my "Toga Himiko is a Bonesaw" take under the cut:
I'm not very familiar with the superhero genre beyond Worm and MHA, so I might be missing a pre-existing trope - but I think these two share an archetype: Little Girl Villain who juxtaposes extremely gory, visceral acts with a happy and innocent demeanour. Their villain personas epitomise idealised archetypes of girlhood; frilly-dress-and-tea-party '50s little-girl for Bonesaw, and lovesick tween schoolgirl for Toga. These archetypes are anchored to a specific age - the age they were when they lost the chance at a civilian life.
On that note, neither of them got much choice in life, with Toga branded a villain for her Quirk and Bonesaw groomed into villainy by Jack. They both lost their families, and seek a surrogate family in their villain group, whose goal is (ostensibly) mindless destruction.
Is it any wonder that they're frozen in stasis at the age when they were traumatized? I find it interesting that they're both older than their archetypes (Bonesaw, at 12, is pretty much the age of Toga's archetype!) but are unable to move past these personas.

My personal feelings in the Fionna and Cake ending is that it was perfect.
The story showed about how we can only control what is in our very personal and small world and not worry about or take on the responsibilities of that outside ourself.
We will make mistakes and wish we could rewrite them over and over and over until it’s perfect but we can’t. We will hate aspects of our lives and adore aspects of lives we don’t know the intricacies or hardships of but we can not insert ourselves. We have our own lives to live and rather than define it by a given purpose let us define the purpose as we go along. Not everything is revealed when it’s over, you may not get the answers but it’s okay to go somewhere and not know.
Some endings are happy, some are sad and some are just that, endings. They don’t have neat little bows or a “The End” on the last page but they allow us to put the past down and move on to whatever else lies ahead.

Bandido posted an injury update, hopefully whatever option he chooses has a good recovery time and he heals up well with minimal suffering! Bless him for worrying about other people while he's dealing with health issues, I hope he understands he's absolutely worth the wait however long it takes

Seems like Gold Pendant was not a single use one?
^^^ I have not seen these model rips before! Found them here ( x ), and apparently they were extracted by AstralLace (same person who we owe that high-quality Gratia model reference to)? This oval inside structure is rather interesting, too?
I have been thinking it was strange that a blood gem would be golden, but seeing that hollow place inside of the pendant, I feel like what Vicars were doing was adding blood (their own?) inside and locking the gem, allowing it to solidfy into mini Frenzy Spears from within! But since the blood would be trapped inside, it could easily make an amalgam and change its properties to golden!
I just think that I can finally be at rest with this line:
The description made it sound strange, because not only it implies there were other Vicars in the timeline between Laurence and Emilia, but also that they had to rely on this pendant consistently TO put down the Clerics that turned! So, if the gold blood gem was made upon ruining the pendant somehow, that'd mean it has not been used before, which would make the description pointless.
...unless! The golden gem formed within WAS used at least several times, and became a tradition within the walls of the Healing Church! Because the pendant is not the gem itself, but a small tool to MAKE this special gem!
Besides, rune Beast's Embrace is dropped by Laurence, and it is the second instance where the emphasis is made on "horrible/abhorrent" beasts, not just any type of beasts in general. Gold gem says it grants properties against the most horrible beasts too, which only further feels like it IS reserved to put down the Clerics in particular.
Soooo.... yeahhhhh. They've placed the lore inside of a small 3D model that its impossible to see without datamining. I don't know what else I expected from Fromsoft, really. -_-"

A thing that really gets me about Nico is that both Titan's Curse and ToA (plus the TSatS excerpt, assuming the stuff there didn't get cut in editing) make it clear that Nico's natural state isn't actually doom and gloom Underworld goth boy. He's a total nerd with a snarky, kind of dumb sense of humour! He's the sort of person who will have entirely genuine conversations about which Star Wars character he'd go on a date with and get sidetracked from an important quest because he's talking about the expansion packs for a card game he likes! I've seen people complaining about Nico acting kind of cringy and dorky and otherwise like a teenager in the TSatS excerpt, but like... that's a good thing? That's Nico starting to heal from the sheer amount of trauma he's been dealt now that he has a home where he belongs and friends who support him! He's starting to find his way back to that sweet, sort of dorky kid we met back in Titan's Curse before everything in his life went straight to hell, that's a good thing! Let Nico be a dork, come on, it's adorable.

the real sign that the dsmp fandom isn't what it used to be is that it's been at least 4 months since I last checked wattpad for people reposting clinic on there and this time around I only found 3 of them. as opposed to last year when I once had to submit a dmca takedown report with wattpad for 6 full reposts of clinic
