Just as his nickname suggest, he only speaks in chimes and bells! Usually Belldrop sings small melodies for himself, but sometimes they can be directed to someone in tone or mood

Similar to a music box, or piano, he's got a range of vocals but not any speech.

Everyday I think about the ending to Claptastic voyage and how it ends with Shadowtrap offering Claptrap power and how claptrap refuses this, wanting to stand with his friends and then how shortly after those friends turn around and kill him and his entire product line just as Shadowtrap said they would and how much Claptrap truly believed his friends were his friends and how they hated him and how even Athena who was neutral towards Claptrap did nothing to stop him from being destroyed and how the only reason Claptrap even survived was because of Shadowtrap and how Claptrap is just supposed to be an annoying side character that the audience and the characters could laugh at and make fun of but the writers turned him into the most tragic and heartbreaking character ever written and holy shit I hate borderlands

Harvey Headcanon because I need to tell somebody before I forget it

Maybe others have had this same thought but I'm going to be taking into consideration three things. First being the fact Harvey is most likely in his thirties, whether that be early thirties or late thirties. Secone being some of his dialogs, specifically the one about losing a patient mixed with when you marry him, he mentioned a nightmare of your mangled body, and lastly the whole war going on.

Taking into assumption Harvey worked his ass off in school to be able to get into a medical school, whichever that be, starting at 18, he would've graduate at around 26 (medical school takes about 8 years where I live). Starting off as an assistant in a local walk in clinic and eventually somehow making his way onto the field. Except, he wasn't in the action, he was simply the medic. I'd say he'd be around 27 at this point.

He probably made some friends with the soldiers that came in, given he is pretty friendly by nature, even if it comes off as shy. And with that came the risk of not being able to treat everyone and losing some people he held dear. It eventually came too overwhelming to him, even though he knew what he signed up for when he chose this career path. So between the age of 29-30, he eventually quit and most likely started some therapy, a long with moving to the nice, quiet town of Pelican Town.

He moved there to get away from all the stress, and most people came to see him only for minor injuries, and the occasional checkup. It was a life he was best suited for in his opinion, and he wouldn't have it any other way.

And then the dumbass farmer came along and ruined it /hj

I've known that modern au's for ofmd don't really do it for me but I think I just put my finger on why. the whimsical and harmless anachronism of it all, of stede and ed's behavior and relationship, of their emotional maturity and immaturity, of the crew's dynamics and camaraderie, of the dialogue in general, in 1717, is such a huge part of not only the show's charm but also it's message. the way the comportment of the revenge clashes with the rest of the world, which we see so clearly with the badmintons, the republic of pirates, and izzy specifically, and the fact that ed finds comfort and safety in stede's wacky way of doing things, it's all integral to the tones and themes of the show.

if you take the intrinsic silliness of the crew of the revenge as compared to the surrounding environment, you change the dynamics completely. which I understand is the idea of an au but, for me, most of the time it so utterly changes everyone's character that it becomes unreadable. I've read a few au stories that do manage to capture a similar uniqueness, which makes the fic really work! but 90% of the au's I see- specifically modern au's simply don't hit the same beautiful tender adorable heartwarming little niche that the show does.
