Friendly reminder that Percy jackson - our beloved silly adorable seaweed brain - is absolutely terrifying. When he’s angry, when he’s scared, when he’s on edge - he’s not warm and fuzzy.

No other character gets that reaction from people. Jason (the sweetie) is perceived as calm and in control, nico (our favorite self-outcasted outcast) is perceived as solemn and creepy, reyna (girlboss queen slay) is perceived as confident and assertive, and annabeth (our girl) is perceived as fierce, clever, and formidable. They are all intimidating to an extent.

But not like Percy. No. Becasue even when he’s at ease, he’s described as wild and disobedient. And when he’s not at ease, even if just little bit, he’s perceived as powerful, dangerous, and scary. Someone who NOBODY wants to mess with. Nobody even questions his power. One look from him has literal gangs running the other way. One look from him has Leo so scared that he’s literally shaking, and feeling the same innate fright and alarm that he does when jason summons an ear-piercing, earth-shaking, deadly bolt of lighting.

like… HELLO??? can we all just sit on that for a moment?? good lord

One angry look from percy has people thinking one thing: Run.

Percy is, canonically, the character that people find the most frightening and intimidating.

And unless he’s in a good mood - which you better hope he is - the reality is that most of us would be completely terrified of him if we met him.

I'm not gonna indulge too much in my Undertale AU on Tumblr, I am gonna just keep it private as I do wanna keep my main focus on my FNAF AU, but here y'all go

It's a little rough, but people really liked my Mettaton AU design so I wanted to desperately draw him :')

It's not the best, but I wanted to draw something today.

#i spent all of today mucking around with my art fight #changing profile pics for characters and editing all 90+ of my attacks to have updated thumbnails #aswell as adding characters and such--- it was alot #so this was a nice random sketch i did just to wind down.#I also randomly painted an eyeball out of boredom so THAT'S something #but yeah i hope this is ok #its rough like i said but theres a charm to it.#a little about my AU mettaton as a treat:#he is heavily posessed. he ran away from alphys halfway built between ex and neo #and has to power himself by using his actual ghost alot of the time #he salvaged his charging supply (or batteries idk what makes him run)#but the body is insufficient with power so he has to rely on possession alot of the time especially #when the body ages.#his eyes flicker pink when hes posessed and his ghost self does make himself appear outside of the suit #but with his soul still bound to the body #he can only go so far before he cannot anymore. he is literally tied to his body now HSGSVSV #he also goes by Hapsta in my au. a play on Hapstablook and also to avoid toyhouse sniping me #tho you can call him mtt or mettaton anyways idm lol #mettaton #undertale #undertale au #undertale oc #mettaton au #my art #my oc art

#but in all honesty he's a virtual pet from a mid-90's pc game that really only had fans in japan and germany #the game operates on a real time 24 hour clock so there's different things happening around the map depending on the time/day #finfin responds to the player's voice similar to hey you pikachu but you have to take care of him kinda like a tamagotchi #there was a rhythm game too. and a very short anime that's available on youtube in low quality that has almost nothing to do with finfin #and some cds with songs (with club mixes) about finfin by a german dj for whatever reason #anyway someone donated to play one of the songs at the end of one of wayneradiotv's streams #and he loved it and was curious about that it was from so a week or two later he found out how to set it up and streamed it #and that's why it's gaining a bit of popularity now #anyway just look up ''fin fin on teo the magic planet'' and read the wikipedia article if you wanna know more #there's also an old german fansite and ppl are finding more info and pictures on archive.org too

I'm honestly not sure why Kishimoto Masashi hasn't done any other stories that isn't Naruto (well, there's Samurai 8, but that ended up cancelled, and Boruto is...well. It's Boruto But Let's Disassemble Boruto's Dad's Canon Until Not Even The Atoms Are Left).

Compared to the high fantasy ninja-cum-borderline-modern-day-cyberpunk aesthetic, Mario was such a breath of fresh air. Maybe not as lived in as Naruto (because it's a forty-four page one-shot, and you can't really afford to waste time on making New York feel "lived in" in that many pages), but it's so grounded in reality that the environment and the foundations of the story are already set in place. It doesn't have to worry about playing with the Magic System or keeping its chronology from getting tangled up in retcons and deus ex machina. It's short, it's simple, and gets right to the point while leaving many of its other elements inferred and in the background.

#as i understand it. or at least it's speculated. that elements of samurai 8 are being carried over to boruto #hence why it's moved away so quickly from naruto's 90s tech to an almost postmodern cyberpunk era #as well as teenage punk and grunge aesthetic that can almost be called dystopian #it's why - for me - boruto has felt less 'ninja fantasy' and more 'urban fantasy but throw in space-faring alien leeches into the mix'#especially with the arrival of two blue vortex #but the problem with the otsutsuki is how utterly last minute they are in canon #w/ no buildup whatsoever #and its timeline is such a mess that a plate of spaghetti looks more coherent #mario doesn't have that problem #it's set in 2003 new york about a guy in the mafia who takes on jobs to earn money for the sake of money #who eventually teams up with a female hitman in order to earn his own territory #there's mention of his late yakuza mother and how the hitman he's working w/ looks like her #as well as his necklace in the shape of the libra's scales that play into his ties between his mother & his partner #BOOM it doesn't waste ANY time faffing around. the plot just gets right to it #it's an interesting little oneshot that unfortunately doesn't really leave room for continuation #due to the way the ending doles out his fate #like. kishimoto has the POTENTIAL for constructing tight storycrafting #we saw this in the minato one-shot recently #he just needs to do what HE wants to do and not try to aim high #a'la try to make it another naruto/boruto #armi reads manga #manga

thinking of how like reading albert cashier's (19th century trans man, fought in the union army) wikipedia article is devastating to me, in a good way, when like there's no The Diary Of, The Posthumously Discovered Letters Of Albert Cashier, it's all like fairly dry Facts about someone living a fairly ordinary life mostly Known by us all later via like, here's his stints at various jobs....and it's that like it's this life where several times due to injury / illness, his being trans was Known to any other people, and those people who, as is always the case in any matters of how we treat others, didn't Have to be respectful & simply mind their own business, but they did anyways, no known added factors, they Just Did. noting that despite hospitalization in the union army stint, he evaded detection(tm), but that it's then later on like this ordinary guy with an ordinary job, albert gets sick & a family he had meals with (a) takes care of him thus (b) becoming aware he's trans, and they: mind their own business about it. later, different job, totally different & even more removed party in the physician involved who realizes this person is trans, Also just minds their own business like aaugh!! the tragic downturn that when becoming "too" disabled for a Soldiers & Sailors Home (where friends & soldiers from his union army regiment visited, it says!! this with notes prior about like "other soldiers in the regiment noted he tended to keep to himself but he's not the only one in the world doing so huh" like waaah!!) being institutionalized & like of course in that environment that's where we get the violence of ppl learning someone's trans & this disabled person being forced into clothes they obviously even now would not choose for themself, or they'd already be wearing them!! but that then what Also happens is that even being this Extra vulnerable now and being trans being Known such that his military pension was investigated for fraud, Former Comrades vouched that this is the same person who fought with them, it was decided the pension payments should continue for life, they did, he was buried as albert cashier with full military honors i'm sooo ;;;m;;; like Cry Every Time (crying now. help) when it's just So like, people, as they do, don't Have to treat anyone decently, and obviously trans people are vulnerable & you're of course made to believe there weren't even 19th century trans people & everyone would Of Course summarily reject it if so b/c the internet wasn't around to mess things up, so that's an extra layer, but truly that timelessness anyways like. this person w/his identity so Lifelong that no "birth name" was known until someone handling his estate traced it back years later, this guy just out here, living his life, with nothing asserted to make him so "exceptional" as to "justify" Exceptions(tm) Made, with nothing about otherwise leveraged power or advantages or appeals....just various assorted people in his life all choosing to be respectful, even when they didn't Have to, just people coming through and Recognizing This Person. thus i sure do cry every time

I can’t believe I live in a three dog household where Arlo is the least problematic and the most angelic of the bunch

#so proud of how far he’s come #he’s not been reactive in years #he is still fear aggressive with 90% of dogs and 100% of men but I don’t see either of those as flaws #his man hatred has saved my life on more than 3 occasions #his favorite kind of dog: tiny boys (if neutered)#we have a tiny neighbor named Digger and he gets very excited to see him when they’re in the yards at the same time #and it’s so healing to see him play bowing at a dog after all he’s been through #but I can’t let him play bc Digger’s mom is kind of unsettling and I think her vibe would set Arlo up for failure #he wouldn’t hurt digger but he might get snarly if diggers mom makes him nervous #so they just say hi through the fence #he does NOT like juni #he is indifferent to banjo but she doesn’t really like him so he’ll lunge and growl if she comes near (there are no instances where #they interact at all dw)#me n Arlo live in the basement with our own set of doors #Juni n banjo live upstairs #my cats get free rein of the whole house EXCEPT as of recently since Juni is turning out to not be very good with cats #so now they’re in the basement with us during the day when the upstairs dogs are home #free reign at night and while Tyrell and thom are working #the Juni with cats thing is actually sort of bizarre— she’s only iffy with them when I (their parent) is around #she gets VERY upset if i pet Ottilie in front of her #resource guarding maybe? but she doesn’t resource guard me from banjo like she does w Tyrell #Juni is complex #banjo is an enigma and hard to read #I love them all even if they’re all a lil nutty #banjo and Juni are reactive #Juni only while on leash #she’s making progress #I haven’t walked banjo in a while so I’m not sure where her progress there lies #but she’s still reactive in the yard #anyway I’m proud of Arlo

one day i might actually write an essay on russells relationship with masculinity and (over-)performing masculinity in his search for his own identity during the 90s till about the mid zeroes

#text #i am not actually too serious about this but at the same time a happy student when it comes to russell #as a kid he self-describes himself as shy and there are some people from that era who agree with that #but at the same time he had a bit of a troublemaker image #which he hated because nobody took him serious when it came to things he cared about (english and history)#then i think he found comfort in performing somehow #i believe that there is a branch of actors who might not even be too confident #but who excel in controlled environments #because ESPECIALLY 90s russell was just... a bit of a bundle or nerves #just watch any interview with him and his body language #he is constantly fidgeting and sitting different etc #and he played so many roles that he put himself into to the max #and where he would visit gay clubs for or would walk around like a skinhead to understand peoples reaction #that i think it is easy to also start to live from performance to performance rather than to really figure out yourself #and that is the recipe that in 99/00/01 etc blossomed into Very Masculine russell in what looks at an attempt at figuring out himself #and also creating a very non hollywood image by wearing things either from south sydney or the toronto maple leafs etc #it is as if he created an over the top parody of all the elements of his life #especially after gladiator #with a motorbike and a specific type of clothes and rowdy behaviour #and then that kind of continued to be unstable until the late 00s where he seems to have figured it out for himself #and now he just seems. fine.#he doesnt see himself as hyper masculine but more the opposite (the whole i wear make up for a living and poetry thing)#which is a very.... Morrissey way of seeing yourself as not typically masculine but i take it from him lol #and he has reconnected with his kiwi roots #he takes pride of his hobbies and happily tweets about it #he is still prickly about hollywood but that is just his authentic self #anyway consider these notes in the margins etc etc

looking up punk pictures on google is so bad for me because it always ends up showing me the grainiest oldest baby punk pictures and i start hyperventilating and crying...

#it's such a toxic mix of affection and nostalgia #nostalgia because i kinda grew up in that same time. he's 10y my senior but my brother is around the same age as punk is so #basketball shirts and long hair on boys etc etc. the whole 90s / early 00s vibe......#and my brother played basketball and was a big fan of the nba so i grew up around jocks #but also nerds because my brother was also a big computer nerd #ufhgdfklh #lots and lots going on in that tiny messed up brain of mine
