Me again, before you yell at me, read to the end of the sentence I had nothing against Stolitz when it was simply a CRACKSHIP.

Realistically, Stolitz could never have worked, but it was interesting to see how it could, the problems only started when the entire show began revolving around it, and it only got worse from there.

Now Golden Goose I can see genuine reasons why, especially with Octavia:

The main reason being Mammon genuinely treats her like a daughter, where as Stolas only really does when she's at risk of abandoning her lineage and going on her own path, thus incurring Paimons wrath.

(I'd also like to point out he's just flat out a coward, he's the 5th prince of the ars Goetia)

It was inevitable that some fans would ship Stolitz even from the pilot, what shocked me was Viv literally derailing her show to appease said fans.

Stolas is truly an awful father, I understand both he and Stella were forced to have a child, but that doesn't change the facts.

He's an even worse father than Paimon, at least Paimon tried, his attempts were misguided and shallow due to his worldview, but he genuinely tried and took pride in being a good dad, at least in his own eyes.

Stolas is only seen ignoring his daughter or making excuses and empty promises to change. We never even get concreate confirmation that Stolas wants to be a good dad, just that he's willing to do the bare minimum when Via snaps from how miserable her life is now. Said instances of snapping being her only appearances in the show thus far btw.

Mammon and Stella are both such fascinating characters that deserve better, especially with each other :)

PAIMON’S NOT A BAD FATHER

//Helluva Boss spoilers below

I have seen TOO many posts that lump Paimon and Cash Buckzo as both terrible fathers and I was just gonna let it slide, but I just woke up and hyperfixation’s a bitch, so let’s write an essay instead >:D

Join me as I go through the ways Paimon treats Stolas and show that he’s NOT a bad father (though not a good one either)

START!

“Ah, there is my little…” *whispers to butler* “which son is this one?”

He forgot his son’s name. Yeah, that’s not great. But according to him “there’s so fucking many”. Honestly, if he had anymore than two kids, that’s too many. My mom has four kids and calls me the wrong name all the time. At least he bothered to ask his butler for the right name, instead of just saying something close to Stolas, or avoiding saying Stolas’ name all together!

“Oh, that’s an ugly noise, son. Here, how about you cease this bitch crying?” *Stolas continues to cry* “That usually works :(“

*a moment to laugh cause Paimon really sounds upset and confused that this didn’t work*

Okay, this one’s not great. I have no defense for this one. He should not be talking like that with his kids and calling them “ugly” and such. But again! Paimon legit is confused and upset that Stolas didn’t stop crying after he said. He’s confused and in a small moment of panic. “He’s still crying? What do I do now???”

I honestly suspect that Paimon is in a very high position and is pretty busy, thus doesn’t have much time to learn the proper way to talk to kids.

“Would you like it if I took you to the circus in town? Children enjoy the circus, right?”

Further proof that he doesn’t really spend much time with kids!! He’s just going by what he hears. Plus, he could have easily said “too bad, you have to do this, get over it” and gone about his day. Instead, he genuinely tried to think of a way to make Stolas feel better, even if it was through distraction. We know where Stolas gets his parenting skills from.

*attends circus through magic mirror*

He went to the circus with his son! Like, he could have just sent Stolas to the circus with his butler and been done with it. But he actually attended it as well!

It IS through mirror magic, which is strange, but we don’t know how great his position is yet! Maybe he had to work at the same time, but still wants to cut out a moment for his son. Maybe it’s for protection. Maybe he’s agoraphobic. Maybe he REALLY didn’t want to smell the poor. He still tried to attend!

*the curious eyebrow while Stolas talks about Blitzø*

First of all, he’s genuinely listening to his son. That’s a lot more than I can say for a lot of parents, fictional or otherwise! He noticed his son liked Blitzø and was happy, which leads to our next parental action.

*fucking buys a fucking child for a day*

Genuinely went to buy Blitzø?? For his son???? Technically not all that great morally wise, but it’s the thought that counts, I guess?????

“It’s his birthday. He’s so sad and I don’t want to deal with him.”

YOU DONT HAVE TO. YOU HAVE A BUTLER. IT WAS YOU WHO SUGGESTED THE CIRCUS AND MADE AN ATTEMPT TO ATTEND THROUGH MIRROR MAGIC. YOU COULD HAVE JUST IGNORED HIM AND WENT ABOUT YOUR DAY.

Seriously, I’m getting the vibes that Paimon either isn’t great at conversation or isn’t great getting his emotions across (toxic masculinity, yay!). I’m reading “I don’t want to deal with him” as “I don’t want to stress about my son being sad, especially on his birthday”.

“Fizzarolli would be pretty expensive.” “No, the other one.” “Blitzø?” “Correct!”

I genuinely let out a sigh of relief at this part! I was worried that this would have revealed that Paimon had not been listening to his son and would just get what he thinks kids like.

But no! He paid attention! He realized that even though Fizz is the popular one, Stolas wanted Blitzø! So he made sure to get that one.

*hits Stolas* “Don’t bow to that one! He bows to us, idiot.”

I have no defense for this one either. This is definitely a bad moment for him. You don’t hit kids. You don’t call kids idiots. I get that he’s trying to teach Stolas the proper way to address and be addressed based on social standing, but there are better ways to do it.

“I’m so good at daddying!”

Okay, I get that this is a joke because he literally just hit his son! But at the same time, he wouldn’t have said this unless he actually wanted to be a good daddy! He’s trying! He doesn’t know what he’s doing, but he’s trying! He wants a good grade in parenting, which is normal to want and possible to achieve!

Annnnnnd I think that’s all that Paimon is in for the episode. Again, not really father of the year, but he is NOT the same as Cash Buckzo, who easily sold Blitzø for five bucks while Fizz would have been expensive. And compared to how dads in royalty or government are usually portrayed, I was pleasantly surprised! Paimon cares for his boy and he’s trying so hard 🥺

While Blitzo was paid to be Stolas' playmate and was manipulated by his sleazy father into being a thief, Stolas was genuinely happy to have a friend his own age in childhood, which probably saved his sanity from Paimon's less than competent parenting.

When Blitzo explains his dream of running his own circus business, Stolas is incredibly supportive, if somewhat amused at a circus having an office. When the prospect of Blitzo hiring him comes up later, Stolas says he hopes he'll qualify and that Blitzo will make a good boss. While the start of their playdate had Blitzo being bored and clearly not thinking much of Stolas, and even if it comes after Blitzo tricking Stolas in helping him rob the palace, by the end they are laughing together and happily discussing their futures with mutual interest.

During the anniversary party, Stolas was so desperate for emotional connection that, when he met Blitzo again, he convinced himself that the imp was sneaking into his room to seduce him. Blitzo, who hadn't seen him in 25 years and was only after the book, took advantage of this not realizing Stolas was after a genuine connection and leading to the collapse we saw in "OZZIE'S".

It also turns that Blitzo was planning on just tying up Stolas so he didn't see him steal the book...then changed his mind and decided to give Stolas a fun night after discovering just how empty Stolas' life was, looking genuinely guilty upon realizing what kind of emotional damage that abandoning someone in makeshift BDSM would do to him. Especially someone who, in that bondage, called Blitzo his “first ever friend”. "OZZIE'S" has made it very clear that Blitzo might put on a front for everyone else, but I.M.P is his attempt at creating a family "circus", and he doesn't actually have very many friends of his own, having pushed his old friends away years ago (Fizzarolli, Verosika and even kept Stolas at arm's length as a child), and continuing the pattern with Moxxie and Stolas.

Stolas and Blitzo's relationship seem to have been very much headed for doom from the beginning, and it's clear that both Blitzo and Stolas has never had a healthy and meaningful relationship with anyone except maybe Octavia for Stolas and M&M and Loona for Blitzo, and even those relationships are fraught. It probably isn't a coincidence that both Blitzo and Stolas seem to be trying to make up for their horrible fathers by being better father figures to the people in their care. Stolas has been so deprived of love and affection for his whole life, other than Octavia, that he has no idea how real, non-transactional relationships work even though he desperately wants one.

Blitzo's the same, though he's spent more time hiding that, which is understandable given that he's a trained clown that has to hide his emotions. Just like Stolas, Blitzo desperately craves intimacy and a relationship of his own, but he doesn't understand intimacy without some non-love motive behind it, and he pushes others away to the point of resentment because his upbringing/mistakes with relationships in the past have led him to see himself as a failure and horrible person who doesn’t deserve love, despite being terrified of dying alone as a “wrinkly, old, withered waste”. Not to mention that Stolas, being a very sheltered member of the Goetia family, has a very poor understanding of power dynamics and as such, his "kinky fantasy" of “favors for favors” has real implications that he failed to consider, which may have permanently impacted his relationship with Blitzo. Only time will tell if they can make things right.

Oh my God......

So in Episode 2 Season 1 of Helluva Boss Octavia said she has nightmare where and I quote "No one was there. Not even Stolas or Stella."

This foreshadowed the episode "Seeing Stars" where one day Octavia wakes up and no one is in the palace except that Stolas was outside arguing with Stella on the phone...

This makes me think that Octavia could have the power of seeing the future in the form of dreams! Well cause when Stolas was old enough to begin his studies on the royal duties he would have to fulfill Paimon said "The stars, the prophecy's"

So my theory well headcanon I guess? Is that Octavia has a sort of future vision where she can see Prophecy's or thing that are gonna happen in the future.

Headcanons for Stella's friends because these two deserve some love

While we all love Stella here, I have to say I'm slightly disappointed that not one person, that I'm aware of, has taken the chance to do something with her friends. Especially when exploring the more tragic parts of her character, as her besties would be an important part of her support network. So I decided to name them and give them some uniqueness. For anyone curios I also plan on using them in my "GoldenGoose-verse".

Let's start with Camio. Like her real life demonology namesake, she can manipulate fire and increase or diminish the clarity of others' memories. Her duties mostly revolve around the latter ability, often to enable or prevent certain people to take certain actions.

Personality wise, she's quite bubbly and easy-going. Despite this, she's fiercely defensive of those close to her and gets a kick out of pushing people's buttons from time to time.

She actually has a lot of interest in human history and the evolution of their cultures. This is partly because she occasionally shapes human history and partly because she's always had a fascination with relationships, both between individuals and between groups.

Her and Stella have known each other basically their whole lives and can, consequently, get away with a lot more when it comes to messing with each other.

Now, onto Furfur. She's biologically male and nonbinary, cool with any pronouns but with a preference for female pronouns. Possesses electric powers. He's the most physically powerful of the trio and has several forms, similar to Paimon*. While their primary duty is weather manipulation, they also have the important task of keeping track of angelic activity on Earth.

*To expand on this, I like to think that every goetic demon has several forms, with one as a "base". Paimon's base form is indeed more humanlike that the form we see in The Circus. The reason most of the Ars Goetia are birds in the show is because bird forms are "in" at the time of the series. Furfur's primary form is a fluffy cloud deer

Furfur often comes across as aloof or inconsiderate, but that's mostly because of his belief in pushing her friends to improve themselves, this is frequently compounded by their snarky streak.

Loves playing with their and Stella's hair, they've both tried to convince Camio to grow her out.

She also has a habit of taking Stella and Camio on daytrips to Earth, everything there is her treat, she just loves swindling humans. After Stella and Via, their the most pissed at Stolas for being a sex pest.

I have some more stuff for their overall dynamics and how Mammon gets involved when he and Stella get together, but I feel that should wait for another time.

Just realized that when Paimon was revealed to be an owl in Helluva Boss, many people were complaining that the real Paimon is despicted as a middle eastern man riding a camel.

Then the episode comes, and it turns out the one voicing Paimon is the voice actor of one of the, if not THE most iconic villanous middle eastern man in animation history, Jafar from Aladdin.
