"My overrall opinions of the Overlords of Hell. The Vees are fucking horrible people, and... Vox literally wants me to teach him how to be better rivals with that Radio Freak. I'm not too familiar with Zestial, but I've known Carmine for a long time. Rosie is polite and sweet, but I'm not a cannibal. And ugh!... don't get me started with Alastor...(Stupid Daughter attention, seeking, stealer...) Oh, and I don't give a shit about the Overlords... excluding the dinosaur one, yet I don't know her too much aswell.

I have a thought about Hazbin Hotel- and specifically how Camilla managed to kill one of the angels.
because if just any demon or overlord could kill one, why hadn't it happened before? why would this be the new ground and not something thats been seen in the past- surely the angels have gone against overlords before. surely if thats all it takes then it should've happened before.
and thats where my theory comes in- its not about who killed or how- its about the intent behind it. Camilla says she only killed the angel to protect her loved ones- her daughters. it wasn't to kill just to kill or to show her power.. it was an act of selflessness. An act of good.
And i think thats the key. Its not about the weapon or the person or power- but its the intent behind it. Acts that are honest to god good and have no ulterior motives are the key in killing the angels- beings that are supposedly agents of good and purity. Its fighting fire with fire.
And i think thats what will make Charlie the most dangerous demon in hell when the extermination comes again- because shes not fighting to protect herself or just to prove her power as the princess. she'd be fighting to protect others and prove that people can change. and no one will be able to stop her- not adam, not her father and probably not even Alastor if he tried.

i was watching yt videos about the hazbin hotel finale and someone pointed out that when you really look at the vees' part in the final song it doesn't actually make any sense because the extermination didnt create a power vacuum, we know for sure that the rest of hell was untouched bc of the news broadcast from katie killjoy that we saw at the end. so all their talk about masterless cattle and overlords hanging by a thread doesnt make ANY sense, everyone else is completely fine. camilla was so right the vees ARE inane and uninformed. they were literally watching everything from their bigass tv screen with a hundred cameras and they still got confused somehow. incredible

Normally, when I see posts like this, I ignore it cuz it's nothing serious to argue over, but I just feel like giving some fair points about it.
I can agree that not every single episode has to revolve around Charlie. There are still some characters we are curious about and want to dive into, but here's the thing;
The problem is we're already 4 eps in and most of them hardly contain Charlie and the plot of the whole show, not to mention they're fast-paced with the show cramming in new characters and the plot containing them as much as possible without even taking the time. Our 4th episode in and we already have Adam, Lute, Vox, Valentino, Velvette, Camilla (her daughters included), Zestial, the other overlords, etc. All these characters and we're not even in episode 5 yet!! I'm surprised Cherri Bomb hasn't even shown up! She was in the pilot and had a whole speaking role and everything while the three Vees and the Overlords didn't.
EP 1: Charlie takes her father's place in having a meeting with the Angels meanwhile Vaggie tries to make a commercial about the hotel with the assistance of the staff. Okay, we were off to an alright start. Though I wish the ep didn't go back and forth with Charlie and Vaggie. I feel like 1 half of the ep should've been about one person while the other half focused on another.
EP 2: The three Vs are introduced. We see that Vox and Alastor hate each other and he, along with Val and Vel, figure out a way to keep Charlie from ever striking a deal with Alastor. Why they are trying to do this? I dunno, it's never explained really. They get Sir Pentious to spy on Charlie and Alastor by seeming to Charlie that he's interested in rehabilitation. Meanwhile, Angel's feeling all upset about it and we're given a hint at him and what his relationship is like with Valentino. (Charlie was present, but overall, this episode was not about her).
EP 3: Alastor arrives at a meeting with the other overlords (Camilla n them). It's a meeting about . . . Idk, it was a meeting. Velvette comes in and reveals she's found the head of one of the exorcists which is a shock to Camilla (because she secretly was the one that killed the exorcist). Meanwhile, Vaggie tries to help Charlie figure out how the staff can have trust and bond with each other. (This episode kinda involves Charlie, but we're mainly focused on Vaggie and how she feels she doesn't do much for her. Crazy thing is someone apart from Viv or Adam wrote this and much better than either of them could write a page.)
EP 4: We immediately jump into the Angel Dust arc where we focus on him and his situation dealing with Valentino. Meanwhile, he continuously argues with Husk but then they make up and become friends in the end. (Charlie's only there for the first half of the episode while just barely being there for the second. Aside from that, this episode wasn't about her at all.)
Y'all see what I mean?
Also, Viv said that Hazbin Hotel was a female-focused show where it is centered around Charlie and even Vaggie, so of course we're gonna expect more of them instead of the rest of the characters.

hii! could u write headcanons of Alastor x Male (preferly) Overlord Reader who is the opposite of him? Rarely smiles, isn't very chatty and is rough? and since Alastor loves dancing and singing, maybe Reader is shy about it and doesn't like the way he dances and sings?
You know what! I am gonna kill two birds with one stone and make us an Ink Demon! Overlord. So, we’re basically like Baby Bendy from the second BATIM game. Don’t know it? Look it up. One side is harmless and adorable and the other side is monstrous and vicious— however. Here, it’ll just be causal demon form than evil demonic Ink Demon form! Anyway. Let’s goooo. I’ve been doing a lot of GN for Alastor, this time we got a man! I don’t know if you want us to be romantic, I am just gonna guess platonic
Alastor- Follow Me
Tumblr media
You look pretty cute and friendly. Black and white, cartoony, with adorable stereotypical demon features like arch-like horns and a long-thin tipped tail. Most importantly, your entire body is made of ink. Only your clothing is touchable, otherwise, your ‘skin’ is so soft, liquidity and stains anything it touches. For that reason and one more, you harden yourself up and avoid conversation
Alastor, the Radio Demon, is not a fan of making friends with men. He prefers women, they are just easier to talk to. However, you’re not as vile and unlikeable as most men with your personality is. You’re the strict, stern, responsible one of the Overlords, ordering the other Overlords to pay attention to Camilla Carmine
Alastor doesn’t know why but he finds you interesting
Your uncontrollable Ink Demon side is extremely violent and merciless so you had to develop a thick shell, in order to make sure nothing can make it trigger at random. It’s too much of a risk, hence why you behave in the way you do. It’s a self-defence mechanism and it’s a protection method to everybody else around too
Alastor doesn’t even care that you’re untouchable. He will touch you anyway, getting annoyed by the black ink forming your body in a in-fact, solid fashion, getting onto his sleeves or hand but he ignores it to converse with you
Alastor also ignores the gruff warnings you give out when he approaches you. That you’re dangerous and that the Ink Beast will try rip him to pieces if it’s let out. If anybody thinks Alastor would be scared of the Ink Demon, they have another thing coming. He’d actually like to face off this Ink Beast one day
It looks like, to every other Overlord, that Alastor is talking to a brick wall when he talks to you. Since you’re not responding not even looking at him, just focusing on Camilla and her statements with the most bland and rough expression, not a single hint of a grin. You’re the opposite of Alastor and yet, he’d like to befriend you
Alastor keeps trying and trying without even halting. He’s quite the persistent man and when he wants to befriend somebody, he won’t stop until he gets what he desires and at this moment, it’s to make friends with you, rather you shut him down and bark at him to stay away
Alastor finds your overall appearance cute. You look like you were drawn for a kids cartoon in the early 19th century. Possibly around his own time of the 1920s-1930s. You’re bendy and mendable, you defy all laws of logic and have cartoon physics on your side. You’re like if a kids cartoon demon tried to be a big bad mafia boss and ruled a part of Hell itself, and he isn’t filtered when it comes to this opinion. He straight up tells you all that
Alastor, overtime, ends up succeeding like the little I don’t take no for a answer brat he is in getting you to agree in joining him out to the Hazbin Hotel and accompanying him for a nice little tour. Throughout the tour, he notices that some music in the Lobby is blasting and without even hesitating, he drags you over to join him into a dance
“Come, my dear sir. Let us dance this tension away!” Alastor chimes out rather excited, immediately leading you into a half-messy dance performance with him as the head. You just stumble along, slightly gritting your fangs in discomfort but it won’t be acknowledged by Alastor in the slightest. All he cares about is putting a smile on your face
Alastor laughs warmly as you attempt to try keep up with him during this dance he had dragged you into. You’re clearly quite timid, not enjoying the way the Deer Overlord dances and sings but you either don’t care enough to shut him up or you are too kind to try shut him up
Alastor likes to tease you about your behaviour and your looks. He isn’t frightened or intimidated at all by your beast side and you’re too colourless and squishy to be scary, he does actually view you as a wonderful friend. Even whilst you’re cold and dismissive, he can get you to acknowledge him and be polite to him so it’s a win for Alastor in the end
It’s been a long time since Alastor got a male friend so he can be more crude and snarky with you, without actually needing to be sensitive, like with his women friends
“My good fellow. You don’t need to act so broody. Smile now, you’re safe and whatever you are worried about, it’s not going to do anything to you or me or anybody in this Hotel”

Ok so hi I just found your blog but I really like your writing and was wondering if you would write a Camilla carmine x fem reader one shot or head canon you can choose I don’t really know about what but I feel like she is really underrated and I would love to read more fanfic abt her so yeah.
Hope you’re having a good day/ night/ evening
Carmilla Carmine x Fem! Reader
Oneshot / fluff
▼△▼△▼△▼△▼
Tumblr media
Carmilla was the first person you meet when you fell done to hell, thankfully she took pity on you, she offered you a job as a weapon maker who’d you gladly accepted.
You knew now she owned your soul but you were desperate and scared and besides she treated you with kindness compared to some overlords that treated their worker like crap.
As you were making a gun with melted Angel weapon parts, you heard carmine calling for you. You walked to her office to see her sitting in her chair another chair empty in front of her and her desk, “please have a seat.”
You gazed into her eyes, you always found them to be beautiful, you had butterflies every time you saw her, yes over the years of working for her you developed feeling for carmilla but you did it believe she liked women.
That’s what you assumed though. You took your seat and she smiled “I’m glad that you’re here today I needed to tell you something.” You looked at her, was she really going to say it… you hoped so “I… I’m here to tell you that you’re the employee of the month as always.” She cheered.
You smiled but inside you were disappointed, of course she wouldn’t say that she’s an overlord and you’re just an employee that’s she owns the soul “thank you miss carmine, is there anything else you wanted to tell me or need me to do?” She seem to hesitate but let you go, you want back to work with a heavy heart.
it’s been a week since that meeting with Carmilla and you were at home watching the show ‘yeah I fucked your sister so what’ that was until you heard a knock on your door.
You looked through the peephole to see your boss? What was she doing here? You immediately the door “miss carmine- “enough with the miss carmine your outside of after all, call me Carmilla.” You I nodded your head “ok Carmilla what brings you here?”
She seem nervous but she but put on a brave face “(y/n) you are a wonderful women a great ally to my work… and” she grabbed your hands you then noticed that she looked deeply in your eyes “I… I wanted to tell you that… I have feeling for you.”
This feeling of bewilderment took over you “you… you like me?” You blushed “yes I, really do and I wanted, to set you free from my contract.” Your eyes widen “I Carmilla… you have no idea how long I wanted to hear you say this.” You hugged her with a smile which made her smile in return.
“I’m so glad you feel the same way my dear.” She smiled she then took out your contract and ripped it in half “I set you free, my sweet, so you still want work with me but by this time by my side?” You smiled wider.
“Yes of course I will.” You then kissed her cheek making her blush “sorry to forward?” You chuckled out “no I quite like that.” She smiled in return, you finally felt happy to be with the woman you feel in love with and one day hoped to be officially called her girlfriend.

Hazbin Hotel Episode 1-4 Hot Takes! ~
They finally dropped. They are finally here, and I have A LOT to say. (Good & the bad, my opinions of course.)
Episode 1 was kinda boring and it just seemed overall weird and off. It didn't really pick back up that well, or align with the pilot too much, and the pilot slapped.
I feel like for those who haven't seen the pilot would be so confused with what is going on or who the characters even are. It feels like you also have to do a bit of digging to actually figure out other details.
I wasn't expecting to like Adam he was funny asf and I loved his singing. Love Alex Brightman he's great.
I can see what people are saying now when they were talking about the premise changing or being different, it definitely seems that way. It just feels like it's all over the place and there's multiple things happening at once. A bit confusing.
Charlie just looks weird to me I don't know why, I kinda like how she used to look.
Sir Pentious new voice is better. Again, love Alex Brightman. Lol.
Loser, Baby, Hell is forever, Poison, & Respectless are the best songs so far. Stayed Gone is ok too tho.
I'm interested in finding out why Lilith & Alastor were gone for like 7 years. I wonder where they went and it just makes me wonder if the war against heaven was possibly planned?? 🤔
I love Brandon Roger's but I didn't really like him as Katie Killjoy I think I liked the other VA. I just don't hear Katie, I hear Bryce Tankthrust.
I wish Vivzie designed Sir Pentious with more of a steampunk look since that's what era he's from so he's not wearing almost the same exact suit every other Overlord has.
Nifty is literally fucking iconic. I enjoyed her every time she was on screen even if it was for a short time. She's so funny.
I was expecting Vox & Valentino to have deeper voices but they still sounded great.
Velvette fucking ATE I was pleasantly surprised by her. I love her so much. She's my favorite of the VVV's and her singing is so good.
Charlie & Vaggie's fight wasn't that impactful, it kinda just came out of nowhere and seemed like something that should have happened way later. It didn't even seem like such a big deal either to be an argument.
I don't really like Vox as a person for letting Valentino treat Angel Dust the way he does. Just trash. He has to know about it.
Vox is just too obsessed with Alastor. He wants his cock soooo bad it's kinda crazy. It's the most fakest beef ever. Bad meat.
I like the new VA's they're amazing, but I do really miss the old ones. Most of them.
I think Vaggie's singing is better than Charlie's and that's fucked up because singing is like her whole thing.
Camilla killing the Angel wasn't that impactful because we don't really know who she is.
I don't really care to know how they will be trying to redeem people...idk I always thought that those parts would be boring.
So far I don't think the show was worth a 4 year wait....
Huskerdust WILL be canon at this rate. They might just be the best couple.
Charlie should have lit Valentino's ass up for treating Angel Dust the way he was. She shouldn't have listened to Angel and just fucked him up. Stop crying omfg!
I get that Husk & Angel are like in the same boat & all but....is being Alastor's minion really as bad as being constantly knocked around by Valentino?

They are Sinners, Not Heartless
What I love about Hazbin Hotel is the relationships we see. Either romantic, friendly to found family.
The show is about sinners going about their day in Hell. By all means, the worst of mankind, all converge in a singler area of depriverity. It easy to walk into to show expecting characters to be cutthroat, out for themselves and just be heartless to everyone.
But because a person has committed sins, doesn't mean the soul lack the greater qualities of mankind. That the soul can be a fairly decent person but wasn't virtuous enough to pass divine judgment. Or that a soul can commit heinous acts but can still have a heart.
It's interesting to watch the worst of mankind and watch them have some character growth. Or at least, witness the worst being grown to care about others.
Well start with Lucifer, the literlay king of Hell. The devil. But look how proud and adoring his daughter.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The sin of Pride, proud of his daughter.
Then you have the princess of Hell, who cares too much for everyone
Tumblr media
two people who found love in Hell.
Tumblr media
Then you have Sir Pentious who seem to have genuine feelings for Cherri and not driven by lust. Sacrificing himself to try to protect her and his friends.
Tumblr media
He loves his minions
Tumblr media
You have a group of sinners, one of them being a former overlord, who grew to care about each other and became a family. Trying to support and protect each other. Even Cherri who not in the main gang, risked her own life and safety to help Angel.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
look at Husk spreading his wings to shield the other two.
Tumblr media
Then you have the overlords, who are lead to believe are the worst of the sinners if they were able to use and kill other sinners others to climb there way to the top.
Tumblr media
I love Camilla.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Seriously how is no one talking about Camilla including Zestial that she'll keep him safe and protected.
You have the disrespecting little shits of the Vees even forming their own family. I originally thought they were only tolerating each other for business but then they regularly hang out and support each other and their interest.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tumblr media
I hate how cute they are! Were suppose to not love them...they are antagonist!
Then you have Alastor, the overlord who sins are most heinous that he feels no remorse for and in fact, is given pleasure from. Arguably meant to be the worst sinner we witness living in Hell so far. But then We see, that even the worst Sinner is shown to have heart.
Tumblr media
girl dad supporting his adoptive girl in the sidelines.
Tumblr media
They are so cute together
Tumblr media
Best platonic soulmates
Tumblr media
I just love how some of these characters are meant to be the most deplorable beings but still have hearts. That they stand by their love ones to protect and support. It brings me so much joy and heartwarming to watch.

okay so quick warning for very big spoilers if you haven't been able to see the newest eps of hazbin hotel, this is gonna he talking abt a major reveal that happened in eps 5 & 6 so just be warned
so, Alastor is on someone else's leash. woah. I was shocked and had to pause the ep to collect my thoughts. One question though, who? well forst let's talk abt who it couldn't be:
- Lucifer, they've clearly never met each other and started fighting as soon as they met
- any of the Vees, it would be funny but Alastor wouldn't be passing off Vox so much, Val would be using him the same way he uses everyone else, and I can't see Velvette keeping quiet abt having the Radio Demons soul
- anyone at the hotel, they're either owned by him, way less powerful than him or Charlie, who is just too nice
- any sinner, hellborn or otherwise local that is less than an overlord
so that only leaves a few alternatives.
- Another Overlord, which could work since the only people we see making deals like the one Alastor would be in, and while Alastor is described as powerful, this is only ever by sinners and Vaggie, who don't have much of anything else to compare him too, but when Alastor is with the other Overlords they brush him off, they're respectful to him but they're not scared and they're not trying to get in his good graces, they're not acting like you would expect power hungry demons would be around someone with so much more power than him. He's more of an equal, probably less since Camilla doesn't even care about him going missing, so he 100% could have been in danger, possibly at one of the exterminations or possibly another Overlord, and entered a deal to save himself
- One of the Sins, these guys are one of the only thing in hell more powerful than the Overlords, so even if Alastor is the most powerful Overlord in hell, the Sins could take him without a sweat, so they could enter a deal easily, the only thing is, what would a sin want from him?
- One of the Royals (Goetia) the thing about this one is that we don't see many of the royals, we see Stolas, who is too preoccupied with divorcing his wife and trying to un-neglect his daughter, and his father, who could be dead for all we know. We know Stolas has a lot of siblings, but again, we don't know what's happened with them. So my idea on this one is pretty much, one of Stolas's siblings grew jealous of him and entered a deal with Alastor to take him down, but that doesn't stand on much of a leg bc it kinda depends on Alastor getting beat by someone else to be put in enough of a vulnerable position to agree to give his soul away, and I see the other Overlords or one of the Sins being able to pull off, but not one of the Goetias
- Lilith. This one seems like the most likely to me (and others) bc of their matching timeliness, Alastor has been missing for 7 years and Lilith has been off doing something for 7 years, so it would make sense for Alastor to have just been with Lilith, possibly helping her, he also went straight to Charlie when he got back instead of wrecking havoc or trying to do something dramatic to announce his return, which could have been Lilith asking him to help take care of Charlie (it also explains how protective Alastor is of her when Lucifer comes to the hotel, Lilith could have told him things abt Lucifer that made him not like him) and in the whole series he's been doing whatever Charlie wants him to do, even filming himself, which is something he absolutely hates, just to help with the hotel and make her happy, Lilith is also the second most powerful being in all of hell, so she would have the power to make that deal and also destroy Alastor, or at least threaten to destroy him with the threat holding actual water.
- The Angels. This one is a little less likely than the Lilith one, but with what was happening in ep 6 i think it's plausible. My idea is that sometime before Alastor went missing (maybe even when he first manifested), an exterminator or maybe even Sera came down to hell and threatened him on pain of death to sell his soul and do their bidding, which would be to kill as many demons as possible. that one makes the most sense if it was back when he first started his killings, since it would give him the power to do what he did and also reason beyond him being a Dramatic Bitch(tm), and it could have been afterwards too, with an Angel seeing his potential and deciding to grab him before he could get out of hand. This would also tie in with the headless angel storyline they're doing, since now Alastor has proof an Angel can be killed it gives him a chance to get out of his deal which he very obviously doesn't like.
these are just a few of my thoughts, I do think the Lilith one is the most likely but I personally think the Angel one would be more fun? it would give us yet another perspective on how evil the angels actually are (so far we have it from the residents of hell and 2 past angels as well as Emily being disillusioned by what she learnt in ep 6, so I think it would be interesting to see how they treat the people they 'own') but do take in mind that I'm operating purely on what has been posted canonically (the og pilot from 2019, the prime show and helluva boss) so I could be contradicting things viv has said so feel free to correct me if any of these are just totally impossible

Prompt: Vox isn't told by Velvette or Valentino that Alastor is back, thus he's the one who goes to the overlord meeting. (Camilla instantly try's to warn him, and he thinks it's about the free orders he'd allowed her girls, and sidesteps her, grinning happily.)
Alastor on the other is pissed off. He's been spending his free time constantly in his mate's territory, and not a peep! Vox had agreed to be his before he'd left on his sabbatical, so why hadn't he reached out yet?
Vox sees Alastor and nearly flees--glitching and causing some lights to explode. Alastor's grin just grows bigger, because finally! His mate is here, he can see him, smell his sweet scent. Camilla gets everyone settled down, and things proceed with Vox barely holding on cause Alastor's doing Alastor shit. Then, like cannon Vox drops the Angel's can die shit...except Alastor takes as mating gift. "Rosie, he went and got me a great gift, and I haven't got him anything! I'm a horrible mate!" Que Alastor now frequently appearing at the Vee tower with gifts for Vox in an attempt to find something as perfect as the Angel's head.
It's not the best but I hope you enjoy it regardless!

Songs in Hazbin Hotel
I've noticed that in Hazbin Hotel, in each episode they have 2 songs (obviously), but of those two, one is a song for drama/plot and the other is a song for fun.
The fun ones tend to be like: simple message, more memorable lyrics, fast paced, the characters are enjoying themselves, has a catchy beat.
The Drama/plot ones tend to be like: hard to describe concept, intense feeling behind the song, song that changes a character in their arc/sets a scene, slow paced, maybe not as memorable lyrics, ballad.
Remember, these songs are styled off of Broadway songs, fun songs are there to describe a character, drama songs describe a scene or part of the story, the character's feeling in that moment.
Let's look at some examples;
Overture: The Opening act so to speak...
Happy day in hell: Drama song, Starts slow moving into a ballad, this song sets the scene and plot of the entire show, how Charlie has hope and optimism despite the terrible landscape, people and circumstances around her.
Hell is Forever: Fun song, Details Adam's character and establishes him as the villain, certified bop with a catchy beat. It could be argued that it establishes the ordeal of the season, but that's in the last 30 seconds, and more importantly, Adam is singing this to have fun and throw his weight around Charlie.
Radio Killed the Video Star: We meet our secondary antagonists and the plot moves forward.
Stayed Gone: Fun song, Made to establish the rivalry between Vox and Alastor, but that was established before hand. This is mainly a song of Alastor and Vox going at each other. It also has a fast pace, and is memorable quippage between the two characters.
It starts with Sorry: Drama song, Slow paced ballad establishing sir Pentious being accepted into the group.
Scrambled eggs: Showcases the other overlords, and hints at things to come down the line (I.e Alastor's scheming and the killable angels)
Respectless: Fun Song, Another Quarreling song with a fast pace, and characters moving to the rhythm, words having a bouncy effect.
Whatever it takes: Establishing Vaggie and Camilla's characters as well as their parallel, you might argue that makes it fun. Of course, the song is slow paced (ballad), and the characters are singing about how the desire to protect the ones they love (intense emotion), as well as their worry about what may come.
Masquerade: An episode covering Angeldust and his tragic life. This one was hard to determine, neither are ballads.
Poison: This song might be considered fun, as I've seen many covers and it's fast paced, good song to dance to. However, it also has Angel being very upset with his situation.
Loser, Baby: This one is slow paced, and has Angel comes to terms with the fact that he's not alone in his situation. However, he also is much happier than the song before.
I've got to say in the end though, I think Poison is the fun song, as it details an already prevalent situation describing Angel's life. Loser, Baby is the song for Drama as it details a main part of Angel's arc going forward (the begininng is like a ballad).
Dad beat Dad: An introduction to Charlie's father and previously mentioned Daddy's issues.
Hell's Greatest Dad: Obviously Fun song, it's a quarreling song, also borrowing elements from "Friend like me," Showcasing Lucifer's power as King and showing the main two men in Charlie's life compete for her attention.
More than anything: Obviously Drama song, very ballad song, this is where Lucifer and Charlie get into the deep seated reasoning behind their actions, showing how much they care about each other, by the end Lucifer decides to support Charlie's endeavors.
Welcome to Heaven: Introducing the other side the afterlife, the home realm of the antagonists, Charlie makes her case, and we learn the truth of Vaggie's origins.
Welcome to Heaven: Fun song, introducing everyone to the atmosphere that is heaven. How is this different from "Happy day in Hell"? It is faster, has a faster pace, and you can tell the voice of Saint Peter, Emily and Sera are enjoying themselves whilst singing, especially Darren.
You Didn't Know: Drama song, mainly slow paced, as truths are revealed and ethics are questioned. Mostly a ballad, except for Adam and Lute with aggressive words and rhythm, Much longer than the other song.
Hello, Rosie: Approach to the innermost cave, smoothing out the final wrinkles before the final act. Bonds are firmly established and a game plan is made.
Out for Love: Fun song, fast paced, establishes what we already know, Vaggie is and should be driven by her love for Charlie, as Camilla was driven by love for her daughters. Vaggie gets her wings back, but they don't play a huge role in the plot and are not discussed in the song.
Ready for this: Drama Song, starts slow and ballad-y, and not as fast paced as "Out for love." Mainly a song to attempt to recruit the army needed to fight the angels, as well as establish her cementing her drive to fight to protect her home. Also hints at Alastor's intentions, but that's negligible.
The Show must go on: The Final act... This one was also hard as both are ballads.
More than Anything reprise: Seeing as this is a reprise of a drama song, it might be drama as well as the characters detailing intense emotions, however the song is quite short and details what we already know.
Finale: This is mirrored to another Drama song, being "Happy day in Hell," but everyone seems to be enjoying themselves, of course it is longer.
In the end, I put "More than anything reprise" as Fun, because it doesn't give us anything except something for shippers. "Finale" I ended up classifying as the drama song because it is setting the final scene, and hinting at what's to come. It also showcases how far everyone has come, which is also plot related.

Hazbin Hotel - Thoughts and Rewrite
Having seen the first four episodes of Hazbin Hotel, and having been casually following the Hellaverse since the pilot (I have watched the shows but not consumed any outside material) - I have had a lot of thoughts about the storytelling of Hazbin Hotel so far. In discussing my thoughts and feelings with @ekholocationn I ended up having some ideas on how I would handle the overall arc and plot of the show to make for a tighter narrative and address some of the flaws I found with the work.
This is very much a broad strokes kind of rewrite at this point, and trying to stay relatively true to what has been presented to us so far - it mostly involves shuffling things around and reorganising/refocusing the plot.
The main complaint with the plot of the show is that the Heaven plotline feels rushed and the cards are being played too soon, what feels like it should be a twist is laid bare in the first episode and furthermore it undermines the very purpose of the Hotel and Charlie's plan. Heaven as not merely an antagonistic, but an actively villainous force, feels like it's come too soon - and the way it's being explored isn't really satisfying. Camilla's reluctance to fight is difficult to justify, where Velvette, who is arguably framed as a villain, seems to be onto something and correct.
Speaking of Velvette however, her and the Vee's are what I feel are the shows strongest aspect at this point. These are villains that have incredibly strong personality and presence, and moreso, personal connections and investment to the cast at the hotel. Vox and Velvette's songs are some of my favourites, and Valentino is shown to be a serious threat to Angel and his potential for redemption.
This in mind, in my rewrite of the show, Season 1 of Hazbin Hotel would cast the Vee's as the primary antagonists to the hotel, and leave the angel's in heaven and their villainy as a mystery and twist reveal for later in the show.
Charlie has no reason to believe her plan won't work, in fact, she has a powerful Overlord as a benefactor - who while he seems to be a little disparaging, is still putting resources into her project. She is doing what she can to try and rehabilitate these sinners, however, the Vee's want to see this project fail and become active threats to the Hotel. Vox, because of his rivalry with Alastor, and Valentino because he wants to keep control of angel. The primary tension is the push and pull between Charlie as a force of redemption and light, and the Vee's as a representation of temptation, vice and hell's worst qualities trying to keep the sinners down. Charlie does not meet with Adam and the angels in Episode 1, rather, she is seen to be optomistic and hopeful, and Heaven is kept as this guarded mystery and protectors of order and goodness.
What about Velvette the other Overlords, and the angels though? I greatly enjoyed Respectless, and I don't want to snub Velvette, who is clearly a powerful villain in her own right. I don't want to completely erase the plot of the exterminated angel and Heaven's violence from the show. I would keep the scene of the Overlords meeting, and Velvette revealing the angel's severed head, however I would make a few tweaks. Firstly, this would be the first time we find out about the fact that an angel was killed - we are just as shocked as the other Overlords. Secondly, the Hazbin Hotel would be more of a point of discussion, and we would get a more overarching conflict between the Hotel and the Vees regarding what to do about the problem of Angel Extermination. Do we attempt to redeem sinners? Or do we just kill the Angels? I think for the purpose of this plot, the revelation that Heaven is moving up its extermination would coincide with the meeting of the Overlords, really being a trigger for it, and this episode would act as a midpoint - raising the stakes and introducing the broader conflict after a few episodes settling into the attempts fo the Hotel to redeem sinners and the Vee's attempts to intervene.
In this story rather than being the way the show opens, Charlie meeting with the angels would instead be a sort of climactic moment - and the revelation that Adam is a jerk and Heaven has no intention of letting sinners rise but instead wants to exterminate them would be a sort of Darkest Hour moment for Charlie. Her plan has failed, the Vee's are gaining more support... This way, there's been some build up, and the twist feels more like a twist - and it also feels like more of a gut-wrenching betrayal because both us and Charlie by this point would have investment in her plan and a hope that it might actually work.
I want to see how the show handles it's ending before I fully flesh out this rewrite, but for now this is the sort of broad strokes as to how I would approach structuring Hazbin Hotel if I were to rework it. I may or may not expand on these thoughts later when there is more material to work with! This post also does not touch on more nuanced topics such as the shows handling of sensitive issues and character arcs, it is more of a broad strokes analysis and retooling.
I thought it might be fun to share my thoughts and I hope people enjoy them! I would love to hear other peoples thoughts on this as well :)

A list of useless/extraneous Hazbin characters and how they could have been fixed.
1. Vox. He confronts Alastor and Alastor wins, but this victory doesn’t change anything so this was nothing, and all it did was get sir pentius to join the hotel except pentius doesn’t change the plot either. He could have been an obstacle to the hotel with his control over the media, and once Alastor took care of him the hotel would start getting costumers and one of them would be pentius, who is Vox’s double agent. Then his prescience matters.
2. Pentius is nice but he didn’t do anything. He was just sort of around and then almost did something but died first. They could have made his sacrifice mean something, paying off the fact that he had that machine, like maybe he crashes it into Adam, getting himself blown up but wounding Adam in the process. And his spying for Vox could make something happen, like if there’s an angel head he could report it to Vox and he could do
3. Velvette reveals the head and almost gets Camilla to confess it was her, but then she doesn’t and this scene comes to nothing aside from transitioning to revealing information that could have been revealed any other way. She could have started her own hell army and instigated the war, or joined Charlie in the final fight. That would fit with her motivations. She could maybe hack into the phones in heaven and present the extermination which would make more sense than Adam doing it for no reason, and would plunge heaven into conflict if everyone knew. Or her role could have gone to a character like Alastor, or Vaggie, or angel, or Cherri, like I said.
4. Husk. He’s just there for some reason until episode four where he resolves the conflict between Charlie and Angel instead of having her learn anything, like he doesn’t do anything. Nifty being comic relief who kills Adam for a joke, that’s fine. But Husk doesn’t even do that much but has a major role that was stolen from the protagonist. He could have been cut entirely. That’s what I think. Cut him, he’s boring and I don’t want to see where his bit is going. It would also remove the part where Angel is sexually harassing him.
5. Mimzy. She shows up, has a useless subplot, reveals information we already learned in the pilot, and left. We didn’t need to know anything we learned from her and we did not need the loan shark scene, it just makes Charlie’s character weirder. Mimzy could have actually decided to stay at the hotel, giving it more than one person staying at it.
6. Cherri bomb. She is in Angels subplot in episode six and in the pilot but doesn’t affect the plot in either of those. She supported Angel in the addict video, she could have replaced Husk. That would maybe transition into her checking into the hotel, once again making the hotel actually have people in it like a hotel should. She also could have replaced Velvette in instigating war, especially since she has a sympathetic reason to given how Angel being in hell means he’s entrapped by the porn industry and can’t escape.
7. Camilla. She mentors Vaggie in a way that doesn’t matter later because she didn’t have any established fighting struggles that needed resolution, and reveals information we could have inferred any other way. She set the plot in motion by accident then left again, like her role could have been replaced with a stray falling object vaggie has to find, or by Adam deciding to be a petty dick and double up the murder for no reason. Vaggie could have been the one to kill the Angel and then they’d know what did it and wouldn’t need Camilla at all, and it would matter for real. Or Adam could have, once again, decided to double up on extermination for no reason.
8. Rosie. She brings out an army of sinners as though there aren’t plenty of powerful characters who would already want a war somewhere else, like that useless fucking board of overlords that could have been part of Charlie’s army, and gives Charlie relationship advice that leads her to make a choice that she could have also made for herself by maybe talking to Vaggie, thinking about it herself, or venting to her already plot important dad who should probably know about the impending doom coming for his people.

Warning: This post will contain mentions of assault or anything along the lines of it. You get the idea.
My review for HH ep 2 was supposed to be out by now, but there are some things I have to say first. My reasoning for sticking around for Hazbin Hotel is all gone except for Vox right now. I love Husk too, but they really just kinda ruined him for me in ep 4. I'm probably being dramatic but that's just how I feel. If he's supposed to be this wise bartender who's meant to make people feel better and help reach an understanding of some sort, he really just failed at that.
EP 4 of Hazbin Hotel is probably the worst one out of all the eps released so far. There are PLENTY of flaws to point out, but they can be said for some other posts I'll upload soon. What I'm mainly concerned with as of now is that "Loser Baby" song sung by HuskerDust.
So it's revealed that Husk was once an overlord and was always gambling. He betted his status and powers when playing against Alastor and lost. Now I guess he's forced to do whatever Alastor wants such as being a bartender. . . .
Sorry to get off topic here but. . . . Husk was an overlord??? I don't like how they just suddenly reveal that. It caught me off guard. I know they sorta foreshadowed it in the pilot, but they should've given most newcomers to the show a hint or something. It honestly feels like the writers just pulled that revelation out their asses just to add some positivity and similarity between Angel and Husk's relationship (because Viv and the fans just love idea of this ship oh so much)
Also, since he was previously an overlord, how come nobody's heard of him??? Everybody will get shocked when they hear or see Alastor or recognize him by his radio shows. Everybody knows the Three Vs, Camilla, etc. but not a Husk??? The Overlord with a gambling addiction?? Charlie and Vaggie will get shocked when Alastor comes in the picture but look at Husk like he's some random dude that just popped outta nowhere?
Plus, Alastor didn't force Husk to work as a bartender. In the pilot, he was easily convinced with cheap booze.
Speaking of his gambling addiction; well we all know he likes to gamble judging by his appearance. But gambling being his addiction?? Since when was that implied?
Anyway . . . . At this point, I don't get what the idea of that song is or what Husk meant by it. Maybe I am overlooking it, but its pretty hard not to believe knowing how Viv screws up her writing skills and how she went about it. According to all the Viv defenders, the song was meant to say Angel isn't alone in being stuck in a situation he feels he can't get out of and that Husk can understand where he's coming from and what he's going through. Well sorry to burst y'all's bubble, but even if that was, they just did wrong ENTIRELY. (Sidenote: If you Hazbin lovers wanna see it how u see it, then fine. But Imma stick with what I believe and there's nothing that could be said to change my mind, so don't bother trying to correct me.)
Husk makes it seem like he knows exactly what it's like being in Angel's shoes; signing a contract and being forced to do something against his will. That part seems to be the only thing they have similar. Except what happened with Husk in the past should NOT count as a similarity!
Husk: Loses a bet against Alastor, costing his soul and status as an overlord. Agrees to commit to Alastor's biddings apparently, including being a bartender for a hotel (which he wasn't really forced to do. He doesn't seem to be afraid in refusing Alastor's requests. I partially don't even believe it was apart of the deal to do what Alastor wanted)
Angel: Is a pornstar. Forced to be a pornstar and do whatever Val wants him to do. Including submitting to him and his sexual needs, getting beaten, r8ped, assaulted (sexually even), exploited, drugged, etc.
What part of Angel's problem should Husk be understanding? Alastor doesn't beat or r8pe Husk! It's never even revealed what Husk goes through with Alastor. I doubt it's anything bad on his part, since he clearly isn't afraid to talk smack to the powerful radio demon who could kill him in an instant. They just . . . had that past and now Husk is doing him a permanant favor. What Husk is doing now isn't even anything bad. He's working as a bartender for a hotel and is being paid to do it. He may not like, but it's nothing bad. What ANGEL is going through on the other hand?? The word "bad" doesn't even begin to cover it.
Husk may not know what Angel goes through (though he should connect the dots since Angel hinted at him when he revealed he gets drugged all the time) but Angel just full on agreeing with him and accepting that he's a loser for what he goes through and having to embrace his situation????
Ummm . . . . NO!
Bro! You just saw Angel about to get drugged!! He should NOT have to accept that!!
