This is my other Dead End: Paranormal Park as Beetlejuice fanart for this Halloween, with Norma Khan as Lydia Deetz joining Barney as Beetlejuice.

I think Lydia's character of seeing the paranormal and connecting with someone like Beetlejuice would fit really well for Norma considering the whole supernatural theme in the Dead End franchise.

Why did 2023 have to start so terribly for the animation folk?

First, The Owl House. The entire episode gets leaked by Disney itself. Leaving Dana Terrance (@danaterrace ) helpless. This is the second time s3 was sabotaged.

Second, Inside Job gets canceled. Just after new episodes dropped. It's heartbreaking knowing that those characters won't get their well deserved happy ending.

And now, Dead End Paranormal Park. I remember watching it the day season 1 dropped. I remember how happy everyone was hearing about s2. How it got the chance to even be produced. Checking @hamishsteele 's bolg looking for updates. Going through tumblr after binge-watching it, checking whose theories were correct.

I will never be able to express how angry I am knowing that all these stories won't get the ending they deserved. How finishing them was taken away from the creators. How we were robbed of seeing what happens next.

All I can say is I'm sorry. Sorry for the creators, writers, animators, voice actors, everyone who put their whole soul into these stories. It hurts me that our, as fans, love wasn't enough to convince 'the above'.

Thank you for putting the worlds you made in your head out there, for everybody to enjoy, and I wish for you and myself, that the animation industry gets its deserved recognition and justice.

Here's my Halloween fanart for this year, with Barney Guttman from Dead End: Paranormal Park dressed up as Beetlejuice from the Beetlejuice musical.

Both Dead End and the Beetlejuice musical have Alex Brightman portraying "evil" demonic characters, with Temeluchus (who possessed and voiced Pugsley) in Dead End and the titular Beetlejuice in the musical. However, I drew Barney as Beetlejuice instead because I thought he fit Alex's frame better. And fun fact: Alex used his Beetlejuice voice when he voiced Temeluchus in the show.

My headcanons for this are either 1) Barney watched Beetlejuice and wanted to dress up as him for Halloween, or 2) Temeluchus possessed him and made him act and dress like someone who happened to resemble Beetlejuice.
