i'm having some thoughts about Aziraphale telling Gabriel 'You came to me, I said I would protect you. And I will.' and Gabriel replying with 'You don't need to. I'm going out.' I'm thinking about how Gabriel can reduce any further suffering by giving himself up once he realises it's only him they want. How hiding away in the bookshop will only prolong the inevitable. I'm thinking about Crowley telling Aziraphale that they can be an us, that they can go off together. I'm thinking about Aziraphale going to Heaven anyway, because he thinks that he can make a difference. I'm thinking about Aziraphale saying 'I would love you to help me. But if you won't, you won't.' I wonder if Aziraphale needs a partner, not a protector, and how they can only really be an 'us' when they don't have to hide.

I think my big issue with the Lance/Ricciardo crash during the Chinese GP is that Lance doubled down that it absolutely was not his fault. He fucked up. He didn't brake and launched Danny into the air. That's just the facts.
He ruined his race, Danny's race, Hulkenberg's race, and Piastri's race. And he can't be bothered to take responsibility. Accidents happen. But for goodness sake, you've gotta own up to it my dude.

“Jake and the Never Land Pirates” ended 7 years ago today.
#Disney#disney Jr.#Disney junior#jake and the neverland pirates#jake and the never land pirates#Childhood#childhood shows#nostalgia.....#nostagia#The experience watching this show was my canon event - You could document the exact time my brain was rewired when I was watching this#As a kid#It was the first Disney show I ever watched and ironically was the first Disney Jr show to ever exist#Which low key got me into other Disney shows like Sofia the 1st#Handy Manny#and The Lion Guard#That lead to me also discovering many Disney movies that aired on the block#It also lead to my old Peter Pan hyperfixation that died out#Like butterfly effect is the most precise emotion that comes to mind when thinking about it#I also had the biggest crush on Peter Pan’s shadow when I was 8 so there’s that#It’s such an underrated show yet it doesn’t be because Disney Jr pretty much wouldn’t exist without it. It was the basically the big sister#of a lot of other Disney jr shows there#If Sofia the 1st and Wordgirl can get sudden bursts of popularity online so should Jake and the Never Land Pirates#I remember when the show aired its last episode but they didn’t announce it (bc the show was cancelled ahead of time)#and I deadass waited 2 whole years for new episodes to air only to find out it was cancelled#That was my second canon event#I still HATE the cliffhanger they ended the show on#We don’t talk about that…#We don’t talk about Season 4 either lol#I know this show was probably loooong forgotten but I really hope that Disney Jr decides to bring back re-runs of the show#because of how integral it was to its existence - I get that most of the kids who watched the show are adults but still would be really coo

Glinda and Fiyero mirror each other.
They each say they’re prefect, and the other is perfect so they must be perfect together, when that’s simply an illusion, a facade put up by both, when in reality they’re both missing what the other one has. (would be better split up to find what they both respectively need. Like a Mike and Eleven in Stranger Things situation.)
Fiyero, i’m not the first to point out, is depressed. he needs not the love from another, he knows how to feel that and can easily, he needs to find out how to love himself.
Glinda is the opposite. She knows how to love herself, how to see herself as worthy, but she craves love from someone else, someone who can understand her. she calls out to this at the very beginning of the musical.
Fiyero doesn’t need Elphaba, and their relationship doesn’t really work or beyond the reading of easy romance. They don’t allow each other to grow, which both of them need to do to be happy, in my opinion.
Fiyero doesn’t need someone else, he needs to find himself and escape his spiral of consuming boredom and nothingness. (His purpose will be to reunite Oz, he’s the scarecrow! but that’s unimportant at the moment)
Glinda however needs Elphaba. she’s the only one who can see through her and who knows her. Elphie can love Glinda and Glinda will finally feel it.
None of their stories are done where the musical ends.

(Glinda and Fiyero only build upon their facades, and can never see each other, and Elphie and Fiyero pull each other back stuck in a relationship, not allowing each other to grow, where Glinda and Elphaba have “changed” each other, in the way that they both finally feel seen, and feel loved like neither has been able to feel before.) the thing about andor season 1 being a moses arc is that cassian andor literally is moses. once you mention that moses’s rise to leader serves as scaffolding to almost every major character moment for cassian well you just can’t unsee it
#cassian andor#even the changes i'm still hmm on#his backstory is so extremely moses coded! there's a foreign woman who takes him from his culture and people and language#he might live because of it but his perpetual cycle of fleeing and exile and exodus starts as a child#she gives him a new name and takes his past#as an adult he kills the guard(s)#he flees into the wilderness#he becomes a shepherd (even if its just undercover)#his people are living in the house of slavery#he becomes a prisoner#he uses water- small and massive unthinkable amounts of flowing water- to lead an entire prison revolt#he ends up in exile and diaspora again and again#and the season ends with a miniature exodus of his comunity from ferrix with bix and brasso and jezzy and wilmon and b2emo#but on a meta level like: this entire season is cassian at the burning bush#he's a man with unclean lips who neither thinks himself worthy of being the hand of deliverance#nor does he think exodus is possible#like even that very meta arc change from dyed in the wool born revolutionary to good man in constant exile who finally turns and faces the#burning bush#that is MOSES coded. i don't know how to feel about those changes but i DO love the idea that#it's cassians' imperfections and time as an ordinary man among the people that give him the radical empathy and experience precisely to#/become/ this leader I OF UNCLEAN LIPS etc#also well does he ever reside in the promised land
