I have a question and, not that I put any stock in a single word that comes out of goob's mouth, but something he said had me curious:

That's possible, but I'm not convinced. Telluride film festival just makes sense with Jensen looking for financiers for his bounty film. It'd be stupid to not go home for it.

ye, working title, not final. He's working on a concept with some friends that's basically a lil bit deadpool, a little bit soldier boy that did way too many lines.

Now, I know that TW isn't out yet, but its not hard to see that they struggled to get investors. And as the first showing out from CM... that's not really a great look for him or his production company, especially for a property like spn that should have been a much easier sell. Now will this effect how his ability to get investors in the future? LIke, say this weird ass "bounty film" is real (or take any of the projects he keeps mentioning he's working on, many starring himself ofc) and he wants to get investors, are they going to look at CM, TW and be wary to give him money? Or if he has a decent enough pitch will it not matter? I guess I'm just wondering how much, or if TW will have a negative effect on him getting investors etc in the future?

Have you ever been to a hospital with a life-threatening injury and thought, "My neighbor is great with a needle and thread, I think I can save some cash and go to the neighbor instead."  No?  Well, that's what I think every time I see The Winchester trailer pop into my dash.  No, not because I think TW looks cheap, but rather because Jensen does not appear to be interested in the day-to-day business know-hows of the industry.  Like most celebrities, he prefers to stick his name and face on a product, let others do the work, and reap in his percentage of the profit participation.  And that's fine, a lot of people are not into the mundane day-to-day administration.  But as "owner" of a production company then Jensen should at least have hired a great entertainment lawyer who would have guided him through structuring the CM company (which will affect how you raise money), the contracts, shareholders agreements, and distribution rights that would help your investors recoup their money.

I think investors shied away not because the idea of The Winchesters was bad, but because whoever pitched the idea to them didn't do a good job convincing them that they'll see their money again.

Then the marketing of TW, oh boy.  Let's use Amazon's abysmal marketing strategy for Rings of Power, which massively insulted canon and the OG LotR fans.  In contrast House of Dragon doubled down on canon of GoT and didn't insult the OG GoTfans.  The Winchesters insulted canon and then Jensen's approach to promoting TW is either ignoring it or insulting the OG SPN fans, which is heavily made up of Sam/Jared fans. Despite Amazon's claim that 25 million viewers "sampled" the first two episodes of Rings of Power, third-party data from Samba puts RoP's viewership much, much lower, like around 10%. 

Jensen either needs a new team or he needs to listen to his team.
