I have this fic idea that under Starscream's reign as Chancellor, executions are still common and legal, even if he has acquitted Megatron. When Starscream and Megatron get together, Megatron is able to come up with a deal with Starscream that allows Megatron to rehabilitate prisoners on death row and if it turns out they can be reformed then Starscream will lessen their sentence.

Starscream grudgingly accepts, which leads to Megatron opening up numerous rehabilitation practices for prisoners.

#the gag is starscream kinda liked executions but he has to be 'good' because megatron is a goody two shoes post lost light #so no more dressing up pretty to see executions and make them a party #megatron is always successful with rehabilitation #megastar #starscream #megatron #all megatron has to do is soft talk starscream because his deep and soft voice will make starscream go feral

father hans you are the best worst old man to me (yes more than old jochen). i love how the game tries to give him some depth without shying away from his actions

heavy discussion of the apostasy route ahead

so, yeah, he's very zealous in his religious beliefs.

but despite (or maybe because of) his strong convictions, he cares a lot for kieferberg, even if only out of moral obligation:

i mean, he has the decency to feel a little guilty about the supernatural terrors he puts the town through:

that very religious zeal, unfortunately, also makes him willing to have any of kieferberg's residents burnt at the stake for the sake of the town's "salvation". ironic, then, that in the same letter that he condemns walpurga's followers he starts with this:

his well-meaning, yet extremist religiosity is also apparent in his relationship with elise. even with the clear animosity on both sides, he was genuinely concerned for elise's soul after learning about how holle had her in the first place:

...as that concern later turns into condemnation:

yet he doesn't even word it as something he looks forward to either. just something unfortunate that needs to be done.

the way he tries to keep the peace throughout the game and is actually one of the more vocally skeptical among the townsfolk (even if part of that is to diffuse suspicion towards his own experiments) is also interesting considering how his religious beliefs enable him to do genuinely terrible things. like he believes that his god has no problems with him burning people alive but also he wants to be absolutely sure that there's an actual witch to burn in the first place. he is simultaneously the personification of everything wrong with kieferberg and one of the few (aside from gustav, leb, and freya) who are barely keeping the village together

#little goody two shoes #lgts #father hans' study #tangential but while father hans is the worst manifestation of the dangers of religious extremism #kieferberg as a whole is just tragic #even when you understand why elise wants to get out so badly #talking to the townsfolk also reveals that they're just people doing their best #given that kieferberg's a small and somewhat remote village #i also get why they would rely on superstition and their religious leader to explain or rationalize what's happening to them #when you feel so small compared to the overwhelming horror of nature that could consume you at any moment #why wouldn't you grasp for any semblance of an explanation #especially from someone like father hans #stern yes but he at least gives off an air of authority #idk i guess that's just the appeal of kieferberg's small town horror?#i love how this game takes place from elise's perspective but i can't help but sympathize with the villagers anyway #i won't overlook how harmful their mindsets are but they're not just one-dimensional bigoted set-pieces either #planning to talk more about that eventually

Hi, thanks for the message!

I loved drawing, chose Art at every school track I could, did a multi-discipline art & design degree and then trained on a video game art with a focus on concept and 2D.

However, no studio ever responded to me past the application stage and I had no industry contacts. I didn't have experience, so no one hired me, so I never got experience.

So I decided to advertise my commission services as an illustrator and I've been earning an income doing that ever since.

My advice to you is network- politely, respectfully, and actively. Communicate with people and share your work, build your skills. I can't tell you how to get an industry job because I never could, but if you take the first step in sharing your work on social media or art sites like artstation, that's half the battle.

Excerpt from The Nice and Accurate Good Omens TV Companion:

Eleven years later, on his return to the scene of the diabolical switcheroo, this time with Aziraphale in tow, Crowley finds himself in a very different setting. Gone are the Satanic Nuns of the Chattering Order of St. Beryl’s and their movements in the shadows. Now, with St. Beryl’s never having risen from the ashes, they find the building transformed. Instead, the demon and his angelic associate walk into Tadfield Manor, which has been converted into a venue for office teambuilding away days. Across the manor grounds, an interdepartmental paintball skirmish is in full swing. Naturally, in the presence of such entities, the exercise becomes something altogether more dangerous and deadly.

“Michael Ralph [production designer] did a fantastic job of transforming the forecourt outside the building by dressing it as a battle zone,” says [first assistant director] Cesco Reidy. “We had military vehicles, camouflage nets and an obstacle course. It really was fit for purpose as an adventure playground for grown-ups with guns.”

In order to make the most of the conflict and the chaos that ensues, Douglas Mackinnon and the director of photography, Gavin Finney, called in the high-speed Phantom camera.

“You see it used on football replays, shooting a ridiculous number of frames per second,” explains script supervisor Jemima Thomas. “We wanted to see the paintballs flying as Crowley and Aziraphale walk through in super slow mo, and we staged and choreographed it carefully so they didn’t get splattered.”

While the pair depart without a mark on them, leaving bedlam in their wake, there’s no escaping the enormity of the task they face. For the Antichrist is missing, and Armageddon a matter of days away.

Note

Earthspark should do a Halloween episode. And a Thanksgiving episode. And a Christmas episode. Given that the Terrans are interested in learning a lot about Earth culture, it would be a missed opportunity if we don't actually get an episode of each holiday, and I can see some interesting plot ideas for each one. The Halloween one could have the Terrans meeting some more of the kids in Witwicky or Philadephia who are Robby and Mo's friends. The Thanksgiving episode could actually introduce more of the extended Malto family, or have a small cameo of a Transformer balloon at the not-Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade or Optimus having to pardon a turkey. The Christmas one could explore the different celebrations at that time of year, maybe have the Terrans experience snow for the first time, or have them meet Santa Claus or whatever. Earthspark is just good for a bunch of holiday centric episodes.

I saw the words "introduce more of the extended Malto family" and my first thought was LET THE TERRANS MEET THEIR GRANDPARENTS IF THEY NOW HAVE ANY

Give us the most loving grandparents that seem like they came out of a kids cartoon to the already rich in mentor / familial figures Terrans. Because I think that would be sweet and hilarious as hell.

I feel like a Halloween episode would be a rather good detective episode too ngl (that or an episode involving Tarantulas again!)

Also the Maltobots experiencing snow for the first time!

Okay the idea of Optimus getting to pardon a turkey gives me the image of him literally carrying around a turkey everywhere the entire episode, and he either gives it a goofy name or a funnily formal name.

I'd love love love to see more of Alex and Dot's life before they got involved with the transformers (at the least stuff from before the war ended), and them meeting with family and doing all the holiday stuff is a perfect opportunity

They probably wouldn't even dare do it in canon but I just got the lovely idea of someone trying their best to get Megatron and Optimus under the mistletoe

Hell I don't care if it's some generic funny in universe holiday, considering how we saw mother's day I feel like that's less likely, but it'd be still fun because it conveys what I'm focusing on myself: the sense of family and learning new things we see consistently throughout the series with the Maltos.
