I didn't manage to get this done for day 1 of @glimbowweek so happy late birthday to Bow. I think it kind of fits Day 7: Domestic too.

I'm not sure how well the text will show on all devices so I have individual panel versions under the cut with the text in the image descriptions.

Based on my own attempts at decorating cakes. I don't like the icing to be too thick, so I roll it so thin it rips when I'm trying to put it on.

...and another thing there's these parallels between sets of characters ALL OVER THE PLACE and at every turn the narrative is using them to show you how people's circumstances drive them into the same kinds of feelings, and the same kinds of reactions, and how those also DIFFER because of someone's circumstances. Like holy shit PRINCESS PROM???? Glimmer's insecure attachment style is a clear parallel to Catra's, and this episode does this EPIC JOB of avoiding beating you over the head with that parallel by giving Catra a CUNNING PLAN that gives her so much of an upper hand that you don't see her doing what Glimmer is doing.

And you see how Glimmer and Bow's relationship is strained but mostly undamaged precisely because they are in a safer, better place than Catra.

It's all! Just! So! INTERESTING aaaa

Bow and Glimmer are childhood friends who grow up in the Horde. But everything changes when Bow makes the decision to leave and find somewhere where he fits in. He didn't want leave her but he wasn't happy. This causes Glimmer into downward spiral, where she feels like she has to prove to Bow that she can be happy without him.
