Do yall ever think about how the show takes place over a few months? I think about that dayly and how it makes literally no sense..

Like i get quick friendship but Chat Noir and Ladybug are a bond of like 3 years. Same with Marinette and Alya, honestly they act like childhood friends more. The only ones that act appropriately for how long theyve known eachother is Nino and Adrien. And youre telling me Marinette is *that* obsessed over Adrien after a month or 2??

Its not just relationships either its hawkmoth and the city too. Most of the time it feels like an issue going on for years but then we find out that theyre barely done with the first quarter? Wtf?? Like dont get me wrong i dont want paris under brutal attack by this crazy old man everyday for 3 years but like, it definitely couldve been paced *way* better.

Like he attacks sparsly at first and then after a bit it gets more common and then mayura is added in and then hes like doubling up attacks every day. Or y'know they actually defeat Hawkmoth in a timely manner instead of dragging it out for 5 seasons. Idk im just rambling atp

So in each season, grian has made a shop that sells random but useful item. And in previous seasons, it has always been some form of transport, something that moves. The wagon in season 6, the barge in season 7, the train in season 8, etc. But in season nine, he has the entity. Given the pattern of previous seasons, it would make sense for the entity to be able to move and perhaps provide transportation, despite being an eldritch rock. In this essay I will-

It is 2am and I'm comforting my puppy who decided she hated being alone downstairs (normally she's fine about it) and I find myself thinking about the discourse regarding "unalive" as a term "the kids" use.

If I might ramble a moment there seem to be people who hate the word with a blinding passion and others who take a "let kids have their thing you jaded prick".

Personally I don't have a lot of issues with it day to day. However what I dislike about it is not the use but the origins.

Teenagers are some of the fastest communicators on the planet, a new trend can take off in 24 hours around the world. They invent slang all the time, it comes and goes with blistering speed and much of it is stupid - not negative, but silly, whimsical, ridiculous. I remember the dumbest slang my generation/school had, it was awful, but it's word play, it's a kind of folklore and linguistic experiment at the same time.

And that's the key. Folklore has no known source. You might figure out the general time it comes about, and study the trends around it, but you'll never find the first person to create it.

But with unalive, we know the source. It's tiktok and its craven determination to appeal to advertisers. It's not a fun spin on communication that sprang up naturally, it's a limitation placed on people who want to use the app, for the sake of capitalism and greedy money makers who don't care about anything but money.

That is, imo, antithetical to the concept of slang and lived folklore that develops out of specific regions and places, and that is the problem. If teens just developed it as a part of their culture and communication style, it'd annoy the people who bitch and moan about kids these days, but is community doing it's natural social thing.

The issue with unalive and other slang that comes from tiktok restrictions is it isn't coming from the ground troops and climbing the ranks, it's top down oppressive language restrictions on issues that matter that have been deemed too controversial for advertising.

Slang is natural, inevitable and something you cannot stop, nor should we try. It's also something that has been heavily impacted by the internet in how it works.

But unalive? That is not slang. It's Newspeak, and we should resist what it stands for with all our heart.

You are not as you were a decade ago, five years ago, a year ago. There are passageways in your brain and building new ones take time. Don't mistake your stumbles for lack of progress, recognize them and realize you are paces farther than you were before.

Perfection is a myth. A bar you will never reach and changes hands so often that you will always feel that you are shattered, broken, and unwanted. This is what they want. They are determined to silence you. Do not give in.

The faceless beings are fickle things and will delight in your suffering and gnash their teeth at your success. They feast on insecurity and circle it like hunters.

Be not the fly in this modern web, stuck in place by the expectations placed upon you. They seek your magic and joy and glory in destroying it for their own gain.

Acknowledge your faults and relinquish your shackles. They cannot chain your burdens if they are too small to hold.

I don't know who needs to read this but please warn parents to do their research before letting them see the upcoming fnaf movie. Fnaf isn't suitable for kids in the first place and the movie will be wildly inappropriate for them.

I'm an avid horror fanatic and I love scary movies based on Games like fnaf but we don't want another slender man issue because parents aren't aware of the things their kids watch.

Mostly because the creators shouldn't have to deal with your Karen ass all because your kid got scared or you didn't know what the movie in question is about.

They're gonna go all out with this movie, from what I heard, Children will be brutally murdered and shoved in animatronic suits, Karen. Don't like the story don't take your kid to it. No matter how much they beg.

If I see my 3rd-grade students at the theatre that's on you, not me.

All in all, Teach your kid the difference between fiction and reality as well as be aware of what they're doing online. You may find that the game of silly animal animatronics isn't as innocent as they're letting on.

Now if you're a full-grown adult and teenager seeing the movie I could care less, You know what's up. But for those who are 10 and younger, y'all need to not go see that movie unless your parents know what's in it.

Going in blind isn't fun and sometimes 'better asking for forgiveness than permission' isn't always the right way to go.

my point may be invalid but whatever. Just don't take your 7 year olds to see the movie, that's all I have to say.

When describing her blink spell, Cleo mentioned being a “natural time witch”

And i know she probably means it as like. That’s a spell that she has naturally as a time witch, but. It does bring up an interesting possibility

Are the unnatural witches? Like, some witches gain their magic naturally, like Joey, but not all witches are like that. Take Scott for example - I’m assuming he wasn’t always a necromancer, but he learned magic in order to achieve a certain goal

And maybe doing magic that didn’t naturally come to you, while possible, takes a greater toll on your body. Scott seems to be withering away more than a natural necromancy witch might. An unnatural time witch might seem to fade in and out of reality more so than a natural time witch like cleo

And this could apply to any sort of magic that didn’t come naturally, even if one were a natural witch of a different magic. Like Joey is a natural fire witch, but what if he’s not a natural frost witch, and so the ice magic takes a greater toll on his body than the fire magic.

And i can only imagine that having more types of magic means a greater effect on the physical body because there’s only a certain amount of magic that a person can safely contain and use
