So I've been rewatching the Science Expo episode and I've found out a few things!
1. The judge's name is Alcott St. Croix, something I've never paid enough attention to notice before (I did hear "yada yada Master Scientist Dr. [???] St. Croix" in the episode, but only in this rewatch did I realize his name was literally written down in a poster HA)
2. Also while rewatching this episode I came to re-think about how sus Fernanda Pizazzo and him are. Like. Look at me. Look at me in the eye and tell me that this gorgeous young woman would call THAT GUY a, quote: "Handsome morsel" WHILE LOOKING FLIRTY without a reason.
Let us remember that the competition was clearly bribed because even St. Croix himself was interested in Varian's invention in the episode, yet only paid attention to her mediocre work.
Either love truly is blind or there is something fishy going on and lemme tell you folks, these two give me the strong vibe of "college student sleeping with her professor for grades". My best bet is that the competition had an actual prize besides a fancy first place blue ribbon, and Pizazzo did what she had to (😳) in order to get it.
At least that was my theory until I saw that THEY'RE STILL TOGETHER IN THE FINALE I'M IN TEARS ?!?!!!
WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?!!
So anyway after I had a mental breakdown about Stalyan and Brock Thunderstrike (aka the Flynnposter) staying together in the finale (BWAHDHAHSH GENIOUS), now I can have another mental breakdown about the fact that one of my favorite side characters is probably sleeping with the man who looks like a giant egg with toothpicks for legs! Funny times everyone
Oh and also!
3. I spent the majority of this episode hearing that "the Rock sus meme" in the background for multiple reasons AHSHDHWHDHHW

part of my nimona viewing experience. idk why but i got super emotional in the first five minutes.
