“Oh I forgot to tell you..” Your father spoke taking a drink from his beer. “I invited a friend, Graves.” He finished. Your eyes widen at the mention, your father had unintentionally invited your boyfriend. It wouldn’t be such a problem if one your relationship with graves was not something your father would be fond of and two he wasn’t almost 10 years older than you.
You shared a look with your older sister her already looking at you, she knew. She’s known but this she wanted to laugh at how scared you looked. “It’s been awhile since I’ve seen him, he still workin’ in the air?” Your brother asked.
You finished your beer off removing yourself from the conversation they started grabbing your sister by the hand taking her back into the beer garden with you. Finally getting away from your family you looked at your sister “Im gonna actually off myself, Nessa WHY IS THIS HAPPENING.” You groaned your hands running down your face.
She laughed no that bitch fucking howled “This is fuckin amazing. Holy shit.” She slapped her hand landing on your shoulder.
“Daddy invited, yo lil boyfriend!”
“I hate you.”
“Yeah but at least you’re finna get laid tonight.” She continued laughing.
You internally scream as you paid for your beer, the two of you returning to your family through the crowd of people. Upon returning there the cowboy stood conversatating with your parents. His eye found your after hearing your mother call your name “You remember Phillip right?” You mother asked.
You nodded “Mmhm I remember him.” Smiling at him as he returned a smile, god.. He looked good in a cowboy hat, his shirt tucked into his dark wrangler’s a silver buckle and his square toed boots.. mmm you would mind taking him here but unfortunately your parentals were present.
“Babygirl how bout you show Philip to the beer garden, we’ll meet y’all at our seats yeah?” Your father spoke handing you two tickets. You gave your father a look, “your sister can go with yall if you’re shy babygirl.” He teased.
You rolled your eyes “common cowboy.” You said turning around. Phillip gladly following behind you after being for sure out of sight Graves came up behind you his and resting his hand on your hip his thumb going through your belt loop.
“Whats wrong doll.” He teased placing a soft kiss on your neck.
“Umm just that my Father invited my boyfriend who is seriously of limits to me in his perspective.” You spoke you hand holding his wrist.
“Scared we’ll get caught pretty girl. Common, ‘otta have s’more faith in me.” He said making you both stop facing eachother his calloused hands resting above your low rises on the bare skin, his face leaning in close a greedy smirk displayed on his face.
“Maybe because my father with actually kill you and burn your body in a foreign country.” You smiled letting your hands run down his chest slowly nails dragging slightly.
“Mmm probably but lets not worry ‘bout that right now sweet girl.” He said kissing you lips softly, your hand pushed on his chest.
“We get caught its on yo ass Graves.” You spoke pushing your lips together pressing color back into your lipstick, your hand wiping the darker neutral color of his lips. He gave you a smug grin slapping your ass lightly before continuing to the bar. Fuckin tease.
You placed your self next to him leaning against the bar your arms resting against under your boobs lifting them very nicely giving Phillip and the bar tender and nice view, your cropped gray tank top sat low showing off the top your pretty light blue bra the lace sitting all pretty. Your washed out miss me’s sitting low enough on your back to show your dimple piercings, mmm and did Lip enjoy the view, was he jealous that the other boys where looking at you oh of fucking corse but at the end of the day you were his all his so let ‘em little boys look. He continued you admire you as you both worked on your drinks you wore a straw cowboy hat with a little charm on the front and your belt the buckle bring your fit together yeah you looked so damn good…
“Finish that, we gotta go out to my truck.” He spoke, taking one last swig of his bud light.
“Why?” You asked eventually finishing your beer anyway 3rd one down.
He gave you a look motioning his head to the exit.
Oh…
Oh!
“Lets go!” You grinned pulling him by his hand through the crowd. Luckily it was starting to get dark and Phillips tint would do the trick, pulling out your phone you sent a text to your sister.
‘Hey cover for me be back in like 20-30 minutes love ya!💋’
Nessa💆🏾‍♀️
‘Ight j dont be to long dont want daddy getting suspicious.’
With that you put your phone back in your bag as you two walked to his truck, it being parked somewhere in a dead end street. Opening the back door to his GMC you quickly got it him following you after, he started his truck so the ac could start cooling the inside from the Louisiana sun.
“Lets make this fast don’t want your daddy to worry bout his little girl.” He teased taking your hat of replacing it with his, his hands starting to work on his jeans as you worked on yours you fully discarding your pants.
Your lips met his, both of your lips moving in sync. Phillips hands made there way to you ass grabbing a hand full of flesh as he rocked your hips onto him. “Matching set.?” Lip spoke in between kisses.
You smiled agains his lips “I thought it was cute..” you stated knowing damn well this was one of the sets he had bought you it being a favorite. You felt his hand go to move your panties to the side and he freed himself from his briefs.
You lifted yourself up letting him line himself up to you. Your hands griping his shoulders as you sunk down on to him letting out a soft moan, the movement of your hips causing his head to fall back against the window.
“God you feel so good sweetheart, made just for me huh?” He groaned, a small whimper escaping his mouth when you fasted your pace.
His hands moving your hips as well, your body falling closely to him placing soft kisses on his neck your lipstick leaving stains as well as soft red marks from sucking on him. The truck moving slightly at the fast movement, Phillip fucking himself into you. His arms hugged your waist as he kept his pace up as you fucked him back your cunt dripping of arousal the mix of fluids making a white ring around the base of his cock.
“Fuck Lip..” you moaned, your arms wrapped tightly around his neck.
“Common sweetheart hold on a lil bit longer for me I’m s’ close.” He slurred, feeling your walls tighten around him.
“Please.. please let me cum.” You begged her face muffled into his shoulder.
“Nah common baby let me hear you.” He spoke his hands gathering your hair pulling your head back.
“Fuck please let me cum, please daddy let me cum.” You begged, the knot in your stomach becoming unbearable.
He let out an amused chuckle his pace not slowing down. “Yeah you wanna cum?” He asked his tone faking sympathy. “ ‘mon pretty girl use that filthy mouth of yours.”
You squeeze your eyes shut, the pleasure causing your head to go fuzzy your mouth hanging open slightly as moans continue to slip from your lips. “Look at you all cock drunk.” He degraded.
“Please I- I cant hold it anymore… fuck daddy please.” You pleaded, your nail’s digging into his shoulders.
He wore an amused smirk enjoying your begging, they way you pleaded drove him crazy. Your walls pulsing he knew you couldn’t keep it together for much longer and that if he kept you her to long suspension would come upon your father.
He groaned his balls starting to tighten “mm cum for me sweetheart, fuckin cum f’ me.” He grip releasing your braids wrapping his arms hugging your waist once again his face buried in your breast as he came undone.
Phillip whimpering as he filled you up stuffing you full. After catching both of yours breath you began to redress yourself, Graves grabbing a napkin from his glove box cleaning up his mess that was currently dripping down your thighs into his leather seat, Also wiping the spot on his covers thigh.
“Made a mess did we.” You laughed noticing the stain on his leg.
“You made a mess.” He corrected.
“Could have been worse.” You winked, he knew what you meant and he nodded.
You both exited the vehicle a group of four walking by they looked away from the two of you minding there business. Cute.
Helping you out he took his hat back giving your back to you, placing the hat on your head he gave you a deep kiss. “Your lipstick is smudged doll.” He smirked.
Fuck, you let your hands whipe around your mouth. Phillip watching you he couldn’t help but smile, little did he know he had a few hickeys light but they were there. You both continued on to the gate getting a drink then heading in to the rodeo, your mother of course had to ask questions.
“Where has y’all be, it been like 30 minutes?” She questioned your father looking up taking a sip of his drink.
“I had to use the bathroom and feed him so fried Oreos because he’s never had ‘em.” You spoke innocently the lie rolling off your tongue so easily.
She shook her head letting y’all sit down you in between your father and boyfriend. Your father giving the two of you a look that caused your stomach to drop, but Phillip ignored it tried to anyway. You glance over at him noticing a light lipstick stain, your lipstick stain it wasn’t very visible but it was still there if your wore a lighter shade maybe could have gotten away with it but as of now he knew he had to.
“Graves come get a drink with me.” Your father spoke, Tapping your leg to let him through.
Oh shit, shit shit shit!
Lip nodded standing up going down the bleachers with your father. You looked over at your sister who was next to your mother, Nessa giving you a panicked look.
Phillip stood in line with your father the silence thick. The noise of the fair and rodeo seemed so dreadfully loud. Phillip soon opened his mouth to say something but was cut off “how long have you been sleeping with my daughter.” Shepherd spoke dangerously calm.
“Im sorry?” Graves asked, his heart dropped into his stomach.
Shepherd turned his head looking him dead in the eye “How. Long. Have you been sleeping. With my daughter.”
Phillip wasn’t one to show weakness nore fear but right now he was fucking scared, he made a reckless misstep because he couldn’t keep it in his pants for a few more hours. “Sir, I.. shit.” He took a breath his voice slightly shaky.
“For about 9 or so months now.” He spoke, you two have known each other longer but have been together since late February.
Shepherds head turned back looking in front of him ordering his beer. The two men stepped out of line Phillip trying to explain the situation but he wasn’t having it.
“You realize my daughter is almost 10 fucking years younger than you. And I told you Graves, you and your boys being around my family you were forbidden to involve your self with any on my daughters, Natalie, Vanessa, (name). Yet here I’m finding myself having this conversation with you because your sleeping with my youngest.” Shepherd spoke his voice still calm not wanting to cause a scene, but Shepherd was livid.
Graves had just dug his own grave, they had been caught. “Sir Im aware how old she is and I know I wasn’t supposed to get involved with your daughters life it just happened… we-” Phillip spoke getting caught off.
“I don’t want to hear excuses Phillip, let me make this clear. You can stay the rest of the night because I invited you but when you take my daughter to her apartment tonight because she’ll use her sister to cover for her. I want you to cut contact with her or I will release you if your duties.” Shepherd said his face close to Phillips.
“Do I make myself clear boy.”
“Yes sir.”
“Good.”
With that the two men returned on there way back. Phillip couldn’t believe how easily he gave into your father, how easily he just had to leave you. He couldn’t do that to you nor himself, but his career, was at risk something he’s worked hard for something her loved yet cherished you. He loved you, so fucking much. Walking back up he saw the worried expression your wore through a small smile, he gave you a reassuring smile nodding at you as he sat down.
Your head turned looking at him, but you couldn’t read him, nothing.
The night went by slower than you would have liked, the rodeo ended at about 11 your family and Phillip now on the way out and you had done exactly what your dad had known. You had used your sister as cover walking the opposite direction with her and Lip Nessa soon seeing her way out.
Getting in the truck you finally spoke “What did my father say?” She asked, he brows frowned.
He didn’t say anything he only began to start driving, his blue eyes focused on the road.
“Phillip what did you and my dad talk about..” now you were scared.
“Baby…”
“Lets talk when he get you back to your place..” he spoke his hand laying on your thigh rubbing it softly.
So you guys did getting into your apartment you took your boots off placing you hat and bag down, Phillip followed in behind you but didn’t remove his shoes he wasn’t wearing his hat anymore. You walked up to him going to him your hands going to touch his face, but he stoped you his hands grabbing your wrist.
“We cant do this anymore..” he whispered.
What? No what the fuck.
“What do you mean..” you couldn’t feel the lump in your throat form you knew what he ment.
“Doll don’t look at me like that… please don’t look at me that way…” his voice soft, his blue eyes focused on you.
“No, no fucking tell me. You cant just.” You spoke, you voice breaking.
“What did he tell you, what did he make you think.” You asked your hands now in fist.
“(Name) dont make this harder than it had to be. He knows…”
“No shit he know you’re standing here breaking up with me!” You shouted pulling you hands from his grip pushing him back a little.
“What the fuck Phillip! are- are you kidding me…” you cried out.
“Why..” you asked letting out a frustrated cry.
“Im 32 sweetheart, your only 23 you have so much to live for. Im… im only gonna hold you back..” he spoke, that lie made him sick, you were living he would never do anything to hold you back. Yet that that excuse he chose to you and you called bullshit.
“Did he threaten releasing you from your position?”
He looked down at her “No.. no”
“Stop lying dont fucking protect him, tell me.” You spoke sternly few tears falling down your face.
Graves looked at you, he hated how you were about the only person that could see through his lies. “He did..”
And you knew how much that job meant to him, how hard he worked for the shadow company how many years he put into the military and now you stood in the way of that. You couldn’t blame him, but it hurt, hurt even more when you weren’t gonna let your father take that away from him. Phillip took a step towards you he wanted to explain you knew the love that he carried for you, but you weren’t gonna make him chose because he was considering it.
“Don’t let me come in between that, I sorry Lip I- I didn’t know he would do that. That he was going to threaten you position.” His heart broke hearing your words.
“Please don’t apologize, never apologize.. I love you so much I hope you know that. I don’t want to lose you.” He spoke taking your face in his hands making you look at him, tears stained your features.
“Phillip, your worked so hard for all of that, don’t chose me over 10 years of hard work. I cant make you do that. I openly went against my fathers wishes and his we were reckless and now you have to go back to work don’t let me drag you down.” Her hands held into his forearm your heads weight falling into his hands.
No, you couldn’t. You could never hold him down, he wanted you and would give up his line of work to be with you. But you wouldn’t let him.
“Doll, don’t say that you could never hold me back.” He spoke his eyes starting to gloss over.
Dont cry, not in-front if her not now.
“You gotta go Lip… you- god, you have to let me go as I do too” you sobbed quietly.
He pulled you in close wrapping his arms tightly around you, “please don’t give up on me.” He whispered his head laying onto of yours, your soft cries muffled into his shirt. He could feel the wet spot build up on his shirt.
“Go Phillip.” You said making yourself push against him, “Fucking go! Please!” You pushed him back.
“I love you (name)..” he spoke softly.
Your bottom lip trembled “I love you too..”
It felt as if someone had just stabbed him over and over and fucking over just left to bleed out.
Maybe this was it.

Callsign: Hound
You had to confess that getting back together with Price and Gaz excited you. Heck, even meeting Soap and Ghost made you happy even though you didn't really know them yet. You settled into your new room more quickly than you had anticipated. Thank goodness, there is still time before lights out.
You sat on your bed, unable to suppress your excitement. This was how peace felt, and you hadn't felt it in a long time. There were no prying eyes on you now. Now that you were able to breathe, you huffed and sat back down on your bed. You stretched your hands to the ceiling. This is something you can get used to every night.
A soft knock came on your door. You raised your head and shouted a quick come in. The door opened to reveal Price, who appeared to be holding something behind his back as he opened the door more to make himself more visible to you.
"Got a minute to spare Hound?"
You sat up and patted the spot on your bed next to you with a smile. Price entered your room and closed the door behind him with his foot so you couldn't see what he was carrying behind his back. He approached your bed and sat alongside you. He was close enough that if he stretched his legs, they would touch yours.
Price cleared his throat before revealing what he was hiding behind his back: a plushie, a dog plushie. You gazed at him for a bit before taking it from him with a chuckle. "What is this for?"
"Well, I figured you can grab this and keep it close if you ever experience nightmares," Price said with a faint smile as he turned away from you a bit.
He genuinely thought about you...
"Thank you John, I love it already, but what if you have nightmares?"
Price chuckled, "I doubt I'll be needing it."
You smiled at Price, and there they were once more—those butterflies. You can briefly detect a change in Price's eyes when he turned to face you, but it just lasted a split second if you were lucky enough to notice it. You placed the plush on your lap.
"What made you pick me?" You inquired. "With all due respect Captain-"
"Had to find people I trusted, and you are someone I trust with my life," Price hummed.
He trusted you, and you trusted him. So, what made you respond the way you did when he touched you? A reflex, perhaps? It was only a polite, welcome gesture… so why? Why do you feel both unsafe and secure at the same time? You were safe, safe with everyone, safe with John...
"I trust you as well, John," you said, exhaling. "With everything…"
Price chuckled a little before asking, "With anything, soldier?" in a softer tone.
"Yes sir."
Price gave you a nod and a little smile as he rose up and shifted your bed. He opened your door before closing it gave you a last look then a salute, "Have a goodnight Y/N, sleep tight yea."
You adjusted yourself onto your bed, letting out a sigh as you closed your eyes soon heading off to sleep.
. . .
Price stared through your file, a grim expression on his face, rereading it over and over, oblivious to Ghost's presence.
"Something the matter Captain?"
Price's eyes never leaving the paper as he answered with gruff hum. Ghost tilted his head slightly confused by the captains response.
"This doesn't seem right..." Price muttered. "You'd think the signs would be there eh..."
"Price."
"Yeah Ghost I hear ya."
Ghost pointed at the file in Price's hands, "That Hound's?"
"Yeah… ever get a gut feeling something's wrong but can't put a bloody finger on it?" Price inquired, lowering the file and closing it.
"Every day, sir," Ghost responded. "Something wrong with the file?"
"Take a go at it, either I'm losing it or there's something else going on," Price said as he slid the file forward.
Ghost took the file and scanned it, his eyes immediately falling on the name Shepard. It was your last name.
Ghost looked at Price then back at the file.
"How long have they-"
Price cut Ghost off, "Look at the other paper."
Ghost slid the first paper, then the second; it was an older picture of you, one in which you appeared younger, as seen by the form of your face. He looked up your surname, it was L/N.
"I don't get it…" Ghost inquired as he examined both documents.
"Me either, mate," Price sneered as Ghost handed him your file back. "You'd think I'd notice something so obvious as that the first time."
Ghost hummed, "Maybe it was an off duty decision."
"No, no, Hound has a family, parents and siblings, this would've come up," Price grumbled, carefully examining the two documents.
"Disappointed you weren't invited to the wedding, Captain?" Ghost commented.
"Far from it," Price sneered. "This doesn't sit right with me, not in the slightest."
"Are you gonna to ask her about it?”
Price shook his head, “No.”
The way you tensed when he touched you said more than words could. Something happened to you. You were a tough nut to crack, based on the situations you, Gaz, and him had been through.
Kate told him to find out what’s going on through you while she started digging into Shepard. He trusted you, as well as you trusted him, that he knew for sure. Should he wait for you to tell him? Or should he just be straightforward with you?
“Fuckin Hell,” he mumbled under his breath. “God, Y/N what’s going on with you…”
…
“Morning Hound, how’d you sleep?” Gaz called out to you from the mess hall. You approached him and gave him a little wave. He was the only one at the table.
There were a couple other people in the mess hall who smiled at you before going about their business.
"Good morning, Gaz," you replied. "Where is everyone?"
"In the training room, Soap wanted to confront one of the novices while Ghost monitors," Gaz shrugged.
You raised your brow, “Right…”
Gaz simply smiled at you. It was a gentle one, able to melt a frozen heart. Although it appeared as though he was gazing through you, you can tell that he was still taking in the reality that you were in fact here, in front of him.
“You okay?”
"Yes, it's bloody brilliant to see you alive and well, it's been so long I nearly forgot what you looked like," Gaz chuckles. "You haven't changed a lot."
You sat across from Gaz, smugly smiling. “Really? Kindly elucidate."
"You still look absolutely stunning," Gaz remarked.
"Pft, you're just saying that," you scoff.
"No, it's true, you still look beautiful, maybe not as good as me, but-"
"Oh really," you said, covering your mouth and laughing.
“Y/N…”
“Yeah?”
"We really missed you, and I'm happy you're here," Gaz replied softly.
"I'm glad too," you said while grinning at him.
Gaz missed you. And so did Price. They never forgot about you, you were still dear to their hearts. It hasn’t been a solid 24 hours and they’ve already made you feel warm and fuzzy. They made you welcomed, made you feel safe. Although trust comes a long way, and it isn’t given it’s earned, Soap and Ghost have to earn that trust as you need to earn their trust as well.
“What were you doin all this time? Like I mentioned yesterday all I heard was that you were doing solo missions.”
“… the higher up’s like the work I do I guess…”
Shepard liked the work you did too. A little to much...
“Pretty face does equal elegant work,” Gaz mused.
"Oh hush you," you giggled. "But yes, I've been doing a lot of solo assignments, took it a day at a time."
"Have you spoken to your family since then?"
A tsunami-like sensation of dread rushed over you. It felt like a spear right through your heart. Shepard killed your parent …  They were taken from you. Not metaphorically or rhetorically or poetically or theoretically or any other fancy way, they were gone. Straight up.
"Hound?"
"No Gaz, I haven't spoken to them… gosh, I don't even remember the last time I spoke to them," you shook your head, sighing.
"Hey, it's alright, it's been awhile for me too," Gaz said softly. "I'm sure Price or Laswell can arrange something for you."
"I don't know-"
Gaz opened his mouth to say something but quickly closed it; you looked at him then turned your head to see Ghost approaching the two of you, Soap jogging straight behind him. While catching up to him, Soap had a stupid smile on his face.
"Mornin' Hound, Mornin' Gaz," Soap said as he sat down next to you. You raised your brow at him, greeting him and then Ghost.
"How was the match?" Gaz asked.
Ghost shook his head while Soap grinned. "I wiped the floor with those little fuckers."
"You don't say," Gaz hummed.
"So... anyone up for a match?" Soap asked looking between you and Gaz. Gaz shook his head, "Hard pass."
Soap turned to you, "How about it Hound? Want a go at it?"
"Eh, I don't know..." you hummed.
"Oh come on, it'd be great practice, plus captain says you're a big deal, I wanna see for myself," Soap says, elbowing you slightly.
"I'd tear you apart Soap."
"Oh! Well then come on," Soap says standing up jogging lightly on his feet. "Let's see what you got Hound."
As you stood up from the table, you exhaled a trembling breath. As soon as Gaz got to his feet, he hurried up to you and put his hand on your shoulder while turning to face you. You felt your body stiffen up again, and your gaze rested on his hand, and you hastily shrugged off before giving Gaz a faint smile and trailing after Soap, while Gaz followed behind.
As you reached the training area, you noticed a few other people engaging in their own individual training and competitive matches. You noticed the large ring in the center of the room, where Soap cheerfully walked inside and signaled for you to join him.
You entered the ring looking at Soap, "You sure you wanna do this?"
"Bring it, show me why they call you Hound."
"They call me Hound because I'm good at finding people… but alright," you scoffed.
Soap and you both took a position. You both circled each other until Soap made the fourth move, approaching you and throwing a punch, which you blocked and returned.
The others in the room stopped what they were doing to watch you and Soap, and out of the corner of your eye, you observed them. You also got sight of a man wearing a bucket hat enter the room. Price had came.
Soap had landed a hit on the side of your stomach, so you grunted and elbowed him back, raising your leg up to knee him in the stomach and sending an elbow to his back. You kicked the back of the calf, causing him to stumble slightly but soon recover and throw another fist your way.
"Good shit Hound."
As soon as you heard what Price was saying, a cozy sensation returned to your tummy. For a brief instant, you almost lost focus on what you were doing. But what would his voice sound like in a low whisper…in your ear?
"Shepard knows how to pick em." You overheard someone say. Every single one of the butterflies in your stomach started to burn. You had Soap trapped down with his arm in your hand before you realized it. You lightly stepped on his back. Shepard. Fucking Shepard. Because of him, you're still here. You can't avoid his name no matter where you go. Worse than his presence was his name.
"Ah- okay- okay Uncle!"
You walked out of the ring, past Gaz and Price, after dropping Soap's arm in a huff. Gaz gave Soap a puzzled look, and Price followed you.
"Hound."
As you were ready to enter your room, you paused in your tacks and sighed, turning on your heel.
"My office, now."
You followed Price back into his office, closing the door behind you. His office had a bar-like odor. "Yes sir?"
"You wanna tell me what's goin' on in that head of yours?" Price asked you as he reclined against his desk, arms crossed and head cocked.
"I'm sorry?"
Price hummed, "I've known you long enough to know that look in your way Hound."
"What look sir?"
"Lost."
"I'm fine Captain, just got heated in the moment," you said with a smile.
Price locked his gaze on you, scanning you up and down. It sent shivers up and down your spine. You needed to leave immediately, you needed to think.
"May I go now?"
"What's the rush?" Price asked his voice sounding stern.
You shook your head, "My family...I- I haven't checked in on them."
"Homesick?"
You nodded, "Very."
As you approached, Price sighed and gave you a faint smile. "Understandable; if you'd like, I can work something out for you, yeah?"
"Thank you sir," you said.
"You can leave now," Price remarked, motioning to the door. He observed you exit the space as swiftly as you entered.
"What's goin' on with you kid..."

I'll Be Back
Chapter 3
Ch.1 Ch.2 Ch.4 Ch.5. Ch.6. Ch.7. Ch.8.
About: Amelia 'Amy' Vargas had everything going for her. Her dream dog, big house, and in the honeymoon phase with her husband Alejandro Vargas. Her worst fear comes true when Alejandro is KIA during a mission. Or so she thinks. He comes back home, seemingly normal and like his usual self, but Rodolfo, who witnessed his death, is very suspicious.
Each chapter will have individual warnings
!Warnings!: Sprinkle of Suggestive Talk
Tumblr media
“Do you need any help, amar?” Alejandro’s voice broke my thoughts.
It’s been about a week since Alejandro has been home and today was the day that all of the guys were coming over to hang out. I was baking them some homemade lasagna as well as some garlic bread.
“No, I’m good, Ale, but thank you.” I say, beaming up at him.
Alejandro leaned down and kissed my neck, making me sigh in content.
“I'll be sure to repay you greatly later~.” Alejandro's dropped an octave, sending chills down my spine.
“I'll take you up on that offer then.” I flirt back, as Alejandro held my chin and made me look deep into his eyes, “but not right now. Our guests will be here soon.”
“Fastidiar.” Alejandro mumbled as he pulled away from me and continued to finish cleaning up our place.
I rolled my eyes at him, knowing that deep down it was because he loves me. I stuck the lasagna into the oven, setting the timer for forty minutes.
“That already smells so good, querida.” Alejandro complimented.
“Thank you, babe.” I say, “should we put Winston up for Johnny?”
“I asked him about that and he said he was fine with Winston. Sent him a picture and everything.” Alejandro informed me.
I nodded in response. Johnny has always disliked dogs due to the fact that he was attacked by so many at once during a mission he was on and he was by himself. I don't fault him for that at all but Winston loves everyone. I looked over to find Ale coddling Winston, as if Winston was a human baby. I smiled seeing that image. Imagine what he would do with our own child. Speaking of…
“You look adorable like that.” I comment.
“Hm?”
“Coddling him.” I say.
“What does that mean?” Alejandro smirked.
“I mean, well, if you're like that with a dog imagine how you would be with a human.” I comment, hoping he'd understand what I'm putting down.
A smug smirk painted on Alejandro’s face.
“You said later, so later It will be.” He remarked.
“Lo que.” I mumble, turning my back to him and hearing him chuckle in response.
You're such an ass sometimes Vargas but I surely don't regret marrying you.
~
“Winston, this is Johnny.” I introduced Winston to Johnny.
“Put yo’ damn hand ou’ for him Johnny.” Price commented as Johnny slowly crouched down to Winston's level.
Of course Winston was wagging his tail with his ears perked up at Johnny but I could tell Johnny was a little nervous.
“He won't bite, hermano. I promise.” Alejandro reassured him.
Johnny nodded as he reached out and petted Winston on his head, Winston immediately licking his hand and smelling him.
“Told you.” Simon mumbled.
Johnny laughed as Winston walked up to Johnny and giving him a few licks on his face.
“Alrigh’ Winston is good in my book.” Johnny announced.
“Huzzah!” I exclaimed out loud, making everyone chuckle.
*BEEPBEEPBEEP*
“Lasagna's ready.” I announce.
“It smells delightful, Mrs. Vargas.” Gaz told me.
“Gaz, I told you, just Amy is alright.” I reassure him.
“Sorry, sorry.” Gaz said, knowing I was joshing him.
As Johnny and them sat down at the dining table, Alejandro came to help me out.
“Please Amelia, let me take over.” Alejandro begged.
“No it's fine Ale, I promise.” I reassure him.
I then leaned in close to his ear.
“You still owe me that payback tonight.”
Alejandro chuckled as he pecked my temple.
“I won't forget.” He remarked with a smirk.
Putting our feelings aside, Alejandro and I set the table and put the dishes and the dessert I made in the middle of the table.
“Gracias por esta comida, Amelia.” Rudy thanked me.
“De nada, Rudy.” I said with a smile.
“It smells bloody fucking good.” Price commented, eyeballing the dish.
“Well, dig in y'all.” I said.
Quick as a flash, everyone got their hands on the dish, with Alejandro making sure I still got some despite not minding on not being able to get the first portion. In any normal setting, Alejandro always makes sure I eat first before he does, even if he just came back from a mission. We all ate in silence, but that to me is just a compliment in my eyes.
“This is delicious, Amelia.” Simon spoke first, seeing his plate was nearly finished.
“Thank you, Simon.”
Simon had his balaclava off with just a black medical mask on his face. I never knew he was blonde until right after Alejandro and Los Vaqueros took down El Sin Nombre, but it suits him. Other times we have met up, Simon has worn his balaclava if we met up in public, but if we met at each other’s houses, he just opts for the medical mask. Johnny says it has taken him a while to even wear the balaclava mask over his normal Ghost mask so I know it will take a while for him to go maskless, in which he can take all the time that he needs.
“I second that.” Price added.
Everyone was non stop complimenting the dish and the dessert I made and it made me feel so good about myself. Besides being Alejandro’s wife, it made me feel like I had another purpose, in a weird way.
“Alejandro, you're such a liar!”
“¡No soy un maldito mentiroso!” Alejandro cursed at Johnny.
“What?” I asked, finally joining in on their conversation.
“During our mission together, I caught him kissing a picture of you.” Johnny said.
Almost immediately a deep red blush emitted on Alejandro’s face.
“Aww, you did miss me, Ale.” I joked, nudging him on the arm with my shoulder.
In one swift movement, Alejandro quickly grabbed my face and smashed his lips onto mine. The entire crew went ‘OOOO” in a loud uproar, except for Simon, who just shook his head at the immaturity of his crew. Alejandro sneered his eyes at me as he smirked at me.
“Te burlas de una mujer.”
“Por eso soy Vargas.” I smirk back.
“Oi you two get a room why don't ya!” Johnny exclaimed in a joking manner.
“Sorry, sorry.” Alejandro flustered as he apologized, pulling away from me.
“Dinner and dessert was lovely, Mrs. Vargas. I mean-Amy.” Gaz told me.
“Why thank you Gaz.” I said.
“Now, whose up for a game of never have I ever?” Johnny suggested.
Oh boy.
“Alrigh’. Never, uh have I ever-”
“Read the bloody fucking card, Soap.” Simon grumbled at Johnny, who is not holding his alcohol down well.
“I am! Never have I ever gone skinny dipping.”
Shit. I know Alejandro is eyeing me right now. Why oh why? Oh fuck it. Alejandro and I grabbed our drink in unison and sipped it, hearing the entire dining room be emitted with gasps.
“When did it happen?!” Johnny exclaimed.
“Whenever we first got together. We were drinking by the pond and well, yeah.” Alejandro briefly said, not wanting to go into it anymore for a good reason.
~
“Ale I'm not sure if this is a good idea!” I silently yelled as he started stripping.
“Come onnn, have some fun chica!” Alejandro slurred his words a little, absolutely smashed from the alcohol we were drinking.
I was about to yell at him until he stripped his shirt off. Despite it being pitch black outside, the moon was bright enough to emit light onto him. I could see his perky chest, his big arms and toned skin. Oh my God, he is hot. So hot. I turned away from being flustered.
“Que? You scared to look?” Alejandro smirked.
“Uh no! I just didn't..I don't know!”
Alejandro chuckled, knowing that he did indeed caught me looking. He then reached down and pulled his jeans off. Shit, his legs were big as well. He could squeeze me head with those thighs.
Wait, what?
Amelia stop!
“You're gonna get your clothes wet?” Alejandro asked.
“N-No, I'm gonna..” I trailed off, procrastinating as much as I could.
“What's wrong, Amelia?” Alejandro asked me as he walked up to me, sobering up a little bit.
Alejandro got close to me, making my heart race. We just got together and he wants to go skinny dipping?! It's not the fact that he wants to swim naked, it's the fact that I know he is going to look down on me for how I look.
“Amelia. Look at me.” Alejandro pleaded as he held my chin.
I looked up at him and he held my chin in place to avoid me looking down.
“Am I being too much?”
“No, you're not Ale. You're just..not going to like how I look.” I confess.
“Eso es una mierda.” Alejandro growled in annoyance.
“It's true. It's not bullshit.”
Alejandro slammed his lips onto mine, immediately running his tongue over my lips. I softly moaned into the kiss, feeling him force his tongue into my mouth. I had no idea what was happening but it all felt so good. So, so good. After a few seconds, Alejandro pulled his lips away, but remained close.
“You are beautiful, querida. Join me in the water.” Alejandro said.
Before I could even protest, Alejandro stripped his boxers off, holy shit, and jumped into the water. He rose back up, flicking his long, jet black hair out of his face.
“Water feels great!” He calls out to me.
I tiptoed close to the water, afraid of him seeing me. The water tickled my toes, but it was lukewarm at best.
“I’ll turn around.” Alejandro offered, swimming around to turn his back to me.
I waited a few seconds to see if he would peek and he didn’t.
“I wont peek I promise.” He reassured me, as if he was reading my mind.
I sighed deeply, feeling relaxed and calm as I stripped my clothes off, tossing them next to Alejandro’s. Alejandro kept his back turned as I got into the water, making sure my entire body was submerged in the water as I swam towards him.
“Thank you for not peeking.” I mumbled, announcing my presence.
Alejandro whipped around, smiling big seeing me there.
“Of course. Why would I?”
I shrugged my shoulders, for I didn’t have any reason to think that way with him. I can tell that Alejandro was catching on.
“You don’t have to tell me, but I am right here and here for you. You don’t have to worry about anything with me, hermosa.” Alejandro cooed to me.
I giggled in response, feeling flustered.
“Thank you, Ale.”
“Ale?”
“Your name is a mouthful sometimes.” I joke.
Alejandro laughed, seeing the alcohol slowly wearing off.
“Well then can I call you Amy then?” He asked.
“Of course, Ale.”
Alejandro then leaned in and placed a soft kiss on my lips that wasn’t sexual in any way, just full of love. Infinite love.

COD Shifter AU Thoughts
This one is primarily just world building tidbits but I'll do another one soon about the different characters and what type of shifters they are/some of their backstory stuff probably
Shifters aren't considered common though part of that is that many families might not disclose that status unless necessary
In the military it's common for units to limit the number of shifters on a team to avoid issues between members, especially as shifters commonly struggle to work together in large groups without a specific leader
It's incredibly rare for shifters to be put in command positions, most prefer to avoid them for different reasons to begin with, and many people think they can't be trusted not to fall back on instinct in high stress situations
Task Force 141 is a bit of an oddball in that the Captain that runs it is both a wolf shifter and as he was in charge of recruitment chose to fill the team with shifters that had already been labeled volatileNearly every member of TF141 has a mark against putting them in teams with other shifters, Simon "Ghost" Riley has more than a dozen
Gaz is the only member to not have an actual mark against placing him on a team with other shifters
Shifters are generally much larger than the actual animal they take the form of, wolf shifters will on average stand at 5'2 to 5'6 from paw to hackle but can be larger or smaller
Feline shifters are generally closer to the average size of the animal though some can be larger, usually those that shift into big cats compared to some of the smaller cats
Shepherd allows Price's composition of 141 for a number of reasons, primarily that with that number of shifters he has a number of easy ready fire ways to burn them for any reason he deems necessary.
Graves as a wolf shifter created Shadow company for shifters who were unsatisfied with the way the military generally placed shifters, as a result there are more shifters than regular humans though they do have some and the shifters are all expected to be able to work with anyone, shifter or not, that they're assigned to
Because of Shadow company's numbers and flexibility they're Shepherds go to, especially when working with 141 due to their high shifter count compared to most military teams

Phillip Graves Angst
i got this idea for a one shot where daddy issues graves survives the tank and he's in the hospital and for days shepherd doesn't visit him and he's left to stew and realize everything he did was for nothing and shepherd never cared about him and he confronts shepherd when he finally visits and shepherd is just like welp you're not useful to me anymore, just another loose end to tie up and then graves starts feeling weird and shepherd is just like teehee I got the nurse to give you too much morphine and graves dies 😝 and um it's literally just angst which I usually don't do I like happy endings but I was feeling evil with the idea
!!not really proof read!!

Floating. That's the only way he could describe it. Weightless. Like zero Gs, drifting around so calm. Without care in the endless void he found himself in. Is he dead? He has to be.. Right? Phillip doesn't remember what got him here, so peaceful, and he's thankful for it. He doesn't have the strength to resist the promising luxury of rest. A long overdue break from the overworked aching in his veins, the unbearable muscle fatigue, the sleepless nights slowly but surely taking its toll. The images of his soldiers corpses piled up with bright crimson painted beneath them plaguing his mind, eyes sunken and bloodshot. He regretted he couldn't spare them the horror, they were under his orders and he failed them. Guilt had infected every inch of his being. He could've helped, but he didn't. He sent them out there. To die. Like lambs to a slaughter. And he might as well been the butcher.
It stings. His comfortable void had changed into a searing heat, like he was drowning in boiling water. He wanted to go back, to feel the previous serenity. He wasn't able to. He didn't deserve to.
When he finally woke up and opened his eyes the lights overheard blinded him, making him squeeze his eyes shut again. He wasn't dead. He couldn't be. Not with the smothering pain shocking though his system. His limbs were exhausted and he had a splitting headache. It felt like someone had put a bullet in his skull and it was rattling around, hitting against every nerve and causing as much damage as it went along.
Reluctantly Phillip opened his eyes, taking a minute to adjust to the vivid bulbs. His sight was still blurry, he wished he was in any condition to make sense of what transpired, but all he knew was he really fucked up. Things were staring to come into focus. A sterile room with a small window and bland curtain. He was dressed h in normal hospital clothing. It was silent, dead silent. Save for the light breeze outside and the steady beeping of a monitor. The room seemed untouched. Not that he was expecting any visitors. He didn't have any contact with his family nor anyone who would care if they received that unlucky letter in the mail. But what about Sheperd? He was certain the word about him being hospitalised would've gotten around to him by now. And by the looks of it, he didn't even blink an eye. Sure he was only his superior, a busy guy at that, but after all they've been through, everything he risked, he can't just be disposable, he's got to be worth more?
His head felt like a thousand pounds as he looked around, eyes already threatening to shut once again.
How long was he out for?
Phillips limbs were locked, desperate to function. He continued to scrutinize his surroundings. Searching for something he couldn't quite remember. An IV in his arm accompanied with bad bruising and severe burns peeling back on his skin. His fingers curl restlessly at his sides as Phillip tries to use his elbows to prop himself up. He sits up and the shifting of his weight irritates every injury he had obtained, His body yells for him to stop moving. He thinks of yelling himself, but the desire to cry out sits firmly in his thoughts, even if he wanted to his throat is cracked and dry.
He raised his hand instinctively to the scarring on his forearm. He gently traced the indent, wincing slightly at the feather-light touch. The skin was still sensitive after what had happened.
The mattress he was laying on was like a brick, it might've been comfortable at one point but Graves could feel the imprint he had made from laying down so long, being able to feel each and every sore on his back from being bedridden. Phillip is military, so he could sleep on a rusty bed of nails if he had to, but there's still a very noticeable difference between pitched tents in the middle of nowhere and some temporary apartment he rented out. And right now, he'd do anything to be back in the warm embrace of his home.
A few days blew by, only in the company of passing nurses who tried their best to make their visits as quick as possible. As much as Graves would hate to admit it, he was lonely. He missed the Shadows. His boys. His family. And given all that time alone, Phillip was left with his thoughts. The same ones he tries his best to get away from.
--
It mostly revolved around the Shadow Company. Usually if there was a mishap and some tragedy happened he'd always make sure his boys got the best treatment he could manage, and if they didn't make it, he'd inform their families as soon as possible and help them as much as possible while grieving. But recently, with all the deaths, all those lives.. nobody could have kept track. Now those families couldn't get the closure they needed, only able to go off some stupid information that they're MIA, giving them a sliver of hope, false hope. Or if they found a body- or what was left of one, KIA.
They deserved more than him.
He wasn't a leader-, he wasn't brave.
He was foolish.., gullible and reckless.
He put his trust blindly in someone who would send all of the Shadows in a building engulfed in flames without a second thought. Someone who would berate his men on the daily. Toss their lives around for fun. How could he have been so stupid?
He thought he could keep his guard down- if only for a moment, just because he felt as if Sheperd had good intentions.
Sheperd didn't care about him, not in the slightest. He treated Graves like shit, and he tolerated it. Pushed him away like a new pet desperate for attention.
But he would be lying if he said he didn't feel the need to make up for losing the missiles, especially since it was someone he was loyal to.
His mind would also wander to the things he had done.
He tried to make himself believe he was pressured into doing it- it's not 100% wrong, but he wanted to prove himself. Show people that he's not just some coward, though he feared it had done the opposite effect.
He deserved to die, in that tank.
No, it wouldn't make up for everything that was lost, but it would get rid of one more problem.
He knew he made a mistake.
Just like many, many times before.
He couldn't get rid of the feeling of pure guilt, that just slowly gnaws away at you, that follows you endlessly. Like a heavy strain on your shoulders that you can't seem to ever shake.
He didn't think he would end up like this when he took the job. He was a good man before this.
He just got mixed in with the wrong kind of people. An honest mistake, really.
He didn't want this.
Phillip Graves wanted to help people.
After the merciless massacre in Las Almas, he became an empty shell of a man, following orders without question. He was a husk of someone he used to be.
An empty pit in his stomach. Never-ending and condemned.
He had seen a lot, more than most. Full of enough pain and misery to destroy most. He held strong, well, tried to. He had one two many reasons for an emotional break.
But he didn't, not until Sheperd. Phillip had thought he saw everything, but the General had brought a new kind of brutality to his work.
--
For the first time today the door of the hospital room creaked open. Phillip, who was half asleep, snapped his eyes open, the sudden sound avoking newfound curiosity, he gave his full attention to the two figures in the doorway. It was a nurse- and Sheperd.
He looked fine, no ounce of regret, no softness in his features to show he messed up- the kohl on his eyes only highlighted the sharpness of his gaze. A tight coil in Graves chest tightened, just the sight of him- all high and mighty, no remorse for all the lives his so-called 'operations' cost, made every drop of his blood boil. Like molten lava, bubbling and waiting to burst.
Phillip clenches his jaw so much that he can feel his teeth squeak. Sheperd tips his head slightly, taking a few steps forward until he's at the foot of the bed. If Phillip hadn't been bedridden for days he would have jumped up on him right now and punched that fucker right in the face.
The men remain silent as the nurse goes to the beside, rumaging through a tray full of medical tools and equipment. Sheperd looks down at Phillip, a sorry sight. An eery, serene stare that send chills down Graves body. "You look like shit, Commander."
That's the first sentence he spoke to him in over weeks.
"I can't imagine why," He'd quip back, venom radiating from his tone. Sheperd gave him so much as a glare, crossing his arms.
The nurse approached Phillip with his daily needle of pain killers, and disinfected his arm with a cotton pad before injecting a needle into his arm, right into a vein, a light hiss escaping his lips.
"Where the hell have you been?" He asked Sheperd, narrowing his eyes. He thought he'd like some company or atleast someone to talk to after all that time alone but he's already irritated by his presence.
"I've had work to do, it seems to have piled up when someone fucked up the past few operations," Those words sliced into Graves heart sharper and more precise than any blade. He was only following orders. Orders from him.
His jaw couldn't have gotten any more tense and he balled his fists, his white-knuckle grip digging half moon crescents into his palms.
"I gave everything I had, everything, and you blame me?!" His voice faltered, and he swore he saw something in Sheperds expression, his nostrils flared, a manic look in his dark eyes. Usually Sheperd was more of a private person. More shielded and not as easy to read. A poker face always plastered on. Now he had something more easily identifiable—more of a primal feeling, something hostile.
Theres silence, layers of thick tension.
"...I thank you, for that.." Sheperds voice is disturbingly passive, his tone is calm compared to his incensed body language. Two conflicting feelings are giving mixed signals to Phillip.
"—But you are no use to me anymore."
"What?" His voice was unfamilarly quiet, almost forgien to his ears.
"You served your purpose, quite poorly. But
that's beside the point. You're useless to me now."
His breath left his lungs as though he had been sucker-punched. Phillip feels like his gut had been ripped open, he was used.
He couldn't be serious.
Why would he do this? He proved himself practical multiple times, maybe having a few slip ups but he always tried his best to fix them. It painted his usual black and white world, red. There was a strain on his chest that persists even as he pushed it down, a cold shiver shocks through his body as he tries to defend himself to the best of his ability.
"I'm... I'm not.."
"And by the looks of it, you're just another loose end to tie up." Sheperd interupts sharply with a small shrug of his shoulders.
The anger Phillip felt was watered down, diluted into heartache. The person he thought he could trust the most, had betrayed him.
"I can still—"
"No. No you can't. You've had enough chances." He breathed out a sickening chuckle.
Phillips breath seemed to be caught, like he was choking. He didn't know what was happening, he went wide eyed with panic. His eyes went to the nurse for help, but she only stood back and watched.
"I told you, you're only another loose end to tie up."
It was horrible. He had no choice but to watch the two as his head was hung down low and his skin was as cold as ice. He didn't even know if he was still breathing. The room was quiet once again this time only for the sounds of a mix between gagging and coughing. He struggled, until his body goes limp, he lies flat on his back, and stares at the white ceiling. The ceiling seemed to spin in circles and a deafening buzz rung out in his ears.
"Pathetic."
Phillip Graves knew he would die, slow and painful, it was only a matter of time. Only a matter of wounds that had yet to scar over. It was always coming
He believed- knew that he would die alone. Just as he deserved— charred and broken by his past. Trust was a risk, and Phillip took it like a fool. And now here he was, alone again, burned and betrayed once more.

The General
Tumblr media
The Task Force has found General Shepard, executed a plan to get him into custody. Allison struggles on bringing him alive.
Warnings: Violence, Mentions of Torture, Blood, Little of PTSD, and Swearing
I woke up with a small groan, my body a bit sore from last night events. I moved a bit feeling someone else near me, I froze for a moment. When I looked over it was Simon…He was actually asleep, I listened to his breathing. Soft and quiet, his back was lifting softly up and down. He never usually stayed after him and I fucking. Let alone asleep, he has told me he never really gets any sort of sleep.
His brown hair was messed up from the last nights activities. I smiled and wrapped my arms around his back, kissing his shoulder blades. He moved slightly before moaning, turning to face me. His eyes were groggily, trying to open. “What time is it?”
“0630,” I mumbled as I turned to get up. I felt that sweet pain in between my thighs. He did wreck the fuck out of me. After the first round I went down on him for appreciation then well we fucked once more. However we needed to get up and get you out. How long were you asleep?” I got out of bed.
He sat up running a hand through his hair. “Not long, 30 minutes.”
I frowned, I didn’t like that he never gets sleep. But 30 minutes is 30 minutes. He moved out from the sheets, my heart fluttered just to see him naked, exposed, he trusted me enough to be this way. It took him awhile to get that point. I don’t know if it was from the sex, getting his back on missions, or even Las Almas. Maybe all the above? He wasn’t smiling but he looked relaxed. “I’m sorry.” I said while grabbing my bra and underwear.
“Eh.” He said before getting dressed as well. There was a comfortable silence between us as we both got dressed for the day.
Letting my mind wonder…I couldn’t get the way he called me baby last night, just how he said it. It made butterflies form in my tummy. I pushed that aside not wanting him to realize what I was thinking. Or feeling. Or how red I will turn. I wanted to say something but I knew if I did he would shut down.
Simon picked up his mask and slipped it on. He was already almost dressed. “Price wants us in the meeting hall. I will see you there?” He slipped on his jeans bucking the belt.
I smiled at him. “Yes sir I will see you there.”
Simon chuckled walking over to the door. “Yes sir,” He repeated. “See you there Fox.” As he perked his head out and nodded at me walking out.
I just chuckled back finishing up getting ready, before walking out myself. “You know,” I snapped my head to see my sister. “For a 6”4’ huge ass man he is pretty sneaky.”
“Fuck off.” I sighed walking to where Price was wanting us to me.
“Did you guys…”
“Drop it Kat.” I snapped looking over at her as she walked along side me.
“Okay,” She said putting her hands up. “Price asked me to be part of your boy band.”
“And?”
“Nikolai will be teaching me the ropes of flying you guys.” Kat sounded cocky about it. Which usually happens when she gets a promotion.
“Welcome to the team.” I said smirking over at her. She just smiled back.
We all were standing around the table watching Price carefully. He was tense. I mean he was always tense but more tense. We watched as the screen had Laswell appear on it. “Sorry I had to go back home, wife emergencies,” She sighed before she continued. “We found Shepard.”
That last sentence echoed throughout the room. My heart sunk but skipped all at the same time, we can finally take this fucker out. We looked over at Price who nodded. “He is in Russia.” He mumbled before folding his arms.
“Here?” Ghost asked who was leaning against the wall on the other side of the room.
“Why in bloody hell is he here?” Soap asked looking at Laswell.
Laswell sighed. “Shepard has been working with Makarov for a while. We did some digging and it goes back for a couple of years, including the missiles last year,” She explained. “The only thing we don’t know is why he was helping him. Or giving him the missiles. He was the one who sent Ghost and Price to take him out, years ago.”
Ghost looked over at Price and shook his head. “Why take him out if he was working with him?”
Price shrugged. “We don’t know that either.”
Gaz clicked a pen he was holding. “Alright so where is he at then?”
“Hiding near Kara Sea,” She pulled up a map overlooking the coast of the sea. There were buildings that looked like it was in ruins or old at least. Construction in places. “He is hiding in one of these buildings, he doesn’t have much security, since Makarov is after him and us. He hired mercenaries to protect him with the money he had left.”
“So he is broke?” Kat asked sitting in the chair next to me.
“Very,” Laswell stated pulling up records from his bank. “The last transaction he made was last night. He switched his accounts in Russia, transferred all what he had to there. That’s how I found him.”
“Not smart.” Ghost said examining the board.
“Not at all,” Laswell said switching the picture back to the coast. “Nicolai and Hawk will be able to fly everyone close to the coast. It could be hot but like I said Shepard doesn’t have an army.”
“It should be a bam and thank you ma’am type mission?” Soap asked everyone looked over at him. “What I heard Hawk say it before and sorta stuck.”
I slowly turned my head to Kat. “Don’t.” She spat.
Ghost audibly sighed. “For fuck sake.”
Laswell just smirked then continued. “Price, Ghost, and Fox will be dropped on this end of the shore. While Soap, Yuri, and Gaz will be here.” They were on opposite sides of the building. Making him be boxed in.
“So two planes?” I asked.
“Yes ma’am,” Kat said before smiling. “I will be flying you.”
“Grand.” I mumbled as she elbowed me.
“We will box him in. He wouldn’t be able to run.” Laswell stated before pulling the details of the building. “He could be anywhere, my best guess is the basement part, it’s hidden, no windows, and probably most likely easier to booby trap.”
The inside looked like it could have been a school a while back. It was destroyed and blanketed by gunk and sea creatures. “God I can smell the picture.” Gaz whispered.
“Nothing you haven’t smelt before Sergeant.” Price mumbled back.
I chuckled a bit and so did Soap. Yuri snorted a bit before clearing his throat. “That area could be mucky as well,” He said folding his arms. “Bring you best boots.”
“Any questions?” Laswell said looking around.
“Dead or alive?” Everyone looked over at me.
It was quiet for a moment, we all knew what we wanted to do but what were we supposed to do was the reasoning for the question. “Our government wants him alive,” She sighed, rubbing her fingers through her hair but she leaned into the camera. “But I wouldn’t be too upset if he came back in a bag.”
…………………………………………………………
It was midnight, pitch black, the only thing my sister to guide herself through the air was the radar sensor. We didn’t want Shepard to be notified before we even got there. When we hit the ground sure, wouldn’t give him time to escape but not while we were so close.
We all wore our black uniforms. I had my black vest that had my country’s flag on the top over my heavy black jacket. My black cargo pants with my utility belt and side arm. My black helmet that had my night vision goggles on. It was my favorite one to wear when going on missions.
Ghost had all black as well wearing his old skull mask with balaclava on. His black make up covering his skin. Having the helmet that everyone else wore. He looked over at me and we stared for a moment before Price tapped my shoulder. “Once we land we head straight for that building.” He ordered throwing his cigar out of the helo.
I nodded and so did Ghost, we watched below us as we flew past the ruined buildings. The outlines of them anyway. It was quite a sight to see, I never seen somewhere so destroyed. Old? I don’t know but it was eerie. “Touching down in 30 seconds Cap.” Kat said over coms.
“Solid copy,” He acknowledged looking over to find the other helo dropping off the others. “All Bravo we head straight to the building kill anything insight, leave Shepard alive.” He ordered.
“Rog.” Gaz said back as we touched down.
We scrambled out putting on our night vision goggles. The green illuminated everything around us. Guiding us through the pitch dark. We had our weapon raised ready to shot anyone behind the barrel.
Price made a signal for us to stop and we all crouched down. I scanned the area seeing a squad was lurking out of the building standing and talking. They weren’t speaking Russian. “Americans?” I whispered.
“Yeah,” Ghost said before pointing. “Flag on the shoulder.”
I looked closer and the flag was right where he said it would be. Price sighed. “Shoot the middle one when ready Fox,” He whispered. “I will take the left and Ghost take the right.”
We both nodded before I lifted my gun up, pulling the trigger while they all dropped. We moved up and entered into the building. “All Bravo we have entered into front entry.” Price announced before scanning the room.
Ghost was next to me as we headed down a hallway, I was looking left and he was looking right. We both heard footsteps ahead of us and we moved out guns in that direction only to be met with Soap. He nodded at us as we came up to the stairs that led down. “Go down.” Price ordered as we took cautious steps down.
There was a dim light at the bottom of the stairs. We heard chatter, amongst others. When we got down, Ghost placed his arm across my chest, pointing down. I looked down and there was a tripwire. He followed it to the wall and disarmed it, he went first looking around and disarming traps.
“We will move tomorrow,” Shepard. I looked over at Ghost and he nodded as we kept moving forward. “We can’t stay here any longer.”
“Of course sir.” A merc said back.
Ghost looked in the room and nodded. Soap sent through the radio morse code that Shepard was here. “Go in, we will be down there.” Price said. Ghost kneeled in front of the doorway while I shot above him.
The three merc dropped and Shepard was reaching for a weapon but I shot where his hand would have been placed. He shot his hands up in surrender. “Get on your knees now!” Ghost yelled going around the table pulling him and the chair he was in out.
“You all finally found me,” Shepard said slowly getting on his knees. Soap came around zip tying his hands together. “What happens now Price?”
I took a small glance out of the door, as Price walked in. “I told you General that after I killed your dog you would be next.” He rested his arm on his gun looking down at him.
Shepard didn’t look too good, a beard starting out. He looked like he didn’t sleep or couldn’t, wearing some baggy clothes. He was starting to look like his age, then being kept up. I kept aiming my barrel right at him. If I kill him now my nightmares will be gone. He was the last of them.
“Why are you here General?” Price asked looking down at him.
Shepard laughed for a moment. “Why would I tell you that?”
“You have about 5 guns aimed at you,” Price looked over at me. “I am counting at least one of us wants a bullet in you.”
Ghost looked up at me, I ignored his stare just like the rest of them. “I could just let them kill you now,” Price sighed before leveling himself to his level. “Unfortunately your country wants you.”
“Of course,” Shepard smacked his lips. “Patriotic isn’t it? They want to see why I had to do what I had to do. I had to John you and I both know it.”
“We all make choices General,” Price said sounding even less convinced. “Why are you here?”
Shepard just shook his head. “John, I needed to be here, you know that.”
“Makarov.” We all looked over at Yuri. He was standing in the doorway. “You are here for Makarov.”
Shepard glared at him smiling. “A new member? Or just a little helper like the Los Vaqueros?”
Yuri looked at Price. “Give me a couple minutes with him alone,” I glared at Yuri. “I can get him to talk.”
“You gotta be kidding,” I whispered. “The captain can get him…”
“Cut it,” Price said looking at Yuri, before nodding. “Fine. 3 minutes that’s all you get.”
I still had my barrel at Shepard. “Sir all do respect at least one of us should be in here, just in case the General lashes out.”
“Looks like you need some sleep Allison,” Shepard said Soap, pushing him to be quiet. “How is sleeping lately?”
“Can it,” I said looking over at Price. “What if Yuri gets overwhelmed?”
Price thought about it before looking over at Yuri. “2 minutes, if anything goes south yell.” I snapped my head over at Ghost who was eyeing Yuri for a moment. “We will be outside.” Before motioning for us to leave those two alone.
We all stood outside of the room for 2 minutes but it was the longest goddamn 2 minutes. “Sir we should just kill him,” I said out loud, everyone looking over at me. “He is more dangerous alive.”
Price lit a cigar puffing on it before nodding. “I agree, the only problem is that the United States wants him back alive to give him a fair trial.”
“We could say there was a firefight. We had no choice.” Soap suggested mumbling it mostly.
Gaz sighed. “Unfortunately that would be illegal.”
“Illegal yes if we got caught.” I said, smirking.
Price shook his head. “We would,” He finished the cigar by putting it out, wrapping it back up and placing it in his side pocket. “We see it first hand, eventually your sins catch up to ya.”
Yuri opened the door shaking his hand then looked up at us. “I had to punch him.” Ghost walked passed him going to check on Shepard of course.
“Why was he here? And where is Makarov?” Price said placing his hands on his vest.
Yuri’s smiled faded. “Shepard thought he could become buddy buddies with Makarov. However, Shepard crossed him so Makarov is hunting him down,” Yuri explained looking behind him to watch Ghost haul Shepard out. “Now I don’t know where Makarov is now but in a couple of days, I know where he will be.”

It is what it is
Price x (f)reader

Part 1 ((Maybe??))
Summary: You weren't seen as a high-ranking solider, and you were stuck in a position you didn't want, directly by General Shepard's side. You get a call one day about a new opportunity that will help you.

Callsign: Hound
There was nothing you wanted more than to slam this man's head into his desk, ram a pen right between his eyes, and then slam the door behind you on the way out. Maybe even set the building on fire while you at it. Every day you were in his office, standing next to him, every day his attempts to flirt with you were bolder and bolder, every day you NEVER left his sight, he always knew where you were, what you were doing, and how you were doing it.
The only thing he didn't know about were your memories before meeting him. That was the only thing that brought you order and stability, it gave you clarity that you were still alive and breathing. To be able to feel other emotions other than annoyance, anger and discomfort.
Given how much time has passed since you last saw John and Kyle, you've always wondered what they're up to and whether they're still working together. Did they forget about you? Did they meet anybody who replaced you in some way? How are they doing? Given that General Shepard talks about them from time to time, it's good to know that they're both are still alive. Did they miss you... did John miss you?
"Hound."
You cringed, the sound of his voice alone makes you want to pop off.
"Yes sir?"
General Shepard smiled hearing you answer. "How's your day been darlin' I forgot to ask."
"It's been fine sir," you said trying to hide annoyance.
"That's wonderful, so do you have any plans tonight?"
"No sir."
"That's a bummer, then how about you and I go out to dinner tonight, say around 7PM?"
As General Shepard examined every inch of your physique, focusing primarily on your chest and hips, you sighed and gave him a little glare.
"No sir, but thank you."
"You know darlin', it doesn't hurt to smile," Shepard chuckled gently, looking annoyed himself.
You raised your brow, as you showed your teeth in a forceful smile, "No thank you sir."
Shepard stared at you blankly for a moment, before letting out a sigh. He ran his hands over his face then leaned back in his chair. "It won't kill you to say yes."
"It might..." you mumbled.
"Pardon?"
"Nothing sir."
Shepard's brows furrowed as he stood up, eyeing you up and down a slight scowl on his face, "Hound I didn't have to help you to earn your rank."
You stared at him; yes, he was the one who assigned you those assignments, but you completed them on your own, without a partner or team. You were tasked with tracking down those who had wronged Shepard. Finding people was what you were skilled at, turning loose ends into faded memories.
"It's against the rules… sir." you stated bluntly in response to his irritated stare.
Shepard made his way around his desk and over to you. Gritting your teeth, you prepare for the worst. He placed his hand on your neck, making you tilt your head to look up at him.
"I don't give a damn about rules, I give a damn about respect." Shepard said through gritted teeth. "You need to show respect to the person who got you to the spot you are today. Without me Hound you would've been a lost cause, just another war veteran with PTSD and anxiety."
Shepard put his other hand on your hip, firmly pulling you in. You bit your tongue in the hope that he wasn't actually taking pleasure in this when you felt something pressing up against you. You closed your eyes, tears threatening to spill out, but you didn't want to give him the satisfaction of seeing you vulnerable, that he was getting under your skin, getting to your head, getting to you.
"Get off me," you said through gritted teeth.
"Hound, I own you, I built you, and I shaped you into the solider you are. So, solider, when I ask you a question, I expect a cheerful yes sir," Shepard scowled at you. He sank his head into your neck giving you a firm nip, going down to lick your neck. You squirmed at the feeling, you held your eyes shut trying to think of anything other then Shepard.
The phone rang, Shepard's phone rang. Shepard pulled away from you with a scoff. You took this as a cue to leave the room, the only time you were free without Shepard was during his phone calls rather the meetings.
You sped walked out of his office and down the hall making a dash to the bathrooms, turning the corner you heavily bumped into someone.
"Jesus!" It was a woman, you turned your head to see a woman with short blonde hair and a red scarf around her neck. You swore you have seen her before. You continued walking toward the restroom, nearly ripping the door off its hinges. You looked in the mirror as you walked to the sink. He didn't leave a bite mark, you sighed in relief shutting your eyes.
You were numb, cold, humiliated, and alone.
You missed your old friends, you missed your life before the military, whether it was good or bad. You loved the military but if you would have known this is where you'd end up. Having a craving delusional war-hungry commander who, for some reason, is attracted to you to the point of obsession and poses a threat to your family at home while you are highly ranked and well-respected by those around you You would never have joined.
After a few minutes you began to head back. As easy it would be if you just walked out the building you knew there would be a negative chain reaction to it. There always was. That's how your family was threatened, because you tried to run.
You knocked against Shepard's door hoping the phone call was still going on.
"Come in."
After exhaling forcefully, you turned the doorknob to find Shepard and the woman you had just run into in the hallway inside. You recognized her now, Kate, Kate Lawsell, Price's close friend.
"Good to see you again, solider."
Your eyes widened, you straightened up, and saluted. "Please excuse my impoliteness in the corridors, ma'am."
You shifted your gaze between Shepard and Kate. What's going on? Shepard looked at you, then back at Kate, then gave her a firm nod and sat in his chair. He was grabbing something from behind his desk, pulling out a file and sliding it to Kate. Kate took it, and you took a good look at the file, which had your picture on it.
Kate turned to you, "You're coming with me solider. So now is a good time to start saying your farewells; I'll meet you outside."
You felt cold again after Kate left the room, leaving you alone with Shepard. His gaze swept over your body once more. "Something came up, and you're being recruited for your services, so we'll have to reschedule that date, hun."
He was letting you go. You couldn't help but bit your lip trying to hold back a smile, you gave Shepard a salute then turned on your heel heading out the door.
"Hound, before you go."
You paused, chills running down your back.
"Remember what I said, I built you, try running from me like the last time, get ready to attend a funeral, have a safe trip my dear."
My dear? He's called you other names, but never MY dear. That was new, strangely new...
When you walked outdoors, Kate was standing next to a black Jeep. At first, she appeared concentrated, but as you got closer, she appeared puzzled. She was looking through the file that had your picture on it.
"Are you alright ma'am?" You asked.
Kate shut the file in her hands and looked up at you, she nodded giving you a small smile. "Yeah, how are you doing?"
"I'm okay ma'am, just ready to get on the field again."
"I see, well then let's get going."
. . .
You lost track of time, you were in the car with Kate, then you were in the 'copter without Kate, and now your in another car with Kate.
"Ma'am?"
"Hey Hound how'd you sleep?"
You yawned slightly, "Not the best... are we there yet?"
Kate chuckled, "A few more minutes, you think you can stay awake until then?"
You chuckled, "Yes ma'am."
A moment of silence fell between you two before Kate spoke up again.
"How was it like being under Shepard all this time?"
You starred out the window, you were hoping you could avoid anything that had to do with Shepard. "It's not something I've gotten used to..."
"Really? It's been years since I've last seen you, I didn't think you and him were close."
You raised your brow at Kate. Close? What did she mean by close?
"Uh- I wouldn't say close, quite the opposite actually ma'am."
"Oh well that's interesting... were here."
Kate couldn't have asked you that out of curiosity, you blinked. She asked because of the file, or was it something Shepard said to her—could she tell by the way you moved in the hallway?—or was it something in the file itself?
The car stopped in front a remote semi large military area. There were not that many soldiers here, you hopped out of the car waiting for Kate. But Kate stayed in the car, you turned to look at her but a rough chuckle caught your attention. You recognized it, you knew that laugh from anywhere.
A smile crept across your lips as you turned around to face John Price himself. Your body relaxed, but your tummy was filled with butterflies that weren't going away anytime soon. He seemed too good to be true standing here, he looked really good. You wanted to hug him. However, your eyes spoke volumes. As Price came closer and put his hand on your shoulder, you blinked slowly, your breath stopping in your throat as you felt your body clench up. What made you so tense? It was only John…
Price seemed to catch on, "You alright?"
"Yeah..." You said trailing off a bit. Price moved his hand away from you then looked at Kate.
Price gestured with his finger to give him a minute as he walked to speak with Kate. You trailed off to the sides, watching the soldiers go about their business. You stared up at the setting sun. You smiled, it had been a while since you'd left Shepard's sight, and even if Price was working for Shepard, which seemed likely, you didn't mind too much. It didn't matter as long as he wasn't anywhere near you.
Right now, Shepard couldn't touch you, he couldn't stare at you, he couldn't degrade you with his words. Right now you were free. You hope so.
"Pretty isn't it?" Price said walking over to you. You looked at him and from the corner of your eye you could see Kate's car heading off back where you guys had came.
"Very pretty, how've you been John? You've been taking care of yourself really well," You said.
Price chuckled, "That I have been, I can see you've been doing the same."
You shrugged, "I try, some days are harder than others."
Price nodded, "I hear ya on that one, one day after another there's always a surprise."
"Yup, so... where's Gaz?" You asked slightly eagerly.
Price hummed giving you a soft smile, one you haven't seen in a long time. It made you feel shy, and the butterflies were not helping. Price gestured towards the building. "Come on, I'll introduce you to the others."
You walked inside the building behind Price, he led you down a few halls and into a mess hall where not many people were in. Everyone was eating and talking among each other not really paying you to much mind until you walked past them.
Price led you to a back table where you could make out a tall guy with a skull mask, a guy with a mow hawk with Scottish accent and there across from them sat Gaz with his back facing you and Price.
The Scottish guy was talking until he stopped Price and gave him a greeting, before noticing you. "Hey captain, who's the lass?"
Gaz turned around, seeing you smiled peering around Price. Gaz shot up almost chocking on his food. You went up to Gaz patting his back as he began to cough.
You giggled, “I just got here don’t die on me now.”
“Hound! It’s good to see you! It’s been so long!” Gaz wrapped an arm around you giving you a quick hug. You felt your body tense up for a moment until he released you, “How are you? Last I heard about you was that were running solo on missions.”
“Unfortunately, but nothing I can’t handle,” you grinned. “Even got the scars to prove it.”
“I bet,” Price chuckled. “Now, as you both heard this is Hound, she’s going to be joining us from here on out, now Hound this here is Ghost and this one is Soap.”
Your raised your brow, “Soap? What type of name is Soap?”
Gaz and Price laughed while Ghost gave a slight chuckle. Soap stared at you in shock but his smile never faltered.
“Pft yeah? What kind of name is Hound huh,” Soap said back.
You hummed, “At least mines makes sense.”
“Wow,” Soap laughed. “Okay fine, we’ll then welcome to the team Hound.”
Price placed his hand on your shoulder gently this time, your eyes darted to his hand. You felt your body tense up again, you did the same with Gaz too… these were people you know, people you trusted. Your mind knew this, so why was your body acting so different?
Price’s tone shifted slightly, “Welcome to task force 141 Hound, I’m glad you came.”
“Me too…”

"Hmm.." A gentle hum woke me from my slumber.
It definitely wasn’t Winston, for he would be giving me ‘Good morning now feed me’ kisses if it was him. I nudged my leg, feeling Winston down at my feet under the covers.
“..mi amar..” The voice came from behind me and I knew exactly who it was.
I tiredly rolled over and creeped my eyes open, to find Alejandro still fast asleep. So he is talking in his sleep, I never heard him do that before. He laid on his stomach, arms wrapped around his big pillow and his face facing towards me.
“..Amy..” Alejandro mumbled, his lips barely moving as he did so.
I giggled, seeing my Ale in his most vulnerable state. I leaned in close, our foreheads touching, wanting him awake but also not wanting to disturb his sleep. I shut my eyes, happy to be in such a close embrace with him, knowing that he is indeed home.
~
“Ale.”
“What?” Alejandro said with a chuckle.
“What do you have planned up your sleeve?” I ask, feeling as if there was a hidden reason for today.
“Nothing, hermosa. Just wanted to spoil you for today.” Alejandro lied through his teeth.
Alejandro has been nervous all day for whatever reason. Anytime I held his hand I could feel his nerves jittering and him staring off, as if he was in deep thought about something. He has taken me to my favorite local Italian place, bought me roses, some chocolates, some new clothing, and now we were taking a small hike to our favorite spot up on the hills.
“So there’s no reason as to why you are taking me up the hill to our favorite spot under the tree?” I question with a smirk.
“Nope.” Alejandro says, once again trying to keep up with the lie.
Even though Alejandro is a sweetheart and a great lover, he is also a crappy liar. We eventually made it up the hill under our favorite oak tree. He first took me here when he first came back from a mission and told me that if I ever miss him dearly, to come here and sit and watch the sunset. Sometimes it helps and sometimes the intense feeling of missing him remains. The hill is just outside of town, a five minute drive at most, but Alejandro and I will often have picnics here or just come up here with some good wine and just be engulfed in each other's arms as the sun goes down. Once it’s dark, depending how much we have drunk, we will go home or give in to each other’s desires until we sober up.
“Sunset is beautiful tonight.” I commented as we both stood there, watching the sun slowly go down.
“Not as beautiful as you, Amelia.” Alejandro says, standing behind me and wrapping his arms around me.
He nuzzled his face into my neck, his stubble tickling me.
“You need to trim that, Ale.” I joke, making him laugh.
“Thought you liked the beard.”
“I do!” I say, leaning into him.
I turned my attention back to the sunset, as the yellow sky slowly turned into a deep orange with some red splashed in there, like a Van Gough painting. The more the sun went down, the more colors popped. It was so beautiful. So, so beautiful. I loved this spot and I am so glad that it is Ale and I’s spot. Some stars were starting to pop up, indicating that it will be dark very soon.
“Amelia?”
I didn’t even realize Alejandro left from behind until he said my name. I was so immersed in the sunset to not even realize.
“Yes, Al-?”
I stopped to see Alejandro down on one knee, holding something in his hand and looking up at me with a gleam in his eyes and a big smile. A big, nervous smile. I could feel my heart racing, feeling as though I know what he is going to ask.
“Amelia, you have made the happiest and most lucky guy in all of Las Almas. It was fate and destiny that brought us together and because of you, I have something to look forward to after every mission or anytime I am away.”
“Y-You’ve made me so happy too, Alejandro.” I stuttered, staring dead at him, preparing myself for what he was going to ask.
Alejandro reached into his pocket and pulled a little box out, opening it and revealing a beautiful silver ring.
“¿Te casarías conmigo mi amor?”
Will you marry me, my love? I couldn’t even believe he asked me that just now. I know he was waiting for my answer, but the words nearly couldn’t leave my mouth.
“Sí. Sí, Alejandro!”
I jumped into his arms as I cried out my answer and Alejandro gladly took me into his embrace, both of us crying with joy, feeling each other's love and joy for each other.
~
“Amelia?” A tired husky voice spoke to me, knocking me out of my daydreaming.
I opened one eye to find a tired looking Alejandro looking at me but still in the same position he was sleeping in.
“Did I wake you?”
“No.”
I could tell that he really wanted to sleep in, but his natural alarm clock wouldn’t let him. I leaned in even closer, and Alejandro cupped my cheek, rubbing my skin with his thumb.
“Feels so good to wake up next to you, querida.”
“Same here.” I agreed.
His deep brown eyes stared into my bright blue ones enjoying the silence between us. The beautiful morning silence. Alejandro leaned in and pecked my nose with his lips.
“Want me to make breakfast?” Alejandro offered.
“How about you sit your fine ass on the dining table with some coffee and I make breakfast?” I suggest.
Alejandro smirked, knowing I was gonna fight him tooth and nail about letting him even do any ounce of work after coming home from a mission.
“Alright, sounds good.” Ale said.
Suddenly a mass rose from under the covers and headed up towards us, revealing Winston. Winston gave both of us kisses, wagging his tail seeing his parents were awake at the same time as him. I pet him, even though his attention was on Alejandro.
“Alright I’ll start some coffee and breakfast and you can feed Winston and let him do his business. . How about that?” I suggest.
“Deal.” Alejandro said.
Despite our mental protests, we both rose from bed, stretching and forcing our bodies awake. Alejandro slipped a t-shirt on and left the room with Winston on his trail. Feeling how chilly it was in our home, I slipped on some sleep pants and lounged out of our room, be-lining for the kitchen. I immediately started some coffee and the smell of fresh coffee filled the home, enjoying the smell of it. Alejandro came back a few minutes later through the front door, unclipping Winston’s leash. He smiled at me as he followed Winston to where his food container was, coming back a second later with a cup with some of Winston’s food in it. Alejandro dumped the food into his food bowl, disappearing into the laundry room once again to put the cup up and make sure the food container was sealed shut. He came back in and I started breakfast at that point, starting some sunny side up eggs and toast. Once Winston was done eating, he trailed at my feet, smelling the aroma of food cooking, as if his breakfast wasn’t enough for him.
“Winston, down.” Alejandro commanded.
“He's fine.” I reassure him.
I felt Alejandro get behind me and hold me close, pushing his hands under the shirt and rubbing my belly.
“Something on your mind?” I ask.
Alejandro shrugged his shoulders, keeping his large hands on my belly. He then leaned in and placed a peck on my neck.
“Just..thinking.”
“About what?” I asked as I made our plates with our finished food.
“Well what if we added another little one to the family?”
“Another Winston?”
Alejandro chuckled at my comment, but I could tell he was meaning something else. Alejandro gently placed his hands on my hips and spun me around, facing him. Alejandro held my chin, looking deep into my eyes.
“I mean..expanding the Vargas family, you know?”
Kids. Kids, you idiot, that's what he is talking about.
“Oh! That! Of course!”
I mentally facepalmed myself, while Ale laughed.
“I mean I've thought of it. It definitely wouldn't be something I'm against. It's just with your work and all..” I trail off, not wanting to hurt Alejandro.
“I know, cariña, I know.”
He knew exactly what I meant. I have had many thoughts and daydreams about Alejandro and I being human parents. Everytime I see a couple pushing the stroller with their baby inside, I can't help but imagine that with Ale and I. Boy or girl, it doesn't matter. I just wanted a family with Alejandro. But his job. His damn job. I just leaned back, my head resting on his chest.
“We will talk about it later. Let's just enjoy the moment now.” I suggested.
“Yes.” Alejandro agreed.
Alejandro let go of me and we both sat at the dining table, eating the breakfast I made for the both of us, enjoying each other's company. Something we haven't been able to do for a long while now.
“Have you heard from John and them?” I ask.
It's nearing about that time for our monthly hang out.
“Yes actually.” Alejandro said, setting down his coffee, “they are coming to us this time.”
Oh, thank God.
“What do they want to do?” I asked.
“Well, and I'll help you with it of course, is it alright with you if we cook and they come here?” Alejandro suggested.
“Of course!” I exclaimed with excitement.
“Awesome, I'll let them know.” Alejandro said as he took his phone out and started messaging them.
I watched him intently. Just him doing something as simple as texting is elegant. He is just that handsome. I love him so much. So, so much..
