We are off once again. This time hitting the road to Indianapolis for the biggest game convention around, Gencon. Last year was a big reduction due to Covid. I guess we'll see what this year brings. Vaccination and masks are required, but it's a huge event in any case.
I'll be posting photos over the next several days. Since I can get a lot of the games at a discount at work, we won't buy quite as much this year. Unless I'm going to die if I don't have it right now.
@sp00ky-p00ky is joining us for the fun this year, and Julian will be coming for his second Gencon. He's looking forward to a lot of MtG events.

So happy I got to go to gen con this year with two of my best buds! I saw so many fantastic and amazing critical role cosplays while in the parade! As well as a few fantastic bird folk cosplays and the alien frog mom from the madolorian!
I sadly did not get a picture of pâté in action so if anyone did it would be greatly apprecieted if you sent a pic my way!
(Here’s the process for how I made the staff for fearn. It’s actually just an old fishing pole, an old candle holder, and a few flowers hot glued onto a stick I found in my back yard. All for 10$)

A local Indianapolis knitting shop, Mass Ave Knits, is partnering with xyz game labs to yarn bomb the flower planters at the Indiana Convention Center for GENCON ‘22. They are asking for 4in tall x 9in (don’t cut the tail!) wide pieces that are either garter stitched (knitting) or single crochet (crochet). Worsted weight yarn is preferable! If you’re local to Indy, you can just drop it off at the shop in Fountain Square just past the Virginia Avenue bridge, or it can be mailed to 2653 S. Ritter Indianapolis, In 46203 . Please include your home town.
Further information can be found on their website. If you want to contribute, pieces should be in by mid-July.

GenCon: Aftermath
Ok, that sounds way more dramatic than it probably needs to be, but auto text suggested it, so I’m going to let it stand.
We came back from Indianapolis on Monday and then I took a nap because I was still tired. Then again, I was a lot more active than I have been for a long time. Lots of walking and staying up late and getting up early the next day.
