The eldest of the three siblings, Visenya was described as callous and unforgiving. She grew up training alongside, Aegon. And because of this, she made a fearsome opponent on the battlefield as well as in the air.

Aegon wed Visenya out of duty, and there was no romantic love between them. However, there was respect - possibly even friendship, albeit distant. Their personalities were very similar. Both being introverted, assertive and logical.

It was a shock to everyone when Aegon took another wife, his youngest sister, Rhaenys. It was not said how the relationship between Visenya and Rhaenys was, only that they were the complete opposite of one another (and that Aegon favored Rhaenys).

Visenya bonded with Vhagar, large and battle-reared, who made any and every man tremble. It was with the help of the young Vhagar, that the realms were conquored and united.

Visenya wielded the Valyrian longsword, Dark Sister. It was one of the two ancestoral swords of House Targaryen (the other being Blackfyre).

She had one son with Aegon, who did not continue the Targaryen line, although tried he did. His name was Maegor the Cruel.

It was also rumoured that Visenya dabbled with poisions and dark sorceries. Some rumours claim that that is how Maegor was conceived; through dark magic.

hi there! i was just wondering, do you have any fancasts for cregan stark? like anyone you could see as him before s2 comes out? sorry if this is a weird question :(

Not a weird question at all! I'm a massive fan of the asoiaf universe & probably know more about Westeros history than I do actual history, so questions like this are my favorite! I'm sure they’ll be casting a relatively unknown actor to play him, but until then here are a few I think could fit the role as Cregan Stark!

CLIVE STANDEN

While reading about Cregan Stark I had always envisioned him to resemble season one Rollo (Clive Standen) from VIkings! Sadly, Clive is too old to portray Cregan in HOTD as it seems they’re going to stick to his canon age, which was around 21-23 during the Dance of the Dragons.

Honestly I think Gijs Blom is the perfect fancast for Cregan! His entire look in The Letter for the King reminded me of a Stark. Kinda reminds me of Robb. He’s also 25 so as I mentioned earlier he’s the perfect age for a fancast closer to canon! I can only imagine the HOTD team getting their hands on him— all he needs is a wig and some fur. He’s my personal preference and most likely the one I’ll be using for future Cregan fics!

Despite being a bit older (late 20s), I could also see Leo Suter as another option! He’s got the mass and height that Cregan is said to have. His performance in Vikings: Valhalla was, in my opinion, outstanding. Leo has a natural aura about him that just screams House Stark. I think he is a fantastic contender for the fancast of Cregan Stark!

stark family fancast / rickard stark edition

1.) Clive Standen in his role as Rollo in the show, Vikings might be my favorite Rickard fancast, looks similar to Sean Bean while projecting that lord stark vibe

2.) Matthew McNulty in his role as Lucian Grimaud in the show, the Musketeers is another good one: he has the usual stark features and i think he gives off very much tired lord whose gotta go to King’s Landing after his son threatened the crown prince’s life to face a mad king vibes

3.) Richard Armitage in his role as Prince Thorin in the Hobbit is classic Warden of the North vibes, i really like fancasts that i can find pictures of them with furs on because it’s such a northern symbol of power

4.) Lloyd Owen in his role as Elendil in Rings of Power. Lloyd also looks similar to Sean Bean and has the stark features and is usually in some armour for this show.

The firstborn child of Steffon Baratheon and Cassan Estermont, Robert was the first-ever Baratheon king and the seventeenth ruler of the Seven Kingdoms.

In his youth, he and his brother Stannis watched as his parent’s ship crashed onto the rocks at Storms End. It was a tragedy, one that had hardened Stannis. Robert inherited the lordship and became familiar with the responsibilities of leadership (well, more so the pleasures). Robert was then guided by Jon Arryn, the head of House Arryn, who lorded over the Vale and the Erie.

Another young man was also fostered by Jon Arryn - Eddard, ‘Ned’, Stark. He and Robert became best friends and soon saw each other as brothers.

However soon a war would break out, and be forever known as ‘Robert’s Rebellion.’ After his betrothed, Lyanna Stark, was ‘abducted’ by Rhaegar Targaryen, Robert vowed to get her back. But it wasn’t until the deaths of Ned Stark’s father and brother that truly sparked the rebellion. They had protested the kidnapping of Lyanna and the Mad King had them executed.

After the Mad King and Rhaegar’s deaths, Robert claimed the Iron Throne and continued what would be known forever as, the game of thrones.

Due to the influence of Jon Arryn, Robert apprehensively married a young Cersei Lannister. Together they *had* three children; Joffrey, Myrcella and Tommen. However, outside of his marriage, Robert would go on to have many, many more children.

He pointed to the spear, then to my mother's tears, and I picked up the spear. 'I told you she was mine,' my father said, and took me. My mother drank herself to death within the year.
