i had a job interview this morning and the woman basically said 'we're looking for someone w/ more of X experience so that's a concern" & i appreciate that she was honest and took the time to interview me but like...if I'm unlikely to get the position given my qualifications, why are we wasting time?

i'm tired and grumpy and i want a full time job with benefits, preferably that doesn't involve standing all day because my body hurts

So school has already started and my course load is kind of a lot, plus I work a full time job, and I’m trying to flip a house, and I have family vacations and other engagements. It’s going to be a busy couple of months, but I have some interesting reading coming down the pipeline this semester and I’m excited to share some of it with you all!!

I started a new IT job this week. My supe has me on site this whole week for 'onboarding' purposes 🙄 (I'll be working 3 days on site In a month... But still) And let me tell you, idk how ppl are able to sustain any semblance of a life when working 8 hours a day or more in an office/at work. Context, I've been working 3 days remote/fully remote since covid happened. And the mere fact that I have to get up and be at work at 8am and get home around 6p has my entire existence in shambles.

How are you supposed to get anything done in your personal life? I was thinking about it and I've only worked a full time job for 3 years total through various jobs (on-site) and I'll be 33 in the summer. Every other job has been part time. And at every one of those full time jobs, I was absolutely miserable. Falling asleep as soon as I got home. Not eating healthy, not working out, not being able to get a full night's sleep and generally just in a bad mood.

I don't like that version of myself. It's so depressing.
