when you catch rafe's eyes again, you feel a familiar sense of self-satisfaction course through your veins. of course he's looking—he should be surprised he can even look away.
you always look great, but today is something special, a pretty strapless dress decorating your body, something similar to the color of rafe's eyes. so, like always, it's no wonder he can't look away.
but you can't let the bastard think he's got you thinking about how often he is looking at you. it's all very confusing, so you don't glance back, trying to stay engrossed in your conversation with your friends. a few drinks and thirty minutes later, your eyes travel back to rafe.
and though he is still looking at you, there's some other girl in front of him, talking to him. the girl you recognize, someone who used to frequent tannyhill. on more than one occasion she's wandered down the kitchen when you and sarah are making waffles and sipping overpriced coffee. when you'd seen her, she'd been in rafe's clothes.
you hadn't cared much then, treated her the same you'd treat anyone. even now, with the girl in front of him trying to capture his attention and the idiot's eyes still on you, you feel the same—mildly annoyed at her, beyond irritated at him.
he thinks he can make you jealous. it's even cute that he's trying. this time you do stare back at rafe, a little annoyed at yourself for thinking about how cute he looks today. you like him in blue, you like that he's matching you.
"why are you staring at my brother?" sarah questions, and you smile in his direction.
"get your shit straight, sarah. he's staring at me." you wave at rafe, smiling sweetly before looking away. you don't have to see his face to know how it fell at your reaction.
"ugh. now he's coming over here. i'm not sticking around for this." you direct your smile at sarah.
"who asked you to stay?" she rolls her eyes at you.
"match made in heaven," she mutters, walking away in the other direction. when rafe approaches you, you stay seated on the couch, sipping your drink and observing your nails. they're baby blue—and you wonder how you'd come to that decision in the salon yesterday. of course, you know the answer.
"what the hell was that?" rafe barks, and you resist the eyeroll for as long as you can. last time he said if you rolled them at him again, he'd slap them out of your head, and though you want to test his theory, you'd prefer it in the privacy of his bedroom.
"just saying hi, rafe. you know i've met that poor girl before, at tannyhill. i'm surprised you even let her sleep over, you seem like the type-"
"can you shut up about her? what the hell was-"
"you already said that. and why would i shut up? you're the one yapping away to her. you know, you must be great in bed."
"excuse me?"
"i mean, you treat a girl that shitty and she's still willing to speak to you? she must remember something good. but knowing you it can't be for the conversation."
"..thanks?"
"you're welcome." you glance up at him again, but your eyes track back to the girl watching the two of you, the one he left behind to come talk to you. "i know you're a dick but don't be a dick. go finish talking to her. it's rude."
"i don't wanna talk to her."
"well, you're not talking to me."

Dead End Paranormal Park shit I need to talk about and I feel bad for my discord server so:
I was expecting a Barney/Logs kiss to be monumental like the first Lumity or Catradora kiss, or at least something like Troyson or Bubbline. But NOOO, I just get SLAPPED IN THE FACE with it right at the beginning of the first episode.
And on the subject, I distinctly remember thinking “I wonder if they’ll have Barney tell Logs he loves them or smth” as I clicked on the second episode. I WAS NOT PREPARED.
Logs is a non-binary gay person. Don’t even fight me on this I’m right.
I was. So. Fucking. Excited. Watching Norma realize her crush on Badyah. It was literally exactly how I realized my crush on my friend and I was so excited to have those two canon.
I was fucking wrong.
Barney talking about transphobia?! Barney talking about people asking about his binder?! THIS SHOW FUCKIN RULES.
Again, I was very wrong about Badyah and Norma.
Badyah rejecting Norma hurt. So fucking much. The rawness of it all just stung so much.
BUT. I HAVE NEVER HEARD ANYONE SAY THE WORDS “I’m straight” IN A KIDS’ CARTOON. It was astronomical. In shows nowadays, queer rep is so far and few between you don’t have any characters to get rejected. So to see Badyah let down Norma as softly as she did, explaining she’s straight then immediately going into a mini sexuality crisis was amazing. Norma’s tears though.
Gonna be honest, was worried about the Josh thing for a minute.
Honestly, I wouldn’t even mind Norma x Zagan. I mean, Zagan’s canonically queer, and I can get behind a good height-difference ship. Also, I love the dynamic of “Morally grey but with a heart of gold x literal demon” Buuuuut Zagan being like 1600 comes with its Twilightes-esque issues.

Norma regretting everything when her connection to Badyah was lost just hit me in the worst way. The exact same thing happened to me about a year ago - I had a straight crush who was also my best friend, I told her I liked her and we...drifted apart. Everything about Norma's regret from the whole thing is so perfectly written, from her staring at photos of her and Badyah to insisting she's over the crush to being so incredibly excited when she thinks Badyah has come round to her house. I've never been able to relate to a character this much before, and adding on to the fact that Norma has social anxiety and can fixate on one thing until it becomes her entire personality...it just hit me so hard.
Am I still allowed to ship Norma and Badyah? They just meant so much to me before that episode. Is it problematic now? Coz it’s either that or aroace hetero-leaning Badyah.

The use of the word bi? An entire conversation about how hard it is to come out? The use of the word gay? Norma literally chanting “bi bi bi” like NSWNC?! Screaming, crying.

ok then how about if lucy was born naturally instead of being an ecto-child effectively resulting in her having no post scratch equivalent in a2, ergo leading to raz being a b1 human instead of an a2 troll
and shenanigans result in lucy entering the b1 earth where she saws off her horns and takes the identity of a human, specifically marona after witnessing a meteor body her, said meteor was bearing an infant augustus, of whom she adopts on the spot

while homestuck doesn't generally seem to say that trolls can have siblings, I do like the typical fanon theories that trolls sharing the same symbol/bloodtype or lusus could generally be considered siblings, so I like that as an explaination for norma and lizzie :-)
tho if I could suggest I feel like ford/norma should be burgundy instead of cobalt. ford doesn't seem like a higher royalty type + norma's most interesting when she's trying really hard to prove she's worth respecting and being treated seriously
all the other blood colors are chill tho no more objections there
if you wanna make the p7 and interns trolls, having lucy assume human marona's identity is a neat way to refer back to the original comic and the game at the same time, so thats fun too
back to the original set up you suggested, when you didnt know who should be with lucy cal and truman, the way you had set it up makes it look like you drew a connection between cal and dogen, which is Interesting. dart's a weird enigma of a cut character and while unfortunately I do not typically dig into the lipo documents bc I don't care for them, might I suggest that fuckin weirdo who ford originally had his mind shattering dual with.
if you don't feel like using such a weird useless character tho, maybe uuuuuuh boyd? he's basically like the PN poster child for its mind level designs. that feels natural feels organic, the rest of the thorny towers crew could get bit rolls or something.
Sheegor is also an option. her and cal having to be on the same team would be a nightmare
those are a bunch of different roads to go down, and like I said I might like develop my own take on the au but you keep truckin bc sburb is a mess and there's many doors

CONTINUATION!! FROM THIS VERY LONG POST OVER HERE-
re; a summary (very very long) of some choice beats of Elysium!Loki’s past pre-Elysium but also pre-2012 ….. movie and 2011 movie. and. we’ll go over there and read that post first. it should have all been one but I have discovered that tumblr has a CHARACTER LIMIT IN TEXT POSTS??? nervous laughter well THATS how long this and that is……..
[tw here for. well again. but very much here. child death and uhh murder and uhhhhh suicide.] [narratively resuming without skipping a single best again this is one post chopped in half;; right after Hela-Fen-Jör have been taken away;; WITH—
of course right after losing those three is when Loki discovered that he was pregnant AGAINNN. with a baby of Sigyn’s! he vanished as was typical and for good fucking reason but this time around loki gave birth to perfectly norma fraternal twin boys, not a single thing “monstrous” about them! The birth of Vali and Nari, reuniting with sigyn afterwards as a new happy family!
Eventually Thor found Loki again and discovered, again, the new kids, they were toddlers at this point as Loki and Sigyn had scooped them up and hidden again. but since they were “””””normal”””” (you ass) Thor urged Loki to return to Asgard since surely they would be welcomed THIS time with open arms now that there was nothing unusual about them. though he fuckinggggg hated the thought of it Loki reluctantly decided that keeping an eye on his shitty family from in their own space was probably the safest option for him + kids + Sigyn, where he could see it coming if they went after them again. so he did reluctantly move back with the kiddos.
For a little while for some years things were??? kind of okay??? returning to Asgard Loki discovered that in his long absence and the drama of his children, he had not noticed the new god who had long since taken up residence as a FAVORITE of Odin and Frigga. their lmao honorary new son, shining star deity Balder…….
haha you can probably guess where this is going. Chafing at the fact that now he was cast underneath TWO SHADOWS , AND that there were horrible and cruel rumors spreading at all times about Loki himself and his “monstrous” children who had been taken from him, and plus Balder was kind of fuckin obnoxiously condescending (unintentionally, but Loki by this point had started to crack!),,… PLUS Loki and Sigyn had discovered magical abilities within Nari and were training him in sorcery which resulted in more ostracizing from Asgard - by the time the twins were like, 9 Loki had had enough and moved them all back out of the palace.
Loki had of course never reaally gotten over the loss of any of his kids and, slipping as we know he is prone to do, into the realm of. well you know. Loki. and the. things he is prone to doing. out of the eyes of the palace and just, seething consistently for the past decade basically Loki finally began to scheme his revenge. oh he had lost his children and suffered?? well - an eye for an eye, right?? mysteriously Balder began to dream of his own death….
Well Sigyn fUCKIN. Noticed that Loki was sneaking all around and confronted him knowing he was up to something. Expressing innocent concern for Balder’s well being and then explaining that he was perfectly safe since Frigga had loved him enough to protect him with her magics (ahem hem this is Norse mythology again!!! all things struck harmless except for mistletoe!!) - well Sigyn was not an idiot and immediately clocked what Loki was planning. urging and begging him not to do something stupid and that it would put Vali and Nari at risk, they argued like crazy until Loki promised her that he would not lay a hand upon Balder pinkie promiseee
and then well if you know the myths. Vali and Nari were ten years old when Loki finally proceeded to shapeshift his way into tricking another random god (blind literally, unaware what Loki was guiding him into doing) into gruesomely murdering Balder via well aimed mistletoe projectile straight into his heart. oopsies!! an eye for an eye! now they were even. fleeing the scene Loki vanished for several days, even though there was no way for anyone to prove he’d been behind this but. this was baby’s first cold bloooded murder and he had some emotions to reckon with.
eventually Sigyn found him - SHE knew immediately what he’d done once she’d heard about Balder’s death. accosting him in the woods for forcing her to leave the kids unattended to come find him. Loki lied to her that he regretted the murder (he did not really in the slightest) and agreed to return home to her and the kids and settle down. Except uh
Returning home to Vali and Nari, instead Loki found an absolute horror show scene :( the two boys, dead on the floor and torn completely to gory pieces. enchanting the truth from what remained, Loki learned that Odin had orchestrated this - enchanting and bewitching the twins , transforming Vali into a bloodthirsty wolf and transforming Nari into a bloodthirsty victim to fight back. under his influence they had murdered each other. an eye for an eye… for an eye. this was just as traumatizing as it sounds :(((
the aftermath was - Sigyn blamed Loki for their deaths, as it was his foolish actions that had caused Odin to retaliate. Spiralling deeper and deeper Loki blamed HER for leaving them unattended, and after exchanging cruel words Sigyn left - forever. alone and devastated, biting down bile and madness and fury and rage and rage and rage and rage - Loki returned to Asgard. Thor believed that a horrible accident had befallen the twins and nothing more.
Smugly Odin had proclaimed that now at last they could move past all this, now that Loki was done with his little games of years past - now that he had lost everything. blank and numb and full of rage and rage and rage and rage and— well Loki agreed. over and done with….: and then it. well, then it was:

. instead to end this thread of devastation - i must announce that unequivocally in Elysium canon, the end of [2011 film, y’know], the diving off the Bifrost - was absolutely a suicide attempt, not just “kinda sorta”
And in fact after the events of 2012 (which that failed attempt led to, we all know) - Elysium canon begins with a SECOND attempt — but jumping off the Bifrost this second time not only failed again, but plummeted him further, into the underworld of…….

Okay so i made- a new character hehe!!!
her name is norma!! (if you’d open ur fuckin eyes/j) and she’s a bat bc i said so
She’s blind but wears glasses to see certain prizes and shoe sizes
works at bonnie bowl - earlier fnaf locations can be prize corner
she clicks and chirps to find her way around the pizzaplex n stuff- soft footed aswell
she hates monty and roxy, says they ruin her vibe
She absolutely ADORES chica!! Norma has always wanted to be on the stage but doesn’t think she has the talent.
Soft spoken but can get loud if needed or very excited! She changes her earrings all the time to match her outfit.
Hearing is AMAZING
her wings are decorated in like cool little designs
As i said earlier- she works the shoe counter and prize counter at bonnie bowl.

As someone who has been on tumblr for a long while now, i can safely say your blog ranks near the top. It's the little nuisances that really surprise me! The fact that you took the idea of Anons and M!A's and integrated it into an in world item, really is ingenious. It adds to the world, and makes the funny grey questions all the more impactful. Outside of this Carol is just really well written, and you've done a great job expanding on the given lore! It really is awesome! and i hope to keep seeing you on my dash for the foreseeable future!

I'm really bad at defining what is and isn't a hyperfixation/special interest of mine jsjd but I would love to :]
Ok so first off, the diversity in this show is amazing, and has some really relatable elements. The characters in this show are so important and I'm grateful to whoever fought for the representation we got, as it's definitely going to pave the way for other creators!!!! It's very inspiring and deals with those aspects so well and portrays them as normal whilst still discussing the issues that marginalized people face, through both metaphors and transparent dialogue. I think that badyah is probably one of my favourite characters so far, she's very fun and I love her a lot. Norma is a very relatable character for me, and barney's struggles with wanting to live as he is really resonate with me too. Also there's a gnc feral demon!!! She's so good. AND THERES A FUCKIN POSESSED DOG FHDHTY. also the main character getting to be in a queer relationship???? The way they portrayed barney's feelings for logs was awesomely done. Also, like, the entire musical episode. Beautiful. And the intro!! It's nice and short but very fun to watch every time!!! Also bonus points for found family trope. ALSO I JUST GOOGLED SOMETHING AND BADYAH IS LESBIAN MY LIFE IS COMPLETE :DD her and Norma are adorable also :))
