Lovejoy have officially posted a statement regarding the cancellation of their upcoming shows via email due to “Wilbur’s mental health”. They also posted a statement along the same lines on their Instagram story but changed it to “personal reasons”.

I’m sorry??? Personal reasons??? We all know what this is about, their whining little bitch boy of a lead singer has been found to be a serial domestic abuser, so why are they trying to downplay it on their Instagram story? Why the change in language?

Their silence is damming.

I was scrolling through Tumblr and I see a #wilbursupport tag. I click it to see what the hell this bullshit might be.

It's fucking disgusting how they responded. A good majority of those members in that hell of a tag brushed off Shubble's fucking statement basically saying they don't care, they still support Wilbur, and will continue to listen to his music. I felt fucking sick, how the hell do you support a man who abused his fucking partner, weaponized a safeword, and was just an overall shitty person? You're just as bad as him for willingly supporting him, KNOWING that he abused Shubble and just sweeping it under the goddamn shitty rug. He was, and is, a horrible fucking person. He did it to Niki Nihachu, and god knows who else and you still have the balls to say "Who cares" and brush it off. You're a shitty fucking person, you don't support victims, you victimize the abuser simply because their your favorite musician / creator / whatever fucking else, and you can't stand to see them be outed as a absolute, downright, scum. MULTIPLE FUCKING PEOPLE, have since come out or have said how Wilbur treated them, their friends, and you still say "Well, I can't just stop supporting him..." YES YOU CAN. YOU ABSOLUTELY CAN STOP SUPPORTING HIM. He's an abuser. He responded, with an absolute shit apology, confirming it. He abused Shubble. You are supporting an abuser. Use your FUCKING BRAIN.

Support Shubble, for the love of everything, support her. Support the victims, support those who speak out against Wilbur, support them. Regardless if you know them or not. She is so brave for speaking out, and I'm inspired by her actions. Seeing that others have spoken out against Wilbur as well is, you can tell she did an amazing thing.

Hi so idk if this needs to be said but neither myself nor my cowriter for "Thieves and Beggers (Never Shall We Die)" on AO3 support irl Wilbur soot. We will be continuing the story but What he did to Shelby is unforgivable. His "apology" was more so an excuse where he didn't truly take an accountability.

The Wilbur Situation

I wanna start this off by saying that I am not on Wilbur's side. I am a long time fan of Wilbur, I've been watching him for five or four years. He was what made my days better. He was even in my suic!d3 note a few months back. But I do not, and will not, support an abuser. And anyone who does so, get the hell off of my page, and block me. William Gold took advantage of people who loved him. Who cared about him, and wanted the best for him. Shelby literally had to clean the house 24/7 and buy him food. Because she cared about him. And he took advantage of that. From weaponizing their safeword, to causing her physical and emotional harm. We also know from folks like Bill and Freddie that Shelby wasn't the only victim of his manipulation. We were told that Wilbur tended to manipulate and intimidate his younger friends. Minors. HE. ABUSED. ACTUAL. FUCKING. CHILDREN. Using all of this information, he clearly targets those who are weaker (mentally and/or physically) than him, those who he thinks won't say anything about it. This, in itself, is an evil thing to do. What Wilbur did should not be classified as "drama", or "cancelling." What he did was commit a fucking crime. I wouldn't be surprised if he were to be charged, which he clearly deserves. He is an abuser. I feel like we also need to take into account things like Wilbur's music and videos. When I look back at them, it becomes painstakingly clear that he is just the perfect formula for what is normally classified as an abuser. Please keep in mind while reading the list of these traits, that these do not automatically make someone an abuser. Whether he knew what he was doing or not. Abusers aren't always evil people who are so obviously cruel. Abusers are smart. Avoidant. Manipulative. They are the best actors you will ever meet.

While listening to his music, it's clear Wilbur is completely co-dependent on relationships and such to keep himself stable. This is shown especially in the "E-Girl Triology." 2. Let's just be clear. We all know Wilbur is not mentally stable. When you look at his characters, REALLY look at them, you'll realize that they aren't just characters. They're all depictions of parts of himself. His true self. 3. While watching him casually explain hurting his friends as if it were no big deal, it made me realize the amount of sympathy he lacks. He hardly apologizes for anything, ever. This lack of sympathy probably gave him much less regrets while he was abusing others, especially Shelby. Now, enough about Wilbur. Because this isn't his story. It's Shelby's. Shelby, we are all so proud of you for coming out about what happened to you. You opened doors for many others to come out and say something. You went through hell, but you made it back out. You survived. And you're going to make it through. Not only have you finally started getting justice, but you've helped others do that, too. Because of you, Wilbur Soot will never abuse another person again. Thank you, Shelby. If you are a victim of abuse, you will make it out. You're going to be okay. Hello.

For headcanons going forward, i will only write for Wilbur’s characters (revivebur, ghostbur, etc). As for posts I’ve made in the past, those are being kept up for archival purposes only. As a victim myself, my heart goes out to Shelby and Alice and I hope they both can heal from what that man has done.

As a result, I no longer listen to or support lovejoy. Not only because of the recent events, but also because of what Mark (the McDonald’s incident) and Ash (the cynicsnacks account) have done too.

Fuck Wilbur, fuck lovejoy and always support victims.

I’m so proud of Shelby for speaking up about the horrible and inhuman things she had to go through just because a grown ass man didn’t understand that the world doesn’t revolve around him and that people won’t and shouldn’t accept nor like certain disgusting behaviors.

She deserves all the support in the world and he deserves all that he is receiving. It’s the consequence for his own actions.

Not only Shelby, but how many people has he treated this badly? He is a fucker and a dangerous person. Not to mention the manipulation he pulled on Shelby and on his FRIENDS as other content creators confirmed.

Think of the victim first, people. Think about how she felt. She was afraid. She had to experience unspeakable things. She didn’t say ANYTHING because she was AFRAID of HIM.

And he made that apology all about himself and said as if it was “funny”.

I’m so incredibly sorry Shelby had to go through that. She deserves the world.

I will keep editing this post as the words come to me, because I must say I was speechless. My support is definitely and entirely with Shelby.

I now say as someone who loved his content, I’m nauseated. Been a fan for at least 4/5 years and it’s hard now to accept it, but I will not support an abuser, and I advise other fans to do the same. I trusted that he would not do something like that ever, that he was a nice person. But I forgot that at the end of the day, he is just another man.

The saying “never meet your idols” never made so much fucking sense.
