Just a reminder that there’s no such thing as “trans enough.” There are not set boxes you need to check in order to be trans. (I promise you that cis people aren’t agonizing whether or not they’re trans every day.) It’s also totally okay to question your identity and change your mind.
There is enough transgender to go around, kids. You’re not taking away from anyone else by identifying as trans. Being trans is about not identifying with your gender assigned at birth, it’s not about how much you have or have not struggled.
Nobody can tell you if you’re trans or not but yourself.

Man. I cannot fucking stand the TMA vs TME discourse. There are absolutely valid points within it, but so fucking often it boils down into "Bioessentialism: Tranny Edition" and it fucking SUCKS dude.
I just fucking read a post saying (paraphrased) "TMA people go through a lot of invisible oppression that TME people just aren't capable of noticing" and like.... yeah... sure. Every oppressed group in human history has that issue. But implicit in that statement is always "But I obviously know everything TME people deal with" and like THATS NOT HOW IT WORKS.
It's so frustrating to hear people make genuinely well thought posts with lots of reasoning and examples backing them up and then ending with "And that's why trans dudes (and nonbinary people without penises) are the problem" like WHAT THE FUCK.
This isnt even a fucking strawman, this is directly about a post I just saw (and quickly unfollowed the author of)
If you genuinely think there are inalienable issues that uniquely apply to only people with penises or vaginas, and never the reverse, and that only they should be voices heard on issues affecting them, then boy howdy you might as well fucking side with the TERFs in my eyes, because you are working from the same damn playbook.
Seriously, look at your damn views and genuinely question, "Am I being bioessentislist with this?" because a lot of people have so clearly not done that.

my original post for context (not at all vicious or rude, just me reacting mildly to a violent comment and explaining):
here are some comments she made. she blocked me, of course, not even giving me the time to respond before blocking to make it look like she has the upper hand. but luckily i have another tumblr account.
she’s not even a trans woman… if you were a trans man before that means you were female. how is it in any way transmisogyny if you’re not a trans woman?
and… we skipped right past transphobia and straight to transmisogyny? whew what a leap.
oh and there’s other comments too. she combed through my account. lucky.
ohhhh so we misgendering now? kinda hypocritical and ironic how you believe in a mindset of respecting everyone’s “identities” until it’s someone who you don’t agree with.
at least transmedicalists misgender because of how they define dysphoria. it’s not like they purposefully want to misgender (when they don’t even see them as trans in the first place) (like if it’s a binary tucute with dysphoria they use proper pronouns). not the same for tucutes apparently. they just do it because they believe they’re the good guys and misgendering is an act of justice against evil…
and funny enough this was my post directly below the one she commented on… which sums up my experience with her nicely. i’m sure she read it too.
i’m not saying this person represents all tucutes and inclusionists of course. like i said in the above pic, there’s genuinely nice people who come from a place of love. i just don’t agree with how their ideas work.
all in all, no matter who you are, what you are, do not respond with violence. and it’s not because i’m triggered or disturbed by it or anything. it’s just straight up immature. you’re also not at all open to discussion or even try to counter argue my points, just straight up “TERF RHETORIC” “TRANSMISOGNY” “KILL YOURSELF”

this is a reminder that your actions determine how someone else perceives the communities you’re in. while it’s impossible to control other’s perception of an entire community, change starts with you. just be a respectful person. no matter how much you hate the other party, maintain dignity. by doing that, you already won the war.
it’s not so much about “being a person you want others to respect”, but more of self respect. don’t ever reduce yourself to plain, mindless hate.

Transmedicalists/truscums deeply and profoundly need to get over themselves.
Their respectability politics are actively harmful to all trans people, including the one who medically transition.
There is no criteria for being trans other than the person saying they are trans. Any attempt to universalize other criteria will fail, it will be based in hegemonic dogma.
You're experiences with gender and sex are not universal.
All of truscum I've met are uncomfortable with being trans. They're desperately seeking some way to justify their existence, to prove they're technically normal. That they're not a freak. And they'll throw anyone they can under the bus to lift themselves up. To try and gain the favor of cis people. And it will never work.
You'll always be trans and you'll always be a freak in the eyes of a cissexist transphobic society. There's no one weird enough to make you cis by comparison.
Instead of perpetuating transphobia, learn to accept you're trans.

I don’t understand why people are offended by cis people using xenos. The whole point is getting to decide what concepts you get to define your gender using and that includes replacing ones assigned to someone by cultural society. If a cis woman told me she thinks her gender is associated with seashells I would be like fuck yeah explore your own personal definition of woman girl fuck it up ily. People get so pissed at the concept of cis people dipping their toes in trans concepts for fun because we’re scared of getting like. Culturally gentrified or something but the alternative is continuing to ensure that cis people have no self awareness and are scared of exploring what their genders mean to them.
