Kinda shocked I haven't seen even one destiel "I love you" meme on my dash about how SBF was just convicted on all counts in the FTX trial and is facing 110 years in prison for various types of theft and fraud.

SBF testifying by saying "so I should preface this by saying I'm not a lawyer" is incredibly funny. Really amazing how the dumbest self aggrandizing morons are lauded as geniuses when they siphon money like parasites

Various court sketches of the Sam Bankman Fried trial; he defrauded millions of customers via a crypto currency exchange and lost a large amount of billions of dollars. Testifying against him was his co worker ex girlfriend and weeping for their son it is his Stanford professor parents. He is looking at a 100 year sentence in the United States prison system! He is likely to die behind bars now.

Hearing that the new "financial genius" on the block was named BANK FRAUD was fucking wild.

Anyway, cheers to that life sentence!

I have been only loosely following the FTX trial due to it not being that interesting personally (its all stuff we already knew, no big surprises imo), but SBF was cross examined today and:

I can see with perfect clarity the shit-eating grin on the state prosecutor's face in that moment. Comes once in a lifetime, you love to see it.

The FTX trial has been genuinely hilarious because since 2021 Ive watched crime and subsequent consequences happen in real time its like the bernie madoff situation on crack, Sam was on podcasts admitting to doing ponzi schemes, he was talking to people about how he was only doing a lil bit of fraud, coffeezilla a dude who makes youtube videos exposing scammers got him angry because he asked Sam to explain how what he did was not the definition of fraud, theres like, twitter exchanges entered into evidence and the prosecutors had to keep the trail focused on fraud because at some point they were talking about FTX and Sam's crew bribing the Chinese government

Does that male sex work book discuss trans men at all?

They get brought up once in the chapter on men in porn (when talking about how trans people experience gender dynamics) and there's a chapter dedicated to trans men in sex work, although it's not as long as I wish it were.

That chapter does have some interesting information on trans men and HIV; it talks about how trans men are usually excluded from PrEP trials and how PrEP's effectiveness is different when it comes to vaginal tissue vs. anal tissue, and also the assumption that trans men don't/rarely have sex with cis men and how that influences the lack of HIV campaigns targeting trans men. It also includes the results of an online survey the author did on trans men&mascs & masc-presenting FTX people current/former sex workers.
