#friend's oc: syrus

you know, in an earlier post, I posited that Alexis Rhodes wouldn’t get along with my OC Lyla Brangwyn...but, like, thinking about it more, I really think it would be a case of a bad first impression or whatever, and they would eventually make amends and maybe even be friends
okay, maybe not “wouldn’t get along with” per se, but...like, there’s just a bunch of things that Alexis judges more harshly about Lyla than she realizes, without really getting a chance to meet Lyla and maybe talk some things out (and it doesn’t help that Lyla is timid and non-confrontational and otherwise sorta unable to clear things up on her own)
things like Lyla’s deck--Lyla’s just trying to make the best Gradius deck she can, with all sorts of tricks to scramble a fleet of spaceships and stack powerups onto them...but one of those tricks is Shining Angel! (it can search the deck for a LIGHT monster when destroyed, and all the Gradius ships are LIGHT monsters) even Jaden probably points out at one point that Lyla’s using the card as a sort of machine angel, which he means affectionately, but the comment just kinda...doesn’t land for some reason, y’know?
and some of Lyla’s friends...! take Dorothy, for instance (Engleton, another one of my OCs, not the card shop person)...she doesn’t even like Duel Monsters! Dorothy’s only doing this to be popular--and she’s popular, alright, but for using her Flint Lock loop deck to stall and drag out duels in class so there’s less time for lectures and stuff! and when she is dueling, it’s only half-heartedly, while she paints her nails or reads teen magazines! and I just think that sort of...idk, disrespect to the game and the school probably rankles Alexis a little, which in turn colors her perception of Lyla more than she’s conscious of
but then if the Duel Academy curriculum starts asking Lyla to at least try Ritual Summoning, the way I imagine they would with Fusions, she would probably beeline to Alexis to ask for advice! after all, Alexis is one of the top students, she has a deck full of Ritual Monsters, she seems friendly and approachable enough...and in the process of finally being able to talk (mostly about Duel Monsters, but still), Alexis’ opinion of Lyla improves
plus if they ever got in a tag duel together, they could actually make a pretty good team, but I’ll save that for another post or a reblog tomorrow or something

my guy LOVES all heroes, comics and shows and movies, all of 'em, and will wear shirts with a myriad of hero symbols and logos on 'em, but I do think he has a fondness for Marvel guys especially...definitely a big Spiderman liker. For SURE a tokusatsu liker, but I don't think Power Ranger's really Syrus's thing.... he's got more of a fondness for Transformers and Star Fox and. ah. magical girl animes 🥴
Jaden is Not Picky and often LOVES cruddier hero media, which definitely drives Aster, his main Hero Liker Friend, absolutely insane (Aster also being a turbo DC liker lol)

I may have missed Gwynedd's nameday but I didn't forget about Llewellyn! To celebrate, I am posting Chapter 0 of a fic I'm working on. Sort of a 'what are some of the other characters doing while WoL is busy WoL-ing' with some OC x Canon because I can't help myself.
Join me as I dump further emotional turmoil on some teens and 20-somethings who are already going to be traumatized by the narrative.

Chapter 0: Meet the Grufuds
(Takes place post-Heavensward)
The streets of Limsa Lominsa were buzzing with activity, from the stalls of Hawkers Alley down to the docks themselves. At present, Alphinaud was doing his best to keep up with the towering Warrior of Light, Gwynned Grufud, as they sought to fill a list of requests given to them by Tataru. It was mostly things that they would have had a hard time finding in Revenant’s Toll. Additionally, their main reason for venturing to the capital of Vylbrand was the fact that there was an important shipment to pick up from the shipyard. A crate of rare tomes sent from Sharlayan, at Scions’ request, that required an escort back to the Rising Stones. Tataru had informed them that they were scheduled to meet with the captain of this particular vessel at a certain time, but Gwynedd was adamant that they could be there as early as they wanted and would not elaborate as to why she was so certain.
The ship itself was easy to find. It was much larger than the other mercantile vessels and sported a long, pointed prow covered in plates of what was likely pillaged Garlean steel. On the steel was engraved The Hullripper, completing the image of this imposing ship. As Alphinaud expected, the gangplank had not been lowered.
“I believe we are still a bit early.” He wanted to give Gwynedd the benefit of the doubt as she was friendly with many of the crews that frequented the Lominsan docks.
“Give me a mo’.” Gwynedd smiled and put two fingers to her lips. She blew two short whistles, then waited. From the deck of the ship came a chorus of three shrill whistles, a perfect call and response. A few moments later, the gangplank was lowered and Alphinaud could hear faint giggles coming from on deck. Gwynedd waved him along as she quickly jogged up the gangplank. Alphinaud followed behind, unprepared for what was waiting for them.
“Gwyn’s back, Gwyn’s back!” Five children, the youngest at about six and the oldest looking to be around eleven or twelve, swarmed the woman.
“Where have you been? Did you really fight a dragon like you said in your letters?” A little miqo’te girl asked as she climbed up Gwynedd’s clothes to reach her shoulder.
“How did you kill Titan? And Leviathan? Tell me!!!” A slightly older hyur boy bounced excitedly as he shouted his questions, clinging to the leg of Gwynedd’s trousers.
“Who did you bring with you? Hi!” A floppy-eared viera girl leaned around Gwynedd to wave at Alphinaud.
“Yes, I did fight a dragon, Nari. I’ll tell ye the stories later, Screech, but I’m here on business.” She pulled the hyuran boy off of her leg and turned to Alphinaud. “Meet my little siblings. Siblings, meet my friend Alphinaud.” Gwynedd proceeded to introduce the children from oldest to youngest; Matia (viera girl, 11), Cavato (lalafell boy, 10), Syrus a.k.a. Screech (hyur boy, 8), Fiona (elezen girl, 8), and L’nari (miqo’te girl, 6). “Now then, where’s the captain?” Gwynedd asked, looking around the deck.
“Muu-uumm! Daa-aaadd!! Gwynedd’s home!!!” L’nari shouted, making Gwynedd wince. The doors leading below deck swung open and out stepped two older roegadyn.
“Gwyn! Gods, lass, how long’s it been since ye left us?” The woman clad in a dark green jacket and tricorn hat hurried over and pulled Gwynedd into a tight hug.
“Too long, Mum, too long.” She replied, smiling at the pair. The man, Gwynedd’s father, took his turn embracing his eldest daughter and then plucked the little miqo’te from her shoulder.
“L’nari, wha’ ‘ave I said about climbin’ folks?” He asked the girl as she wriggled her way around to hang onto his back instead. Gwynedd chuckled heartily and put a hand on Alphinaud’s shoulder.
“Mum, Dad, I’d like you to meet Alphinaud Leveilleur, pretty certain I’ve mentioned him in my letters. Alphinaud, allow me to introduce Captain Angharad Grufud and her first mate Rhodri Grufud, my parents.” She beamed with pride.
“A pleasure to meet you. Gwynedd has told me much about you.” Alphinaud felt extremely small next to the three towering, muscular roegadyn. Of the two, Gwynedd definitely looked more like her father in both face and stature, being solidly built and sharp-jawed.
“Aye, and am I to understand that you two are also here for that crate of Sharlayan books? Your brother’s been itching to get at them, Gwyn, should nobody show up to collect.” Angharad smiled.
“Don’t worry, Alphie, I’ve only got one more sibling on this ship.” Gwynedd said, sensing her companion’s confusion as to just how big this family was. “You and he are about the same age, if memory serves. Come on, I’ll take you to say hello.” She led Alphinaud towards the captain’s quarters at the back of the ship. With no warning, she kicked the doors open and charged inside. “Welly, I’m ba-ack!”
“Wha- hey, Gwyn- ahk! Put me down!” The occupant of the room protested. Alphinaud carefully stopped the swinging doors and entered. Inside, Gwynedd had a younger roegadyn man in a bear hug, fully lifting him off of the ground. Laughing heartily, Gwynedd put her brother down.
“This is my baby brother, Welly!” She slapped her brother’s back firmly.
“Llewellyn Grufud, pleasure to meet you.” He offered a handshake and a smile to Alphinaud, who returned the gestures in kind.
“Alphinaud Leveilleur, and the pleasure is mine.” Alphinaud could definitely see that Llewellyn and Gwynedd were related, but Llewellyn lacked his sister’s roughened edges. He was also much shorter, and built from lean muscle rather than being broad and chiseled from stone like most roegadyn. He had a gentle face, piercing sea-green eyes, an adorably lopsided smile, soft-looking lips… Alphinaud could feel the tips of his ears turning red. Twelve preserve, had he been staring? He pulled his hand back and cleared his throat.
“Ah, right, you must be here for the books! One moment, please. I’ll go grab them from the hold.” Llewellyn moved towards the door but Gwynedd’s hand on his shoulder stopped him.
“I’ll get it, I know what I’m looking for. Why don’t you show Alphinaud all your fancy navigation stuff.” She waved at the map laid out on the center table and the instruments sitting on it, then made a quick exit.

Llewellyn internally cursed his sister for leaving him awkwardly alone with, and for embarrassing him in front of, someone new (and cute). At least she had suggested discussing something Llewellyn was competent in. He explained the finer points of his modifications of the standard route from Limsa to Kugane, all while Alphinaud listened with rapt attention. His attentive, deep blue eyes followed along as Llewellyn traced the line of the route, the sunlight coming in from the window sparkling through the elezen’s platinum-white hair. Alphinaud asked him a question and Llewellyn was grateful for the distraction. Suddenly, the doors creaked open again.
“Hope you two didn’t get into any trouble while I was gone.” Gwynedd grinned, the large crate of books tucked under her arm.
“No, no, Llewellyn was just showing me how he charted the ship’s next course. It was fascinating.” He glanced back at the other teen, a light pink dusting his cheeks. “Perhaps, if you ever find yourself near Mor Dhona, you could come to the Rising Stones and I’ll show you some of the books on astral triangulation we have there.” Alphinaud suggested. “Only if you’re interested, of course.”
“Sure!” Llewellyn reigned in his enthusiasm. “I-I’d like that.”
“I look forward to it. Until then.” Alphinaud smiled warmly and went back out onto the deck. Gwynedd gave her brother a thumbs-up and followed her companion out, closing the doors behind her. Llewellyn wanted to scream, both at the elated feeling in his chest and at his insufferable sister’s behavior.

As he unpacked the Sharlayan books, organizing them based on which of his fellow Scions had requested which book, Alphinaud’s mind began to wander. He had never realized just how much family the Warrior of Light had; she had never even mentioned being raised on a ship. It shouldn’t have surprised him as much as it did, as Gwynedd had been protective and nurturing towards him since their first meeting. She likely saw similarities between himself and her brother, Llewellyn.
Alphinaud recalled his recent introduction to Llewellyn Grufud. The rough, warm skin of hand, his genuine smile and brilliant teal eyes, and on top of that he was very tall. Llewellyn even seemed interested in some of the same things he was and he hoped that they would have the chance to talk again. The sudden, giddy flutter in his chest made Alphinaud pause. He did want to see Llewellyn again, to get to know him better, but was there something else beneath the simple desire for friendship? It wasn’t as if Alphinaud lacked friends, it was just that the Scions were all much older than him and his schoolmates back in Sharlayan were often… behind him in terms of academics and maturity.
He recalled the times at the Studium where male classmates would mistake him for his sister, the confusion undercut with excitement when they flirted with him. That excitement was something he would always quickly squash down. Not that he thought there was anything wrong with the idea of two men being romantically involved, but he had his family’s reputation and future to think about, something his father had so often impressed the importance of upon him. Sharlayan was not terribly accepting of deviance from the prescribed norms, either. Alphinaud put the book in his hand down with a sigh.
Even if he was going to allow himself to consider the idea of dating another boy, he was assuming a lot in terms of what Llewellyn was interested in. It was better to hope for a comfortable friendship, like the one Alphinaud had fostered with Arenvald back when the Scions were still at the Waking Sands. He felt a little bit better as he formulated this course of action, firmly ignoring any emotions that would change his course.

About My OCs
First up, my fursona!
Syrus Lunarheart, the demon canequine
He can appear as anthro or quadruped, and he is mated to Harsh. He is silly, lovable, and rather loyal, to his partner and to his close friends. He smells of campfire and pine, and his thighs are rather squishy!
Next we have my main pony OC
Vern Duskflight is primarily set in the Fallout: Equestria scene, but I sometimes play him in a typical pony setting as well.
He is very big, being almost as tall as Celestia, and his wings are also very large to make up for his size. He is usually pretty quiet and comes across as very serious, but he can also be warm and welcoming at times.
Then there's my secondary furry character
Cobalt Ridgeback is a hyena! He likes committing crimes and setting fires, chaos is his specialty, but he also loves hugs and snuggles!
Aaaaand I have my secondary pony OC
Moonshine is a bartender in his own bar, where he brews his own liquor. He is outgoing, friendly, and flirty while in public, but behind the scenes, he tends to enjoy getting away from the noise.
I do have more OCs I could introduce, but these are the ones you're more likely to see on here!

Finally got over the sheer indecision of seeing so many wips (lots of interesting one you got there), so!
RE:CREATE and/or Hero Mask?

Re:CREATE (wip title honestly this thing is brain soup and idk what to title it anymore, original title when the story ends) is actually a fic for the anime the aforementioned character I might shove in the Twist fic is from, Re:CREATORS. In which I decided to throw Kanoya Rui back into the 'real world' and gave him a boyfriend. :3 (There is also sex but uh we're not gonna talk about that here. ^^;)
And I just realized that this is all semi coherent nonsense without a single fully fleshed out scene so lemme just find something that isn't too illegible
Re:CREATE
Kanoya out on the town one day, still getting used to this new life of his and trying to find a place.
“Excuse me.”
Kanoya looks up at a young woman, probably around his or Meteora’s age, [insert description]. Everyone here looks so plain compared to the bright colors Kanoya’s used to from his home world.
“This might sound a bit strange but can I get a picture of you?” Just over the woman’s shoulder, he catches sight of a somewhat frantic looking young man, ‘No, wait, what are you-’ “You look exactly like my best friend’s favorite anime character.”
“Aya!” the boy comes running up and grabs his friend’s shoulder, frantically spewing words “I’m so sorry about her, it’s really nothing- you can’t just go asking strangers for their picture-”
Kanoya’s confusion turns to a grin and a laugh. “Sure! I don’t mind!”
“Eh?”
“Great!” Aya claps her hands together “And since you’re here, you two should take it together!”
“EH?” The other boy stumbles and flails as Aya eagerly shoves him into Kanoya’s space.
The boy awkwardly stands next to a grinning Kanoya as Aya gets her phone out - “Closer!”
“So, your favorite character - is it Kanoya Rui?”
The boy startles “Eh? Ye-yeah. How did you know?”
Kanoya just beams and casually throws his arm around the boy’s shoulder as Aya calls for them to stop talking and smile at the camera. The boy squawks, embarrassed as fuck.
“Did you get a good one?”
“The best!” Aya laughing at Kazuhiko’s face in the photo. Kazuhiko.exe has stopped functioning. “Thank you!”
Kazuhiko probably comes back online to start wailing at Aya again, or Aya just prompts him to start moving.
“Oh, by the way, do you know how to get to place?”
“Yeah, it’s just over __.”
“Cool. Thanks. Later!”
Silence
“He even sounds exactly like him!” stunned. Aya laughs. “I cannot believe you just did that.”
“Well you weren’t going to.”
“Of course I’m not going to ask a complete stranger for a photo! We’re not even at a con! … You better send me that.”
“Ohhh? What if I don’t?”
“Aya!”
“You didn’t even want me to take the picture and now you want to keep it!”
“Of course I do! He looked like freaking Kanoya come to life!”
“Haha, you should have gotten his number. Or at least his name.”
“For what? It’s not like I’m ever going to see him again.”

Hero Mask is actually my giant GX rewrite ft OC(s) that I keep posting snidbits of for prompt events and never actually writing. ^^; ONE DAY! I AM DETERMINED. Lemme see if I can pull up something that hasn't been posted before.

Hero Mask
Jaden moves in her peripheral and Christina looks up to see him wandering down a hall as if drawn by something. An armored spirit he can't see disappears around a corner ahead of him.
"Uh, Jaden? Where are you going?" Syrus peers nervously after him.
"There's something going on this way! I can tell!"
Ohhh Jaden's dueling senses are kicking in. Still scary how accurately he can pinpoint that. Or maybe a part of him can still sense duel spirits? No, stop that, that kind of wishful thinking is setting herself up for disappointment.
"What kind of something?" Syrus whines as he scampers after. Pocketing her PDA, Christina follows. She knows better than to get between Jaden and his current hyperfixation.
"A duel! Can't you just smell it, Syrus?" Jaden breathes in deeply and marches forward. The duel spirit hovers ahead of them, seemingly oblivious to the humans following it.
Syrus pauses to sniff the air curiously. "Um...no?"
Jaden leads them into a large open room lined with stadium style seats and a raised dueling platform that looks like something straight out of the Kaiba Dome. Christina can't help but feel impressed, if a tad cynical. You can tell Seto Kaiba went all out on the budget for this school.
"Get a look at this!" Jaden's eyes practically sparkle.
Their presence draws the attention of a couple of boys in blue standing on the dueling platform, and the way they sneer down at the four of them has Christina's hackles rising. "What are you doing here? Scram." The one with pointy hair has the gall to make a shooing motion at them with his hand.
"And why should I?" Jaden protests.
The other blue perks at the sight of Jaden. "Hey wait, that's the guy who beat Dr. Crowler." He leans back to call over his shoulder, "Chazz, the kid who beat Dr. Crowler is here!"
A third blue appears above them with spiky emo hair that could almost put Yugi's to shame. He looks down his nose at Jaden as if appraising the other boy and Christina does not like his expression one bit. "Huh. Doesn't look like much. Told you it must have been a fluke. Anyway, scram before we call security on you trespassing." He waves a dismissive hand as he turns away.
"Trespassing?" Jaden sputters as Syrus very meekly tries to pull him back to the door. "I'm a student like you. I have every right to be here."
"Nuh-uh." Spiky hair number one points above their heads and Christina twists to see a giant Obelisk crest hanging over the entrance. "This is the Obelisk Blue arena."
"Then he gets a free pass," Christina says coldly, arms crossed. "Cuz I'm an Obelisk Blue and I say he can be here."
The guy balks at her. "You're a gir-"
"Ya wanna go, porcupine head?" Christina bares her teeth, stamping a foot on the first step up the area. Jaden casually steps back as the other boy jerks.
Chazz only smirks. "Feisty, I like that."
"Gag me," Christina scoffs.
“Maybe later if you’re offering.” EXCUSE ME, did this little turd just- “But how about a duel first?”
"Hell yeah! Now you're talking my language!" Jaden eagerly steps up.
"Not you!" Chazz snaps. "Why would I waste my time on a worthless slacker like you?"
Oh, Christina is going to enjoy mopping the floor with this sleaze.
"Give it a rest Chazz," a new voice cuts in with an ample amount of tired annoyance, and Christina jerks at not having realized her presence sooner. Hey, wait, that's her roommate. "Just ignore him," Alexis says, walking into their midst and bares a few teeth as she stares Chazz and his cronies down. "Chazz is a bully."
Chazz straightens his back, glaring his nose down at the girl, but his demeanor shifts as if he actually cares what Alexis thinks of him. Too flipping bad. Maybe he should have thought about that before picking fights with 'slackers'. "Alexis. What brings you here?"
"I'm here to remind you that the Obelisk welcome dinner starts soon." Oh, Christina knows that tone. Alexis sounds like an exasperated babysitter. Probably should just let this guy crash and burn though. Doesn't seem worth it.
Chazz scoffs and turns away with his cronies. Jaden pouts at the loss of an opponent.
"The Slifer welcome dinner should be starting soon too." Alexis addresses the Slifer boys with a smile.
"Oh, so we eat at the dorms then," Jaden musses aloud. "Thanks, we'll catch you later!" With a wave, he books it out of the arena, Syrus hot on his heels; then abruptly stops and calls over his shoulder as he jogs in place, "Christina! Come by the dorm tomorrow! I want ya to meet Chumley!" He barely waits for her response before he's jogging down the hall.

I wrote a drabble based off this piece I shared yesterday, didn't think it would take the turn it did. So uh...here ya go. Also mentions some friends' SB ocs too.
Tw: almost death
“There you are....”
Kelsey gasped, quickly darting her head from left to right, peering into the darkness of the Daycare before thrashing her head downward to look at her watch. The watch’s face, which would be Moon in this pitch black, glitched like it had some sort of virus. Nothing like that had happened before. Normally if Moon was close, the watch would warn her. If it was dark and he wasn’t around, it wouldn’t alert her. Sounded simple enough. But with the watch glitching, it never prompted Kelsey to hide. And now he knew exactly where she was, and he had her right where he wanted her.
Scrambling Kelsey stealthily ran, covering her mouth the entire time so as not to make her hard breathing easy to hear, as well as not making as much noise with her feet. The padded floors of the Daycare helped, but the sheer large nature of the place made things echo, including the zany and eccentric music that was on loop 24 hours a day.
“It’s alrighhhht,” the animatronic whispered aloud, making it seem like he was only ten feet away, which caused the young woman to jump, “It’s only meeeeee…Oh, I see youuuu…”
She had to either A: find a way out of the Daycare and up to her room across from the balcony, or B: find a way to get to the lights without being spotted and killed in the process. She had escaped her infected animatronic parent a few times, avoiding his capture successfully…but this was going to be a stretch. Oh, she wished her animatronic friends were here…the ones that weren’t infected by Afton’s glitched code and brainwashing. She wished she could scream right now and one of them would come running to her aid, but Sylvester was probably fixing the Glamrock stage, Tutti and Frutti were at their counter, and Syrus putting his drink glasses away. Besides, the Daycare was tucked away from everything else in the Pizzaplex. There was no way…
Traversing the ballpit to get to the rope attached to the balcony would be utterly useless. The Daycare Attendant could easily get through that pit with enormous efficiency, they were programmed to do so. So all Kelsey could think of is to the light switch behind the security desk.
She made the lightning fast decision to make a distraction, and then find a place to hide, so then she could plan her next form of movement. She didn’t need any reminders that her Moon guardian could capture her and kill her, she had a few close encounters to live by. She made a quick move to knock down some childish debris, which made Moon softly roar with anger, “Oh, what a mess, clean up! Clean UP!”
Kelsey made a break for a large set of lightweight building blocks kids used for making imaginary houses, hiding behind a rectangular one (she could only see what it looked like from the faint glow of the stars around the walls and ceiling of the Daycare). Knowing it would take a little bit for Moon to set those toy structures back in place, Kelsey had no worries with taking another glance at her watch. It still glitched from Sun to Moon, for which she smacked her wrist with her hand to see if the watch just needed a push, but to no luck. If anything, it caused the watch to violently flash back from Sun mode to Moon mode, causing the whole area around her to illuminate.
The jingles of Moon’s bells stopped for a moment, then a dark, blood curdling chuckle escaped him. “You have been such a naughty one, Kelsey. You have never been naughty before. You know naughty children must be punished, you know the rules.”
With one hand Kelsey covered the face of her watch and then she held her breath. He knew where she was and there was no place she could run with him that close. Her heart beat faster with every click and jingle noise that got closer and closer. Tears formed in the corner of her cheeks when she heard Moon giggle in his most wicked and creepy manner.
“I can hear your heart beating so so fast,” Kelsey heard just behind her. A few clicks were heard above her, a few more as she heard Moon’s giant hands grasp the top of the block she was hiding behind. All Kelsey could do was not breathe, staring in front of her, not daring to look up. “You have avoided punishment for too long, my little one,” he whispered, “You can’t run, my sweet little moonbeam. You aren’t so little anymore, are you? And you have broken so many rules by staying in this place too…tsk tsk tsk. You stayed to fix me when I am perfectly fine, and you avoid me. My own child comes back and does not want to see you? How rude of you… If you won’t come to me, then I’ll just have to…come to YOU!”
Kelsey screamed horrifically as she was leapt on, being grabbed by animatronic arms, and was forced around to look into Moon’s piercing red eyes. She couldn’t move an inch, his hands digging into her sides which hurt more with every passing second. Her tears immediately flooded her face, openly crying, any and all training and tools she learned over the few months of being in this place after hours were thrown out the window. She was like a scared little girl that had never grown up, never left the Daycare. She was afraid of her parental animatronic that wasn’t himself. And she knew that she was going to die. That would be the punishment.
“M-Moon please!” Kelsey sobbed, “I’m sorry!”
The animatronic tilted his head, unphased, “I think it’s time for bed.”
She knew what his version of going to bed meant.
“M-Moon dad no– let me go!”
More and more pressure was being dug into her sides, and she wondered if he pressed any harder, she’d be killed off like something being put under a pressure press. All the while Moon’s red piercing eyes stared into her soul.
“Shhh, it will be all over soon….I promise.”
Then-
Light. A horrific scream escaped the Attendant as he not only dropped Kelsey to the floor, but he hit the floor as well. Instantly, Moon was transformed into Sun, Sun immediately knowing what happened, and exclaimed, horrified.
“Kelsey! Kelsey, sunshine, are you okay?!” he scrambled to pick the girl up in his arms. The young woman was heavy and limp, although alive and still crying. She hiccuped on her tears as she buried her face into his chest, strange that the hands that had tried to crush her were now holding her with tenderness and care.
“N-Noooo,” she wearily cried out, “N..ot okayyyy….”
“Y-You’re safe now, little rainbow, he can’t get you-”
“I-I wanna go home.”
Sun, if he had a heart, his heart would’ve sank. He knew this was it. Kelsey was broken down to her core. Moon had gotten so close to killing her that it frightened her to continue. Sun understood. He was understandably upset, but he knew he couldn’t endanger his child anymore. They endangered her to begin with for letting her stay in this place when the dangers were unparalleled…Sun was just so blinded about having his little Kelsey here with him, hoping that she could fix Moon and then they’d be a happy family like old times…
That wouldn’t happen now, Sun confirmed in his data banks. But that was okay, as long as his little ray of sunshine, now grown up, would live a long and full life, and not a life cut short as it almost was just now.
“Okay, sunshine, if you wanna go home…” Sun held back his sadness, his pointy rays slowly going away because of his low mood, although he kept his comforting voice, “You can go home. You’ve tried your best and I…That doesn’t change the fact that I love you. And if you can’t return here…I understand that too. I just want you to be safe…and if Moon were-....if Moon were back to normal, he’d want the same for you too.”
Kelsey didn’t answer him, but instead kept crying. Sun looked across the room, wondering who turned on the lightswitch, presumably hearing Kelsey’s scream across the entire mall.
It was all the other animatronics, staring at them both. All of them had come to her aid. And all of them looked at the two with sadness and fear.
She lost. They all lost.

Whumptober Prompt 4 - Trust Fall
(introduces a new oc even though i said i wasn't gonna ~(￣▽￣)~*)
(CWs: alcohol, drugging, peer pressure)
Syrus looks across the table at his old friend, Damon Stone.
The man whose table he's currently sitting at, in fact. The two have always been close, as close as Syrus allows others to get. They share.. Similar interests, to put it nicely.
And for what it's worth, Syrus almost trusts him. But not quite.
"I must say, it's good to see you again, Syrus," Damon raises his glass in the doctor's direction. "Are you sure I can't convince you to have a drink this time?"
All too quickly, Syrus shakes his head. He's never liked drinking, and he wasn't about to start now.
"No, no, not tonight, I'm afraid," he says, like he does every time. "How's your business, Damon?"
The other man tightens his tie with his free hand, mulling over the question.
"Never better, really," the smile he flashes bares a few too many teeth. It's clear the level of trust must be somewhat mutual, then. "And what about you?"
"Oh, you know. Patients come and go. Had a particularly strange one who—"
"No, no, that's not what I want to hear about, Sy," his friend cuts him off, still smiling over the rim of his drink. "How's your secret project coming? Any takers yet, hm?"
Syrus blanks for a moment.
Right, of course, he must've told Damon at some point. When did he do that, again?
"No, not yet." He has mostly everything ready for it, of course, the room (for the most part), the pills, the samples. "I'm not done programming the shock collar, still. You always were more skilled with that sort of thing than I am."
That seems to make Damon laugh. Syrus doesn't know if that's a good thing.
"I could be persuaded to lend you a hand, genius-to-genius," he smiles, something behind his eyes gleaming with mischief.
What Syrus does know is that look can't mean anything beneficial to himself when he sees it.
And regardless, he sighs. He does need that collar for the whole thing to work, after all. It would be so much planning all gone to waste if he didn't have it.
"..What do you want from me, then?"
Silently, Damon pushes the glass of wine to Syrus's side of the table.
"..Damon, you know I don't drink anymore."
"And? I'm a busy guy, Sy, give me a reason to help you out." A pause permeates the air. "It's just one glass of wine, for fuck's sake, you can't possibly trust me that little."
Syrus bristles. They are not going to be scared off by one drink. As much as they'd like to decline anyhow, they can admit they need the help. Even with Damon being so damn pushy.
Sighing, he relents.
The glass meets his lips, and he's a little surprised by how sweet it tastes. It's been a long time though, so he's sure he's only misremembering it.
Really, he hasn't done any drinking since college. It's a hinderance to his studies, and—
He stops halfway, when he notices a dizzy feeling creeping over him. When he realizes that he's seeing double.
When he feels the glass starting to slip out of his hand—
And when he feels another hand guiding it back to his mouth and pouring the rest of the contents in.
"You'll have to forgive me for wanting to spend just a bit more time with you," Damon says from somewhere behind him, and Syrus doesn't remember seeing him get out of his seat, "Before you start your little project."
There's a vice-like grip on his shoulder.
"You deserve a short break first, anyway, my friend. Maybe it'll inspire you."
And falling backwards into waiting arms, Syrus recalls why he doesn't trust anyone.
..
He ends up making the collar himself, when he's back home. Just, let go. And when, weeks later, he receives a call from some desperate no one, he can almost forget the whole thing ever happened.
Almost, save for the scars.

Day 15: “Ayers Rock Sunrise”

((IT’S LEYSA TIME!! And she’s Brought friends!! Megan and Clover belong to @silverfrostheart , Christina/Chinatsu belongs to @meda-princess , and Aurora belongs to @straybreeze. I was going to have Leysa duel Crowler, but I couldn’t be bothered, so it’s just domestic fun time today))
Leysa sighed as she got off the boat onto Academy Island. She was looking around. It had been a while since she’d been here. Ok, a few months but still a while.
“It’s good to be home….”
She headed over to the Slifer dorms but noticed a part had been added to one side of the building. “That’s new….”
Maybe one of her requests for renovations finally got approved after all these years? Maybe? Maybe not?
She went over and heard the voices of her students, her kids, the Adoption Litter as she lovingly called them. Oh, she missed them so much!!
She knocked on the door of the new part of the building and called out. “Is anyone home? May I come in?”
Ms Mutou was back in town!
Inside the Slifer dorms, particularly the part Chazz had renovated, Jaden, Syrus, Hassleberry, Chazz, Alexis, Bastion, Megan, Clover, Christina and the new recruit, Aurora, were discussing how to keep Crowler away from destroying the Slifer dorms, as clearly that’s what he planned on doing.
Hearing the voice cry out, everyone jumped in surprise.
“Wait was that—“ Syrus asked
“Holy crap, guys! It’s mom!!” Megan yelled.
Aurora and Hassleberry, who had no context whatsoever, were very much confused. Had Megan and Jaden’s mother come to the island to visit? But why?
“Doors unlocked!” Chazz called out,
Leysa walked in and waved to the group. “Hey, guys!!”
Oh, ethics be damned
“Come here, you guys!” She announced and held her arms out.
Jaden didn’t need to be told twice. He charged towards the teacher and hugged her, Megan and Syrus not too far behind. Alexis, Christina, Clover and Bastion joined the group eventually, with less enthusiasm but no less love for the group.
Chazz hung back because he believed he was too cool, while Aurora and Hassleberry stayed back because they had no idea what was going on.
“aaaaw, you guys!! I missed you so much!!” Leysa cooed
“We missed you too!” Jaden smiled. “The team mom is back!!”
“I thought you were still on maternity leave!” Bastion commented
“Syrus emailed me telling me what Crowler was doing, so I came back early!” Leysa explained, “I see they didn’t provide a replacement. Guess they were up to something….”
She then noticed the new faces. Her cousin, Christina, decided to fill her in.
“Leysa-née, this is Tyranno Hassleberry and Aurora Dawn. Aurora’s a new Slifer Red student, and Hassleberry is a dinosaur loving duelist who moved in because he owes Jaden or something.”
Hassleberry huffed and crossed his arms while Aurora waved.
“Well, if you’re under my roof, that makes you one of my kids! Welcome to the family!” Leysa announced. “I'm Ms Leysa Mutou, I'm in charge of the dorms, but most people call me Ms M or Mom, so if you prefer to use one of those, you can.”
Aurora seemed to blush at that “family?”
“That’s right! I try to make the Slifer dorms more like a family here. We look out for each other and care for each other! No one gets left behind!”
“W-wow!!” Aurora smiled.
Leysa smiled before turning back to her cousin. “So how bad is the situation? I noticed you’re wearing a Slifer jacket.”
“Yep! Alexis and I moved here out of protest, neither of us wants these dorms destroyed, and Alexis doesn’t want to be Crowler’s little barbie.”
“Ok, well, welcome to the dorms… it’s almost a dream come true, all of us living under one roof. I just… wish it was better circumstances….”
“Aw, come on, mom!” Megan assured, “we’re all happy to be here, right?!”
“Yeah!” Jaden agreed, “we’re a family that sticks together!”
Aurora seemed to shake a little. They were using this word a lot. Honestly, she wanted to be a part of this family, but… would she be betraying Aster if she did that…?
Christina and Megan noticed the pram behind Leysa, and Jaden gasped excitedly.
“Is that-“
“Yeah...” Leysa said softly and turned the pram around, showing the adorable twin boys inside. “Meet your baby brothers! Seiji and Seiryu”
“Wow... They’re so tiny!” Syrus gasped
“And so cute” Jaden smiled
Megan cooed as well while the other students gathered around. “Aaaaw, little cutie patooties!”
Leysa smiled, proudly showing off her babies.
“The one with the blonde wisp is Seiji, and the other is Seiryu!”
“Can I hold one ms M? Please?”
“Ok, but you have to be careful, Jaden!”
Leysa picked up Seiji and gave him to Jaden. To her surprise, he was very gentle, holding him like he was made of glass.
“Wow, Slacker, I didn’t think you’d be into this!” Chazz scoffed.
“Jay’s always been gentle when it came to babies,” Christina explained dismissively. Megan nodded in agreement “it's really cute watching him comfort them”
Aurora couldn’t stop her fingers from taking a photo of Jaden being maternal.
Clover ran to his room and came back with two stuffed animals. “H-here you go! A present from your big brother!”
“Aw, Clover! That’s so sweet!!” Leysa gasped.
Christina decided to lower her cool shield and gave her cousin another hug. “Welcome home, Leysa-née….”
She smiled and hugged Christina back. “I’m home….”

I kinda did a thing w @syrusthesiren OC Syrus and my OC (sister of Shigaraki lol) Shimura Chieko
So Syrus is a villain, the boyfie of Shigaraki so that’s were he know Chieko (the one in her leg), and Chieko is one of the survivors of the catastrophic final of the Shimura family. She know Mineta since they were little, cuz they are neighbors and the adoptive family of Chieko (that were godparents of her) are friends w the Mineta’s , so they are best friends. Mineta sees her as a sister and is alway w her. Since they know Kaminari they are a trio at school. She’s friends w Bakugo and kirishima but she has a little grunge against Midoriya since she found out who he was and how he got his quirk, since she has the same but never could have someone close to her grandmother like him. She know his brother since the attack at de USJ were he kidnapped her and let her go home after a couple of hours telling her the truth.

GX Month 2020
SUper late and I’m too lazy to do anything (as always), but this seems like fun to think about. So let’s go!
Day 1 (August 31): “Game on!” (It’s Judai/Jaden Yuki’s birthday today! Let’s celebrate!):
Jaden is a great protagonist. I love dumb but OP main characters, especially when they got lucky-go attitudes.
Day 2 (September 1): “Red, Yellow, Blue!” (Ah, the tier system at Duel Academy. Which dorm is your favorite?):
I’m attached to Slifer Red, lol. They got a cat for mascot, what more do I need? Also, they serve tempura for lunch.
Day 3 (September 2): “Rule the School” (These kids might be saving the world, but they’re still students with homework to do and exams to pass. Celebrate the school life today!):
Don’t know what to put here, but I was a terrible student because I didn’t study or do things in a timely manner. Do better than me, kids.
Day 4 (September 3): “Sometimes I Can’t Believe We’re Related” (10Join! Today is all about the iconic brother-sister pair, Fubuki Tenjoin/Atticus Rhodes and Asuka Tenjoin/Alexis Rhodes!):
I love this sibling pair! ^^ Alexis is really cool, and Atticus is so far out of the left field. I really thought Atticus was going to be cool like his sister, or edgy like Zane, but nah, this guy is, like, I just want to support my sister and play this ukulele. They make such a contrasting pair, so it adds to the humor.
Day 5 (September 4): “Pass The Salt” (No story is perfect. So what is something you wish you could have seen in the story of GX?)
I can’t think of anything.
Day 6 (September 5): “Going Down With The Ships!” (You know what I’m talking about. We all have an armada parked in the bay, but there’s that one ship, that one ship, that you would die for. Today is all about OTPs and OT3s!)
I really like Rivalshipping. I don’t really have that many ships for GX. 5D’s and Zexal are more of my jam.
Day 7 (September 6): “Bring the THUNDER” (Ichi! Juu! Hyaku! Sen! Chazz it up! Today the world does in fact revolve around Jun Manjoume/Chazz Princeton.)
HANDS DOWN, one of my two top choices for favorite rival. (Jack’s the other.) My favorite things about Chazz are his name, his energy, and that fact that he’s a baby brother. He’s so cute! ^^ I just want to make fun of him.
Day 8 (September 7): “The Power of Friendship!” (Favorite dynamic duo, two characters you think would have been friends if only they met, how friendship saves the day, or maybe a friendship fail. It’s up to you!):
Chazz and Pharoah, lol. I need Chazz to hold that cat and pet it. Why didn’t he? :’(
Day 9 (September 8): “Born to be Bad” (Inherently evil, brainwashed, misguided, or misunderstood. GX boots a colorful cast of villainy. Who’s your favorite bad guy?):
I haven’t finished season 4 yet, but Nightshroud.
Day 10 (September 9): Free Day/Introductions (Tell us about yourself and your GX experience! Your favorites, why you like it, how you got into it. Or leave the day open to do whatever you want!):
I’m known as kappa. I got Hulu, and Hulu has almost all the YGO series excluding VRAINS and SEVENS which is fine because I also have Crunchyroll and the internet, lol; so, I watched all the YGO series simultaneously, skipping back and forth between series. I did not watch any of them in order. GX was number 5 or 6, but it’s the one series I’m putting off.
Day 11 (September 10): “Cyber Legacy” (No Yu-Gi-Oh! show is complete without a pair of brothers. Today’s stars are Sho Marufuji/Syrus Truesdale and Ryo Marufuji/Zane Truesdale!):
I love these guys! It was great to see them grow and become their own people. ^^ They had, I think, the most realistic relationship.
Day 12 (September 11): “But What If We Had Bikes?” (That’s right! It’s time for the GX crew to rev it up on their very own D-Wheels/Duel Runners!):

Day 13 (September 12): “And You Are…?” (Got a favorite OC? Or one you’ve been hiding in the closet? Introduce them to the world today!):
I only have a Rivalshipping OC baby. Her name is Mira Princeton, and she has Jaden’s brown hair and Chazz’s dark eyes (with a bit of a golden glow). Since both her parents can see spirits, it’d make sense that she can too, lol. Her companion is Yata-Garasu, a rare card that her mama won at a tournament. She likes pink and flowers. She is very close to Aster and calls him Uncle Aster. She’s four, and most of her life, she knows her dad as the “Slifer slacker but a really good duelist.”
I love her. :)
Day 14 (September 13): “The Perfect Formula” (He duels with the power math and science! Today, show the world that you still remember Daichi/Bastion Misawa!)
Bastion is a funny character. “Everything is science. I’m going to disappear for several months. Don’t forget to forget me,” I think.
Day 15 (September 14): “Insert pun here” (It’s meme day! Recreate your favorites! Make some shitposts! Be the troll you’ve always wanted to be!):
Bastion: SIr, I’m afraid your DNA is backwards.
Jaden: AND?
Day 16 (September 15): “Creation and Destruction” (The Gentle Darkness and the Light of Destruction. The eternal struggle. And also the Darkness that tried to drown the world. Huh. Feels a little unbalanced.):
It’s pretty cool to have darkness and light reverse, and then watch as darkness conflict with itself, lmao. The Light of Destruction would be a chaotic good, and the Gentle Darkness as chaotic neutral. (Don't quote me on that, I don’t do personality quizzes.)
Day 17 (September 16): “Putting the D in Destiny” (Pro duelist by day and crime fighting vigilante by night. Today is Edo/Aster Phoenix’s day!):
He’s great. I like him. He’s the precursor to Declan Akaba’s D/D/D archetype. Maybe not. Can you believe that he actually said “Shmaden Shmuki on national TV???? LMAO
Day 18 (September 17): “In Another Life” (It’s AU day!):
Currently trying to write a fantasy-ish AU in which Jun marries the Supreme King. Trust me, I have no idea what I’m doing.
Day 19 (September 18): “I Was Here Too!” (GX has a vast array of unique characters, some of which we only saw once. Pick a “one shot” character and show them off!):
I really like Princess Rose. She was pretty, and her spirit monsters care for her. I appreciate that.
Day 20 (September 19): Free Day 2/Support Fellow Creators (Show some love for your favorite creators, or leave the day free for whatever you please!):

Day 22 (September 21): “Stop Blowing Holes In My Ship!” (Some ships are popular and some are…not. Today is all about rare pairs and crack ships! Give those underdogs some love!):
Tanya/Bastion is kind of cute. And I guess Chazz/Atticus too. ^^
Day 23 (September 22): “And For Today’s Lesson…” (The teachers at Duel Academy have their work cut out for them, but they still take care of their students. Show the DA staff some love today!):

Johan is very cute! I’m so glad they gave him a Southern accent in the dub. ^^ It makes him extra soft and lovable. I can’t believe that Johan/JIm is called Cowboyshipping, but I love that name so much.
Day 25 (September 24): “For The Glory of Academia!” (We got to see Asuka/Alexis and Edo/Aster over in Fusion Dimension, but what about the rest of the cast? Show us some Fusion counterparts today! What are these dorks up to and what part do they play in the war?):

Day 26 (September 25): “Dream Team From Overseas” (Austin O’Brien/Axel Brody, Jim “Crocodile” Cook, and Amon/Adrian Gecko. Today is all about them!)
I absolutely love Jim Cook, from him being Australian to having a crocodile as his best friend to getting burned with a mysterious object to cowboy hat. xD
Day 27 (September 26): “Duel Monster Spirit Day!” (The world of GX is full of spirits. Do something fun to celebrate your favorite!):
Mine would be Scapeghost and Rose Garden Maiden!
Day 28 (September 27): “Gold Eyes in The Darkness” (Today’s all about the Supreme King! Unleash the Darkness and create your content!):
I like his aesthetic. I’m into Chazz/Supreme King for sure.
