Well, it's about that time again...and my vibes felt horrendous this morning. I think it's related to work, to stress, to performance anxiety, possibly a holdover from my last job, or maybe related to things that have happened here. I don't know, but it was a lot more severe than I'm used to. I think I mellowed out somewhat along my scooter ride, but I...I don't know. I feel like I've been having a harder time lately, I can't repress and mask and sit still and be quiet. For better or worse, I guess, but it's felt really bad so far! I've been on cruise control through most of April, knowing that work would take a large chunk of my effort. But now it's gonna be May...! I can't just survive, that's just not compatible with me. I think I gotta redouble my creative efforts so I have somewhere to put all these feelings.

Well, it's about that time again...and I'm seventh now on SFA3 global scoreboards. 7th place! I accidentally sank most of my day off into practicing and trying over and over again, but it feels good to do that every so often. It's good for the soul to get involved and invested in something, and lose track of time. If anything, I'm usually too cognizant of the time...watching, doing the math, making sure I can fit things around work and sleep and whatever else comes up, and having to hollow out some buffers to account for my chronic fatigue. So it's very valuable to me to let go of that...sort of. Turns out, in Alpha 3, the most important part of your score is being quick...!

Well, it's about that time again, and...I do feel a lot better now that I don't have to hike to work. Now that it's stopped snowing and my scooter has a snazzy new front tire, I don't come stumbling through the exit door all exhausted and red in the face. It's sort of a workout, because the scooter isn't strong enough for steep hills (and I live by a river so there really isn't a path to work that doesn't involve steep hills). But not having to put any effort into the level parts is refreshing. And going home is a blast because I can go mostly downhill and go...probably unsafely fast, but it's such an adrenaline rush!

Well, it's about that time again...and it's gonna be a wonderful day, probably! I actually managed to get my new scooter tire onto the rim, all by myself! I'm super proud of that, even though it took hours and it hurt like hell and I was getting really frustrated with it after awhile. I still did it, without a vice grip or a zip-tie or basically anything the wider internet recommended...just one tire lever and some hot, soapy water. My hands are still sore, but my trek into work is easier by whole orders of magnitude now that I have an electric scooter again! And after a relatively nice ride in, I'll be at the outdoor register on a gloomy, rainy day...well, the rain hasn't picked up yet, but I'm hoping I can just chill out there and sorta recuperate.
