every so often i have prophetic dreams, only i never really know something in a dream is actually going to happen until i get deja vu about having had the dream in the moment it actually is happening.

like once i dreamed about lying on a raised platform with two strangers and my mom standing over me, all wearing masks, and everything felt really hazy and weird. And then, two weeks later, i went to the dentist and they gave me laughing gas for the first time and they let mom hold my hand while the dentist and his assistant were working on fixing a cavity. I could not have predicted that they'd let mom stay in the room, nor that the assistant and the dentist would be there at the same time, because usually the assistant just cleans my teeth and then leaves before the dentist arrives.
