✡️❤️ The artwork with the Star of David on the Berlin Wall in the East Side gallery has often been the victim of antisemitism and is regularly desecrated. The painting has been there since 1990 and there have been more than 61 anitsemitic damages since then. It's still happening in 2023, and it shouldn't be! ❤️✡️

here's some recent flubs + failures from the past month!

#my art #rotten yams #cursed yams #so out of three of these. two of them i fixed/redid #and one of them i just straight up abandoned #the one i straight up abandoned was the first one—it was a ponyo au doodle w/ yamato as fujimoto #naruto as ponyo. and sasuke as sosuke ofc. very silly au but my drawing felt too...off. idk what it was #naruto is climbing up a wall btw and yamato is standing on the ground below #the second one...as always i was inking something and accidentally whacked yamato with the side of my fist #and bc ink pools in dark spots like eyes. it wasnt dry yet. so. SPLAT! i gave him a black eye 😔#the final one.....it wasnt working. i redrew the whole thing and re contextualized it.#eventually it became the spooky story yamato comic for tendaysoftenzo #its funny that the first one is the one i abandoned because its the one out of these (even before i blacked yamatos eye) i liked the most #but it was just frustrating me to work on. either the idea isnt ready or im not ready but either way its fine #im always saying that if u get tired or upset or frustrated its ok to stop working + i do rlly mean that like. failures are okay #and theyre still valuable! u learn a lot of things thru failure #and its freeing to give up on a drawing knowing that if u want u can come back later #and i was happy to come back to the latter two. and im happy to abandon the first. it feels good

Boycotting companies DOES work!!!! Just recently McDonald's sales have tanked and they have been trying to change policies to save face but thankfully no one's buying it, keep boycotting!!!

The most important thing to remember however is to post about boycotting and to do it with hashtags! Example:

ladies I watched See How They Run tonight and not only was it HILARIOUS and absolutely refreshing in its simplicity, it also used cinematography as a narrative framing device and I'm FASCINATED by the lighting

#girls we may have a new Film(TM)#like... there's no virtue signaling like some recent movies do there's no modernization #it just IS what it IS!!!!!!! and that is so incredibly refreshing #it's a mystery it's vaguely arthousey in the way most searchlight films are it's an exploration of narrative devices #and the fourth wall it's most of all a PERIOD PIECE and goshDANG is it good at Being all that #and re: the lighting: a lot of the settings are very dark — dark wood dark green walls dark streets — but they don't FEEL dark #like you can still see and the lighting is very bright and very warm and idk how to explain it but BALANCED #and stalker is one of my new favorite characters from anything ever #she's just so GOOD at heart and so determined and hopeful despite despite despite and she's got a solid set of morals #that she's not afraid to voice and stand by #I'm just- AUGHJDNXJSMSN i dont recall the last time i was so utterly simply PLEASED by a recent film #like even free guy (my beloved) didn't hit quite like this i mean yes free guy is Good but this is just. absolutely STELLAR #i might have more thoughts in the morning perhaps #i just love stories that deal directly with The Narrative as a character and the framing devices/4th wall breaks/narrative-based #jokes were just SO GOOD. nothing felt shoehorned in it all just IS. it is what it is and it's fantastic #Lu rambles
