Slow is often overlooked in rushed culture. Its’ oracle is not acknowledged, properly understood, or respected. The slow breath. A slow first kiss. Slowly disrobing in front of a lover. Slow lovemaking. Slow to get up out of a warm bed. Slow stretching. Slow yoga. Slow bathing. Slow and steady. Slowly walking through an airport to catch a flight. Slow decision-making. Slow crockpot cooking. Slow eating. Slow creativity. The pause before we speak. When we give ourselves (our cells) permission to slow down, our whole system is met in a magical place where regeneration and rejuvenation naturally begin to occur without any effort from us.”

I hate when everything is due in the same week. Like how do I have time for
4 tests
A paper
A lab, quiz, and homework (all in Italian)
A huge project that I haven't even started on
And going to class so I don't fall behind
And on top of that, I have plans on Friday, so I don't have a full day to get things done. I swear my hair is going to start coming out in clumps with how stressed and frazzled I feel.

What music helps you calm down when you're feeling frazzled? I've made a Spotify playlist recently that I put on whenever I am feeling dysregulated, which is usually when one of the children is too. I feel like it helps me more than them, but I'm better able to help them to cope with things when I'm calm myself. My playlist is here, if anyone needs a starting point (and yes, I know some of them are an acquired taste 🤣) https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4XwpGXhRafoHagvCcVDdpj?si=X_Dh4Rn2SX69uwINBA67Pw&utm_source=copy-link&pt=14d736d7741632c6fa03ff1b96319b6e . #spotify #spotifyplaylist #music #musictherapy #musicistheanswer #unwind #calming #calmingmusic #calmdown #calm #relax #dysregulation #dysregulated #frazzled #sensoryoverload #selfcare #parentingsurvival https://www.instagram.com/p/CnuKedxs7pL/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
"Bruh, I think you need to invest in like... what do Japanese people sleep on? The uh, mat things? That. You know, got nothing to fall off. Can't be that bad on the back if everyone's doing it, you know?"
But that's not where his mind was. Dwelling on the idea of a calm aura. Not something he'd considered for himself. Put a smile on his face.
“Oh, a tatami mat? That’s… actually not a bad idea.” He chuckled. “Those actually seem.. comfy.. Ey! Sash! You alright? You’re spacing out on me, hard, my dude.” Cue the soft snort. “Was it something I said?”
