How did they get together and how do they resolve their arguments (for Aoife and Hades! A curveball!)
Bruh, half of Rowan and Urianger's conversations are late night talks. They both tend to be night owls in the first place. That being said, if they don't remember to actually retire at some point (and if they don't stop each other) then they end up falling asleep in their chairs doing the good ol' fashioned "I'm just resting my eyes" bit.
Ohhhhh Minthe. Minthe needs her space. I think the actual distressing part about fights for Minthe is that she learns something about the other person that doesn't quite match her perspective. She's so detail oriented, how could she be wrong about her partner? (By losing the forest for the trees!) Eventually Minthe will settle down and make an offering, usually in an effort to fix the problem. I think Minthe created a strain of coffee for Ariadne to give her a better caffeine in take because Minthe thought she was too tired.
Thanks for the ask!

Approaching Equilibrium; Playing with the Dials
Blargh. This is some shit, isn’t it? My voice doesn’t feel like my voice as much as it usually does. I’m sober a month starting today, and it’s starting to encroach on unbearable. Reality is terribly-difficult to cope with lately, but I’ve been meditating, sitting in my room and eating breakfast in silence.
I stare out of the window and listen to the birds chirp, and I’m not sure if it’s working, but I suppose it’s faith in it that would bring me out of the slump I’ve been in. I’ve gotten myself out of my bad living situation, and into a new, slightly-better one. Now, I write from the comfort and safety of my parents’ home, once again.
It’s pathetic, but at 22 in this economy, I’m without a lot of options, especially after my income was heavily rinsed by two slovenly people with no aspirations, dreams, or any bit of importance inherently attributed to their existence, what-so-the-fuck-ever.
So let’s write something, because it’s been a while, and that guilt is creeping in that you’re secretly disappointing *someone* by not writing. Maybe that someone is myself, I’ll have to think on it for a while before I’m ready to make that assessment.
You’d hope that would be the case, right? That I strike the perfect balance between being true to myself, talking about what I want to talk about, but also crushing the game in the quality of my writing. The Performer’s Trinity, which usually calls for some kind of compromise on one of those pillars of said Trinity.
I’d hope to find attention from babbling, so that it can draw eyes toward whatever project I’m currently digging my nails into, with the God’s-honest-truth being that I haven’t written a page of a script in months that I was happy with; the process is actually grating without a steady schedule and consistent reliability of time.
Maybe it’s my mindset, getting in the way of me being creative. I’m running out of time, every day is another day wasted when I don’t have a job. I think it’s fair to take a day to myself, to hammer out my routine solidly, and try to build a nice, steady foundation to relax more prominently this weekend, but once Monday hits, I’m going to be interviewing around for a position I’ll pretend to care about for the purpose of obtaining mucho dinero.
Job or no job, though, this is where I leave you. I’m slowly adjusting myself and what works versus what doesn’t from a writing standpoint, and I feel like I’ll always be doing that, from this point, onward.
So enjoy it, watch it, laugh at it, or with it, or just ignore it if it’s not your cup, but just know that I’ll be here, consistently-inconsistent with the types, lengths, and subjects of nerdological rants.
I’m sincerely sorry.

You know, we talk about "Late Stage Capitalism" and all, looking at the way our economy and society seem increasingly broken, etc, etc but like...
You don't know it's the late/final stage until it's over?
Karl Marx thought the coming end of Capitalism was at least going to be a lot sooner than it's turned out to be. Trotsky thought Capitalism's end was right around the corner at one point after the October Revolution.
We can't actually be sure we're in the real 'Late Stage' or 'Final Stages' until we... well, get there?

Identity & Function - 04/12/2024
Since not much is going on other than the usual, what would normally be shocking events but made relatively mild in these tumultuous times, I've decided to re-write my paper on the title's subject.
It’s obvious to me that what something is, is determined by what it actually is. However, how it is identified can either accurately or inaccurately reflect the purpose of its existence, i.e., if it has a particular function, it should be in line with its identity. Taking that into consideration begs the question, does identity determine function, or does function determine identity? Take for example the purpose of a plyers is to establish a firm grip that would otherwise be impractical, and/or unsafe to just use your hands. If you were to use a plyers to pound a nail, in that moment, would that make it hammer? Of course not, but you could call it a hammer just as you could call anything, anything you want. Or would turning a screw with a coin consequently make it a screwdriver? In effect you have, yet that is not the integral purpose of a coin regardless of what you use it for. It is intended as a means of material trade. A cardboard box is typically used to contain material items, but you could break them down and build a makeshift shelter for a homeless person to live in. Numerous examples of things being used for many different uses in endless creative ways can make it confusing to determine this identity and function dichotomy. Examining each consideration separate from the other can help you to make a definitive determination. Let’s say that function determines identity. You could then say that a coin is a screwdriver when you use it as such, which would force you to ignore what it actually is within itself. If you say that identity determines function, you could still use the coin as a screwdriver, but you would still call it what it actually is, a coin. By that standard, breaking down cardboard boxes to build a shelter would lead you to conclude that you’ve effectively changed the identity by breaking them down as they would no longer be functioning as storage containers. In the other standard, function as determining identity, they wouldn’t have a singular identity until you use them for either storage or for building a shelter. It would seem to me to be less confusing to simply identify them as boxes regardless of what you use them for. Things are what they are in and of themselves and can function more properly when used for what they are intended, and even if something functions just as well for something outside the integrity of its identity, it still physically remains what it materially is regardless if it’s been modified or changed to the extent that it changes its identity. Given that identity remains constant as what it is or what it becomes as still having identity, and that function is more fluid in that you can use almost anything for multiple purposes, then identity is predominantly foundational. Therefore, identity determines function.

How do I know if a Bible verse or passage applies to me today?
QUESTION:
Is 1 John 2:12-16 trans-dispensational?
ANSWER:
Before we evaluate the requested passage, let me first explain the term ‘trans-dispensational” and then provide a few examples of verses that are trans-dispensational and compare them with others that are not. I aim to provide some insights into how we can determine one from the other.
The term “trans-dispensational” refers to a…

Do they like late night talks? (for Rowan and Urianger) and How they make up after a big fight? (for Minthe and Ariadne. Asking for a friend.)
