#when i was first coloring him in he was gonna be golden chinchilla colored but then i was like ehhh jonah magnus should be red/orange but #elias should be gray ...so i just desaturated what i already did instead of recoloring lol but #he is now supposed to be shaded silver lol #but thats why his coat pattern is on the darker side compared to what it *should* be #og elias bouchard coming from an important/roch family and while whole thing with thinking he just *deserves* stuff bc of his upbringing.#etc. -> he is purebred and matches the breed standards etc for a scottish fold of his color #obviously the eye color doesn't matter because. ahaha #i thought elias fit the Scottish fold vibes because: Scottish folds are known for looking sort of like owls and having intense eyes #and the cat body/face type (also present in british shorthairs) to me gives off sort of... unnasumming vibes?#like ahaha yes i am a boring boss who loves paperwork look at how unnasumming i am season 1-2 elias y'know #trying to think of what cat breed jonah would be. and also jon gerry etc you know all the other characters i like #would it be boring to have multiple british shorthairs #i mean..#Michael shelley/distortion is a laperm that's all I know #i didn't particularly care with the personality attributes associated with eliascat because it didn't need to fit his personality on account #of not being his original body. but i do try to keep in mind the best personality/look/etc. cat attributes as a whole for a character #also sometimes get obsessed with jt making historical and geographical sense but then it just limits me greatly to a point im not into it #so i don't care about specific breeds in that respect lol #tma #my art #elias bouchard #the magnus archives #some notes looking back(made it 2 hours ago but still looking back ok..) on it now are that i feel like elias would never choose this breed #for his next bodyhop because of the inherent health issues in scottish folds. I saw the breed was created in like the early 1960s and #assumed that maybe the health issues wouldn't have been common knowledge until later enough for jonah to be unaware of them but actually no #there's legislation about it like 6 years later LOL so jonah would..maybe not make this choice #i guess in the future when drawing i will just make him a British shorthair #my catTMA is simultaneously 'they are just regular cats or like all show cats or something' and 'exact tma plot but as intelligent cats'#LOL its just vague in my mind idk..also maybe jon can be an Abyssinian #ALSO WHAT WAS I THINKING 'jonah may not have been aware about x thing' like did i...did i forget. me 2 hours ago was dumb as rocks

Alright gang, time for the rest of the Calcite cast! Excluding the other traders and calcites because to be honest I can't be bothered :"D Was giving any of these three refs necessary? Definitely not. But I had fun so whatever lol <3

I realized way too late that Mafia Boss and Thor have literally the exact same color palette?? So I did my best to differentiate them here ;w; I think I kind of succeeded?

Anyways, we'll be doing the same thing as last time! Bullet points under the cut ^^

Thor was the resident mechanic! The main gang used to visit his old underground workshop a lot, although Lilly was the only one who had any interest in learning about tech. With Thor's help, she even created some sort of little...sentient...vacuum?

I think I said before that mb wasn't with the traders? Well that has since been retconned :D He was the leader of their little expedition! Being strangely well travelled and good at navigating, he knew all the best places to sell to and how to get there. He was also the only thing stopping the Traders from immediately getting completely lost.

The Head Trader wasn't necessarily a better person than in canon, he just ended up being more interested in getting rich overcharging for fish than. Literally killing off an entire town : D

The Goofy Trader had a rather unique set of wares. His stock pretty much consisted of a bunch of random bits and bobs, including a wide array of party gear :) Although often anxious, he was good at event planning!

Anywho, that's about all for now! I have a feeling this isn't the last we'll see of these guys, though.....

finding good protein bars helps but its sooo hard to eat lately without feeling like i am literally shoving styrofoam into my body or pouring paint in my throat food is not food to me right now

funny thing happened when i was subbing fourth grade technology today. a boy raised his hand when i introduced myself as miss (last name) and said "there used to be someone who looked JUST like you who worked at after care a few years ago."

"that was me >:)"

and he was like... honestly *____*-facing

#idk how to describe the emotions of the *____* (an underrated fav of mine) thats why art is so much more eloquent than words #tales from diana #some kids realize it's me and im the same person #oh when i was working for the after school program i went by miss diana. important detail #we all did first names except for my coworker who was a para at the school during the day she still went by her last name. naturally #bc that's what all the kids knew her as already #but yeah like my boss was mr. bruce for instance #i had a boy in one second grade class seemingly FORGET me? he was a kindergartener #i had just walked into the room a minute ago and i said '(his name) stop that' and he was like 'how do you know my name?'#uhm. because we've played stratego together.#another girl in his grade (now a second grader) who used to really love me and always seems happy to see me subbing #she asked me one time 'why did you change your name?' 'i didnt!' and she was like: :0000 #me explaining to my friends that i have a first AND last name #also in that fourth grade class was my first grader i used to tutor when school was still remote!#he's so big now jesus fuckin christ #he asked me if i. like. PREFER to be called miss (last name) bc w him i just went by diana #and i was like 'well. you know my name and thats ok but just call me what all the other kids are supposed to call me' lol #if you run into me at the grocery store you can say hi diana. at school it's miss b #he's funny he always doesn't like to seem too attached or affectionate (he was like that when he was young too) but i can tell #he's always happy to see me around :)

#i can't get my boss to focus on or follow through with anything #and then when she realizes something isn't done she passes it off to me #or asks me why it isn't done #she also 'forgets pronouns when she's tired' and I've heard her say that at least three times #(only pronouns for people who aren't cis ofc)#i've been asking her for over a year to sit down and look at our website and list the changes she wants me to make #and she won't do it. and then opens up documents and asks me why I haven't changed them #and i say because you didn't ask me to #and then i feel like a fucking asshole but! you didn't ask me to!#today she asked if an agenda was ready to send and i told her it was blank and she said but we did it??#i had to say no we talked about it and circled around it but didn't actually put anything down #(because she said she needed to talk to people about it and think about it and she was brain dead because it was the afternoon etc etc)#we got to this six minutes past the end of our meeting time because she was late and then spent the first 10 minutes on something unimportan #t.#ok I'm done. sorry

This Project In Spring: WORK WORK AS FAST AS YOU CAN, WORK EVERY HOUR OF OVERTIME ALSO SATURDAYS

This Project Now: just FYI, we only have enough to do for 35 hours a week. Also, like, no rush. Reread the training material before you begin every day (all of it. just to make sure you REALLY understand). Think super carefully about each paper before you score it. Let's take an extra ten minutes for lunch today. Also an extra five for break, because we're worth it. Hey, who wants to end the day with a trivia sesh?

#a day in the life of televinita (work related)#it is a slightly different version of the project with fewer resposnes overall (which accounts for the differences) but still #it is also slightly less stressful for me as a supervisor now #if only because the total lack of guidance from MY boss has made me like 'whatever. guess we're fine?'#if you're not yelling at me about anything I WILL assume I am doing an OK albeit not outstanding job #the extra breaks are because we have to train often and we are only supposed to do 1 item per day to minimize confusion and forgetting overn #but it turns out that's barely lasting us 6 hours at our normal pace so it's now an Official Slowdown in progress

ok after finishing my 1st session w/ ds2 i'll say i do like the atmosphere and the world feeling so much bigger. like ds1 is so dense, this one feels sprawling thus far. i beat the first boss but i havent even finished exploring the dang place xP
