Out Of The Shadows - Part 10
Summary: Singing was the only thing that kept you breathing. To Kihyun, you were too talented to step away from. And by a cruel twist of fate, because of him, you became a singer - except you only sang in the shadows.

Warnings: Y/N has a serious injury, and ongoing implications from it that might trigger some people. In this part: the dark side of the entertainment industry, some cursing, very brief mentioning of past shadiness with wonho, pretty emotional angst too.

It was hard to navigate the sharp decline after being on the radio show. You weren’t sure why Terry had pushed for you to attend the show in the first place, and after the crash course in how to present yourself given to you by staff the morning of, you realised just how messy this was becoming.
They had no desire to debut you alone. So why had you appeared on the show?
The reaction to your connection with Kihyun worked, though. Monbebe were quick to promote you around as the singer chosen by their favourite main vocalist, and surprisingly there were only a handful of people jumping to a conclusion that you were dating. The majority were just interested in your voice and what you looked like.
“This is going to suck.”
Turning to the girl leaning against the wall of the small studio space, you sighed heavily. “Nina.”
“I’m not you, Y/N. I don’t get this at all.”
You had both resigned to the fact that to debut, you would rely on one another. And today, you were monitoring Nina’s execution of your debut song Reach Me, ensuring that she opened her mouth in the right way so when you sang live, she would be able to mimic how it should sound. The tension was mounting between you, both desperate for this to go well.
Both disappointed that your debut was built on deception.
“I can’t sing, can I?” Nina whined, crouching down, and holding her legs tightly. “Be honest with me.”
“I can’t dance or look nearly as good as you do in that outfit,” you countered, not wanting to admit to the girl that she was entirely tone-deaf. It broke your heart to see her this shattered, even though you were dealing with your own emotions over being too damaged.
The body issues you had before all of this were now magnified. You knew you would sing backstage for the entirety of your career. Even if you were comfortable in the shadows, you had desired your time under the limelight so much that you had signed that contract as a singer, not an idol. And the hard thing to get your head around was that you were proud of this album, more than you realised you would be after finding out what the Starlet project was really about. The fact that it wasn’t you who would take to MCountdown’s stage in two days, but Nina, was weighing you down.
Still. You comforted her before yourself.
“You know if I didn’t want this so badly…” Nina trailed off, blinking hard. “I would have walked away.”
“We can’t. We signed that contract,” you reminded, and Nina growled. “Under false pretences, I know.”
“Can we get out of it?” she asked, staring at me intently. “We could, right?”
“Do you have the money for a lawsuit? Because I think it’s going to be tricky to avoid this. Besides. You will shine up on that stage. Look at you. You’ve got this.”
“I’m getting all the credit, though.”
You shook your head. “My name is right beside yours on the album booklet.”
“It doesn’t say who we are.”
“We’re Starlet,” you reminded shakily, giving her a watery smile. “And being an idol is tough. I just have to sing. You have to carry our image. That’s going to be more work than you realise.”
“Am I taking advantage of you?” she whispered, and you didn’t answer, not knowing how.
You worried about how this would all play out. Especially when Kihyun would find out that your appearance on Idol Radio – without cameras – had been your one and only chance of promoting your voice with your own merits. How many radio shows would you be able to attend once Nina’s face was matched with your voice? It made no sense.
Boah was going to kill you the next time she saw you, too. You could already feel her disappointment building in your heart.
It amazed you how readily the music shows accepted your deception. Listening to the MCountdown producers talk about your placement near the stage like it was completely normal for idols to have a singer backstage was jarring. Nina had been nervous about it all until then, her steely resolve kicking in as she practised her moves next to you. Her mic set wasn’t hooked up to anything. The cords running from your in-ear device were the only ones that actually mattered.
There was too much that people could get away with when they had power and money.
It was tough to talk to Nina, though. She had stepped up after the salon appointment, determined to carry the Starlet name to success. You tried to squash down the jealousy you felt when you saw how beautiful she was all ready for the stage. It was unfair, and that critical little voice in your mind bitterly rejoiced that Nina couldn’t sing at all to give her at least one weakness.
Whilst you nursed many.
“Y/N, are you ready?” Terry asked, coming to your side backstage as Nina geared herself to go out there. He patted you on the back, unaware that the gesture had hurt you.
Shrinking away, you nodded once. “I can do this.”
“Good. I’m counting on you to not let Nina down.” Staring at the man incredulously, he finally glanced at you and sighed. “I know you can sing in your sleep. But Nina is relying on you to match her perfectly. She is the performer, but your job is to make her shine.”
“With my song.”
“Details,” he muttered and then nodded at you and walked off.
You had never expected your debut stage to feel this lonely.
Digging deep, you watched the monitor in front of you and held your microphone a little tighter. Thoughts of Kihyun’s encouragement flooded your mind, and even if you knew he was going to lose it when he found out you had lied to him, right now it was what grounded you. The cue was given, and Nina was ready.
You started to sing.
You managed to avoid the onslaught for three days. Granted, it was because you were doing every music show for the weekend, and there was no time to give in between. It was getting easier to sing in time with Nina’s performance, but it didn’t relax your heart any.
If anything, the more you sang for Nina, the more you realised how much you had sold out. However, Nina was thriving. Her performances grew bolder, her smile never disappearing as the compliments rolled in for how talented she was. It thankfully hadn’t made her arrogant towards you, though it wasn’t easy for either of you to travel together.
The number of times you had been mixed up as her manager now had both of you boiling over.
Monday arrived, and that signalled time for you to relax. Nina’s schedule was still your own, but at least you weren’t needed to be emotionally present when she was doing her promotional work offstage. She had the ruse down to a fine art within a mere few days, and you didn’t even need to worry if people would question her. After all, it wasn’t until you listened back to her first recording that you realised you both spoke with a similar tone.
Terry had found you the perfect match in Nina.
Because you weren’t necessarily the focus of any of this, your mind had enough time to overthink. And your usual habit of relying on your phone to unwind had become tricky. You had a multitude of texts blowing up your phone. Missed calls were stacking up, and you couldn’t bring yourself to tap into your messaging app. The barrage of notifications proved that it would be only time before Kihyun and Boah sought you out in other ways since you weren’t replying. It was cowardly, but you didn’t want to face their disappointment just yet.
“Can you get us some drinks?” an MC of another radio show asked, and it was a moment before you realised they were directing the message at you.
Glancing up at the request and then over at Nina, you watched her expression turn explosive. She was going to stand up for you, but with how important her image was to build, you shook your head at her in a silent plea to calm down. Turning to the MC, you nodded tersely. “Sure. I’m not doing anything.”
Once you had the list stored in your mind, you headed out of the studio and down to the coffee shop on the first floor, ordering what was requested and waiting for the drinks to be made. You tried not to put weight into the menial task or the fact that you were being disregarded as part of the act. Of course, you were. No one aside from your staff knew that you were part of Starlet. No one would ever know either. And with Melody in the bathroom, it made sense that you looked like a rookie staff member waiting on Nina to be done with the show.
Stepping forward when the order was ready, you thanked the barista and started your way back up to the floor you were on, waiting on the elevator to open. It did, though when you saw who was about to exit, your eyes widened, and you glanced around yourself for an escape.
You weren’t lucky. Minhyuk’s hiss was loud as his hand snaked out to pull you inside. You didn’t get a chance to tell him he was hurting your skin with his tight grip, and thankfully once the doors were closed, he let you go. “Y/N!”
“Don’t Minhyuk,” you said softly, looking at your feet. “I’m not ready yet.”
“They sent you to get coffee?”
“I offered.”
“You offered?!” he screeched, moving over to the panel on the wall and slamming his hand down on the emergency button. He then spun on you, his eyes dark. “Wait until Kihyun—”
“Please don’t tell him.”
“Why did you not tell us? Imagine our surprise when we watched the performance live that you were nowhere to be seen. But your voice sure was. I’ve never seen Kihyun that destroyed, you know.”
Snapping your gaze up to his, you faltered. “He… what?”
“He’s blaming himself for getting you in this mess. And since you haven’t been talking to him, well, it’s not been great fun to be around him. Not to mention the rest of us are just as furious. After what happened with Hoseok I knew this was suspicious. I should have stopped this.”
“No.”
“Yes. Because this isn’t fair on you. They’re exploiting you.”
You didn’t know what to say, tears welling in your eyes. For a moment, you were certain he would continue venting, but he must have seen how emotional you were, stepping closer and placed a hand on your shoulder. “Are you okay?”
It was such a loaded question. You had to be okay. You’d prepared for all of this for weeks now. You had guessed before Terry announced it, and then you hadn’t even disputed it. Acceptance had come and gone, even if it left you feeling stupid for ever expecting to have proper recognition. The chance for that had gone up in flames six years ago.
Yet you were only human too. And your head was shaking back and forth in answer, tears now slipping down your cheeks. “No, I’m not okay.”
“Shit.” Scooping you up in a warm embrace, Minhyuk gently held you before reaching for the button and starting the elevator up. “Do you have to follow her around all the time?”
“After this, Nina has to go back to practice. I’m on vocal rest.”
“Reckon you could shake off your team?” he asked, and you glanced up at Minhyuk curiously. “Go deliver the drinks. I’ll wait.”
“For what?” He raised an eyebrow that spoke all too loudly, and you cursed under your breath. “Do I have an option?”
“Reckon I’m giving you one, Y/N?” Minhyuk answered, and you groaned, nodding in reluctant agreement.
“Give me ten minutes, and I’ll come with you.”
Your heart was pounding harder than you ever remembered. Even within the fire and your need for survival, you hadn’t felt it thump this hard in your chest. With each step you took closer to the place Minhyuk had taken you to, your ears roared with the erratic sound, your mind reeling with pure anxiety.
You hadn’t expected the fallout to be this bad. With how grim Minhyuk was, you could only imagine Kihyun’s state of mind.
Glancing at you as he reached for the keypad on the door, Minhyuk gave you a weak smile before punching in the numbers. The door unlocked, and it was only then when you realised he had brought you back to his dorm house.
You had no idea what to expect, but from the way Minhyuk had immediately started in the elevator, you steeled your heart for Kihyun to explode at you.
Slipping off your shoes in the doorway, you had only stepped up into the apartment when you saw movement, barely catching Kihyun’s presence before he scooped you up in his arms and held you to him protectively.
“I’m so sorry for letting you down,” you whispered, the emotions now overwhelming you.

MONBEBES COMEBACK PREPARATION
Hello! As you may or may not know, Monsta x’s schedule has been updated to the usual “comeback syung syung”, meaning in a week or two we will get the first comeback announcement. This means it’s definetely time to get ready for them as well!
How?
The main things you can do in this period of time are:
1. get points on different voting apps
2. testing out MV streaming
3. save up money, if possible (not fully necessary though!)
So let’s get through these three points
1. GET POINTS ON VOTING APPS
Almost each music show has a prevoting/live voting system based on a phone app. I’ll go in order by the week day of the show.
A. STARPLAY (THE SHOW APP)
The Show is now using Starplay app. On this app, you can get 5 silver stars every hour by watching advertisements or more by doing missions. Since a birthday poll for Minhyuk and Kihyun is going on, I suggest keep some silver stars for them and then change the stars to the show points. If you don’t swap. silver stars expire every month, so please remember that. On contrary, The Show points never expire, so you don’t have to worry!
REMINDER: Starplay has both prevoting (unlimited) and Live voting (3 votes) so make sure to have 3 points to vote on tuesdays!
B. IDOL CHAMP (SHOW CHAMPION APP)
Show Champion uses Idol Champ since basically always. To sum up, to actually vote them on Show Champion, you just need to log in daily, as it takes 3 red hearts. Usually, though, we try to also win polls, champ of the month and to get the free promo through star advertisements. Since there’s a very big Idol Champ organizatioon on twitter, please head HERE for any question or to keep updated on what we’re trying to wi and what not. There is no live voting.
C. WHO’S FAN (MCOUNTDOWN APP)
Mcountdown actually has different system of voting, mostly on their website based on your location, but also this app. Actually, to vote on Mcountdown, you just have to login in voting days once, get the voting point and vote. Usually, though, we also try and get the BUS advertisement, which is available with normal who’sfan points, that you simply get by logging in daily on the app. Live voting is through messages (+822336)
4. MUBEAT (MUSIC CORE APP)
Music Core decided to get a international voting app as well. This app, which will probably be The Show app as well anytime soon, has heartbeats points, available by watching 15 adv by day and through missions. Prevoting is totally unlimited and the points expire after 3 months, so if you can please start collecting.
5. AZTALK (INKIGAYO VOTING APP, ONLY FOR VERIFIED MELON USERS)
Inkigayo always used AZtalk app for prevoting, but, as the show itself is very Korean and not open to the world, the voting system is as well. Personally, I was never able to vote even with a rented Melon account because they’re somehow very special, so I believe that it works with fully verified accounts only. All I know is that AZtalk is where to vote for it, so if you happen to have a Melon working account please check if you can vote!
2. TESTING OUT MV STREAMING
As you know, streaming the MV throughout the comeback is very useful and important and also free. Noone really knows how the most efficient streaming works, so the only way is to test it out on old videos that barely get views. All I know is that, apparently, you don’t have to log out of your account, change video AND channel often, wait around 10 minutes before replaying it, interact in the comments WITHOUT using emojis, search their name or the song name often. Another tip I can give is to get a free month of Youtube premium, so that every view should count!
3. SAVE UP MONEY, IF POSSIBLE
As you know, Monsta x don’t really do well on Korean charts, so all we can do is helping kmonbebes to stream on their platforms.Unfortunately not even a single Korean music platform is free or have free trials, this means that if you want to help, you have to pay. There’s another way though! If you have a lot of free time but no money, there will be many streaming projects asking for volunteers to stream the songs 24/7 on the top two streaming sites: Melon and Genie.
So, first, I’ll leave the general costs of passes from trusted accounts:
MELON: verified acc + 30 days of streaming pass > 23$
verified acc + 30 days + 30 downloads > 36$
1 song download > 3$ (please note that downloads help a lot!!)
This is the main site we always try to chart in, that the boys check and care about the most. so please, if you even can save up even just 3 dollars for a song download, do it
GENIE: verified acc + 30 days of streaming pass > 20$
verified acc + 30 days + 30 downloads > 28$
streaming 50 times > 3$
30 download > 15$
these are the cheapest options I’ve found for both sites, but there’s more, so if you want to check them out, this is the prices masterlist.

Of course, buying physical albums is also a way too help. If you rather helping sales chart, please make sure to purchare on sites that count on Sinnara and/or Hanteo charts, like Gmarket or Ktown4u!
Now let’s get to the “free ways of streaming”.
For Melon, all you can do is join streaming projects or win a random giveaway on Twitter. For Genie, instead, “limited streaming times” are what can help in a free way. You can create a Genie acc no matter where you are and use these links once a hour that some monbebes accounts leave. Every stream you do on those count on charts and all you need is ¾ minutes to stream the song every hour. Since it’s limited streams, they will expire once the count gets to zero, so if you want I’ll try to make a list and update it often!
These were the ways we can get ready for Monsta x comeback. If you need any kind of help with the apps or in purchasing or trust me enough to make up a streaming project with donations and volunteers from tumblr, let me know somehow. For now my schedule let me be pretty free, so I shouldn’t have problems!

i h*te celebrating my birthday so realistically just merch or money...my bday is may 7 so we were quarantine this year anyway but my present to myself was mots tour merch !

3. What is your go to snack when you’re hungry or bored?
i don’t snack bc i don’t usually have time to .. but during my 10 min breaks at work i’ll get a single serving container of those white cheddar cheez-its bc they’re top tier

wake up, shower if i didn’t the night before, skincare.. i usually eat yogurt w granola and fruit and honey in an attempt to be healthy </3

i have a lot of bts i won’t name it all, for nct 127 i bought all the neo zones, and again i bought monsta x’s all about luv version 1 today (i’m not gonna buy the other versions bc i don’t even stan them yet i just wanted to support them bc that album,, banger idk it was just a pleasant surprise cause i wasn’t planning on listening to it and now i see why there are so many monbebes!!)

Update + Week 1 recap (Nov.7, 8:21 PM US Mountain Time)
Today marked the final day of the first week since this whole ordeal began. Truthfully, it feels like we somehow transported to the Dramarama video because time seemed to stop, but alas, here we are.
For the recap, I’m not going to put specific dates, but for today’s update, I will title it as such. You’ll see - this should be a pretty easy format to follow (tiki-taka),

When news broke out regarding a Wonho’s sudden departure on October 31 (US and the like time-zones), may have been November 1 for other zones, there really weren’t that many updates in the way of efforts to bring him back. That day was full of shock, so everyone was more angry and depressed - even more so compared to now.
But after a day or two, Monbebes managed to channel their emotions into a bigger cause: Bringing Wonho home, and bringing him home we will.
Let’s recap:
Twitter Monbebes, Carter and Kei, organized the GoFundMe to raise $10,000 USD to purchase an ad in NY Times Square.
Within 45 minutes of initial service, the goal had been met.
After a couple days, the donations kept piling in and finally, as of November 3 - the GoFundMe closed at $25,102 USD ($15,102 USD over the original goal).
The ad’s payment was successful and the ad went up! However, my understanding is that the ad’s run-time ends in a few hours.
Ad’s location: New York, 42nd St. and 7th Ave., facing east.

Reads: We shine brighter as a family, then proceeds to list each name of OT7 along with their logo and a photo of OT7 together with MONBEBE on the photo.
The board kicked off on November 6 and ran 30 times per hour for 15 seconds all day except 2-5 AM.

A petition calling to keep Wonho a member of Monsta X was published. Within a week, the petition is still going pretty strong with over 400k signatures. The goal is 500k, so I predict it will reach its goal within the next week.

In addition, more projects/campaigns have been released since then and can be found in this master-post here.
Since this day, however, more projects have been revealed, so once I compile all of them, I’ll add them to the previous link.
Let’s remember:
K-MBB left sticky notes on Starship Ent.’s building. Eventually, within a few hours, a staff member was photographed collecting them.
News outlets began reporting about Monbebe efforts to bring Wonho back, thus bringing more attention to our goal.
Celebrities reached out and showed their support of Monsta X.
Monbebes began writing everyone to spread awareness - spanning as far as contacting Moon Jae-in, South Korea’s president.
Naver (shockingly) released a positive article - something that’s very rare.
Efforts are still being made to spread more awareness through physical ads in South Korea.
K-MBB’s held a silent protest outside of Starship Ent.
International fans flew to South Korea to participate.
Staff said they can and will welcome Wonho back.
Staff also helped Monbebes greatly:
Met with MBB’s on the day of the silent protest to help them cut out banners.
These plaques read, “I do not want to remain just a memory,” which are lyrics from If Only.
Supported MBB’s in the fan cafe - even went as far as changing their icons, I believe, to photos of Wonho.
Continued collecting MBB sticky notes and even provided tissues at the protests for those who were crying.
Continue encouraging us to continue with our efforts.
Other fandoms have showed their support for Monsta X and MBB.
International MBB are still organizing a silent protest from what I’ve seen circulating the web.
For Minhyuk’s birthday, MBB adopted four whales as gifts. One is a southern humpback named Monbebe, another a blue whale adopted in Minhyuk’s name. I’ve heard another one was named Monsta X, but don’t quote me on it because I’m not 100% sure.
Minhyuk’s birthday tag also reached #1 worldwide trend.
A set of stars were also purchased and named Lee Hoseok and Monsta X.
NY-MBB got a dance group to dance to Follow.
UK-MBB are hosting fundraisers in efforts to raise money for a central London billboard.
As I stated prior, all sorts of ad efforts were, and still are being, made.
Over 30 tags have consecutively trended worldwide for one week - many of them reaching -#1 trend several times.
K-MBB’s used the original fan chant during one of the performances for Follow’s promotions. If you don’t know what I’m referring to, it means that they used the OT7 chant including Wonho’s name.
300 fans were allowed into the Inkigayo recording - 100 over its normal capacity.
Tower Records, international music franchise store, showed their support in their Japan branch’s sector through MX signs and posters.

For those that may not understand, the white ink is circling Wonho’s signature and name on the wristband. Some people claimed it doesn’t matter because those bands are pre-made, but to that I’d like to point out that those bands are made out of paper and his name is printed/signed on the end, so it would have been very easy for staff to cut off the end part if they really wanted to, or were instructed to do so.

In regards to this speculation, he did this recently again as well, so my interpretation is that it’s probably related to the protest as well as exhaustion.

SS is involved in their own, personal, controversy. I’ve made past posts regarding the situation, but for the sake of not stirring the pot, so-to-speak, I’m going to exclude them from this particular post. Until further information about their situation is released, or I feel it’s becoming a detriment to MX, I will bite my tongue.
In regards to 🐻’s controversy, SS confirmed the photos were manipulated (fake).
🐻’s searches have been cleared, at least from my knowledge. I’ve been told that they have been, but I’m not entirely sure if they’ve come back or anything.
I know a lot of people messaged me that particular night in regards to a YouTube video talking about 🐻’s situation and everyone was concerned it would spark up the searches again. I didn’t want to say anything until I saw the video taken down, but I messaged KJ and explained the situation to him. He had no ill intent with his video - in fact, he was trying to help clear the negative rumors revolving around MX. He was just simply unaware that, unfortunately, any publicity regarding 🐻’s situation would trigger the searches again, so I explained this to him and told him about MBB efforts. He completely understood and removed the video.

Updates from November 7:
MX received their 2nd win!

GOT7 congratulated and hugged each member, and E-Dawn congratulated Changkyun.
Only 10 Monbebes were allowed inside for the performance, so Ahgases (GOT7’s fan club) held up Monsta X light sticks during our boys’ performance in place for the MBB not allowed in. Ahgase also helped MBB with the live voting.
In other words: Ahgase and Monbebe are each other’s sweethearts. 💚🤧💜

Hello~ I’m fairly new to kpop and starting stanning Monsta X and was wondering if you could explain to me the age of the members (like who calls who hyung (I’m also new to these terminologies as well as maknae)😭) I’ve been asking around but I am still lost
Hi there!
First off, I’d like to apologize for the late reply! If you still follow us, see this, or any new fans in general, I hope this helps!
Neither I or Admin S are Korean ourselves so we can only state as much as we know and have known in our years of being fans. However, I have studied Korean to an extent for a few years so I will say I have some level of credibility behind what I’m saying!
Also, for any other fans who would love to add on to this definitely feel free to! It’s always nice and helpful getting second opinions on stuff like this especially when it ties into culture!
Please bear with me as I delve into this and explain what I know.
Let me start by listing a few basic terms first and their meanings!
hyung 형 older brother (used by males)
noona/nuna 누나 older sister (used by males)
oppa 오빠 older brother (used by females)
eonni/unni 언니 older sister (used by females)
dongsaeng 동생 younger sibling
jondaetmal 존댓말 formal speech/polite speech
banmal 반말 informal speech
mathyung 맏형 eldest brother (in a group)
maknae 막내 youngest (person in a group)
I’ll try to shorten down the basics and general facts!
In Korean culture, they have a hierarchical system. With this system there is something called jondaetmal (존댓말). It’s split into two different sections: formal speech and polite speech.You would more likely use formal speech towards those of high status (in business, school, work, etc.) and older than you. Polite speech falls with speaking to those you are friendly with and non-business settings.
Then they have banmal (반말) which is known as informal speech. Typically used by the older person to a younger person and also between close friends/individuals.
Basically, anyone older than you, you should address them politely in the language (if not formally appropriate). Anyone younger than you, kind of depends. For example,
(Don’t take my word for sure on this one! But my thoughts are)
If they’re younger than you but it’s your first time meeting, it’d probably be better to use polite speech to them. Even though they’re younger than you, it’s not like you’re close.
If they’re younger than you but you two are close, it’d be appropriate to use banmal with them.
Another big thing to consider is that in Korea, friends is not a loose term. For example, in the United States, you could be friends with someone who’s seven years younger than you, and another person who is ten years older than you. Saying that they’re your friends wouldn’t seem odd in that concept at all. However in Korea, your friends are strictly individuals who are born the same year as you.
For example, if I was born a year before you were, and you told people I was your friend but we’re born in different years, they’d be confused. That’s because I’m older than you, so our relationship is different where I’d be a hyung/eonni to you, and you’d be my dongsaeng.
Now, to delve into the members of Monsta X and how they would address each other.
I’ll start by listing off the members in their public birth orders.
Shownu: June 18, 1992
Wonho: March 1, 1993
Minhyuk: November 3, 1993
Kihyun: November 22, 1993
Hyungwon: January 15, 1994
Jooheon: October 6, 1994
I.M: January 26, 1996
Just by looking at this list, we should be able to say that Shownu is the mathyung, and I.M is the maknae. Starting by I.M and up, whoever is older than who should be addressing that person as hyung.
I’ll try to give a visual as well. Left to right: the people in front of the arrow are called hyung by the individuals left of the arrow. If they’re grouped together, they don’t address each other as hyung and most likely use banmal with each other.
I.M —> Jooheon Hyungwon —> Kihyun Minhyuk —> Wonho Shownu
Before you ask, yes Wonho is paired up with Shownu, and the younger members (including Minhyuk and Kihyun who are born the same year) address him as hyung. But why?
There are a lot of speculations about Wonho’s actual age, and I’ll be very honest I think it’s something monbebes will probably never know or figure out unless if the boys address it.
Some fans say that he was actually born 1992, despite the birth year that’s posted online in a lot of places list 1993. Some say that Wonho is actually older than Shownu entirely and that his birthdate is probably different, but not revealed for several reasons.
Then there is another thing that I lean towards more myself, just because it seems more reasonable regarding an aspect of the Korean culture.
In Korea, if you’re born in January or February, you could be considered as if you were born the year before because it’s “early January” or “early February”. So even though Wonho was born in 1993, if he was enlisted into school early, he would be attending with those born in 1992, therefore he’s basically the same age as them.
In Korea, when asked about age, if you’re born in either of those months and your parents choose to have you older, that’s something that you make clear at the very beginning. You would tell the person asking that you were born “early January” so that they’re aware that you’re a part of the age group a year before.
Which is like what the case seems like for Wonho, Minhyuk and Kihyun. They’re all born the same year, but technically Wonho is part of 1992, so Minhyuk and Kihyun have to address him as their hyung.
But! Just because you’re born in January or February doesn’t automatically make you older than those born in the same year. For example, say Minhyuk was born before Wonho in the same year. If his parents didn’t decide that he was born “early”, then he’d be grouped with those born in 1993, and Wonho would still be older than him regarding Korean culture.
I’m also aware that I said “early January” and “early February” but Wonho was born in March. He was born March 1, though and that’s still pretty close to February so I’m guessing it’s an exception.
I know that was a lot to digest and there are certain things I’m not 110% sure about either, but confident enough to post it as is. Definitely send in any other questions if you want to. Sorry that the post was so long, I really tried to keep it short, but there are just certain points that need to be made to help make sure that you understand and can grasp the concepts and cultural aspects!

1. what is your ideal setting for focusing on your writing?

Just like Namjoon, I find my best moments happen in the middle of the night. There’s something quite romantic and peaceful about it.
Currently, I haven’t a specific work space, just my trusty Mac and my lap. However, a desk like this is my happy place. I seem to work better being able to see people going about their business outside the window. It acts as a distractions sure, but it helps to keep grounded and focused. When I choose to take a break, I hold a mug and people watch a while. Even better if it’s raining.
2. what is your favourite genre to write?
I’m actually new to writing fiction, so I’ve only written smut and self care.
3. do you prefer to write on paper, or digitally?
Digitally when writing but for notes, lists etc I find I digest things better when physically writing them. When I need to remember something I normally write it out by hand.
4. it’s the middle of the night and you suddenly wake up with an idea. what do you do?
Grab phone. Open Google Docs. Bullet concept. Insert picture if applicable. Write down any specifics that made it noteworthy. Might be a line of dialogue, a particular move etc. Melatonin and sleep.
5. who’s your favourite person to write about?
I’m writing more than one, because greedy.
Of course, everyone’s favourite Daddy Joon.
However, I write him because I relate to the version of him the most, making it easy for me. He was also the one that would appear in dreams most often so I feel I know the character I’ve made for him the most. He’s soft, caring but domineering. Just what I need. He is my totem afterall.

My Hoseok persona is hard, dedicated and demanding when he’s ‘performing’ but soft, caring and a complete cutie any other time. You can argue with me if you want on this, but this is how he visits me every time. I think it was the way he demanded attention from Monbebe, the way he cuddled with puppies, and the switch on stage that pinned that for me.

6. do you like making your own characters, or do you usually write about real people?
I write fanfiction so even though the people in my stories exist, they are my version of them. My particular persona, the only thing they share is their name.
7. have you ever written a book, or a story with more than 15 chapters (or 100k words)?
Never. Fiction is new to me. I’ve written assignments etc at around 30K but that’s about it.
8. how often do you get ideas?
Recently, not that much. I normally get ideas when I’m positive in mood and sleeping well. I haven’t been that way for a while so I’m typing up old notes to keep things going.
I used to get ideas a lot, regularly in the middle of the night when I would be heavily dreaming. Hopefully I’ll get back to that.
9. do you ever get an idea that you really like, but just can’t seem to finish?
Yes! I have 1 right now I’ve been writing for almost a year. It’s a One Shot and it’s a interesting concept spurred by something Namjoon said in his 1 to 1 interview in the cab home.
10. what is your least favourite plot?
Do you want a rant? LOL.
I struggle to get into environments that aren’t real, relatable or things that are overly saturated. My mind just auto sighs and switches off to them, things like “friends to lovers”, or “he’s a cunt but I love him”. For me, “friends to lovers” is written a lot and the other to me promotes the opposite of self love and worth. Just personal opinion of course.
I also struggle with some ways people write particular personas. We’re all good to write people how we want, and it’s just personal preference. I.e. I can’t read Jimin as overtly soft. He is caring, gentle etc but he does have a stage demeanour whose personality I relate to more within smut. Of course, I’m not saying this is wrong, it’s just my preference.
Other things. Sex has to be realistic for me. Of course, these are fictional characters so ignore that bit, but things that make it real for me are the people who have thought about personal experiences and written them. ie. how we can feel uncomfortable with someone the first time, we do have surprises or have to work for it, we’re not always naked when we bang, sometimes it’s a spur of the moment kitchen table “need to have you moment”. Again, this is just a personal preference.

Kihyun is a fire fairy. He and his family are from the biggest city from the Fire Clan and always lived a good life. When he was 8 years old he started to manifest his gift: Intense Five Senses. It may not sound impressive but it was actually the reason he was able to be the main vocal from Monsta X.
In the Fire Clan, the kids would be sent to the Imperial School, where they would learn about history and how to live in the clan until they were divided by their power nature to be trained more specifically. Kihyun spent 3 years at that “manners stage”, like old fire fairies call it. Everything is quite intense at that clan, that include education.
His family were already super intense, the reunions were always crazy and fun.Just like their fights were vicious, their love were stronger than anything. Kihyun surely doesn’t fall far from the tree, he liked the spotlight and when his house was full of friends and noise, even if it wasn’t him making the noise.
When he first manifested the Intense Five Senses, Kihyun was at home for a holiday. he and his mother were talking about the school while the woman was cooking. Till this day none of them can explain exactly what happened but on one second Kihyun was talking about his new friend and at the other he was at the ground.
Since then he was forbidden at the family kitchen. Well… Until he was able to control it because as soon he was able to not pass out everytime he smelled human curry he developed a great cooking skill that none of his relatives could help but to beg for him to take charge of the place. He was actually really great when it comes to mixtures and fairy culinary.
His power is actually simple but incredible. His five senses were intensified so every sensation you receive from this world he receive it 4 to 10 times stronger. Not only that but he also can make other beings feel that amplified sensations. Like how you hear his voice and see his performance.
As he grown, Kihyun were able to control how his power affected him and how it affected others. That’s why he developed the taste for cooking and doing house chores, he was able to tell when the smallest thing is wrong in the ambient and guess what combination of flavors would be better for people like Jooheon that can’t eat everything all the time.
His power is also why he was able to be the ‘mother’ of the group, since his super senses make him quite sensible to humor changes. Besides that he could experiment things and know almost instantly how the public would receive it. Kihyun was definitely surprised when Monbebe started to just kinda of love everything he did on stage.

- Hyungwon:
Sweet Hyungwon is a water fairy. He and his family lived at a river inside the country, only having contact with others twice or thrice a year. Not that it matter since they were a happy family, always taking care of each other and having one night guests staying in their house.
Usually there were travelers that needed a place to stay in Hyungwon’s house. His parents were careful but they loved to hear the stories that the travelers told them. It was rare for his house to be empty. That was how Hyungwon discovered his gift at 11 years old.
He was busy the whole day, picking flowers and playing with his younger sibling so he wasn’t home until nightfall. Only then he discovered that his parents had a new guest. Well… an old one actually. That human had being with them a couple of times already and he was super kind to all of them. This time he was going to stay for a week with them.
The traveler had already even adapted to the family’s routine so they didn’t needed to adjust to him staying there. But this time there was something different. The human was sick. Actually it was just a cold but it was enough for influencing Hyungwon. He started to get drowsy every time he got near the man and his noise really hurted at the time.
When he complained to his father, the adult fairy took Hyungwon to a fairy doctor. It was a surprise when the doctor said that Hyungwon was super healthy and there was no problem at all. That made his father think that maybe he had developed the Healing Heart, a gift that would allow him to cure anyone he chooses to.
So, after leaving the doctor’s house, the duo of father and son went to the Big Water Fairy Library that were less than 30 minutes far from their house… Water fairies were really weird… Anyway, they found a book that helped young fairies to learn how to manipulate the Healing Heart. His father brought him and the book back and helped him to develop even more.
This gift was as pure and good as the name given. The Healing Heart really allows it’s user to heal others as they wish. But for the healing really be effective, Hyungwon needs to form a tie with the creature he wants to heal. Like a real tie. That’s why nowadays there are few peoples who are really healed by him: Monsta X and his blood family only actually.
The down side of it is that the user actually receive the pain they are healing. Like when Hyungwon is healing a cold, instead of the creature feeling pain or being uncomfortable Hyungwon will feel all of it. That’s also why he sleeps a lot, it helps his own body heal itself.
Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ
- Jooheon:
Jooheon, like Minhyuk and Shownu, was from the Air Clan. An, again like Minhyuk, his family could turn into an animal. So, unlike Minhyuk now, Jooheon was able to turn into a caramel with black spots cat. That was why his nickname was Honey, his cat form was really like a bee.
His family did have some similar characteristics with Minhyuk’s one, like the incapacity of staying still and the recluse childhood. That’s why he just get really hype when in social situations. Their time to manifest the animal form is also the same, as soon as they can chew solid food.
The particularity of his family is that they are actually really sensible to pain. So they avoid any situations that could have them hurted or even sick. The adults are quick to teach this habit to their child so no one was really found of dangerous plays that cubs are usually down for.
Jooheon came to the human capital to join Monsta X because he didn’t thought about how he could possibly get hurt with rapping. He cried the whole night when he first fell on the dance class… Hyungwon and Kihyun have a lot of problem with he and his fear, they are mostly the ones that are always around him to help.
His cat form often influenced him in humanoid form. He loves to play with soft fabrics and chains that made small noises. Also he was always hot and ready to cuddle with anyone. Although he could be almost 10 meters tall, he could not spare with Wonho, since the oldest didn’t go easy on him like Jooheon’s mother.
His claws are able to cut through almost everything and his roar could be heard from a 40 kilometers diameter. Truly terrifying but his family was teached to fight and put themselves at risk only when their lives or their loved ones were already at risk. So although he avoid pain, he would do anything to protect his loved ones.
Jooheon’s young cat form only reached something about 20 centimeters at tops. Until he reached fairy adulthood, about 20 years old, he would always transform into a little cub everytime his other form appeared. That did not made him have a great childhood even if his parents said to him that that was normal.
He also had a lot of trouble to control his other form so even the slightest pain could make him transform when he was 15 years old. Only when he started to rap and get really into music that his control got better and better until he was able to meet Monbebes and not transform from excitement.

- I.M:
Changkyun is a half water fairy, he was half human half fairy. He lived with his family in a small pond near the ocean. That’s why he could actually speak several languages and was quick to learn new things. Near his house was an mermaid village that were always helping travellers to reach mainland. There were always people coming and going so he learned a lot.
That was also why Changkyun was never lonely, even seeing other fairies only once or twice a year. Since he and his family lived far from everything, his mother almost never took him to season meetings besides the extremely officials ones. They didn’t wanted him to suffer so they stayed near a race that simply didn’t care that he was a hybrid.
He was almost 13 when he finally received his gift. His family were euphoric. Although most of the late manifested gifts were ordinary ones, they wanted Changkyun to feel special and equal to his older brother that had developed God’s Rhythm at 5 years old. Not that Kyun cared about it but he is still really thankful for his parents efforts.
When Kyun turned 13, his father took him to the mermaid village, where he could choose a present. Changkyun was looking around, holding his father’s hand, when suddenly he felt a strong sensation of pride. It was not a emotion he would have, not at 13 years old, although he could compare the emotion to when he was able to win a compliment from his father.
So he did a test. Yes, Chang was smart like that. He let go of his father’s hand and noticed that the sensation passed. Then, he took it again and the sensation was back! Smiling and jumping from excitement, Changkyun described to his father what was happening and asked him what he was so proud of. His father laughed and gently said “Of you, growing up to be so shiny.”
Then Chang discovered that he had manifested Absolute Perception. It allowed him to feel the emotions of the creature he touched. Since then, he started to control it enough so no one in this universe could hide their real emotions and intentions from him. He could tell just with a high five if the fan was a true one or not.
That was why he loved Monsta X right away, although they did have prejudice on the beginning he could see that they weren’t bad inside. They just needed time. He also used his talent a lot on tours to take care of his members mental health. He is so close of them now that he just need to be around them to read their emotions.
While when you can control Absolute Perception nobody can hide anything from you, when you are untrained powerful people can actually manipulate the Perception so it can’t say what is true and what is false, so you can be fooled easily if you’re not careful.

My bias is Wonho and it happened maybe a month or so after I became a Monbebe 🥺! I don’t really remember how it happened, I think it was because he seemed to feel things the same as me if it makes sense 🥺 but I hardly remember, it’s like one day I woke up and it happened haha! And since then I think of him and the others too everyday!! And I am always happy that I became a Monbebe 💗

Normally our kpop road trips take me and @violagoth to Los Angeles, so it was really fun to go somewhere else for a change. This time we hit up Las Vegas for the iheart radio festival to (obviously) support Monsta X.
Our Saturday morning consisted of waking at 4 in the morning after sleeping for 2 hours to start the drive. When we got to Vegas, we were lucky enough to get an early check in, but still meant we weren't able to get to the festival till about 2:30. We had a pretty decent view of the stage, though we were furthur back than I would've liked :( oh well. Monsta X started their set at 3:15 and it did not start well. The boys weren't introduced and the music started playing before they were even on stage. They ran out and started performing, but the music suddenly cut off and Play It Cool started playing for a hot second?? Then it went back to Shoot Out. The boys looked super confused and pissed off. Not only that, but some of the mics weren't working properly so it was hard to hear Hyungwon, Minhyuk, and Wonho at times. Then they took 30 seconds to quickly introduce themselves to the audience, but that's the only interaction we got :( the other artists were able to talk inbetween their songs. Their set was over in 15 minutes, so we were a little bummed out. The camera work was also really off. The cameraman really loved Jooheon (can't blame him) but didn't give the other members a lot of screen time. Also he didn't record when someone was singing, so it literally just looked like the boys were just dancing to a track 😕 Also half of the time, they were filming the crowd instead of mx? It was kind of weird.
Despite all the set backs during their performance, the boys did a great job! They handled everything very professionally ♡ We didn't end up going to the Life Is Beautiful festival, but everything I've read from other fans is that it ran a lot smoother, so I'm happy for them! A huge shout out to the boys cause they were probably exhausted and dancing out in the Vegas desert heat. Kings of my heart 💖

We also stayed for Billie Eilish, who was a m a z i n g. The crowd went wild for her, it was crazy.
After the show, we took a quick nap and then got ready to go see Steve Aoki play at the Hakkasan nightclub. We got to meet up with another monbebe from our group chat and her friends. Lots of fun was had. Eventually I was able to get me and Gracie down onto the actual dancefloor right before Steve Aoki played Play It Cool 🙌 We also got Waste It On Me and Mic Drop by BTS, so my multi stan heart was happy ♡
To end our trip in Vegas, we had to make a quick trip to see the Jooheon birthday billboard! We knew the general area it was located in but it still took a bit of searching. I know it was a little out of the way, but I hope the boys were able to go look at it before they left for LA. 🎂 Happy early birthday, Honey 🍯

So I went on my Monsta X adventure and I’m still not entirely sure it’s actually hit me, what all happened.
I flew down to Dallas for hi touch and send off. I was 3rd row almost center (seating chart said 4th row, but it ended up being 3rd, like praise Keanu). I shared a moment with Jooheon towards the end of the concert. I noticed absolutely no one in front of me in the entire section had their phones up, their arms were all down, no light sticks in the way. I thought, this is my chance. I never do this. I never interact. But I thought, if I put my arm up right now — with Jooheon directly in front of me — he’ll see. So I did. I shot my hand straight in the air, flashed the 🤟🏻 sign.....and he immediately did it back to me. My heart stopped, I cried, I disconnected from reality for a full 20 seconds.
Hi touch was a blur. We were literally shoved through the line by staff, screaming in our ears “JUST HIGH FIVE AND GO. GO GO GO.” I almost missed Hyungwon because staff behind me was pushing me through so fast, but I managed to make it. His fingers wrapped around mine, and that’s one of the only things I really remember from the entire night was how...long his fingers were👀
Turns out we weren’t actually supposed to squeeze their hand? The rules were “just a high five.” I never heard this rule (legitimately, I never heard it), but I squeezed their hands anyways. And they did it back, so clearly they weren’t listening to the rules either (they never do).
Then send off was just as much of a blur. I was lined up right on the barricade. They walked passed. Hyungwon again squeezed my hands with those long fingers. Shownu grabbed my hand. I must have looked like I said something, or WANTED to say something, and he kind of paused and turned back towards me like “???” And I kind of panicked and said “Thank you!” He just smiled and nodded and went on. Jooheon and Minhyuk were carrying Ollie. Changkyun was chaotic and wonderful and grabbed @dameviolencia’s card she made for him, and we both cried. Wonho tripped over the barricade directly in front of me and on reflex my arm shot out to catch him, and bitches I caught those abs. I saved those tiddies. Pretty sure @dameviolencia’s arm got in there too. We old, I guess the mom instinct kicked in idk.
And that was it. That was the end of the night. It was a blur. I remember more than I expected to, but there’s still so much I know I missed. I’m just hoping bits and pieces come back to me over time.
The next night was Houston. I didn’t get VIP, and was in P2 seating. But honestly it was still amazing. It was much more relaxed, I had a better view of the crowd, and the stage. I got nice and buzzed. There was a Monbebe a couple rows in front of me literally thrashing through the entire concert and I loved it. Hyungwon rapped. I sobbed during their ending speeches. I haven’t cried that hard in a while, and I completely lost it. Blame it on the alcohol, blame Minhyuk apologizing for only giving us 15% when Monbebe always give them 100%. It was emotional, it was amazing, and I’m so thankful I got to experience it. I’m thankful for the time I got to spend with friends down there, the friends I met, the friends I made. And I’m thankful for Monsta X.

Dating an idol was hard, you couldn’t lie as you walked beside him backstage. His performance over as his hand found yours squeezing it while you passed various idol groups until you were back in the dressing room. He kept your hand in his as they wiped his face clean of makeup and sweat before he tugged you into a couch. His hands on you as you sat in his lap. His lips brushed your ear before he spoke low.
“Want to know my favorite thing about performances?” He asks.
You nod shifting to turn in his lap so your back rested against the arm rest and your legs laid across the couch. Your gaze finding his as you pulling his hands into yours on your lap.
“Finding you after,” he says softly. You bite your lip looking down as he kisses your temple. “Thank you for supporting me Baby.”
“Always,” you murmur before pecking his lip and squeezing his hands. He grins before reversing the hold so your hands rested in his. His fingers gently caressing your palms. “I like watching you,” you say as you both stay in your little world together. “I like watching you feel the audience and the music. I like watching you give them everything you can before coming back to me.”
He grins blushing before licking his lips. “I like the way your hand fits in mine.”
You laugh shaking your head at him. “I like the way you dance,” you return and he chuckles. “And the way those leather pants fit so tight to your ass.”
He laughs before nuzzling his face into your shoulder. “Promise me something?” He asks, his voice barely above a whisper now.
You nod, “of course.”
He stares at you before he exhales leaning in to kiss your cheek. “Never give up on me?”
You nod biting your lip before pressing your forehead to his chin. You wish he could understand how much Monbebe, his team, and his family loved him and how much you loved him, but sometimes the doubt creeped in and you knew that as you pushed him to believe in himself. “You are stuck with me Babe,” you giggle and he smiles as you lift your head to kiss his lips in a quick peck. “Promise me to do something for me?” You ask. He nods as you try to lighten the mood. “Dance for me please?”
He laughed shaking his head. “No.”
“Why not?” You pout.
He smiles pecking your nose. “I just danced on stage and we are in a dressing room.”
“Later then?” You ask and he nods before snuggling into you. You grin and let him hold you for the rest of the evening.

Monsta X We Are Here NYC 2019 Fan Account
-Opening greetings: Hyungwon and Jooheon had us screaming their names, Kihyun got scared he broke his mic with his high note, and Minhyuk asked if we missed him and Wonho.
-Wonho asked us to sing the English lyrics to “Play It Cool” for them. Kihyun didn’t believe we could and was super shocked when we did. Haha.
-During Mohae Minhyuk rapped Jooheon’s part with Jooheon hyping him up and Jooheon took Kihyun’s high note as a very worried hamster watched lol.
-All the glorious hair the fuck.
-First VCR: All the members were vloggers on Montube: Minhyuk doing makeup, Changkyun English, Wonho workouts, Jooheon cooking, Kihyun barista, Hyungwon fashion, and Shownu ASMR. Changkyun taught us different ways to say I love you and the meaning of “take my body” fml. Wonho, our “sweet and vanilla boy” taught us stretches to do during the concert. Jooheon taught us how to make a honey burrito(?) and told us not to skip meals; watching him cut veggies was a scary process. Kihyun compared some of the members to different coffees and warned us to be careful with coffee and our hearts because he’s taking them. Hyungwon’s number one fashion tip is to be confident; if you wear mismatched socks, pretend you did it on purpose. Shownu ate chicken, pizza, and cookies for his asmr

-Fucking pinstripe suits for Minhyuk, Kihyun and Hyungwon in their solo stage.
-In Jooheon and Changkyun’s stage, they did Rock Paper Scissors to do a bottle flip. Jooheon won but faked us out
-Shownu and Wonho really went and massacred Monbebe with how aesthetically orgasmic their stage was.
-When they came back from their subunit stages, the prop wall from Shownu and Wonho’s stage was still being moved, so Kihyun mimed opening a door into the “room.” Minhyuk got embarrassed and pushed him. Hyungwon said that Shownu and Wonho lit up the stage, but wanted to make sure we didn’t forget about the three of them.
-They asked Minhyuk to talk about their stage, so of course he sang some of the lyrics with swear words in them. Hyungwon and Kihyun panicked, Monbebes loved it. Kihyun immediately asked if anyone was under 15 and started apologizing while Hyungwon took Minhyuk by the neck and made him bow in apology too.
-Minhyuk said Hyungwon’s hair is more “powerfully sexy,” to which Hyungwon said he thought powerful and sexy was the same thing, so powerful plus sexy is boom. Minhyuk: “You got boom?” Hyungwon: “I got boom!”
-Jooheon and Changkyun joined them, with Jooheon apologizing for not making the bottle flip despite practicing. So he tried again and failed, then Changkyun tried and failed, then Hyungwon tried and did it. Changkyun said he was practicing backstage and made it every time so he didn’t understand why he didn’t do it. Minhyuk replied, “Practice more.”
-For Shownu and Wonho’s subunit, Wonho produced the song so Shownu did the choreo. Changkyun said their bodies were more than just sexy, and Jooheon added they had really cool abs. Hyungwon also commented, “Your bodies so angry, lots of ab flashes.” So of course they all had to marvel at Wonho’s perfection.
-During Honestly, Shownu gave Jooheon a finger heart, Jooheon poked his cheek back, Changkyun said that no matter how well we did, he’d love us forever, and Kihyun mimed playing the piano.
-Noel Hada literally had me typing gibberish it was so cute with so many finger hearts and arms hearts and just aldkfjsoejtbsklgabfk. Kihyun and Changkyun did a forehead press for two seconds before Changkyun got embarrassed at pushed Kihyun away.
-Minhyuk: “I think the vibe is amazing. And just as much as you all are amazing, we’re amazing too.” They singled out Minhyuk as amazing at producing, Wonho at performances, Kihyun at sweetest vocals(nominated himself), Shownu as the aegyo bear, and Hyungwon as the healthiest physicals. Hyungwon immediately started doing pushups, but Kihyun picked up his legs to make it harder. Finally, Changkyun added “But out of all those things, we’re more famous for best fans in the world. Please continue to be monbebes we can be proud of. My lovely proud monebe, next song. I love this song with no reason.”
-The next VCR had them as the 7 deadly sins: hyungwon pride, im envy tarot reader, Kihyun lonliness,jooheon greed, wonho sloth, nunu wrath, min agony. Tattoo artist Jooheon have Shownu a tattoo on right shoulder of flaming torch with an eye.(you bet that’s going in a fic somewhere).
-Jooheon:The energy we got was absolutely phenomenal. There are many concerts on our tour, this may be the best and we promise we’ll come back. Monbebe, stay healthy and make sure to eat Well. Tomorrow, think of us. Promise me.
-Ending goodbyes (done almost all in English, so proud of them!!! :3 )
Shownu: This is a city I’ve seen in many films and lyrics and I feel like tonight what we did with you was a movie. Will you continue by mx’s side? We always want to be by your side.
Wonho: We came to NY last winter, but it wasn’t for our tour. Because NY is not only beautiful but it’s more because here are my beautiful, most precious fans. I know you’ve waited a long time and I know I can’t satisfy you but I was glad to exchange emotions tonight. I know you’ve been worrying a lot. I want to assure I I am completely fine. I was just being careful. So thankful to you all. Love you.
Min: I’m really not a special person but when you call my name, I feel like I become a special person. I said this last year but today, just the same, it’s because of you guys that I feel so special. Kiki; It’s the 3rd time in NY. Over the years, the venues have gotten bigger and we’ve made more songs and welcomes more Bebe and our abilities have gotten better, agreed? Only thing remains unchanged: our hearts and minds. Most important thing is our heart and your heart. We know your happiness depends on us so I will do the to work hard, so that’s why I want you all to stay by our side okay? Promise? We’re grateful for what you do. We love you.
Hyungwon: (the whole theater was chanting saranghae with him). I love you guys a lot and thank you for spending your precious time with us. It’s because of you I feel so happy. We will become harder working monxta x. I hope we can all meet each other again because there’s not enough time on our tour. We’ll be able to finish our tour happy because of you.
Jooheon: Today, you are so real. First I want to say how thankful I am and touched by all who came. It might not be enough but I prepared something because I wanted to look at you and tell a message from heart: I got to NY and saw everyone is so busy, seeing the busy people I want to become a small happiness for them. Sometimes you get so busy you forget what makes you happy. Take time to remember. I promise to be that happiness for Monbebe, from bottom of my heart. Love you so much. Changkyun: Wow, me too. I saw a lot of people busy, hope we can be a little happiness in your life. There’s a lot of preconceptions about kpop like it’s a fad. They’ll say “You don’t know language. Why’re you doing this? Just stop.” None of us are born in the US, we’re not really good in English but I believe music is a language. We are all the same, we are all human. Let’s make them shut up!
