unpopular opinion but a ship being queer coded doesn't make it compelling
#the dynamic between the characters‚ on another hand‚ does!#sometimes ships from certain media are carried by 'queer coding' instead of being relevant because of the actual relationship#that‚ to me‚ means very little#what does it matter if their colours compliment each other or that their names are intended to hint at something if the relationship in#the story fails to portray anything romance-like or their dynamic is just poorly written?#i could go on a tangent here because this is coming from me wanting to rant about a specific genshin ship but i will shut up#i just want to be a hater#i don't even hate the ship itself it's the fans who take scenes out of context and depth from the characters to make the narrative fit#also the constant idea in fandoms that friendships/platonic relationships can't have depth or be the reason someone cares deeply for#somebody else. or even the idea platonic feelings can't be complicated.#i think it's also hard for me to swallow every genshin ship because it's obvious they use queer coding without compromise as a way to#profit with both the staights and the lgbts but whatever#yes i am aware of the censorship but i'm also aware they're a multi-millionaire company that keeps repeating the same 'formula'#for marketing everytime new characters are released... and it works.#genshin will never be as gay as actual gay media from gay creators and i think people have a hard time grasping that#a bit unrelated to my original point but also not really because i do think it influences the way people interact with the story#i'm not trying to say people can't have fun by the way 😂#this all started because i dislike a popular ship and that makes you feel like you're somehow missing a few screws#how come i'm the only right person here 🤣 (joking)

I'm gonna be frankly honest. I'm probably going to get slandered for it anyway whether it's here, Twitter, Reddit or else where. Go for it, I don't care, I am not a bringer of truths and I never said I was, I am just some weird theorists online who can be wrong just as anybody can. We have been called every names and even toxic when we are literally the one being attacked, non-stop because we don't believe and didn't agree with the main views and thoughts of the fandom. Hypocrite much but I digress.
I am happy for those who liked all of this and happy, in a certain way, for those who reported the leaks and or believed in it. I am an empathetic person, far too much sometimes, so I enjoy seeing other people happy from anything, in this case entertainment they love. The thing is, I enjoy things in this show that other people don't or that a few people do. The elements I like are almost being ridiculed everytime and everywhere in the majority of this fandom. I personally am tired of that. What do I see in this teaser, the elements I love are pushed to the side once again to cater and market to the masses once again. It was fine in 1, 2 and especially 3, because that was point in that season.
I am happy for those whose elements they love got brought back, some that I like and some that I don't like.
I am not hyped for Season 4 anymore, might be overkill but I don't care. I am slowly losing interest for it personally. This ST Day was dissapointing for me. I barely enjoyed any of it.
I am sick of having to swallow tropes and ideas that I just do not enjoy and are inherently bad in their very concepts. I don't care about them.
Subtext is interesting, I love subtext. But it's still subtext. Something that a lot of people do not see and can be dropped when the authors don't want, need or can't use it or do anything with it. There are very few instances where it becomes more essential than the main text. The 004 teaser was messy, confusing and boring in many parts. I wanted to see main text from the characters and the story that I love and I care.
I am not asking for a plot twist or anything major but something different more clear. Even if it turns out to be not true.
I love El but making it all about her and her relationship with Mike does not interest me. What about the other Byers and their stories ? Jonathan, Will and Joyce, some small bits here and there but that's it. We started this story with this family and now it feels and are advertised as just a background for El's plot who we already new about and was much more interesting in 002.
I dear god, HOPE, it's not the case and that the Byers are not just standing around experiencing El's plot. It ruins the potential these characters have. At least Joyce may have something to do but Jonathan and Will, I worry a lot about their story.
I see pretty much everything everyone is talking about here. I see the subtext but if the plan is still Season 5. I need things to come to light already.
Instead we got Season 3-esque type of stuff.
Season 3 worked for what it's supposed to do and I can appreciate it's genius but it was season 3, it was supposed to be that way. I can defend this season but there was legitimate criticism with the ways certain things were handled.
I think it's normal to have certain expectations and wants from a show especially three seasons into it. Like everyone, there's thing I want and I don't want. But apparently, there not as valid for some people but I don't care, I genuinely did not like many things I saw, read and heard.
If you did good for you. I didn't and I don't want to pretend like I did.
I am not pissed by the release date. I expected it. COVID and the recent demands by the workers would have delayed it anyway.
I am more mad at the fact that after telling everyone that their set was very safe for leaks, a fucking leaker decided to leak stuff as much as he could and the things I've heard, I do not like them. (And apparently, there's more to those.) I don't, I truly don't. It's my humble opinion, if you do, great for you. It will be boring and cliché if it happens for me.
Now what is mixed with real leak and theories by these same people remains to be seen. They might have also not all the information of these particular plots so they might just know the superficial part of it all and might be missing some parts. But so far, I am not excited for Stranger Things 4. It is probably overkill but I honestly I am not excited.
There are some things that I did enjoy and found interesting but my thoughts and feelings are mostly negative at the moment. I have reasons that I found legitimate and I am now even more cautious than I was before. I have experienced too much similar stuffs in other stories, I don't want to reexperience it again.
My head needs to rest and clear itself to get to the analysis part of it all. But right now, I am not motivated, I am sorry.
If you did enjoy it, good for you, I am happy for you. I didn't sadly and it's pissing me off. I feel bad and guilty for not doing so. Slander me all you want, at this point, I don't care.

An AU where Doppio, the Bucci gang and other characters work for Diavolo, with the special participation of La Squadra!

Chapter 1:
PASSIONE™ Empress Liquid Matte Lipstick
After some months of back and forths, this was the change that Passione Inc. Needed since a long battle with sale drops, unproductivity and a really uncomfortable laboral ambient. The employees of Passione weren’t really amused to welcome a new president, mostly because of the fear of another group of severe managers and supervisors, the complete re-structuration of the company or, worse of all, the posible chance of massive layoffs. The business destiny was uncertain, and this was possibly the last opportunity to avoid going bankrupt. But maybe, just maybe, changes don’t have to be necessarily bad, right? Why not being optimistic just for once? Maybe it couldn’t be that bad to have a new male president for a makeup company...
 Diavolo was the perfect man for the position. A clever, determined, and experienced man with a short but sucessful career in the world of female beauty. Too impressive, but also too “misterious” and portable of a “dark menacing aura” that most of the employees could not stand and tried to avoid as much as possible. A total opposite of him was his assistant, Vinegar Doppio, a cheerful young man that sometimes was too clumsy and distracted, and sometimes too shy at interacting with other people. But everyone in the company liked him anyways, he was really pleasant and interesting to talk too, everytime he had a break after serving his boss the lunch or a cup of coffee.
 “He is too harsh with everyone around him!” told Mista to the young boy while helping him with some fallen documents.
 “I think I heard him yelling at you this morning, did he?”
 “What? Of course not! He must have been talking to his daughter on the phone!” said Doppio with a little blush in his cheeks and looking down a bit nervous.
 “Also... he always treats me respectfully...”
 Oh yes, Doppio was working for Diavolo since some months ago and now he was deeply in love with him. He couldn’t resist his imponent presence, elegance, his deep voice, his misterious green eyes and, god, that lovely long pink hair... Everything about Diavolo was enciting. It was really difficult to concentrate on the daily work when he had such a desirable man around him most of the time, then things got worse when the boss started to smile and talk to him more confidently, and even he started to call him “my Doppio” after being used to his joyful presence and great efficiency in the organization and personal tasks.
 “Ah... why do you have to torture me saying that!! it's not fair...” said Doppio to himself while daydreaming with those dark lips caressing his.
 “My Doppio ... you do such an excellent job ... I need to reward you in some way ...” said the boss in the boy's imagination, letting him sit on his lap and lifting his chin up reaching for his little soft lips. Doppio just closed his eyes and corresponded the kiss.
 "Oh, boss ... you're so nice with me ... I love working for you ..."
 Unfortunately, those daydreams were just that. Daydreams. Doppio heard the boss was married to a beatiful ex model called Donatella Una, and they had a teenage girl called Trish. The same girl that sometimes called the boss begging for money for new shoes or to negotiate her remain days of grounding. Doppio didn’t know about Donatella because he wasn’t really interested in the fashion world, and Diavolo didn’t like to talk about his family or private life. But of course, it was totally logical to have a model or celebrity as wife when you're a rich and sucessful bussiness man.  Anyways, if Diavolo wasn’t married or if even he liked men, there would be no chances at all to conquer his heart. Why would him fall for a childish and simple boy like him? He wasn’t tall, strong or intelligent like his boss. And after some recent rejections, why would Diavolo -of all the people- would accept him so easily?
 With a deep sigh and a slight sense of pain in his chest, he accepted the reality.
 “It’s ok... at least I can work with him and enjoy his company...” said Doppio to himself with a sad smile.
But Doppio was wrong. So wrong. Diavolo desired him secretly as much or even more than he thought since the day he saw him in the HR department for the job interview. There were few candidates, but after personally checking his CV he decided Doppio would be the ideal person for the position, so after talking with Bucciarati from human resources, the boy got the call of approval.
 The first days were a bit uncomfortable and the boy felt weird for being with such an important person, but he gradually got used to Diavolo’s personality and did his best to meet his needs. Most of the time the boss was busy and participating from meeting to meeting, but when he had a spare time he liked to talk to Doppio about his day and other trivial things. Diavolo was pleased with the boy’s job performance and mostly with his lack of bad intentions, something he was used to expect about most of the people of the bussiness world.
 “God... he’s so cute and works ten times better than the last assistant I had...” said the boss to himself daydreaming with that cute butt and adorable freckles. Diavolo loved the sight of those round buttocks and nice thighs every time his assistant bent down looking for a fallen pen or searching for an specific document in the lower drawer. He loved those amber eyes, tiny nose and pink lips but most of all, his cheerful and caring personality. Diavolo desired him with so much yearning. He wanted to declare himself but didn’t exactly know how to. On the other hand, a cute and lovely boy like him must have a couple.
 “I just want to grab him right here... I want to touch him... mark him... oh, I want to fuck him so badly... But I can’t do something like that, at least not that way...I’m sure that he would be terrified and he wouldn’t know how to react. But... such a nice boy like him sure has a girlfriend. Can he possibly like men? If so, he would like men like me?... Maybe he just sees me as his boss and nothing else?...”
 Diavolo was getting nervous asking himself those questions but he had a company to lead, and tons of problems to solve, so he tried to forget those thoughts at least for some days.
 That was a terrible week and it was just Wednesday. An issue with the internet network delayed the work, Diavolo had an argument with the marketing director, the sample pigments for the new palettes came with a color mistake, and several employees were sick because of the winter weather. Doppio was healthy but lately more stressed due problems with his department, and now he was running late to Diavolo’s office with mineral water, a pair of folders and receipts. The boy entered the office to discover his boss on the phone, scribbling on a piece of tissue since he couldn’t find anywhere to write between the mountains of paper above his desk.
 “I’m sorry, boss. The elevator is on maintenance and mr. Bruno told me to give you this” -said the boy placing the folders in the chair- “Let me help you with those... papers” Doppio had to take a pause while talking to admire his boss’ outfit. He was wearing a dark burgundy suit, black shirt with a red tie matching his dark lips, a pair of dark gloves and reading glasses.
 “Oh my god... he looks so hot!!” thought the boy with a flushing face, trying to look elsewhere.
 “Doppio! I need to talk to you about the next week schedule, do you have a minute right now?”
 “Of course, boss” the boy tried to just look at Diavolo’s hands, instead of his hot figure.
 “I know I already asked for various re-schedules but please, could you book me an hotel for next monday? I need to reunite with these people in Venezia,  unfortunately there is the chance of closing some subsidiaries and...”
 Diavolo just kept talking while moving his hands but Doppio couldn’t resist to his boss presence, he was totally ignoring what he was saying at this point.
 “His voice is so enchanting... oh... I wish he could say he loves me with that deep voice... I want those arms holding me tightly... I need him... I need him so much...”
 “What's wrong with him? He looks feverish ... ”thought Diavolo watching his assistant's face growing hotter and sighing heavily, with half lidded eyes and semi-opened red lips.
 “Umm... my Doppio... are you ok?” Diavolo just tilted his head down a bit and he found the cause of the boy’s condition. He stopped talking, changed his serious expression to a smirk and got his hand closer to his lips, teasingly.
 “My Doppio... am I distracting you, right? I don’t blame you, it’s inevitable...”
 “Uhh... what! Oh-of course not, boss!! I’m listening!” said the boy snapping from the daydream, and obviously lying to avoid getting scolded.
 “Excuse me, but then... why are you so hard right now?”
 “...”
 “whaaaaaaaa...?” the boy looked down, and efectively, his dick was completely hard and asking for some release. Doppio looked at his boss, then at his erection and then covered it with both hands. His cheeks were completely flushed, and now tried to hide his face, incapable of pronouncing any word.
 “How cute... I should not make him think I’m laughing at him...”
 Diavolo chuckled a bit and smiled, he really was enjoying looking at the boy in this peculiar situation, but then...
 “I-I am... I am sorry...!! I’m so sorry, boss!” said the young boy trembling and crying huge amounts of tears. He started weeping uncontrolably.
 -“I can’t believe this is happening!! I’m getting fired! I ruined everything!! Now he thinks I’m gross... he won’t forgive me... I’m so fucking stupid!!”-
 Doppio just covered his face, trying to not look at his boss, and kept crying. He looked like a filthly brat in front of his boss. Why this had to happen now? Why exactly in this moment? Why can’t he stop being so horny all the time? He never was so ashamed like in this moment. Diavolo changed his smile to a serious look again and got up from the chair instantly when he heard Doppio sobbing.
 “It’s ok, Doppio. Don’t worry.” “Shhhh... don’t cry. It just happens, sometimes for no reason...” Diavolo hold him tighly and cleaned his tears away. He didn’t really wanted to make him cry.
 “I-I... I’m so embarassed... I didn’t want to offend you, boss! Please!... forgive me...”
 “I said it’s fine, my Doppio. I won’t punish you for this, don’t worry...”
 “B-but... I...” The boy was really confused. Why his boss was comforting him so nicely? why didn’t he yell or slapped him? why he looked like this situation was ok?
 “A-aren’t you mad at me?”
 “Of course not, my sweet Doppio”
 “...sweet???...” thought Doppio, most confused than ever.
 “But why?”
 “Well... basically, it’s not your fault... that’s something we can’t control over, right? And that gets worse when you... are in front of somebody... that you really like... right?” Doppio looked at Diavolo directly at his eyes, completely speechless.
 “Am I correct, my Doppio? This reaction was because of me?”
 Doppio’s eyes were big like plates, he was trembling and unable to articulate any words.
 “My Doppio. I am your boss, and you should obey all my orders, ok? Now I’m ordering you to tell me the truth... Do you like me, Doppio?”
 The boy hesitated for a moment and then gave up. He just looked down, waiting for the real punishment.
 “Yes, boss... I do like you... I want you...” he pronounced the last words like a whisper, almost bursting into tears again.
 “Good”
 Diavolo quickly tilted his chin up and smashed his dark and plump lips to the boy’s trembling ones. Doppio instantly opened his eyes and the boss hugged him more tighly. The boy was unable to react. He couldn’t move. He couldn’t even breathe, and then, after some seconds that seemed like eternity, the boss broke the kiss with a fine thread of saliva connecting their mouths.
 “Ah...” said Doppio with the face red as a tomato, too shocked to say anything else.
 “I am so glad to hear that” said his boss looking at him with lustful eyes, licking his lips for a second round of making out.

Day 12 - Chillerama (2011)

The last drive in...
As is tradition around these parts, we like to toss in the odd anthology film just for some variety. Now, it has been a while since we properly covered one since the last few I watched were in that blind period where I’d be watching stuff but not blogging due to laziness, namely Trick ‘r Treat, V/H/S and Tales from the Darkside. Between those and early entries like Creepshow I/II/III and the Twilight Zone movie, I feel like I’ve hit upon the bigger names of this sub-genre. I think the other big one would be Tales from the Crypt, which occupies this space in time between the comic and the TV show. I will freely admit, I’m watching this for one reason alone which we will get to.

Things start with a guy digging up a corpse and getting his dick bitten off before exclaiming that he’s ‘late for work’. I suppose that’s one way to avoid answering any awkward questions in the office. ‘Good weekend?’ ‘What did you get up to last night?’. No one ever asks you what you did before you came to work, clearly the best time to get your necrophilia ways in.
I don’t get the significance of the blue blood though, other than maybe it standing out because it’s so unique? It’s not like they’re trying to tone down the movie or anything, doing a Mortal Kombat turning the blood grey and calling it sweat. We will see later that this movie gets very graphic.
Turns out he works at a drive in movie theatre that is shutting down, tonight being the last night. This serves as the framing device to tie all the other stories together, cutting back to the drive in between segments to catch up with some of the main characters.

Up first is ‘Wadzilla’ the story of Miles, whose swimmers aren’t so strong if you know what I’m saying. His doctor, played by Ray Wise, prescribes him some new medicine that hasn’t been approved for market yet but he would make a good test case for. It wont help him make any more sperm but it will give what he does have a little more pep.

Or in actuality, cause him to grab his dick everytime he so much as feels the slightest arousal and have a look of the guy from the ‘Jizz in my Pants’ video.

Turns out that new medicine is causing his sperm to grow massively. Look at the size of that thing, must be like passing a kidney stone. The good doc advises he cease taking the pills and, should this happen again, he needs to jerk off as soon as possible to get the little bleeder out.
Unfortunately, Miles heads out on a blind date and catches sight of his date’s cleavage so has to rush to her bathroom to rub one out. What ensues is a chaotic scene in which the released sperm starts scurrying around the room like a lost gerbil and Miles trying to stop it. He even wrenches the shower curtain off the wall and tries to harpoon the gooey troublemaker like he’s Captain Ahab. Well at least we avoided that horrible trope of the date blocking the toilet.

Or so I thought, as Miles tries flushing his wasted offspring, only for it to cause the toilet to backup and spew water everywhere. Miles’ date wonders just what the hell is going on in there, only to get attacked by the beast which has even spawned teeth by this point. It even tries to fulfil it’s destiny of getting inside her, only for Miles to intervene and launch it out of a window.

This sperm doesn’t stop growing though as it starts to go on a rampage through the city like it’s the T-Rex is Jurassic Park 2, starting by eating this Worzel Gummidge looking hobo.
Pretty soon it’s destroying buildings and the army have been called in. But even they can’t stop it from what it wants to do...

This calls for General Bukkake, played by Eric Roberts, to call in an airstrike which destroys the creature and the statue, even if that means he ends up living up to his name in the resulting explosion.
Our two love birds even get to finally share a kiss, though it’s a lot closer to snowballing under these circumstances.
Blocked toilet tropes aside, my most hated of tropes, this one was pretty fun. Definitely has that 50’s b-movie quality down with some fake film grain, green screen and practical monster effects.

Meanwhile, back at the drive in, dickless the clown is in the store room and the implication is that he’s jerking off. But I don’t know what he’d exactly be jerking off at that point except a small stump. The only other thought is that he’s trying to clean the wound or something but there’s a definite jerking motion going on. Either way, he sticks his hand in the popcorn butter so he can rub it where his junk used to be. Unfortunately for everyone intending to eat that night, one of the staff comes in to restock and chooses that can. This doesn’t end well.

Segment two is ‘I was a Teenage Werebear’, Werebear being a sub-genre I feel Hollywood has not explored sufficiently. The best way I can describe this one is Grease if it was written by Chuck Tingle, with some supernatural elements thrown in. Pounded In The Butt By My Closeted Lust For The Local Greaser Thugs Who Happen To Be Werebears. Just a strange mix of musical, horror, LGBT and beach movie.

Cosplay James Dean and his girlfriend here are in the middle of song when she promptly gets run over and surprisingly not killed. She’s just left in this sort of half brain dead state for the rest of the segment where she’s spouting random nonsense. This isn’t all bad as it lets him focus on his real love, Cosplay Albert Wesker.

What he doesn’t know is that leather daddy here is a werebear and, during a wrestling match, he gets bitten on the ass and infected with the werebear curse. There’s worse things you can be infected with through the ass. This does lead though to a homo-erotic argument cum slowdance set to the remarkably catchy ‘Love Bit Me on the Ass’ sung in a 1950/60’s rock and roll style.

But it’s a love that cannot last and Ricky knows he has to save the good people the only way you can stop a werebear, by sodomising them with a silver pole.
This one is certainly...different, I’ll give it that. I certainly wasn’t expecting a coming of age story dealing with the confusing world of the developing sexuality of the hormonal teenager so kudos to it for pushing some boundries.

Now, onto the reason I picked this one out, ‘The Diary of Anne Frankenstein’. My gosh, what a glorious pun. I should have known just from that that I shouldn’t take this movie seriously so I’m not sure why I was so surprised when it turned out to be a goofball horror comedy but oh well.

I don’t know quite what I was expecting from this but I still feel letdown slightly. It just feels like an excuse to poke fun at Hitler by making him a bit stupid but I feel we already explored this idea quite thoroughly in the Producers. Still, I guess they had to make things up a bit considering this involves creating a Frankenstein monster from the limbs of concentration camp victims. Christ.

It does end with the Monster beating Hitler to death with his own arm before dancing over his decapitated corpse so it does have it’s upsides.

We then get faked out with the next segment ‘Deathication’, a movie so scary it will make you shit. Only, the projector starts playing up and the movie cuts out. I for one am glad because the 30 seconds we see of this was bad enough, I don’t think I could have taken a whole segment of it. Te come to find that the drive in owner is being attacked by dickless who has turned full zombie. Turns out his special brand of butter has contaminated all the popcorn and turned the patrons into zombies as well.

That is to say, randy zombies that engage in a blood orgy that would make the people in Event Horizon blush. People are giving blow jobs to intestines, stump fucking, spit roasting people before tearing them in half and engaging in even more stump fucking.

It feels like someone else wrote this section specifically because it turns into the drive in owner going out in a blaze of glory, bandoliers and weapons strapped to his body as he tries to save the last few kids left alive. All the while he’s just speaking almost exclusively in movie quotes, most notably when he sodomises one of the zombies with his shotgun and invites it to say hello to his little friend. Lot of sodomy in this flick.
I’d say this matches what I’ve come to expect from anthology movies, strong book ends with an indifferent middle. Wadzilla is a cheesy take on the old giant monsters and the zombie outbreak at the end is a bizarre spectacle. If you’re into those Troma type movies, this one is worth looking at.

Bethesda and Fallout 76 Opinion. Its long... sorry!
I will premise this as someone who has been a fan since Oblivion and will continue to be a fan of their games for ever because even at their worst the games are still quite enjoyable.
However.
I've been playing Fallout 76 since the BETA. While I actually do find the game enjoyable and some of mechanics work quite while. Specifically dropping nukes because not only is it fun but super rewarding to fight in a super irradiated zone against massive and difficult enemies.
The game as it hangs on a thread feels wrong and I can empathize with many of the other players who are unhappy. (I dont however condone review bombing if you dont play it or havent played it.) Its an incredible looking wasteland that is massive and feels amazing to explore but graphically it feel most of the time like it was designed in 2013. Which I can let slide because graphics arent the end all be all. But, often times I'll be doing nothing particularly interesting and my frame rate drops to like 5 or 0. Which isn't great for a AAA game. Especially in times when there are huge amounts of enemies spawning and you just sit on the same frame for what feels like 5min because it just can't keep up.
I will also emphasize the massive bugs. Most of which I've been able to avoid but some have been so game breaking I've just had to leave the game and try and return. For reference if you died while over-encumbered sometimes all the spawn locations would disappear. I also encountered a bug where a friend and I couldn't join each others team no matter how many times we tried and quit the game just wasnt having which as a multiplayer game isn't stellar. Then they released a patch most recently to solve issues and all it did was make more problems. It somehow caused a bug that if you had carrying capacity modifiers it would just delete 60-70lbs of carrying capacity for no reason, there is a fix but it's super annoying and super inconvenient when it happens and you dont know why.
Not to mention that on such a massive map that would be incredible any other time the lack of NPCs is truly bothersome. See the best part of Fallout games are the people and specifically your followers and friends. In FO4 Nick Valentine was my favorite companion to have and I found him truly fun to play with. And dont get me wrong having a real friend to play with is fun and enjoyable but missing the characters in the game takes away from the experience. I know everytime I read something or listen to a tape I know the person is dead and every quest requires me to "find someone" which is often boring is either dead and a robot which gets so old and really takes away from the experience. Also most other players suck. The PvP system is a good idea but in actual application it sucks.
I will end this part of my opinion by saying the stash system is garbage. I don't agree with people's opinion that 400lbs is enough, that "its a survival game" and it's how its supposed to be or "you just dont know how to manage your inventory properly". I will say these are stupid reasons 1) because if this is how survival was supposed to be I would want to keep everything i find not have to drop it because it's necessary, 2) I manage my inventory all the time I have limited guns, limited supplies and most everything bulked and it still is extremely difficult to manage. The fact that Bethesda is addressing the issue is good but it still made the game ridiculous and I hated it.
I will probably keep playing Fallout until something better for multiplayer comes out or I'll keeping playing because I enjoy the punishment of a bad game. I do hope that it gets better and I look forward to see what happens with game but until that time. If you dont like it after playing it thats totally fair, if you're intrigued and want to try I would say wait let the bugs settle, and finally if you really want to play it and enjoy a bad game with good elements that could be a great base then by all means pick it up.
I wont discuss Bethesda's strange approach to handling this game and it's terrible release 1.) Because I dont understand it, 2.) What they are doing makes no sense, 3.) I don't actually know if they are being malicious or even intentional in their actions. People speculate a lot about it but they know what they see or what they can assume, but dont work there or actually know what's happening inside, and when gamers are unhappy (i.e. no man's sky) they will say whatever they want. I will try and stay away from giving my opinion on Bethesda's business model because I dont know anything more than anyone else.
However, what I will talk about is my concern for future titles. Elder Scrolls 6, future Fallouts, and the new space game (who's name I forgot). If Bethesda remains on the exhausted creation engine I dont know if the future of their titles will ever live up to the massive success of Skyrim. Mainly because the graphics cant keep up with today's gaming market. In comparison to Fallout 76, Red Dead 2 and God of War are stunning and absolutely gorgeous. The creation engine cant keep up with what is expected today graphics wise. That will be a major concern as we move to next gen consoles in a few years. 2011 graphics will not look good in 4k on advanced gaming systems in 2021. Its time for Bethesda to let the creation engine go because all the bugs, frame rate drops, graphics, and basic fundamentals of their games will be severely diminished by the lack of power the engine has. I know its probably not going to happen but my hope is the backlash that comes from just how FO76 runs and looks will be enough for Bethesda to start over fresh and bring back the expectations they created way back in 2011.
Tl;dr- Fallout 76 has a massive and amazing map that is lost among the bugs and struggles of an old engine. The lack of NPCs takes away from the experience, however there is still fun to be had its possible. But, in the future Bethesda really needs to get a new engine for future titles, the creation engine is too old and exhausted.

CREATIVE CRITICAL REFLECTION
How does your product use or challenge conventions and how do they represent social groups or issues?
I challenged the convention of the thriller genre by not showing any violent scenes, and let the audience solve the enigma of the death of the male character by themselves. By doing this, I’d also include a plot twist as well as a surreal element to the story, which would keep the audience engaged up until the very end of the film.
This idea of surrrealism that we see in the murder scene also challenges the conventional thrillers where an obsessive and toxic relationship is the center of the plot, like for example Fatal Attraction or The Housemaid
A common convention of thriller films I did use was the music. Dark and ominous, it increased in pitch and loudness the closer the climaxing scene of the murder came. This increased the tension and made the audience nervous about what Loreley would do. Furthermore, the soft sad choir playing during the fighting scenes further connects the audience with the emotions Loreley’s feeling.
I wanted to represent a story about love between two young adults, and how people that age seem to rush or force a relationship because of society’s expectations of being settled once you reach an age. However, this new society also seems to normalize toxic relationships and abuse, and with this exaggerated plot I wanted to make a critic of just that.
How do your products engage with the audience?
My website contains character sheets and introductions so the audience can learn more about them and their story, deepening the plot too. By doing this, the viewers can get more information about them, and thus, analyse the story on a deeper level. These introductions don’t contain any spoilers so it also builds anticipation about how these seemingly opposite characters are going to interact with each other in the story.
The web also contains a page with information about the director (me). I believe this is essential to engage with your audience and hopefully end up constructing a cult following that will keep up with my works as I release more films. Furthermore, by mentioning that I’ve worked in shows like Euphoria, Money Heist and K12, I’m further relating to my target audience, since those shows also target the same demographic of people as my film does. They’ll believe my work will fit their taste immediately, and they won’t hesitate to start watching the film.
I have an instagram account for Loreley (before she was convicted), which can serve as further character development, as well as engage the audience with the main character. By choosing Instagram as her main platform I’m also effectively reaching my target audience in terms of promotion, since social media marketing has become so famous over the years. An example of similar instagram accounts may be the fictional characters from the show Skam or from the film After.
There’s a contact page in my website which allows the audience to connect with the company personally, allowing them to express any queries they have directly to the team. This way respect and credibility is given to the company.
How did your research inform your products and the way they use or challenge conventions?
During the research for my logo I came to the conclusion of what I wanted my target audience to be like. I studied the current trends in TikTok, Instagram and Pinterest mainly. There, I found out that animal videos were many of the viral posts in all of the social media platforms.
I realised that my target audience of teenagers and young adults tended to enjoy more niche, or in other words, less manufactured, more honest products. For example, the new trend of buying thrifted clothes; listening to a much wider variety of artists (that tend to be more alternative or underground, such as Cage the Elephant, Declan McKenna); or consuming more eco-friendly products (vegan or ethical hygiene products, reusable straws, phone cases or other products made from recycled materials). Therefore, I wanted to make sure that my brand had influence from the new trends and activist goals of today. This convention challenges traditional media, since I wanted my short film to contain a hidden message against toxic relationships and the expectations that have been dawned on women to be submissive and dependent on their boyfriend. Of course my short film challenges this view in a way, since I exaggerate it so that the main character kills the man, but it’s meant to show how much a woman’s mental health can decay from putting up with their partner’s problems. The clearest examples where we can see old views of women and submission being the popular theme in old films would be all of the old Disney Princess movies.
After analysing various short films I believe I acquired knowledge about continuity shots and angles that would fit better with the action to movement my character is making. Thus, the audience would feel as if they’re following Loreley around, and thus, understanding her side of the story better. This way, the audience feels surprised that she’d act the way she does in the ending scene, since they've built a deeper relation of trust with her instead of with the male character.
How do the elements of your production work together to create a sense of branding?
I make sure that my brand connects with the audience, so most of my work apart from my short film tends to include interactions with them, such as the many features in my webpage, or Loreley’s instagram, where the public can interact with her as if her character were real.
My website and my logo both follow the same color palette, therefore creating a sense of continuity and style. This way, everytime my audience sees elements like these outside of the company, such as in social media, they’ll be reminded of us.
There are many elements from niche companies, like the closeness to the audience which isn’t only seen in the webpage, but also on the instagram account and on the postcard, which features a simple mise-en-scene and not too extravagant editing.
The postcard doesn’t show Loreley’s face, meaning that she’s hiding or undercover. This creates a sense of branding since it follows the story, and the audience will be left with the enigma of why Loreley is back in the supermarket, hinting that there would maybe be a second part.

DD2000 - Route to Industry - Research pt.2 - industry experts that inspire me
In the last post, I talked about what role I wanted but more importantly why I wanted that. Not to mention certain role descriptions were found and I talked about how they applied to me. In this post I will be look at some key designers that have inspired me to work in this industry.

Cory Balrog
Cory is best known for his work on one of the most iconic games of all time, the God of War series which has just recently seen its latest and perhaps the most critically acclaimed entry released. Cory’s time in the industry was perhaps best summarized during his time with Santa Monica, the parent studio of God of War.
Cory originally started as the lead animator for the first God of War at Santa Monica. After which he was promoted to the creative/game director for God of War II. It was also the game that won him a BAFTA for his writing on the game. God of War is not the only title he is known for, but Mad Max as well which he worked on during his absence from the studio, not to mention he also directed the cutscenes for Tomb Raider Reboot. Both these games were subject to critical acclaim and were applauded for their sense of storytelling and direction.
What I really like about him
The best quality about Cory in my opinion is not only the fact that he is exceptionally creative but the fact that he doesn’t give up and fights for his ideas which people think will never work.

Take his work on the latest God of War and in contrast Tomb Raider for example. Originally, Cory pitched the idea of a one-shot gameplay to the team which would not cut or fade out, except when the players died.
The idea was promptly rejected, but Cory didn’t abandon it, as when he came back to work for Sony, he implemented that idea in God of War and it was universally applauded. Not to mention he fought for the changes that has made the latest God of War the best rated Meta-Critic game so far. It’s this willingness to not give up on his ideas that really makes me look up to him.

Rami Ismail
More commonly known as half of Vlambeer, the developer responsible for acclaimed games such as Luftrausers and Nuclear Throne, Rami Ismail has worked on various indie games that have been unique and different.
He was originally a games design student who dropped out from a games design course (more on that later) who went away with Jn Willem Nijman to go and create Super Crate Box.
What I really like about him
Firstly, he stands up for what he believes in. The main reason he left the course at his university was because they were demanding the rights to the game he was working on, which understandably rubbed Rami the wrong way, and he took a stand to leave and start his own group with his friend.
He also usually stays away from giving out offers on their game as he believes that the value they set for it is what they deserve, showcasing the belief in their product. This is different compared to most other indie developers who jump on the chance to discount their game in order to get a temporary boost in sales.

He really does a lot for the indie developers, and has even created tools like the dopresskit which has been set up to help indie developers lighten the responsibilities of marketing and creating press releases, allowing them to better focus on their games. In fact he has even received the GDC Ambassador Award for his outstanding contribution to indie developers.
Lastly, Rami’s a Muslim which is such a different thing compared to most other developers on this list. It resonates with me, as I have had an upbringing in a Muslim culture, where anything related to the entertainment media is frowned upon and it gives me inspiration.
Neil Druckman

I think not much of an introduction is needed when you recount the fact that Neil Druckman wrote the story to what is arguably called the best game The Last of Us completely by himself. Oh and he co wrote Uncharted 4 with Josh Scherr. In fact, any of the instant classic you can think of from Naughty Dog, such as Jak and Daxter, Uncharted, lost legacy, you can be sure Neil was one of the people behind the steering wheel.
His history is just as diverse as his portfolio having started as a programming intern, before being promoted to a full time position as a gameplay programmer a few months later.
What I really like about him

People were insistent on him not becoming a designer. As mentioned above, Druckmann started as a programmer, and the co-president of Naughty Dog, Evan Wells at that time rejected his demands to become a designer everytime Druckmann asked. He finally caved in but only if he completed his design work after his working hours. Of course, Druckmann more than proved himself after Jak X, being put into the role of a game designer for Uncharted: Drake’s fortune.
This just showed the commitment from Neil, and how much he fought for what he wanted to do. Just like the other developers on this list he showcases that hardwork and perseverance can get you results, so not to give up.
Furthermore, it’s the way he focuses on complex characters but simple story that brings home a driving point as to why people love his characters and ultimately games a lot.
Jade Raymond

Jade Raymond has had a diverse portfolio, where she started working as a programmer but quickly due to her talent, hardwork and skill became a producer. In fact she was the creative charge for one of the biggest franchise Assassin’s Creed, helping it’s inception.
After this she worked on games like Assassin’s creed II, Splinter Cell Blacklist and most importantly Watch Dogs. Now, I completely understand that Watch Dogs wasn’t a huge critical success, but it still stands as one of the most intricate games in recent history with some of the best tech behind it.
What I really like about her
Not only is she known for some of the biggest IP, but they were all at one point brand new ones, that Jade Raymond managed to get shipped and finished. As you know, a lot of companies find it risky to create new IPs, preferring to work on sequels to games that have been a proven hit.
Also with every interview I have seen of her, she is always confident about what she does. You can see from this why she has been so successful, not only due to her proactiveness but also her confidence. She is a good inspiration for how to present yourself as well as come off.

 She also always speaks about how much the game industry needs to take care of its creative individuals, and at the BAFTA Games Lecture 2015, where she was the first woman to give a lecture she talked about this in depth and how the industry was letting down its strongest asset. This was another one of her fantastic producer qualities shining through in my opinion, again bolstering why she is where she is.
I can go days and days talking about different creative directors, designers and producers, however for now I will pick these three, as they all resonate with me.
Cory’s experience tells me not to give up, and believe in my best ideas in order to make them work. 
 Rami comes from a similar culture, where he has had to fight again adversity and stand up for himself and other developers
Druckmann focuses on characters just as much as me, since I too like pitching characters first story later.
Lastly Raymond is a stellar example onto how you should be thinking about the industry in order for you to not only thrive but the creative talent you come across as well.
For me it was important that I looked at a diverse selection of people, as my characters and games are really different and break the standard western tropes. My characters are different, they are human and not your regular american heroes. They struggle and they will show you things that a lot of people struggle with. In order to do justice with that, I will have to learn from Cory’s experience and not give up. I have to look at how Rami helps not only himself but fellow developers. I need to study the work of Druckmann as he like me focuses on characters and lastly I have to be as confident and driven as Raymond if I am to succeed in this industry.

Brussels Comic Con 2018 held at Tour & Taxis in Brussels, Belgium was a successful event of the year. Although we are just starting this year’s first event. There are definitely more conventions that are approaching.
For the one day tour in Brussels Comic Con 2018, as I’ve mentioned from the earlier post. By that time being that I was there, Atom Stage was presenting the Cosplay Competition.
Brussels Comic Con 2018
The first day was intense, with all the people roaming around and the cosplayers too. For this specific event, there were actually more and more cosplayers around.
I mean people or visitors can dress as they would like to. But it doesn’t necessarily mean that they are officially a Cosplayer. I have seen a bunch of these people around, some of their works are pretty impressive and eye-catching.
As a veteran of cosplayer presentations, I would say there was some novice/beginners cosplayer around. There were some intermediate works that were greatly done and there were those who surpasses my expectations.
In summary, I will show you those cosplayers that I think who stand out from the crowd and those who’ve I’ve bumped with. Lastly, I would say a huge “Thank You” to the Cosplayers for their stunning works and patience during the event.
The Eye Catchers 
First up is these gals who were just right after the entrance area. As we’ve entered the place I’m astounded to see people gathering together to take pictures of these two. I’m sure you are familiar with these two special characters. Who wouldn’t be?
The one from the left side is Jawas character and the one beside him is one of the favorite characters of all time in Star Wars films. No other than Chewbacca! These two just pulled it off! they cosplay work are just amazing!
Sheriff Woody
Just right after Jawas and Chewbacca, the next cosplayer that stands out from the public is Sheriff Woody. I saw him soaring, trying to position his body on at the wall.
A photographer asked this cosplayer to pose at that specific space. That was really courageous of him doing that favor for a photo. I was right beside the other photographer and grab that chance to take some shots of him.
If I was the photographer with him, I wouldn’t risk asking the cosplayer to pose up there because it might turn into a catastrophe.
Belle and the Beast
The Beauty and the Beast were the third ones who captured many audiences. Not just audience but photographers as well. On our way to see the geek markets, there was a quick commotion in the middle of the area.
As I approach, I saw some photographers taking photos of this lovely couple. They were so adorable to look at, especially when Belle looks at the Beast. It reminds me of the recent movie Beauty and the Beast with Emma Watson as Belle that I’ve watched.
Sabé
Wandering around the area, I have seen this eye-catching red dress from afar. I know there’s something special out there that I must find out. In the end, I have truly found her and Wow! This pretty lady has just made a big upgrade to Sabé’s image.
You’d stop by for a while and be awed of her cosplay work. That headgear though it looks like super heavy. What a sensational work!
Jack Sparrow 
Mr. Jack Sparrow is in town, he just captured my heart. Honestly one of the best and close to the image of the character. He is just perfection! Even his actions though It gives you that impression that you are with the real Jack.
It’s so captivating to see cosplayers like him who give so much effort to move and act like the real character. I wonder if he’s a she or a he, who knows there’s a lot of cosplayers out there who do “Genderbending”
Movie Characters
From the other side of the halls, somewhere in the Dealers Labyrinth, I’ve bumped into this amazing cosplayer. At first, I’m confused about her character cause her face reminds me of Bellatrix Lestrange from Harry Potter. 
But the moment came when I saw her hands, I know its Edward Scissorhands from one of Johnny Depp’s films. Her makeup is precisely done, and the scars all over the face. Johnny Depp will surely be happy to see this one!
The Ant-Man
Moving to the next movie character is the well-known Movie way back 2015. Do you still recognize him? he is Marvel’s Ant-Man. One of my favorite Marvel movies, Paul Rudd was the perfect actor for this character. I hope they will release a new film soon.
Power Ranger
Power Ranger Green was also there at the event. Well, there were a lot of the same costumes, I saw 3 of them and I gently ask one for a photo. Since Jason David Frank was there, I was expecting many will come with Power Ranger suit and Yes! they were there not only 3 but more.
Guardians of the Galaxy
Who wouldn’t recognize him, Drax the Destroyer from Guardians of the Galaxy 1 & 2. I just love his character especially the second part where he met Mantis.
Ego, Star-Lord’s Father from the Guardians of the Galaxy 2. Delightful cosplay works from these two characters. You can say that they play their roles as the guardians in this event Brussels Comic Con 2018.
Thor
Loki, the brother of Thor from the movie Thor. Nice suit and pose for this guy! I bumped at him in this isolated area at the restaurant. Glad to have him solo this time.
The Duo’s
Here we have Leia Organa and Anakin Skywalker from one of the famous movie of all time Star Wars. 
The couple Spiderman and Spidergirl. 
Batman and Batwoman. 
It is noticeable that there were a couple of cosplayers and duo’s who came together to present their works at Comic Con Brussels 2018. Which duo’s do you think stood out the most?
Sincerely, these cosplayers are admirable! my favorite? I think all of them were super cool to look at. In terms of poses during shots, I would say the Spidy team.
Comic Con Brussels 2018 Pre-Catwalk
Getting around the geek markets, suddenly there was a call-up to all cosplayers for the Catwalk Parade. We were adoring a souvenir piece (Going Merry ship from One Piece) from a booth at that time.
So we decided to take a look at the cosplayer that will participate in this parade on stage. We have seen a bunch of Cosplayers having fun before the program they were even dancing on the stage.
I went to this group of cosplayers bubbling with each other and gently ask for some photos of them. They were so kind to give my request, out of the three cosplayers only Mr. Iron Man gave his business card to me.
Well, I presume that the rest of the group aren’t official cosplayers yet. If you wanna see more of Iron Man’s work you can check him out in his Facebook account Aegidius Designs.
After those taking pictures of those three cosplayers, my hubby told me that there’s a Mccree Cosplayer just behind them. As you know we are a big fan of Overwatch Cosplayers.
Seeing one of them here in Brussels Comic Con 2018 is the happiest feeling.
Mccree was the first Overwatch Cosplayer that we met here. I wonder if where are the others, I haven’t seen any other Overwatch characters yet.
My Favorite Cosplayers
From the Atom Stage where Cosplay Competition held. I’ve seen this Crusader Cosplayer from Diablo. She was sublime, her costume was really nice and she looks fabulously beautiful.
Finally, another Overwatch Cosplayer. What makes it more special? it’s Zenyatta my favorite character (my main). I do play overwatch online and him? I do play him a lot of times.
Besides, Zenyatta is not very easy to create in terms of costumes. I remember last year in Made in Asia or F.A.C.T.S. no one did this cosplay yet. That’s why I’m super contented to see one at Brussels Comic Con 2018.
