Raise Hell (L.H.)

a/n: this is based off of the ROCKISDEAD album by Dorothy, which is an absolute banger and I 100% recommend dropping a listen while you’re reading this (or at least the songs in the story at their parts), but I haven't written for Luke and ya know, gotta show the babe some love.

Warnings: this contains mature themes, but is still like rated PG or PG-13 at the WORST

You were feeling yourself tonight.

Like, feeling feeling. Curled hair, liner sharp enough to cut someone, big hoop energy feeling yourself.

And god, were you ready to party.

The boys had a concert tonight, one you’d finally get to go to since it was both in L.A. and on a night you weren’t working. So there you were, doing shots and sipping whiskey, letting the alcohol flood your veins before the show.

It was right after shot number four when you decided tonight was the night to tell Luke you loved him. Should be easy enough. Just three words. Eight letters.

And a shit ton of butterflies.

But hey, you really only lived once, and what was the point if you didn’t live to the fullest?

So you went for it. Dancing and screaming and just going as hard as you could during the concert, never taking your eyes off of Luke once.

He returned the favor. Maybe he couldn’t admit it to anyone but himself, but you did things to him. Watching your luscious red lips screaming his name, god, it made him shiver thinking about what else he could make them say. Or what else they could do. You, in a leather jacket and fishnets under black ripped jeans.

Or you in nothing.

Luke swallowed, shaking away those thoughts. This was not the headspace he needed to be in before the concert.

That didn't mean he could take his eyes off of you, however.

So it was no wonder that he immediately gravitated towards you once the concert was over.

“Luke, darling. I’ve been looking for you.” You almost laughed at yourself. You had never called him darling before, but apparently, you were feeling as bold as you looked.

“I could say the same to you.” He grinned, and you could see the faint scar that his old lip piercing had left.

“What do you say we get out of here? Maybe take a ride somewhere?” Somewhere private, somewhere you could tell him what you’ve been wanting to get off your chest.

“Oh, you had me at ‘we’,” He already had your hand, pulling you out the door.

As soon as the crisp air hit your lungs, you started running dragging him along to your car, a 1969 mustang fast back. Cherry red, just like your lipstick. Your baby.

The entire ride was full of stolen glances and hungry smiles, Kiss it by Dorothy blaring the entire drive, the speedometer never dipping below 70 mph.

Finally, you arrived at your destination. The top of a cliff overlooking almost all of L.A. Here was where you’d finally confess your love.

Then you took one look at Luke’s beautiful, angelic face and that went out the window.

You threw your right leg over the center console, landing in Luke’s lap, your arms around his neck and your legs around his waist, facing him.

Kiss It was still blaring in the background as you began making out, almost hungrily.

“You know I love you, right?” Luke breathlessly whispered in you ear while you were busy kissing his neck.

“I think I got that.” You grinned up at him, laughing a little at you red lipstick smeared on his lips. “But, I hope its clear that I feel the same.”

Deaths Angel || Part One

Biker!Bucky x reader

Inspired by Ride with Me by @writemarvelousthings . Thank you for all the help and support you have given me in writing this story

Plot : when Y/N returns to New York from Los Angles with the troubling news of her fathers passing, she finds out more than she could’ve bargained for. Follow Y/N as she gusts down her best friends killers whilst navigating through gangs, romances and friendships.

Warnings : Mentions of Death, Hospices, loss of loved ones

Walking through the grey and plain corridor of my fathers haospice was harder to imagine. Last time I was here this place was full of his new friends and there family’s, all having as much fun as they could before the end.

I walk into my fathers room and I see it filled with our family photos and all he held dear to him. I place down the card board boxes I have in my hands and I start pulling his many books of off one of six large book cases he ha.. had built in this room.

I just keep moving the books from the bookcase into the boxes and soon I have emptied 3 bookcases and filled about 20 boxes.

“You don’t have to do this alone you know” I hear a voice say from behind me and I know who it is immediately

“Peter, if I don’t who is? I can ask May to do it and I refuse to make any of the nurses or doctors here do it, they have enough to do” I say turning to my little cousin on my mothers side

“At least take a break then, come for a walk down the street with me, I need a coffee” he says which I find extremely weird, considering he doesn’t drink coffee

“You don’t drink coffee” I say as a statement

“Then I’ll get a hot chocolate and you can have coffee” He says pulling me out of my dads old bedroom

“So what was it like in Los Angles?”Peter asks trying to make some sort of conversation

“It was .... different to say the least, but it wasn’t New York. This place has a calming feeling y’know?” I say to him and he nods

“Well I’ve missed you around here, me and Ned haven’t had anyone that can help us with our homework, especially English” He says and I laugh

“Your smart enough, I’m sure you can write and essay without my help” I say and he shakes his head

“My grade average in English had called to a C-“ he says and I look at him

“Great, tou relise this means we’re gonna have a long chat about true right use of grammar and punctuation” I say

“Ohhhh sounds fun” Peter says opening the door to the coffee shop for me

“So, hows May?” I ask peter

“She’s good, she’s actually been on a few dates with this guy, he seems to really like her, and with everything she went through with uncle Ben she really needs it” he says and I smile softly thinking about my aunt, who is more of a sister than anything

We walk up to the counter and order our drinks whilst making small talk about his school work.

Once we get our drink Peter convinces me to sit down and have a chat before we head back. As we are talking I zone out and think about my dad. How can he not be here anymore, I was talking to him two days ago when I told him I was flying home.

“N... Y/N. Hey you okay?” Peter asks gaining me attention

“Yeah sorry I was think bout stuff” I say and he gives me a sad smile

“Anyway, I want to know what’s happened around here, anything and everything” I say to Peter

“Well, not a lots happened that you don’t know about, me and MJ are still together, Ned is still completely in love with Betty and vice versa” he says and I smile remembering how I love he and MJ are, is so sweet.

“Tell me about this guy Aunt Mays dating” I say and he forms a small smile

“He’s really nice, everyone calls him happy cause he used to be the moodiest person ever until he met may, she’s so enamoured with him and he her. He cares Y/N, he really cares. She’s told him about you, he said he’d love to meet you one day” Peter says and I can tell by the way he’s talking about this Happy guy that he approves, which is all I need.

“We should be getting back Peter, I still need to finish packing up my dads room” I say and he nods and we walk out of the café.

As we are walking back he gets a phone call and I tune out to give him some privacy. I start thinking about everything and I can help but smile at everything Peters told me, it seems like May and Peter are doing okay and that’s what matters, no matter what I will always put those I know as family first, always.

As we get back to the hospice I see the truck I rented to move all of dads stuff into storage is still here thankfully but I also notice two black SUV’s outside and I wonder what it is, who it is.

“Y/N” I hear my name shouted and I turn around to see may jogging my way

“Aunt May!” I say hugging her

“You saying Aunt makes me feel old, were barely 8 years apart in age” she says making me laugh

“I want you to meet someone” she says to me and we turn back towards the hospice and I see my dads best friend, Nick, and a guy in a suit, who I presume must be happy.

“ Y/N this is Happy, Happy this is Y/N” May says and I go to shake the mans hand

“It’s so nice to meet you, Peters told me a lot” I say to him

“They never stop mentioning you” He says making me laugh

“Let me tell you, you ever hurt her and I swear to god, you’ll wish all you had to deal with was Peter and Nick, cause I will ruin your life you got it” I say turning serious

“I don’t plan on ever hurting her” he say and I nod

“Y/N!” May shouts making me laugh and then I turn to Nick and hug him

“Hey swan” He says the old nickname and I laugh

“How you doing old man?” I say back to him and he laughs louder

“I’m good, how are you” He says

“I’m coping” he says nodding

“What are you guys doing here anyway?” I say and I see Peter look away

“We where finishing packing up your dads room” May say

“I was gonna do it you didn’t have to” I say to them

“We wanted to, me and happy are going to take all the stuff to storage, nicks going to drive you to your new apartment, no objections. He’s got some stuff that we thought you’d want” May says to me giving me a stern look and I nod, knowing there’s no fighting her

“Let’s go” Nick says to me as we walk back to the car, I get in the passenger seat whilst Peter gets in the back.

As we arrive at my new apartment building I get out of the car and grab one of the three boxes in the back, leaving one for Nick and one for Peter.

We walk inside and get in the elevator going up to my floor. As we are heading up I think about the last time I talked to my dad. He told me he had to tell me something and that we’d meet up when I got of my plane. Instead of getting a call from him Of where we should meet, I got a call from his nurse, Peggy, who told me he had passed in the night.

Once we arrive on my floor we walk to my apartment and I open the door and walk to the living room, I place the box down and take my jacket off.

“Nice Place Y/N.” Peter day putting his box down

“Thanks Pete, I’m going to get changed and then maybe we can head to the den?” I ask and Peter nods

“I can’t tonight kid, but you have your car here right?” Nick says and I smile and nod

“Yeah old man I have my new age car here, guess what, it can go more than 50 mph as well, what a time we live in!” I saysarcastically making him laugh

“Okay kid, I gotta go, I’ve missed you around here you know” he says giving me a goodbye hug.

“Bye nick” I say as he goes to the door

“Bye Kid” He says

“Let me get changed and we’ll head down to the Den, yeah?” I ask peter

“Sure, I’m going to raid your fridge first though” he says and I laugh

I walk into my bedroom and. Walk to my closet, opening it and grabbing what I think will be good to wear, keeping the outfit as dark as possible

As I walk back into the living room I see Peter sitting there eating a bag of chips.

“Ready to go?” I ask and he looks up at me

“If we weren’t related ...” he says and I smack him in the back of the head

“What was that for?” He shouts

“Never talk about a woman like that, your lucky I don’t tell MJ.... yet” I say leaving the apartment with him in a tow, and locking the door. We get in the elevator and go down to the parking lot level and walk towards my car.

“Y/N is that a 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 302?” Peter asks and I am surprised, never knowing he was into cars

“Uhh yea, a friend gave it to me” I say getting in

“good friend” Peter says as we take to for the Den and within 10 minutes we’re parked in front.

As we walk in I notice some familiar faces and say high to them on the way by before meeting May at the Bar.

“Damn girl, look at you!” She shouts making me do a twirl

“Why thank ya” I saw with a slight southern drawl

“ what you doing here anyway?” May asks

“I thought I’d come in and help, I had nothing to do anyway” I say and she smiles

“Perfect timing cause my bartender just called and she can’t make it and I don’t want to call Wanda in cause it’s her night off, she might be here but I want her to spend time on the other side of the bar” May says and I laugh

I walk behind the bar and take my leather jacket and scarf of before putting my hair up, and for some reason I can’t help but shake the feeling that someone’s watching me.

I start my shift and it’s pretty easy till Peter tries to sneak past me and I look to where he’s looking and I see a group of peopl watching him , so I pretend I don’t notice him going into the storage room, and I grab my phone sending him a text.

I hope you know your not that sneaky, Parker.

I laugh when he comes out trying to act natural with a bottle of whiskey, I notice it’s not a really expensive bottle so I let him take it, knowing t that he wouldn’t dare drink in Mays bar.

I watch him walk to his friends and one of them scruffles his hair and says something to him, and that’s when I see May walking up behind the man holding the bottle but before she does anything I make eye contact with her and mouth the words ‘let em have it’ and she nods

“You give it to them?” She asks when she get back to the bar

“Peter” I say and she looks at me

“Why’d you let em have it?” She asks

“Figured you knew them, there comfortable in here meaning they know you’d put up with them” I say and she laughs

“There regulars, I think you’d like them” she says walking into the kitchen to grab the food that a table was waiting on and when I looked up I made eye contact with one of them.

He had dark hair and the most beautiful blue eyes, and the nicest smile. Blue eyes that I could dream about all night

Sasuke walked down the stairs of the building to go to his next class; he was wearing his earphones, so he couldn’t hear the cry Karin sent him while she tried to reach him. When she did, she punched him on the back, getting an annoyed growl at her.

“I’ve been screaming your name for five minutes, you dumbass!” She scolded him as he took his earphones off.

“What do you want?”

“Have you checked the group chat in the last two hours?” He raised his eyebrow at her question. She shook her head and continued. “Anyways, Ino and Sakura are fighting and neither of them wants to listen to any of us. I don’t think they’ll make-up for tonight’s party.”

“Why?” Sasuke didn’t like when they fought, for they were so dramatic and always made a huge deal about everything. Did they really have to fight on Juugo’s birthday?

“Ino brought him up.” The red-haired girl simply said.

“I’ll talk to Sakura.” He told her and started walking. He didn’t want to go to Professor Sarutobi’s lecture anyways. He looked for her name in his contacts, frowning when he remembered that she had changed her own name on his phone.

Dark boi: ‘Hey, where are you?’

Pinky baby: ‘car.’

He jogged to the parking lot, not minding the incessant buzzing of his phone in his pants—it was probably Naruto or the group chat. When he found the black 1969 Boss Mustang, and the crying girl inside of it, he walked toward the spot, glad he had found it before he had a heatstroke. Most people would say that she was a dumb girl with a really nice car; however, she was the smartest med student, and that car was her baby. She knew everything about that machine, and she made sure that everyone knew to not mess up with them.

Sasuke jumped into the car, cursing mentally when Leona Lewis started to sound loudly.

“I keep bleeding, I keep, keep bleeding love…” the pinkette was singing as well, and if she weren’t crying, she would’ve sounded amazing.

Sasuke knew better than to interrupt her, so he just took off his backpack and tossed it to the backseat. She kept singing and tapping her fingers against the steering wheel, tears kept coming out of her eyes and her cheeks were as red as her dress; he was glad she had the A/C on. If the weather outside was awful, he wouldn’t like to imagine the heat when they were surrounded by those leather seats.

“I’m staying at your place tonight,” she said while she turned the volume down. “I won’t attend a party knowing that she’s going to be there.”

“Not even for Juugo?” He asked.

She bit her lip, hesitant at his question. “I don’t know, she was really mean.”

“You brought up the Genma thing last time,” he reminded her softly, his arms open for her to rest on his chest. She did so, grabbing a tissue and cleaning her nose.

The pink-haired girl had been on a relationship with one of the guys in the football team back in high school, and it had been a complete disaster. She was left heartbroken and empty, yet renovated and wiser.

“I know, I apologized. She didn’t have to do it too.”

“You’re both the same, it was obvious she was going to do it.” Sasuke patted her back and rested his head on hers.

Sasuke and Sakura were best friends, and they knew each other better than anyone. If someone had to tell the other that they were wrong or made a mistake, it had to be one another. They’d been friends since elementary school, since they lived in the same neighborhood. Sasuke’s mother, Mikoto, always invited Sakura and her mom to have lunch or play dates for the kids; the pinkette had grown to love Itachi as an older brother as well, along with Shisui—even though since she turned 17, he liked to flirt and tease her a lot. Naruto joined them in middle school, and the three of them had been inseparable ever since. They used to go and train karate at Kakashi’s, who was friends with Shisui and Itachi—that’s how Team 7 was created. As they grew up, Karin, Ino, Suigetsu, Shikamaru and the rest joined them as a group, but they kept hanging out as the little family they were.

“Do you think I should talk to her first?” She wondered while she inhaled the masculine scent of his body; it made her feel like home.

“I think you should calm down for a minute.” He replied.

The stayed there for a while, Sasuke made sure they were listening to songs she loved; he closed his eyes and kept rubbing her back just the way she liked it.

Not so much time later, a tap on the window knocked them out of their little bubble of peace. Sakura sat back on her seat and brushed off the mascara around her eyes. Ino was there with swollen eyes and bruised lips—probably from biting them. The pinkette looked at her and opened the car door.

“Can we talk?” Asked the blonde with harsh voice. Sakura nodded in response and got out of the car.

They started talking, and Sasuke looked at them while they did so. He wondered if he looked like that with Naruto, for they always had arguments too. He wandered for a moment, until the girls embraced themselves in a tight hug while they laughed soundly. He smirked and texted Karin that the problem was solved, and they were definitely attending.

When he looked back at them again, Sakura slapped Ino’s arm and blushed profusely; the blond laughed and threw a glance at him, then a wink and a smirk. He frowned, confused. The girls said their goodbyes and Sakura got into the car again.

“We’ll go to grab some lunch.” She stated and started the engine.

He didn’t complain.

Naruto snorted when he heard Shikamaru and the squad’s bet.

“What makes you think I’ll say yes to that?” The Uzumaki asked, an eyebrow raised and arms crossed.

“Because if you win, we’ll pay one month of ramen at Ichiraku’s.” Shikamaru answered with a smirk.

Naruto swallowed hard. What could possibly go wrong anyways? He just had to make their best friends kiss and he would win the bet. Naruto was really aware of their feelings for each other—everyone, actually. The only ones who didn’t were themselves. He still hesitated, he didn’t want to mess things up between them, for he knew how stubborn they were.

“You have a month, and don’t worry, we’ll know if something happens.” Sai added with a mischievous look.

“I really think this is dumb, they’ve been in love since they were in diapers,” Karin snorted. “How do you expect this idiot to bring them together in such a short time?”

“You don’t know what he’s capable of.” Suigetsu laughed.

“They just need a little push.” Neji nodded. “I’m in.”

“Guys, I’m not sure,” Naruto sighed. “They’re my best friends…”

“I’ll help you.”

Ino’s voice came from behind him and she took a seat next to him; she was grinning and locked her left arm with Naruto’s right.

“Why?” Juugo asked her. She tried to not pay attention to how cute he looked with a birthday hat.

“I want my best friend to be with the man she loves,” she replied, sure of herself. “Also, I happen to love him as my little bro as well, so I think they should be together. Just like Neji said, they need a little push.”

No one could deny that she was right. Not even Naruto. He sighed one last time and bit his lip; he was still having a battle with himself about the pros and cons.

“Two months.” Choji’s voice interrupted his thoughts.

“Deal.”

The Devotion of Light and the Allure of Darkness

Normally I would not post chapters on here but I want to try and reach more of you guys with this story. I will put the links to the rest of it at the bottom. I hope you all enjoy this! :)

Chapter 1: Men and Monsters

When we are children our parents teach us right from wrong. Or they are meant to anyway. In the end, children often see the world in black and white... Good and Evil, Men and Monsters. But, as we grow older we start to learn that there is much more to the world. That sometimes, something that we were raised to believe, was not as set in stone as we first thought, we learn that life is fluid. The balance is ever changing, yet man always tries to change the scales with talk of light as they add a coin to the dark. But then again, life is an ever changing balance...

It was just my luck that I had the worst taste in men. And I'm not just talking about the typical bad boys who are good for nothing and like to push me around, though I have had a lot of those in my life. No, I had also dated guys who were wonderful and sweet who did everything to make me happy, but they always seemed to love me more than I did them. However, I guess that's not so much bad taste as bad judgement. Whatever it is though, I never thought that it would lead me here.

Here, being the middle of nowhere Ohio, in a downpour of bitterly cold rain... Again, just my luck.

You see everything had started out good, maybe too good, I had found a guy that seemed to be the perfect mix of bad boy and good. His name was Zane Porter. He was a rather good looking guy who had forest green eyes that always shined with some kind of mischief. He was a lawyer, one of those guys that with one look you would think that he was born in a suit. But something most wouldn't know was that he was in to fast cars and had a 1969 Boss 429 Mustang. It was an electric blue with black leather seats that were a soft and buttery.

Man, I loved that car... But, not anymore. I think if I ever saw that car again I may be sick.

Here, running from that car... From that man, no, not man, monster. Someday I would look back on my definition of a monster and he would still be at the top of the list... But today, I was running, the bitterly cold rain doing little for my bruised and aching body. No, the only thing it did was cover the tears as I cried.

I knew he would follow me. After all, I got away, but for how long? If I didn't find some help soon I knew he would get me, and this time I would never get away from him. I can't tell you how, I just felt it deep in my bones. As a rather angry bolt of lighting struck the sky, lighting my dark world for a moment, that was all I needed to see a man and women up ahead of me at what must have been a crossroad. Why anyone was standing out in the middle of all this I don't know and I can tell you I didn't care.

I pushed my body just a little harder praying not for the first time that night, though this time it was that I was not seeing things, and that whoever I was seeing would help me.

I had been so lost in my head that I ran right into the rather attractive brunet. I have no idea how I didn't take us both down but maybe she was just stronger then she looked. Or I was weaker.

"What the fuck!" The women cussed trying to pry my hands from her shirt.

"Please, you have to help me!" I begged not letting go of the women; I feared if I did my knees would give out.

The women look a mix of confused and uncaring as she said to me, "You'll have to get in line, sweetheart. I already have one paying customer and you ain't it."

I had no idea what she meant even as she and I both looked over at the man who seemed to have no idea what to do with our exchange. In the time I was looking away, the women was able to remove my hands from her, dropping them and watching with a raised brow as I dropped to the soft muddy ground. Stepping over me and asking the man if they had a deal.

"But you have to help me! He's going to find me again I just know it!" I begged looking between the man and women.

I continued to beg as I did my best to pull myself up even going so far as to grab the man's leg when he looked down at me. The women sent me a dirty look.

"Stop distracting my client!" She hissed at me, before turning back and asking once again if they had a deal.

The man took one last look at me and then looked at the women, calling her a demon, giving her a yes. In a moment so quick you would think it never happened she kissed him.

"See you in ten years, Doll." She smirked and snapped her fingers and the man was gone.

Just gone, poof like some kind of magicians magic act. Except there were no trap doors, no smoke or mirrors, he was just gone like he had never been there at all. Just as I was trying to make some sense of what I just saw, the women or demon turned to me with a bored look.

"Now I wish I could help you, Doll, but you didn't summon me. And well demon or not, it's the rules, maybe next time though." She straightened up looking for all the world like she would disappear just like she had made the man.

"Please..." I wimpred one last time looking up at the women.

"Now what's all this?" An accented man's voice sounded from behind me.

Both myself and the Demon women looked at the man who had just appeared out of nowhere. The man, who I guess was a Demon too, and oh God I must have lost my mind, Demons... But, I guess at this point that's better then Zane getting his hand on me again. I shivered at the thought. The Demon was dressed in an expensive dark blue suit with a matching overcoat, and if I had been in my right mind, I would have said he was rather hot. He had a bit of a beard and a mustache, but unlike most men it fit him, he also had a full head of dark hair that was plasted to his head.

Racing Hearts

This one goes to two wonderful women, who happen to be besties; @waywardjoy and @whispersandwhiskerburn. Apologies to Joy for taking SO long with this and not really obeying her rules. This is for her ‘Ships Challenge’, although it’s not what I promised and not technically playing fair ... Dean x? Reader This was my quote, but I’ve made an adjustment: “You’re going to get us both killed.” / “Yeah, but what a way to go.” AND For Angel, Happy Early Birthday, darling. Hope you don’t mind this one posting today.

Fic FYI’s: Not beta’d, reckless driving... Dean races a 1969 Mach 1 Ford Mustang and is surprised by the outcome!

It was late evening and Dean was pulling out of the motel lot as an ink blue, 1969, mach 1, ford mustang, sped past, almost clipping Baby’s front, the headlights flashing bright in the reflection on its side. Dean slammed on the brakes and ground his teeth, nostrils flaring, eyes narrowing. He decided to show that twit, fast. He and Baby would give that dickbag a run for his money. Dean pulled out of the lot and Baby roared as they sped after the ‘stang.

Pulling up next to it at the red light, the hunter, turned drag racer, glared across at the revving machine. The windows were tinted darker than legal, leaving Dean to assume the dude behind the wheel saw his challenge. Dean revved Baby and gave her dashboard a loving pat. “Show him whatcha got, darlin’.” Dean encouraged, letting the clutch out as soon as the light flicked green. Both cars raced off, the streetlights like a strobe against the waxed roofs as they raced for pole position. As they flew towards the end of town the road narrowed into single lanes, the streetlights ended and a bend around farm hedges was nearing. And of course, the corner was being lit by oncoming beams, the light growing brighter the closer the got. Dean glanced across at the mustang but only saw his reflection, he pushed his foot further into the accelerator, the mach’s nose falling just short of Dean’s. And as the Winchester thought he was ahead, the 1969 Ford jerked the wheel and and swerved towards him. Dean pulled at his own wheel, forcing the impala into the left lane as the truck came around the corner. Baby’s tires burnt their rubber as she broke hard, a squeal of protestation as she pulled back in behind the machine that had overtaken him and disappeared around the corner. The loud horn of the truck still ringing in Dean’s ears as he went round himself. Dean followed the Mustang onto a dirt track, slowing to a stop just off to the side. He was out of Baby as soon as he could be, storming towards the drivers side. “What the hell’s your-” Dean froze, his words stopping like their faucet had been turned tight. The driver of the other car stepped out and flicked her hair over her shoulder, her eyes glinting under the spotlight Baby was creating. The small smirk matched the arch of her brow and the spark in her YEC eyes. “You were saying?” She challenged, folding her arms across her chest. Dean cleared his throat and closed his gaping mouth, throwing his arm behind him and pointing in the direction of the corner they’d just rounded. Just. “You could’ve got us killed.” Dean blurted. “Yeah, but what a way to go!” She dropped her hands and turned back to her open door, one leg in the well of the front seat. “Hey,” Dean called, he couldn’t let this girl drive off into the proverbial sunset without first knowing her name. She turned her head, holding herself steady between the door and the roof. “What’s your name?” “I’ll tell you mine if you tell me yours.” She wagged an eyebrow at him, Dean was sure he was in love, right then and there. “James Hetfield.” He lied, proving to himself his brain was still running the show, not a different organ. “And I’m Joan Jett.” She countered. Dean had to hold back the propostion of marriage that was about to fly from his mouth. “Dean Winchester.” He took a step towards her and she smile, looking him up and down. “YFN YLN.” She turned back and lowered herself into the seat of her mustang and closed the door. She turned the key and flipped the engine, bringing her beast to life. YN looked to the rear view mirror, surprised when Dean wasn’t there. The knock on the window startled her, but Dean wouldn’t have known as the tint was dark enough to keep many secrets. And it had. She rolled the window down and looked up into the green eyes that seemed to be twinkling in the headlights of the Impala. “Yeah?” She questioned, leaning her elbow out the window, her wrist resting on the wheel. “Will I see you around?” Dean was aware that he sounded like a teenage boy pining after the older girl next door, but he didn’t care, he’d never met anyone like YN before. She winked and reversed dangerously fast, narrowly missing Baby in the process. The bonnet of her car swung out and lined up perfectly with the road. “Maybe!” She called before taking off the way they’d been headed, leaving Dean and his lovesick stare in the dust. “Damn,” Dean breathed to himself, wiping a hand down the back of his neck and watching as she disappeared over the rise and into the night. He shook his head and laughed at himself, letting his hand fall to his side, but it smacked into hard metal. He looked down and smiled. Running his hand up her sleek, black, bonnet, trailing his fingers along the shining, metal, lining. He opened the door of the impala and climbed in, settling into her well worn leather embrace. “Alright Baby, let’s go get Sammy.” He said to his one, true, love.

have a few issues I could really use some help with. The family car that I have been driving wasn't in my name but I was still covered on the insurance until one day I hit a mailbox with the passenger side mirror. The mailbox did not sustain any damage but the mirror somewhat did. I didn't call the police when it happened since the damage was extremely minimal. Anyways, then a couple weeks later a different family member (not the owner) had a little bit of a bigger accident when an animal suddenly appeared in front of the car forcing another accident. I have not had an accident in over 12 years but since I was mentioned after that second accident, I was also excluded from the insurance policy for that vehicle. The insurance cost is something like $158.00 per month but now they want the owner to add about $50 or $60 more per month EACH for the 2 people that were excluded because of the accidents.The car payment is about $415.00 per month and the insurance was $158.00 per month for just the owned which does not even drive the car at all but now they want an extra hundred per month for those 2 excluded drivers if they want to drive that car. After Five Decades, This 1968 GTO Remains In Original Showroom Condition

History Takes Off With This Two-Owner Original Muscle Car

George Zanebis was the first owner of this immaculate, 26,826-mile 1968 GTO four-speed coupe. His mint 1960 Thunderbird had been banged up in L.A. traffic, so he had the urge to replace it with a modern muscle car.

A mechanic for American Airlines at the time, George was in a coffee shop at LAX Airport having lunch with some of his cohorts, sitting at the bottom of a U-shaped counter. Seated to his left was movie legend Rock Hudson, along with a bevy of stewardesses providing first-class attention.

To his right were two men wearing business suits and ties. George began complaining to his buddies about the performance of a 390 Torino he recently test-drove. “It just didn’t seem that fast” he said. One of those two executive-types was Jack Anderson from Royal Pontiac, right there in Hollywood (no connection to the Pontiac dealership by the same name in Royal Oak, Michigan). The other guy was the Pontiac division VP, on his way back to Detroit. George remembers him as “John somebody.” The VP instructed Anderson to “give his business card to that young man and make sure he test-drives, then buys himself a new GTO.”

George special-ordered this Flambeau Burgundy model with a Black Cordova top the day after his test-drive at Hollywood’s Royal Pontiac on January 17, 1968. His new GTO arrived at the dealership on February 27, and wore more than $1,200 worth of options, including power windows, steering, and brakes with discs up front. Its upscale, supercar flavor gave it all the performance characteristics of today’s modern equivalents, such as a Hemi Challenger or Camaro SS. All it needs is a set of modern wheels and tires to prove it. No wonder restomods are so enticing.

Since this car’s timeless design remains, you have to wonder what would happen if GM built this very same 1968 model GTO all over again, with new mechanicals and safety features. What market segment doesn’t love the idea of a powerful, front-engine, rear-wheel drive, two-door coupe? It would be like buying a perfect restomod straight from the factory.

This was the first year of a distinct styling upgrade that put the GTO body on the fast track to the next decade. This GTO is the High-Output—or H.O—version, which was the first engine option on the order form that deviated from the standard package. It bought a 10.75:1 compression, 360 hp at 5,100 rpm, and a torque rating of 445 lb-ft at 3,500 rpm. The close-ratio four-speed works with 3.55:1 rear gearing to make this particular GTO more of a mid- and upper-range ruffian than a stoplight bandit.

Not only did the 1968 Pontiac represent a new, smoother exterior style, but it also incorporated the fantastic–looking and performing Enduro front bumper/nose piece designed to resist significant damage from low-speed contact with other cars and objects. It would establish a trend for the auto industry still in use today by virtually all car makers worldwide. At the same time, this new bumper design took a big bite out of the crowbar’s reputation as a tough guy, thanks to Pontiac’s national ad campaign promoting its new bumper technology.

One commercial showed movie star and Pontiac spokesperson Paul Richards wearing a white dinner jacket, black bow tie, and white gloves, packing an industrial-grade crowbar. He began the sales pitch, then took seven major-league swings with said crowbar against the front of that GTO. Three swings to the passenger-side leading edge of that bumper, two shots to the center nose piece, then two more to the driver-side leading edge—all to no avail. You could even hear him slightly out of breath when he finished swinging and resumed the verbal portion of his presentation. To punctuate, he tossed the crowbar down on the concrete floor so all could hear the conspicuous ringing of real steel.

This GTO’s physical dimensions set the standard for cars of this type—and would last for decades. This 1968 Pontiac GTO has the same wheelbase as that of a 2015 Camaro, with a width 1-inch narrower than a new Dodge Challenger. In addition, the GTO’s height is almost 3 inches lower than a new Shelby Mustang, and it weighs less than any of those modern torch-bearers.

The wheelbase on the 1968 Tempest/GTO series was cut down by 3 inches compared with that of the previous year, while the overall length was shortened in the process by approximately 6 inches. These reduced dimensions—and the all-new styling-—kick-started the brand, resulting in the second best-ever GTO sales figure for a single year. It was also awarded Motor Trend’s coveted Car of the Year honor.

Just because this car has been babied its entire life doesn’t mean it hasn’t felt the old performance whip from time to time. One evening, George took his friend, who had moved to the States from Greece, out cruising. It would have a dimension-changing impact on the visitor’s concept of the physical world, at least as it relates to time and distance–American-style, that is. After all, our overseas visitor drove a four-cylinder Fiat back home, so he had no reference point for the sudden physical violence that was about to occur.

The experience took place in 1972 at the intersection of La Cienega Blvd. and Slauson Ave. in the heart of Los Angeles. At the time, it was wide-open pavement and nothing but surrounding oil fields. George, his pal, and the GTO were minding their own business at the stoplight when a 1969 Dodge 440 Super Bee pulled up next to them. We all know very well what that meant.

The hand-painted red letters “RP” displayed on several places of the car indicate that this GTO was bound for Royal Pontiac in North Hollywood, California.

At the “green” both cars launched explosively with climbing revs and burning rubber. The Mopar grabbed the lead at the punch, yet the Pontiac would eventually drive by the Dodge, even though it had to go into triple-digit speeds to do so. George said he backed off at 110 mph. His friend was in a state of shock. He reacted like someone who had just survived a train wreck and was so overcome by it all that he refused to speak to his lifelong friend for two days, even though they rode to and from work together every single day.

Then there was that Sunday-morning episode on the Santa Monica Freeway when a red Ferrari 308 GTR pulled up to next to George, and just stayed even with him for a several minutes. Soon, Mr. Ferrari bumped the speed up to 65 mph, so George matched it. Not long after that, the ante was raised to 75, so the GTO motored up next to the Ferrari again, then stayed there. Eventually, they eased up to about 105 mph, and then cruised side-by-side for several miles, neither one attempting to pull away from the other. A small-displacement, high-revving Italian V8 and a large American V8 torque monster must have produced an extraordinary exhaust duo—a beautiful riff at every rev. All too soon, George’s exit came up so he gestured so-long, and parted company while delighting in an experience only gearheads would understand.

George never intended this car to be a daily driver, which is why every house he lived in had a garage or basement accessible via the driveway—so his GTO could spend much of its time out of the elements.

Note the car is wearing Rally 1 wheels from the factory, not the newer Rally 2 series, which George specified during the special-order process.

His most nerve-racking experience with this car was one day back in the 1970s, when George was forced to drive it in the rain for ten long, agonizing minutes. That may have been the only time in this car’s history when it was exposed to such a cruel act of nature. It was this attitude George had that kept the unrestored GTO in virtual showroom condition for five decades.

As time went by—with the GTO sitting undisturbed and covered by two king-size bed quilts in his clean, dry basement—George began to consider the previously unimaginable: passing the car along to another enthusiast. But he wasn’t about to sell it to just anyone.

Now, Tim Baker knew about George’s car for years, and the two had met early on, but at the time George was just not ready to part ways with his beloved GTO. Eventually, Tim got the call and was invited back to purchase this rare machine. George liked the idea that his car would have the right kind of company around it, as Tim was a Pontiac guy himself and already had a couple of them in the family.

Tim got the Tin Indian bug from his dad, who had a 1955 model he can remember riding in. By age 16, Tim had his first Pontiac, a 1966 LeMans convertible four-speed. Next came a 1968 Firebird. At the moment, he also owns a 1966 GTO Tri-power four-speed convertible and a 1971 Trans Am 455 H.O. four-speed. These Pontiacs already socialize with a brand-new Mustang Shelby GT350 and bad-to-the-bone 1961 Impala bubbletop with a turbocharged LS series small-block, a six-speed and four-wheel disc brakes.

When Tim purchased the GTO from George in June 2016, the odometer registered less than 27,000 miles, and it was rolling on its original Rally wheels and tires. Everything still works on this high-option car, including its H.O. engine. Tim says it barely feels broken-in when he drives it around the neighborhood.

The spare tire has never been on the ground because it has never been disconnected from its mounting bracket.

The paper trail for this car couldn’t be more complete. The original owner kept everything imaginable that pertains to it, including the actual window sticker, purchase order, receipts for the deposit and down payment, loan payment book, all the manuals and warranty documents, and the Protect-o-Plate. A 10-day temporary California tag and black plates issued in March 1968 as well as a carb-related recall notice complete the trail of authenticity.

Only the tires have been replaced so the car can be driven safely. Naturally, those originals are still with the car and are leaning up against the wall. Recently, George gave Tim a box containing the car’s original drivebelts and filters that he saved for decades after they were replaced during one of the car’s early service intervals.

Tim plans to keep the GTO indefinitely since it fits so perfectly into his lifestyle. Naturally, it will be driven from time to time, but here’s the thing: A beautiful, trend-setting, classic GTO muscle car doesn’t require hours of drive time to appreciate what it can do. In fact, just a brisk lap around the block can instantly generate memories that will remain vivid forever. Not even a crowbar can pry those loose.

The 1968 GTO was restyled and trimmed down to a sleeker, more manageable size. The phrase “coke-bottle design” is often used to describe this new model, although the words smooth, clean, and aerodynamic do the car’s shape more justice. A shorter wheelbase and less overall length brought this car’s platform more in line with its new, more efficient look.

Retractable headlights, in combination with the ground-breaking, crowbar-embarrassing Enduro frontend drives this car straight to the top of the technology chart. Except for the tires, everything else you see is original and correct as it came from the factory. The rolling-stock change was purely a safety precaution.

Inside, this GTO looks as good as it did the day it rolled off the assembly in the early weeks of 1968. The tan/parchment interior surfaces contrast royally to the burgundy exterior paint, and all accessories operate as new. No noticeable wear marks or blemishes of any kind can be seen, not even on the carpets.

Pontiac dashes and gauge layouts always looked sporty and special compared with almost any other car. Consider the dash pod in the second-gen Trans Am. The one in this hot rod dares to incorporate a wood veneer for that European sports-car look. Three large dials hold all the data drivers from this era needed.

Notice the discoloration on the stone wall in the background after only a few years. Now, notice the lack of discoloration on the GTO after almost five decades. George took great care in covering and storing it to maintain its pristine state.

Take a good look all you GTO purists out there: If you are striving to restore your own 1968 GTO, this is exactly what the finished product should look like. Except for those new drivebelts and filters, everything you see is the way it looked when it left the factory.
