hey there, really really long shot. but I am trying to track down an (old) favourite peterick fic of mine—at one point it had been posted on live journal but I think it ended up being posted cross platform to a03 too… it followed Pete and Patrick from when they met through to just before the fob hiatus. I remember a key plot point was Pete gifting Patrick a (baby blue? I think?) guitar early on. Mikey/Pete made an appearance and there was a suggestion of Patrick and Bob Bryer at one point?
sorry anon, i've not read a whole lot of lj fic, or fic that was written that long ago. don't recognise this one.

Pete Wentz was an all-state soccer player and considered pursuing soccer professionally, and yet there is only ONE (1) very short soccer AU on AO3? What? @ FOB fandom, please, I am begging you.
Patrick sings the national anthem. Patrick, for some reason, also plays soccer. Patrick is the new PR coordinator. Patrick owns the local sports bar the team always visits after home games. Patrick runs a record store... and Pete's thinking about retirement.

"pete wentz is probably one of the worst bass players i know, but for some god forsaken reason he’s in our band, and i can’t really kick him out. really i should be saying my band though, it was my idea, not theirs. i told joe about it, then joe told pete, pete told andy, and now here we are. i really had no say in who was going to be in the band, but if i did, i probably wouldn’t still have a band to play with, but i digress. pete wentz is currently our shitty bassist and i can’t really find a replacement who’s any better.
i should've probably posted this on my other blog, but to keep up with the themes i think i'll start posting all of my writing that involves peterick on here. it also helps separate my main blogging from my peterick blogging, and the perks of having my space space to post these things here. anyways LOL. i posted this first chapter about a week ago now (?) but i guess i'll post it to here to help with boosting it. :] give it a read if you'd like. i'll be posting a new chapter to it soon, possibly this week if i'm lucky. ciao!

Patrick, determined to make sure they recover the lost bits of friendship from hiatus, starts telling Pete all the things he loves about him and how he makes him feel. This goes on for a few days. Will they be able to work it out together?
