oh god—I got the same problem though where i read a lot of fanfic type of shit but am trying to get back into reading like actual books. i’m one of them book dragon people too who just love to hoard books that sound so interesting but then have a hard time actually getting around to reading them. i kinda got back into reading actual books when school was in session bc i take public transport to my college and have like almost a 2 hour trip one way & didn’t want my phone dying on me in case i needed it. but like if you ever have a situation like that i’d say just bring any book that sounds remotely interesting to you and try to read some of it cuz like the amount that i was able to read and the books i was able to get through just bc my anxious fear of not wanting run into an instance i’d need my phone & it’d be dead😮💨—🦇
no because honestly!! i'm trying to get back into reading and I did a little during school, but I started with like my normal length of books which was 400+ and i never finished them, so i'm trying to look for shorter books!!
Mermay continues with my concept art and character design work for Isiri. Lots of different deep sea concepts got thrown in here, but overall I’ve had fun writing up this undersea culture and how it differs from shallow sea mermaids in the universe we’re working in for the ttrpg. She has a flap flap buddy and eats whalefall and carcasses when she can, which is all I can really ask for in a mermaid character.
My penciled and inked pages from "Enough", which I wrote and drew during this year's 24 Stunden Comic am Wannsee, will be up on the LCB's website later this year! In the meantime I've put up a post for subscribers on Patreon detailing my process behind it. I expect to work on finishing the comic sometime in 2024 🤞🏻
do you ever think about how a series of tiny choices like "I guess I'll watch that show" can like totally and entirely change huge aspects of your life
