You know I've seen a lot of people bashing how Emmeryn was handled in FE: Awakening, what with her being a potential recruit but she "suddenly has amnesia".

But wasn't the implication that she had something happen to her akin to Robin? That maybe for example it's not *our* Emmeryn, but another Emmeryn thrust through time after death to help her brother? Or perhaps Emmeryn has somehow found herself in this weird interdimensional trans-timeline state?

Like. Awakening has all this absolutely wild timeline stuff that is hard to wrap your head around (I never got to play future-past either, need to do that some day) yet somehow everyone I've seen bash Emmeryn never considered that maybe she also is caught up in this wibbly wobbly timey wimey nonsense and just like Robin lost her memory for it?

I'm not crazy, right? Like, that does make sense?

I remember having a small dagger. It was pretty but sharp. I think the idea was if I had a weapon, I could defend myself if something happened. But ...they never taught me how to use it. It was before the king died, and I was kidnapped once by a group of bandits, they were hoping for some money. I tried to use the dagger on them....the leader asked me what I was doing in a not very polite way. I guess they took pity on me after I explained that it was for defense but that I wasn't taught anything about how to use it, because then they spent the next few hours teaching me basic combat and fed me before taking me back to the castle. Chrom was the only one that noticed that I was gone. He was three at the time.
