Well, it has been a mixed decision to not put FFVII on the poll for favorite final fantasy games.
I gave my reasoning as it was more recent, by which I meant, between the nostalgia for the original and the new fans brought in by remasters remasters it would probably dominate, and while other games have remasters, VIIs are significantly different to be a new category for me.
As I only had 12 spots on the poll, I decided not to include it on that particular poll,and include it in a future one if the poll was popular. And I'm amazed at how popular it was, and how many nice things people have said in the reblogs.
I was going to do this later, but the time seems right for now. So, throwing in everything but the movies-
*I know that the later games come out on more systems, I'm just keeping it simple and sticking to play stations and mobiles.
*Oh yah, I now remember why I was going to wait. I meant to include Rebirth. Oh well, that can go in a future poll about spinoffs/ sequels and the like

Turnabout mirrors!
So I said the assassin compared himself to Phoenix, and want to talk more on it!
Until the later part of the investigations, Phoenix had thought that Engarde was innocent and had been working hard to prove it. Even when other people around him were sure he was guilty. Even when they were giving him evidence for such. Adrian was certain of it to the point of trying to frame him for the murder he did commit. Edgeworth was giving him supporting facts for her motive. Phoenix wanted to belive he was defending an innocent man. Up until he couldn't anymore. Until the facts piled up, until he unlocked Engarde's psychelock and got the real Engarde.
Phoenix has until this point trusted the innocence of the client. It's a part of what makes him a great lawyer, his belief and willingness to fight for them, even in insane odds.
And Likewise we have Shelly De Killer,working the case from the other side. Like Phoenix, he trusts the client and is fighting insane odds for him. He's going outside all of his usual style to take care of him. He's become a kidnapper, he's fought the police, he's testifying in court remotely!
And if we take his comments about considering Phoenix as an apprentice, as sincere, he sees a lot of similarities between the two of them. They take pride in helping their clients to the best of their ability, and go beyond what most people would consider for that.
Phoenix's career is pretty crazy (and will get crazier). It's probably why he targeted Phoenix to represent Engarde in the first place. He's the type of guy who goes "all in" for the client, I doubt he would have picked any rando. That Phoenix was close certainly helped, but I don't think was the deciding factor.
So the end of the trial becomes a mirror for the end of the investigations. Who needed the evidence to believe in Engardes guilt? Phoenix. And so, at the end of the trial the person who needed to see the evidence to know the truth about Engarde was Shelly De Killer. And so the truth set them free.

Wait. I know Kairi is an accidental inheritor of Aqua's keyblade, but this could technically be an inheritance ceremony. Riku has given Kairi a keyblade, has allowed her to hold it, and she accepted it and chose to fight with it. And it accepts her.
Riku becomes a master in dream drop distance. And also currently has some funky personhood/ body status going on right now, being Rikunort. Does that not fill the requirements of the inheritance ceremony.
So does that make Kairi riku's heir or Xehanorts?
Yes it didn't glow. But that was added later.
