Since it's Indie Animation Day...
I figured I'd repost that list of other animation creators on YouTube that I shared last week, separate from it's original, weird context.
I've also included several more entries based on suggestions in the comments. Thanks for the feedback!
General Content Warning: Some of the below is not for kids, or contains violence or other subject matter some viewers might find distressing. Please use your adult discretion.
Also, this is not a list of moral endorsements. I know some of these creators personally, but many of them I do not. While I have tried to make sure I'm not listing anyone who is a criminal or otherwise objectively harmful person, I don't have encyclopedic knowledge of every little internet drama that has gone down (and chances are I'm not super interested in hearing about it all because it's really difficult to tell fact from fiction from hyperbole around here).
Anyway, check out some Indie Animation:

love your stuff finchwing! you've always been one of my favorites in the wc community. could you tell me about your ocs?
aw man thank you ;o;
admittedly I haven't fleshed out my ocs much, but here are some I'm happy to talk about!
^finch is my main guy, been my mascot for a long ol time. I kinda use her to represent my art and online persona. I think of her as kinda lazy, chilled out, laid back, who just vibes
^Piper is kinda new but I think of her as more of my fursona! I wanted a character that more closely represented me and my interests (wanted more birdlike features) she's a weird little creature who is dumb like me
^I got the carapals, who are a collection of caracals I designed that I liked enough to do something with. My weird lil idea with them is that they're illegally backyard bred caracals who all live on a remote 'farm', they've squadded up to escape. Also they're in a band??
they're just characters I have a lot of fun with LOL
^I also have a collection of bird/cat/raptor things that I find a lot of fun to draw, and I have a weird story I've made in my head about a werewolf-esque guy who can turn into one of these. Bc those are always fun
I have a few more ocs but I don't want this to go on for too long, thanks for having an interest!!!

SO uh... Remember that time I came up with all those Warrior Cat versions of the Danganronpa cast? Well guess who's been chronically addicted to playing Clangen for the last month.
I made these using a program called CatMaker which is based on Clangen, but unfortunately there doesn't yet exist a function to export the cats you make so you can play with them in the game. So this is the next best thing I could do
I'll give you a minute to try to guess who everyone is based on names and appearance if you want to, then come back and read under the cut
Alright you back? Ready? Ok then!

i hope people dont ask this to often for it to get annoying, but, one, what brushes in Clip Studio Paint do you use for sketches, lineart ect?
and two, do you have any tips for a beginner artist/animator using Clip Studio Paint?
I havent used CSP regularly in a while actually! When I did though I typically used the 'Tapered pen' for sketching and lines which is just one of the default pen tools. For more painterly stuff I would recommend DAUB's brushes! (in PS these days I use a basic soft round brush with pen pressure for most things, and occassionally various hard textured brushes for lines if I feel like it. I use various brushes from kyle websters megapack in PS but I can never remember which ones oops)
I started using CSP after I was already comfortable with photoshop so I'm not sure if I have much helpful advice for anyone whos more new to digital art or has only used simpler programs in the past, but I'd definitely recommend poking around the asset library for resources, as well as the official CSP tutorials. Ofc there's a lot of resources on youtube and such as well especially if you're trying to learn how to do something specific in your program, off the top of my head I think Finchwing and Louixie have done videos about animating in CSP!

I miss the DA days so bad that site truly was something, my online experience since has never come close to 2015 da
Riverspirit was my jam in 2015 i loved their stuff omg, same with niftysenpai, finchwing, silverwolfnight, mizu-no-akira, xJaystarzx, ginjaninja and all the old wc comics (EOAR, The Perfect Green, the recruit, the owls flight to name a few) and more people im probably forgetting LOL i love going back and looking at old wc stuff the fandom changes and adapts so much it makes the og stuff hit differently, heres to too many more years of making battle cats content LOL 🤝
it was the time when all i wanted to do was make stuff and show it to my friends and nothing else :,)
crazy how i recognize every single user you mentioned as well as every comic LMFAO. kinda feel like going back to reread them to be blasted with the nostalgia beam. AND YEAH, i dont know how to describe it but everythings so different in terms of talking about these dumb books in comparison to the usual stuff now, comes with growing up and recognizing its flaws i suppose, but i think thats a funny part of what keeps us here too is what im guessing lolol. heres to us drawing these cats forever and ever HAHAH 🤝

One of my favorite things about the StarClan’s Chosen MAP is that there are folkd in there from all across the “generations” of wc animators. Older well-known names names Finchwing, Mata Schmata, and Maplespyder, alongside the newer ones like Cheetah Z, Faded Kat, and Manchkin. It really makes it feel like the whole community, past and present, came together to celebrate these silly cat books for their 20th anniversary. I dunno man, it makes me emotional.
Yeah definitely! It’s amazing to have so many different generations of animators come together for it
