Random question but, in your opinion, what’s the easiest animal to draw?

oh man that's such a tricky one, I guess it depends on what you're used to?? Animals that are just like one shape and seem easy, like seals, rats, whales, end up not being easy bc their roundness n lack of form just makes it harder to figure out the proportions n where to place things in relation to each other, they end up being so tricky omg

I feel like whales are probably a good shout tho, bc they're quite a long streamline shape with few crazy details. As long as you observe them well enough to know roughly where to place things, like the eye especially, they're a bit easier to get right. Esp since they're so like far detached from the usual mammals we're used to, like cats n dogs, they're easier to get wrong without them looking TOO wrong, yknow? We're so used to looking at cats n dogs that it's easier to get em wrong, we're very used to what they look like
