idk if you've read monster manor in fictif but if you have I got a request: Casimir and Rainier when MC showing them how the internet works, like social media, websites, youtube videos, etc

I have read MM! It’s sooo good. That’s a really great idea and I’d love to! This is the first time I’ve written for them though, so it may not of fully captured their essence but, i did give it my best go. Enjoy & sorry if there is any mistakes.💕

Monster Manor: MC Teaches Rainier & Casimier About The Internet!

Warnings: none

Scenario: While on a break from renovating the house, the lovely sounds of an upbeat song starts playing; it’s the MC’s phone going off. Finally they get curious and ask the MC to explain phones and how they work/what they’re for.

As soon as you start explaining how the phone functions and what it’s for, he is all ears!

He asks as many questions as possible and is soooo taken with the concept of a phone.

When you mention the internet? He’s even more curious now!!

You show him how it works and about how you can search literally ANYTHING and learn all about random things!

You two spend heaps of time searching all manner of things, from food recipes, to the history of Earth.

He is so excited!

The entire time his wings and tail are just flapping and swishing about.

You may get hit in the face by either his tale or wings because of this.

He is so sorry though.

Eventually your deep dive into the internet leads to the mention of cats!

So with his curiosity and enthusiasm about cats, their was only one thing you could do~

You introduce him to the wonderful world of cat videos!

He is speechless and in love!

Spends hours watching videos, asking you to load more and more for him to watch.

Literally cries because he finds them sooo cute.🥺

Tries to convince you to let him have one.

Eventually you show him games…

He is amazed!

He particularly likes RPG’s! He loves the adventure and thrill!

He also is really taken with cute, anxiety reducing games.

It’s a great experience and the two of you have so much fun together.💕

He loves social media. He loves seeing all these different people talk abut their lives and share pictures.

He is in awe honestly.

He used to sneak into town to listen to peoples stories and adventures. And now because of this internet, he can experience the world!

From thrilling fictional adventures! To the mundane. He gets to see it all.

Please show him cameras!!!! It will make him sooo happy. He will literally take pictures of you and him, as well as Casimier, Mimi, and the house.

Bonus: When he learns about cats and wants to get one? That’s when you tell him about Mimi <3 After spending a while searching the house for her, you find her eating. He is in love with her. She actually lets him pat her✋🏻 They become fast friends. And the rest they say, is history!

When you start explaining to him about the internet, he is a little confused at first.

This is super advanced technology. Cars he understood more because there had been an equivalent in his time to compare it too.

But he is still very interested in learning about it.

He is quiet as he listens to you explain and show him how it works. He lets the information swirl around his head for a little bit.

When he does finally speak, he has an amazing grasp on the basics of how everything functions.

He enjoys looking at cooking blogs. Seeing all the different foods and recipes from around the world.

Definitely finds the concept of videos and movies weird but also intriguing.

After watching a random pop-up ad on one of the cooking blogs about an anime (not that sort🙄) you offer to show him Netflix.

He has heard you mention Netflix before but was too scared to ask what it was.

He is cautious, but he agrees.

Is very surprised! And taken with all the different movies and shows.

As a former noble man, he used to watch plays all the time. To see how far entertainment has come, he is amazed.

You show him Beauty and The Beast….

Both loves and hates Beauty and The Beast. Loves it because it reminds him of you two. Hates it because it romanticises the Beasts curse.

You also show him modern music!

He loves it!

Some things he doesn’t like, but some he does.

(I can see him being a Harry Styles fan….don’t know why.)

You two now regularly have cooking/baking sessions.

You spend time trying out all the different dishes on food blogs, as you listen to music and talk.

He will make pet friendly meals/treats for Mimi🥺

When you show him social media, he is surprised. He knew the world had gone on without him and had changed. But to actually see how much?

Witnessing all the ways technology, and the world in general, has advanced makes him really upset. But he is glad it’s you that is being able to help him experience the new world as much as he can from within the house.

He doesn’t really spend anytime on social media (not like Rainier) but he does like when you show him stuff, and tell him about the latest news.

Also finds out about cameras after Rainier all but tackles him so they can take a picture together. <3

He is a bit skeptical about cameras though. But like with most things, gives them a go.

He has a picture of you, him, Rainier, and Mimi framed in his room.

Hey guys, it’s been… a minute. The last time I posted on this blog, the Dorian takeover hadn’t happened yet, Fictif was still been actively updated, and I was working on analysing the results of a survey about Rime. That kind of fell apart when the app collapsed, but I was going through my phone today and I still have so many screenshots from Fictif stories that I initially intended to post. And I figured… why not still post them, y’know? Why not celebrate what enjoyment the app did bring? Move With Me! (Monster Manor)

It's the end of a long work day, and the most recently renovated room is particularly empty for once. But it's no mistake--This room is meant for exercise! It's a perfect way to bond, break shells, and wind down after a day (or years) of built up energy.

Characters: Rainier, Casimir

I was so worried that this was gonna be mid, but that's because it was in my notes--The first draft. I revised it and changed the POV to second person, which made it flow SO much better!

I think this is my first Monster Manor fic in this perspective, so let me know what you think!

Finally, you could take a deep breath, and inhale fresh, clean air--No dust or debris to be seen. The walls rippled and new wallpaper smoothed out flush to the frames of the house, light and airy in color, a dark brown floor going still--No cracks or holes to fall through.

It was the most recent room you had finished renovating, on your “day-off”. You just couldn’t help working on the last bit of repairs, and as light poured in from the expansive, open window, it was already turning out to be a high reward.

Although, one thing was a little strange; Through other transformations, the House provided nothing short of new appliances, furniture and miscellaneous things to make the room feel comfortable. You walked the perimeter of the room, arms open at the vast space. Only a few potted plants reached towards the sunlight, coiled in their ceramic pots.

“Am I missing something?” You asked aloud, glancing around at the floor, the closet and the door. “It’s…Too big to be a bedroom. A living room? But it’s still quite…Vacant.”

In reply, a rustling came from the double-door closet. It unfolded on its own, and brightly colored, rolled up mats tumbled out, a giant yoga ball rolling away in bliss.

“...Oh!” It finally clicked as you stuck out a leg to catch the ball. “That makes so much sense! What a great idea!”

The House settled back, a satisfaction apparent in its creaks.

Each mat was a different color and pattern; You chose your own favorite color, and gazed at the others. The fourth one, in particular.

After meeting Casimir, Rainier only showed up a few days later. And it was a few weeks after you discovered a fourth seat at the dinner table. Strangely enough…No one had shown up, yet.

“Four of us, won’t that be something? Will there be more after that?” You glanced up at the ceiling, but the House was quiet.

“Huh…Guess it’s not the right time.” You shrugged, and started to pick up the strewn exercise materials.

A shadow passed across the room, a shadow with particular horns. “Good afternoon, MC! Woah!"

Rainier peeked around the doorframe, and his eyes lit up. "It's so much nicer here! I can unfold my wings! I could even transform if I needed to!"

“Do you exercise in your bigger form?” You wondered, pausing. Rainier shook his head.

“That would make it trickier. But I do like exercising! Is that what this room is for?”

“Seems so!” You considered it, and then dropped two mats. What fun is it if you don’t try out some exercises at least once?

“Care to join me?”

The faint ache in your shoulders seemed to say otherwise, but Rainier nodded eagerly, setting his belongings in a cubby before joining you in the middle of the floor.

“So…What are we doing?”

"Good question. Maybe we shouldn't overdo it, but...Have you ever heard of Yoga?"

"Yoga...Nope. What is that? It sounds like...Yogurt."

"It's a series of stretches, they help you in balance as well! Some of it can get pretty complex, but that's way too much for today."

"Balancing is essential for flying, I'm great at that! Can we try it now?"

You began to nod, but suddenly remembered that renovation clothes were made for moving--Moving furniture and repairing broken appliances. Trying to do yoga in your patched overalls and worn shirt would be very uncomfortable in a tree pose.

So you would need to change, and Rainier might find something suitable for aerobics, too. “Let’s change, and meet back here. Ten-ish minutes sound good enough?”

“Sure, MC!” Rainier said, and his shoulders lifted as a light bulb went off. “What if Casimir joins us, too? We can both learn from you!”

It definitely wasn’t a bad idea, and you couldn’t argue against it. “I’d love that.” You grinned, and winced slightly as you rose to your knees, then feet, and you parted ways with the dragon.

In your own room, the House was already prepared, with new clothes for the occasion, warm from the laundry room with a smell of fresh linen and lavender. They fit your shape, and it was nothing less than impressive to try a few lunges in, stretching your arms over your head.

Maybe this wouldn’t be so bad after all!

The only thing to do was to unroll your mat, and wait for Rainier and Casimir to return. You couldn’t help but wonder if Casimir would show up in his noble attire…A small part of you was eager to see the both of them flex the muscles that one showed off quite often, and the other hardly mentioned.

Voices and footsteps grew louder, and you perked up to listen better.

“I still can’t move past this…It’s so…Fitting! There’s no sleeves, nor even breeches! ”

“Isn’t that part of it? Though, I guess you are kinda used to puffiness. Maybe you can ask MC if they make those kinds of things in their town!”

“It’s-” You could hear Casimir’s flustered state through the wall. “It’s not puffy, it’s just-! Ah, nevermind. I feel quite out of my element, is all.”

The level of curiosity skyrocketed, waiting on bated breath for the door to open. Rainier popped his head in again, never failing to stay on the bright, unabashed side of things. “We’re ready!”

Rainier had no problem showing off his outfit, wearing a tanktop that definitely would not have made it onto Casimir’s chest- The shoulder straps were thin, and the color a dark blue, but it fit him as well as anything could, and hid no muscles of his abs or arms.

You gave a small applause, smiling. “Looks great! Casimir?”

Blushing to his ears, Casimir’s arms were folded over his chest, taking glances at his bare legs. He was only wearing a regular fitness shirt and long shorts to his knees, but it was more natural skin showing than he probably ever wore in his life.

You could still see the build of his upper arms, and the form of his chest, and you couldn’t help but grin; Although, for his sake, you gave him a warm smile, nodding approvingly.

“I think you look very handsome, the both of you. It’ll help you breathe more comfortably, I promise. And if you still want something different, I have no doubt we can find something better for you.

You glanced over him again, frowning slightly. “Are you comfortable, Casimir?”

He sighed quietly, slowly lowering his arms. “It’s…Just very different, is all. Yes, I’m fine.” He passed back a small smile, taking a deep breath to soothe his nerves.

“I promise we won’t go overboard today. I’m not exactly a yoga trainer myself…” You mumbled the last part. “But it’s not so bad! It goes kind of like this…”

It didn’t take long to roll everyone into the hang of the movement. Good stretching was the first step, and you explained each part, trying your best to remember a particular Trainer’s soothing voice as she repeated her poses in simplicity, effectiveness.

The only hard part was trying not to smile at how determined Casimir was at following; How Rainier seemed already very skilled and flexible, and was just happy to put it to a different use.

Your thoughts trailed off quickly--Maybe we should do this more often. Casimir looks really good in that shirt--No wonder he could pick you up so easily--What kind of exercises did Rainier do in his homeland? How does dragon-exercising work? Are there Olympics-

"MC." Rainier opened one eye and grinned. "You're leaning."

Your thoughts came to a careening halt, and you laughed airily, readjusting your arms. “I’m getting a little tired.”

“Don’t worry, you both should take a break, anyway. I’m still good to keep going! Do you want to sit on my back as I do some push-ups? The extra weight is good for me.”

Rainier changed forms entirely, swooping low to do push-ups instead. His hair fell down from behind his neck, long white strands among his golden eyes, sparkling as he met your gaze from below. “What do you say, MC?”

Your face--You couldn’t tell whether it was red from exercise, or from Rainier. You cleared your throat, giving a flustered smile. “You bet! You’ll have to teach me how to do proper push-ups next!”

Casimir had held up the pose as long as he could, a good few moments before slowly drooping, frowning as he struggled to stay in balance. “I think I’ll pass for now…”

You turned your eyes to Casimir, and reached out to gently squeeze his hands, bringing his arms back down to his sides with a laugh. "You can relax for now. You did great for the first day."

Like a mirror, Casimir’s face lit up in bright red, but he squeezed your hands back, before letting go to rub the back of his neck. You could still feel the tingle of contact like the ghost of warm stars.

Pride was something you couldn’t hold back, looking at both of them fondly as you made yourself comfortable on Rainier’s back.

“I hope this made you both feel better. Being able to move freely, I mean.”

"It was a wonderful first class." Casimir returned the warm smile. "I look forward to many more with you both."

Rainier nodded in agreement, and even the House seemed to enjoy the space; Its frame was particularly silent, but a relief washed over you, a feeling that was more than just a passing thought, but a certainty.

It was meant to be. Happiness shared, no hostility or lingering grief, but a peaceful space in a House that was, day by day, becoming more and more peaceful.

And whoever that fourth mat was built for, the empty room, the seat at the kitchen table, well--You could only wait eagerly for their arrival to the found family.

Ooh my first Monster Manor post

GN!Reader, I haven't read MM in a hot minute so bare with me, I may write a fic based off one of these points because I think the idea is funny

So you know how in the side story you can introduce him to anime?? Introduce him to cosplay. He's so excited about it. If you've done anything then he definitely wants to see pictures.

He'll cosplay!! If you help him get the stuff together. The House will make a temporary fashion runway/stage for you if you ask nicely.

He loves carrying things. I think? part? of it is like a reaffirming 'Yes He Is A Big Strong Man' type of thing and part of it is just that you (and Casimir but I don't think he shows it as much) are always impressed and hey! He likes that!

Remember how Rainier had. Like. A master or whatever that was a great wizard but was also clearly abusive and Rainier couldn't see it? Um. Please give him constant reassurance and praise. He needs it.

I think he keeps snaccs in his room.

Did you ever do the thing where you lick gummy bears and then throw them up so they stick to the ceiling? Rainier tries to do that but he always ends up eating them.

I think he'd like headpats. Especially around his horns.

He likes playing with Mimi! If she ever sleeps in his bed then he spends half the night awake staring at her in fascination. Always get super excited when he's allowed to pet her.

If the hallways are tall enough then he'll totally pick you up and fly you around. He offers to do it to Casimir too but he declines (he's scared of heights, I've decided off of no information at all). Sometimes Rainier can get a little over-excited and go too fast but he'll slow down when you tell him.

Sorry. Um. I started imagining Rainier watching Evangelion and he'd be so confused and then horrified and then really depressed. And then he would watch EoE and be horrified again. I do not think he would make it past the Asuka Berserk scene. I also. Mm. Do not think he would understand the Hospital scene. And anyways. He likes the EVAs but the rest of it makes him sad.

Also I'm gonna decide this with literally no proof of anything, I think his master is a lot like Gendo Ikari! So that hurts him too.

Does not understand trash talk. At all. You're gonna play something and you say you're gonna crush him and he goes "But I'm super strong!" and

Storytelling Time

Gn!reader & Rainier

Warning: None.

Real life anecdotes, made up fictional stories, or current occurrences with occasional modifications to add a sparkle of "mystery". The options were endless. Nevertheless, you were well-aware of the fact that telling stories, and getting to listen to them was one of the best activities ever.

So, when you found someone else who thought the same way as you, you could not help feeling excited about your shared interest. That way is how you found yourself staying up until late, dim light, crossed legs and voice going up and down according to the part of the story.

Attentive eyes from the dragon laying on his stomach followed your every move, as you expressed yourself to make storytelling an interesting experience. Rainier expressions were on sync with the story, allowing you to notice how immersed he was into the plot.

A pout would make its way onto his face whenever something slightly sad happened, and then you would see his eyes going from almost watery to bright with happiness.

You wondered whereas he was the most excited one while listening to the story, or if you were the one, due to how happy it made you seeing him enjoying himself.

When the story came to an end, Rainier finally lifted himself from his previous resting position to sit in front of you, his hands meeting in front of himself to clap. Playing along, you would slightly bow, thanking him at the same time for being the best audience you had ever had.

The brightest smile would make an appearance in response, and right after you would get to hear how the glowing being that was in front of you would comment each and every part of the story, telling you how they were his favourites, only to mention another one right after.

If there were a window open, you could probably have seen that the day was soon arriving, but at that moment all you knew was that there was no other place where you would rather be.

I really needed to write something about storytelling with Rainier. We both love stories, either listening to them or telling them, so it's a win-win for the two of us.

It would be such an amazing experience to get to get to listen to him talking about his numerous adventures as well, don't you think?

All you Arcana fans, I mean this in the best possible way, but shut the fuck up.

I mean it. Shut the fuck up.

You guys have nothing to worry about— and I say this as an Arcana fan myself. Yeah, maybe it sucks that any new “content” is gonna be on Dorian. It does, I get it— and I’m on your side, I think Arcana content should be on the original app that was made for it.

But that doesn’t fucking matter. You know why? Because at the end of the day, the storyline is over.

Each of the love interests have either learned their lessons in their respective upright routes, or they’ve gotten worse and doubled down in their reversed routes with the apprentice. They’ve each told us they love us. We’ve been with them every step of the way.

They’ve had their stories, their happy endings, and their sad ones.

You know who hasn’t had those endings?

Sage Lesath. Anisa Anka. Felix Iskander Escellun. Casimir de Gévaudan. Rainier. Fin Derodine. The MCs of those stories.

There are Fictif storylines that are still unfinished, and none of those endings are going to be on Fictif. None of those endings are going to be with those beginnings. We don’t even know if they’re GETTING endings at all.

The Arcana has had its time and its storylines, and while it’s sad, I think it’s time we laid the canon content to rest. That doesn’t mean the fandom has to die, it doesn’t mean we have to stop talking about it or making content. But the story is over.

Fictif’s stories aren’t.

Note: maybe OOC, some of these are kind of far fetched (Also I didn't read any of the paid scenes so I’m sorry if I got something canon wrong)

Renovating is pretty exhausting so of course a lot of work means a lot of rest. There's many ways to do so such as sitting down with some tea and snacks, reading together or to each other, cuddling or watching movies; either way you spend this time together quite often

speaking of movies, movie and show nights! At first at least there might be more of Casimir nerding over the technology than watching though /hj. Someone just please show this man the Beauty and the Beast. Or Transformers. First one is self explanatory, second one I just think would be funny. Also maybe Howls moving castle. That might be super far fetched but I think he'd like studio Ghibli.

Bonding with Mimi! Casimir really wants to gain back her trust and having you be there calms him Mimi. Though it's better than it used to be already there's still some tension between them and you're definitely helping. You also get to spend time with both of them so that's definitely a win!

You cannot convince me this man doesn't go into hour long rants and rambles about his interests after you asked one simple question. He can get pretty lost in it once he started and tends to get a little embarrassed about it once he realises. Cmon, he was all by himself for multiple centuries, he's not used to people being around. You encouraging him to go on, asking questions or referencing things he told you later on means a lot to him.

Of course it goes both ways, he absolutely loves listening to you talk, especially about things you're passionate about and will try to bring it up again later or engage in your hobbies with you together. He genuinely wants to know about you and your interests, for one he hasn't really heard from/about anyone else for a very long time (not counting cats and buildings) and also you're, of course he wants to hear everything you have to say

Okay okay okay this one's my personal favourite: hide and seek. I actually might write a whole own thing about that at some point soon because it'd just be so much fun! The house is quite big with super many hiding spaces. Now it's not something he'd suggest and yeah it might take some force persuasion to convince him but if you ask him really really nicely hell probably say yes, or just annoy him till he agrees (even more effective if Rainier joins). Alternatively just hide somewhere so he has no choice but to search (you definitely gave him a heart attack the first time you did that)

Casimir is old fashioned (I mean- how wouldn't he be) so your regular date nights are pretty classic. Usually it's a romantic dinner (brought to you by The House TM), sometimes it's dancing (like that one paid scene(? Is there one? Or am I mixing something up? Idk); he was taught to be a gentleman and he's gonna use that /hj

Bringing him modern things from shopping trips. It started off by you bringing him something he was curious about after you mentioned it and quickly developed into a habit of you bringing him trinkets whenever you're out. His curiosity makes you much more aware of how interesting even little thins can be and soon turned to you coming back from trips out the house with a bag of things like toys, gadgets and other fun things from the dollar store or similar. You then spend the day looking at what you brought, how it works and so on. Imagine spending the day with Casimir trying out a bunch of toys you bought or found with your old stuff (the type for children, don't think wrong here)

adding onto this because I love the idea of doing fun childish things with him (you'd have to be the one to initiate them though, potentially ‘force’ him, but he secretly enjoys it). Silly sleepovers with pillow forts, movies, teeny magazines (I want to just hand this guy a stack of these teen magazines and see what happens so bad), and snacks!

related a bit to the one above but spa days! He definitely needs some more self care. I do kinda think he likes stuff as skincare and and used to have a routine (nobility and stuff) he likely had to cut short or even drop it completely with the house's hostility. But now you're there and not only are there so many products your world has for this, it's also much more fun together, leading to entire days planned only for spa and wellness activities (like doing each other's nails, I have a little theory connected to Casimir and acrylic nails but that's all I'm saying on that)
